"Before risotto became a ubiquitous dish on the menus of neo-trattorias across Northern Italy, the simpler, more rustic version was known in Milanese dialect as “ris e lat”—rice and milk. You can try several risottos here, including Milanese riso al salto: a large, soft-yet-crispy pancake-sized disc of saffron carnaroli fried on both sides, delicately, in butter. The decor is a little kitschy, but it’s perfectly located in the city center in between Piazza Duomo and Castello Sforzesco, making it a popular and convenient spot for locals and tourists." - elizabeth de filippo jones

An absolutely great spot! From the decor to the service to the food, you'll enjoy having a meal at this tucked away gem. Although we got a table for two without a reservation, I highly recommend that you call ahead to reserve a table - we came in at opening for a 1 hour 15 minute time to eat hahaha. It got busy fast. As soon as you walk in, you are kindly greeted and quickly to your seat. Your head will be on a swivel, trying to take in the decor. Be sure to go for a small walk about to see the whole place - one of a kind. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and food came out fast. The food tasted great, although some purists may think it may not be quite "right" (see my Cacio e Pepe pic). An amazing meal - you definitely have to try this place out. Thanks for getting us in 😀👍

We booked a table for two in the gallery area, which had a cozy and pleasant ambiance. Even with our reservation, we waited around 15 minutes for our table to be ready. We ordered risotto and homemade pasta as starters, followed by the Milanese cutlet and veal for the main course, and finished with tiramisu for dessert. The food was enjoyable, though comparable to dishes at other, less well-known places. The service was friendly overall. Given the 40 EUR deposit required for online reservations, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of uniqueness. Also, if you’re dining solo and spend less than 40 EUR, the remainder isn’t refunded, and the reservation is limited to 1.5 hours. In summary, it’s a nice spot to visit for the atmosphere and photos, but if you can’t get a reservation, you won’t be missing too much.

A very unique restaurant typical like a small apartment from the 1970s, the interiors take you back in ages. It is a super small restaurant with very limited seats the maximum capacity table is 5 and one such table. You need to book 100% in advance and even with a fee which can be deducted in the final bill. I would not call this a cheap place but you pay for the experience and the location of the restaurant. They specialise on varieties of Risottos plus have meat and cheese options as well. They have 2 slots of reservations one 19:00 onwards and second slot after 21:00. There is another restaurant of the same chain in navigli slightly bigger and suitable for larger groups.

Very nice place with a vibe from past - loved it. Food is good, service is excellent! I recommend the place to everyone who wants to eat good food in a good atmosphere. There are only two minor downsides: one is the reservation procedure (has to be done way earlier) and the 40 EUR deposit, the other are the prices generally (though quality is good so the price/quality ratio is still fairly ok).

Google
Such a cute restaurant. We enjoyed every dish. We started with mondeghili. It was kind of fried meatball but better. The sauce that came with it was really good too (some sort of mayo). The thick veal cutlet was so soft and melt in my mouth! Beetroot risotto was super creamy and nutty. Definitely need to book in advance. They also send you a confirmation request a day before so u must confirm your reservation too. Great service and great food!

Google
Very nice and cozy restaurant. We have ordered risotto Milanese, cotolette and pasta. The size of cotolette was enormous, you can share it for 3. Everything was tasty but not wow, as i have red in internet. It worth to visit. Prices are not low.

I saw this cute little restaurant in one of the videos of Alessio and Jessi Pasini's and I knew we have to try it. We booked a table in advance. The reservation was so easy and amazing. They even let you choose the table you want to sit. We ordered the Flan di zucchine e fior di capra, Riso e latte "del bosco", Gnocchi di patate fatti a mano, the desert of the day, Caffe preparato con moka Bialetti and Chardonnay of their own. It was amazing 😋 It was my first time trying riso e latte and if you like gorgonzola, it is a must try. Gnocchi was the best I have ever had. The zucchini flan was such a refreshing antipasti and the tomatoes that comes with the flan were out of this world. The waiters and waitresses were so kind and friendly. After every dish, they came and checked with us if everything was fine. The toilet in the restaurant was so clean. I 100% recommend but don't forget to make reservations.

Google
The best meal we had in Milan! Absolutely delicious food. The restaurant itself is also really cool and kitschy- I loved the theming! We had the zucchini "flan" which was INSANE. Order it. The cheese plate was also delicious as were the fried meatballs, and our risotto was fab. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant- it isn't catering to tourists and is absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Milanese home cooked meal. This place is always booked, but you can make a reservation the day before sometimes. We had the Milanese veal cutlet. I almost didn't try it because it's fried but it's fried very lightly without much batter and is simply delicious. The view is so tender juicy and tasty. The saffron risotto is very good and we had the stirfry vegetables because I need vegetables. The restaurant looks like you're eating in your grandmother's kitchen. This is a must try if you want delicious home cooked food while away from home.

Yelp
Intro: After doing a bunch of sightseeing in Milan, we stopped by Riseolatte for dinner. While we didn't have a reservation, we were seated promptly upstairs (table for three). Ambiance (3.5/5): This Italian restaurant looks like your grandma's house. Lots of old school decor and it's the exact look they're going for. Homey, just like grandma's house. Seating is a bit tight and there's no A/C so things were a bit stuffy. Service (4.5/5): Our waitress was friendly and was pretty efficient in taking care of us. Service can be a bit of a miss in Europe but our experience at Riseolatte far exceeded the norm. Drinks (4.5/5): Good drink list. I ended up splitting some house wine with my buddy. They have it in different sizes and we went with the largest option of the house red. Food (3/5): I went with the osso bucco which is served with risotto (two of my favorite dishes in one). And part of what also made the dish so attractive is that risotto Milanese is a classic Milanese dish. Unfortunately, the dish didn't live up to the hype. Osso Bucco, done right is so tender that it falls off the bone. It's a slow cook type of meal and you can taste the results of that. Here, the meat was harder than it should have been, which indicates to me that they probably cut some corners. The risotto, on the other hand, was solid. As was the portion size. I was just expecting better with the osso bucco. My friends got the veal (elephant ears). Talk about a portion size. Three huge veal cutlets and fries. You can see why they call them elephant ears! I tried a bite and enjoyed it more than my dish. Overall: There's a lot to like about Risoelatte. Some dishes are a hit and some are a bit of a miss so make sure to choose wisely!

Christopher S.

Yelp
From the ambiance I expected this place to not live up to expectations but it was actually pretty great. Every dish I had here was excellent. Reservations are likely needed in advance and can be booked. The riso e latte dishes are good (as they should be) and so is the ossobuco, highly recommended. I was also able to try the gnocchi which was also very good.

Yelp
This is definitely the best place we ate in Milan. It's kind of tucked away. We actually walked past it. They allowed us to come in without a reservation even though they were busy. The staff was friendly and helpful. They spoke English and Italian. There are multiple levels in the restaurant. We were seated towards the top. There is a lot of older decor. Looks like it's from the 60's. The food was very good. We started with Mondeghili which are Milanese style meatballs. They had beef, parmesan, and mortadella. The Veal Milanese was perfectly fried and had delicious flavor. I highly recommend coming here if you are in Milan.

Yelp
If you're in Milan on vacation and are staying near the Duomo, I highly recommend checking out Risoelatte - it is such a FUN & UNIQUE restaurant, and the food was so good! We had heard the restaurant was a "must-see" from some friends of ours who recommended the restaurant during our stay in Milan so we couldn't wait to check it out. When we walked into the restaurant, we were immediately amazed by the unique atmosphere of the restaurant, you really feel like you stepped back in time to the 1960's. The entire restaurant was so unique, fun, and colorful. From the retro mint blue colored walls to the old school diner tables with red leather cushioned chairs, to the dining room set inside a recreation of a retro 1960's kitchen, to the clothes lines hanging from the ceiling with granny panties and vintage clothes hanging off them - you can't help but be amazed by all the details incorporated in the décor of the restaurant. Our table was small booth table under an open window with red checkered window covers on it, in a corner of the restaurant, and the cool breeze coming in from the window was really refreshing. For our date night, this place was a cute place to go to. Besides the fun retro atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Once of our favorite dishes you absolutely MUST TRY is the Risotto Con Ossobuco - it was one of the best dishes we had in all of Milan. Another favorite dish of ours was the pesto sauce pasta, we really enjoyed it. It was full of flavor and the pasta was fresh and homemade. It was delicious as well! The service at Risoelatte was excellent, everyone took excellent care of us during our entire meal. From the moment we arrived everyone was so welcoming, and the server took her time to explain the menu, make recommendations, and made great suggestions for menu items we should try. We were never rushed or hurried which was nice, we were able to take our time to enjoy the food, and the company of one another, and enjoyed a great date night. Overall, we had a great time dining at Risoelatte, the food was delicious, and we absolute loved the fun atmosphere of the restaurant. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with great food, I highly recommend making a reservation and checking out this hidden gem in Milan. We look forward to returning to Risoelatte on our next trip to Milan.

Yelp
Cute and charming restaurant with a 50s style decor, in a bustling area of Milan. The veal Milanese was delicious- so thin and perfectly crispy. Ossobucco with saffron risotto was a must, though we liked the other veal better. Nice simple side salad to go with everything. It seemed like three young women were running the whole (busy) restaurant, but the service was great! Definitely the place for classic Milanese dishes- make sure to get a reservation in advance!

Ruby F.

Yelp
We stopped by Risoelatte without reservations and the owner was nice enough to accommodate us right away. The atmosphere has such cozy vibes. Literally felt like we walked inside grandma's house. The service was amazing and also gave us good recommendations. We ordered the risotto with ossobuco and cotoletta in milanese style. The ossobuco was flavorful and delicious, super tender and fell off the bone. The cotoletta was simple, yet perfectly fried and tender. We also ordered tiramisu to end the course. Was glad we were able to end our Italy trip with this meal.

Shereen C.

Yelp
I had lunch at Risoelatte a few years ago. The restaurant was super cute, with a retro 60s home style -- great ambience, with charming decor. Food was good also. I had the Ossobuco con risotto alla milanese, and the marrow was delicious. I'd recommend.

Steve T.

Yelp
Delizioso amazing food great people ambience We came in very hungry. The pasta was delicious. The sauces were incredible. Very good thank you.

Julie G.

Yelp
The menu is not super vegetarian friendly. Lots of meat sauces and even the risotto is cooked in beef broth. The vegan options are nil. They were accommodating with offering spaghetti with tomatoes (not on the menu). But you're hard pressed to find anything green as "contorni". No spinach, broccoli, chickory, kale, etc....i think I remember seeing basil in one of the main plates. That said, the setting is very whimsical. Kinda reminded me of Disney World's "Pirates of the Caribbean". Staff is friendly enough despite seeming understaffed. Overall, great for tourists seeking a theme based restaurant. The spaghetti was good despite being unimaginative. My dining mates enjoyed their meals immensely.

Robert M.

Yelp
Service was excellent and was a fun place for dinner. My expectations for the food was high and although it was good it was certainly not outstanding.

Kathryn T.

Yelp
Retro Italian spot with homemade classics and huge portion sizes. We were looking for a local spot that wasn't catering to tourists, and a colleagues from Milan suggest Risoelatte. It was the perfect spot with a variety of delicious homemade options. I would definitely pop in again for the pasta (and always add the homemade burrata as an option).

Ben D.

Yelp
Sweet Mother of Jesus this place!!! We did have a botched reservation that routed us to another location, but they accommodated us for our only night in Milan. They do risotto here and they do it many different ways, all sublime. Whether it is fried, or fruit of the forest with blue cheese, or straight milk and pepper style, you can't go wrong. But the basil torte? Out of this world. Premium everything, slow food at it's accessibly-priced finest, with an emphasis on wines from Langhe and Valtenlina (!!!) this was an all-time experience. But the real winner here was the service. Our Italian is a dozen scant, unhelpful words, and their English is limited. No matter. Giggles, gestures, lots of pointing and head nodding, more giggles, how can one not have a delightful time? With a mid-mod furniture vibe inside, we walked a km back to our place filled with happiness and song. Truly, this was a memory to savor for our family of five

Gülcan T.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant, delicious food, incredible ambiance. Loved our dining experience.

Danielle W.

Yelp
We made a reservation not sure how it is to for walkins. They sat us right away. The server was so nice and graciously spoke English to us. The food is delicious and the panna cotta was our favorite part. This restaurant is just adorable you must go if you are in Milan!

Ryan Z.

Yelp
Worth the walk - fun date night! Skip the Milanese meatballs but the rest was top shelf!

Andrew L.

Yelp
This place has good reviews for a reason. It is decorated like a home and feels like I'm in nonna's kitchen. The cochetta was extremely delicious, one of the best things I've eaten in Italy. Get it milanese style, it's what they're known for! It was cooked to perfection and extremely tender. We also had a pesto pasta that was also delicious!!!

Andrea O.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant in the heart of Milan, with a '60s inspired decor, and a menu full of classic Milan dishes. We decided for two super Milan classics, risotto milanese with ossobuco and bone-in veal cutlet fried in ghee. Both were excellent, the risotto was properly cooked, enclosed in a luscious cream (but without cream!) made of butter, Parmesan, stock and the rice starch. The ossobuco was super tender and came off the bone so easily, fantastic. The cutlet was tender and moist, fried perfectly. I really enjoyed it. Desserts were delicious too. The menu was full of interesting options, will need to come back. Highly recommended!

Cristina A.

Yelp
Amazing experience! The food was AMAZING ! Every single dish was delicious and the service top notch. Talk about feeling like you're inside your Nona's house (grandmas house). The vintage decor set the mood for a unique dinner.

Jay W.

Yelp
My wife and I dined here on our final pm in Milan. At the last minute, I found Risoelatte on Yelp. Even though it was Friday, we rolled the dice and were able to get a table without a reservation. From our arrival, we were treated with friendliness and professionalism by the entire restaurant staff. The food was great and certainly a bit different than the Italian fare we've had prior which made for a great dining experience. A BIG THANK YOU to Lira (chef), Andrea, Fiorella and Karen for a great end to our stay in Milan.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
The service was fantastic! She got us in right away and let us know that there was a reservation after us, so we had about an hour and 20 minutes to order and eat. That was plenty of time! The food was delicious!

Anonymous M.

Yelp
A throw back to your mom's kitchen in the 1960s. Sure it's a little kitchy, but you quickly settle down to heartwarming plates of Milanese classics. Wines are reasonably priced and it's like going back home.

Alaina T.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had dinner here it was an amazing experience! Food was great ambiance made you feel like you were having dinner at Nonnas house! 10/10 recommend! The staff was fabulous made sure to go over changes in menu! If you are in Milan definitely check them out!

Yelp
This is a tough review to make as the reviews I have read are outstanding. I surely hope I just caught this restaurant on a bad night and/or ordered the wrong dish. My girlfriend and I visited Risoelatte on our last night in Italy after spending two weeks traveling throughout the country, including Sicily, Venice, Cinque Terre and finally Milan. We both consider ourselves to be "foodies" and had many outstanding meals throughout the trip. We hoped to finish on a positive note after the many positive reviews we read about Risoelatte. We were fortunate, or at least we thought, to get a table at this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but special. The 1960s theme of the restaurant provides a great vibe and atmosphere for dinner. However, the positive review stops here. I understand this is a family run restaurant, but the waitress appeared overwhelmed all night. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant, which I believe encompassed around 15-20 tables. It took almost a half hour before we were even able to place our order. We placed our order for the local specialty of Risotto alla Milanese and wine. We were informed this would take around a half hour to cook (completely understandable and refreshing that it was made from scratch) and should order an appetizer. We quickly decided on an appetizer, but no one returned to our table until the main course arrived a half hour later. We were left to munch on extremely hard bread that was challenging to eat. So much for ordering an appetizer. The meal arrived and did not come close to meeting our expectations. The risotto had an awful aftertaste and the taste resembled a box of Craft Macaroni & Cheese. Although we believe it was authentically prepared, it tasted terrible. We were not asked once how our meal was and our table was never cleared. After finishing our meal and sitting for about ten minutes, we walked to the register to pay. The owner took our money and never asked once how our meal was despite the fact that we overheard him conversing with other customers and even offering them an aperitif following their meal. We were not offered an aperitif, despite the fact that the menu stated it was included in the 3 Euro copertito. Perhaps we just caught this restaurant on a bad night as there are many positive reviews, but I can easily say it was the worst meal we had during our travels through Italy. I would advise looking elsewhere for a special meal in Italy as this restaurant left a bad taste in our mouths, both literally and metaphorically.

Donald R.

Yelp
Riso E Latte is a small restaurant located in the center of Milan. It is uniquely decorated and very casual. It is an excellent choice for lunch. We enjoyed our Risotto and the Piatto del Giorno. Of course, we shared a desert. We found the service very quick and staff very friendly. It is a fun restaurant, especially for lunch.

Tom T.

Yelp
Walked in without reservations and the staff was nice enough to ask us to come back in 45 minutes. There is tons to do in the area so we were happy to oblige. Sat down in a very cool interior that felt like you were eating in someone's home. The concept would work in any region of the world but I felt like I was surrounded by other tourists. For the price, I would have expected better service overall because we received such excellent service in so many restaurants in Italy. The Ossobuco with risotto was tender, good and had a nice gravy/sauce that mixed with the risotto. They gave you a little spoon to scoop the marrow out to spread on your bread. The veal came with a slice of lemon and flakes of salt on top. The dish was simple and it seemed fairly well prepared. Overall, it's a hip restaurant with nice interior decorations. Not the best service, above average pricing that caters to tourists. If you're okay with this then it's a 4-5 star yelp. Otherwise, im looking for an elevated experience based on their pricing but it is located in an expensive area.

Joanne V.

Yelp
We came here for lunch today since they were fully booked for dinner last night. Yes, we're that adamant about trying this restaurant. We ordered ravioli with pesto sauce, risotto ossobuco, and risotto with apples and speck (Italian cured meat). Everything was delicious!!! Seriously, the Italians sure know how to make risotto. This is something very difficult to find in North America. The texture of the rice was creamy and not too thick. The grain was plump and tasted softer than al dente. And of course, you can't go wrong with pasta. We also tried their tiramisu. It was alright. Service was decent and by the way you pay at the front counter. The owner is really nice. Happy Eating!

Vincent S.

Yelp
A place that a nonna would be proud of. It has a great rotating menu. Amazing cocoletta and pesto dishes. It feels family owned and has a great vintage restaurant concept. Not a cheap dining experience though

Tony S.

Yelp
What a cool little spot. The moment you step in you feel like you are in the home of your old nona who is in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Amazing Milanese meatballs to die for and a homemade risotto that sticks to your bones. Great food, for a great price.

Jason L.

Yelp
This place is a gem and seems like people know about it. I was lucky to stumble upon it through a Yelp search and the reviews looked promising and I liked the home style decor and cooking of this place. The pastas were excellent and done al dente. Also ordered veal and was excellent as well. Even the bread to start was tasty with the olive oil. The house wine is cheap, heavy pours and very good. Won't hesitate to come back if I'm ever back in Milan. Also, the service was friendly and like visiting a old friends home. Just look at the very cheeky decor. I love it. The owner has character. He asked where we were from and also provided an aperatif at the end of the meal. Thank you for making an excellent experience! I'm not alone or special I'm the service. I could see them taking time with every table. I would recommend reservation.

Brian K.

Yelp
Comfort food in a comfortable location. Very cool to be transported to your grandma's kitchen as soon as you walk in. The restaurant has an old school retro vibe that really works to put you at ease. On recommendations from everything I've read, we got the Milanese risotto with osso bucco on top. fahgettaboudit.... Super strong flavors in the saffron risotto and wonderful meaty gravy on the osso bucco. My wife and I both really loved it. We also had the cheese plate that came with 3 different jams, all of them really sweet and perfect with the cheese. Last was a pasta with a bolognese style sauce. Great texture on the noodles, not too hard, and the sauce was rediculous. So great food and awesome theme, if you're in Milan, take the trip over and eat there!

Darylynn D.

Yelp
This place is absolutely cute. It takes you back to the 50s in an Italian home. Reservations are required! There is a service charge of 3€ pp for water, bread, and fruit that is in the table. I had the Risoelatte with nuts. It's more creamy than the usual risotto. It was a green dish, but absolutely good. The house red wine is two thumbs up. The bread here was not fresh and quite hard. Service is great and I would love to come here again when in Milan.

Annette L.

Yelp
This place is adorable; very quirky; like you went to your grandmas house for a quick bite with her granny panties hanging out to dry! Service was wonderful esp Karen who took charge bc we just didn't know what to order! The ricotta with veal marrow and veal steak with potatoes were outstanding. Even the owner made us feel welcome . Thank you and we hope to be back again.

Sydney G.

Yelp
When I was recommended by a friend for this place as our top spot in Milan, I wasn't entirely sold post google. Sure the place was cute and kitschy but I wanted some seriously good food but mostly Milanese cutlet. This place was as delicious as the decorations are nostalgic. It's set up in a neat sort of half tiered seating as it goes up half a floor and then up one more half for the full floor. The place is decorated in reminiscent articles of the 50's/60's that bring the realization of what it would have looked like if I had an adorable Italian grandma. We got a cute little table for three and ordered the house wine, cheese plate, meatballs, cacio e Pepe. cotoletta and ossobuco. I want to say any one of these were not that great but I really can't. The cheese plate was served with what seemed like the most delicious house made applesauce, something I never knew I needed with my cheese. The beef meatballs had morsels of pumpkin in a tomato sauce that was so light and perfect. The cotoletta was enormous to say the least. Perfectly crusted with flaky salt and bits of sage, little potatoes, and a yellow sort of aioli that didn't overpower but simply accented everything going on. The cacio was a perfect amount of creamy with just the right amount of black pepper. But the real star was that ossobuco- holy moly how is anything that delicious!? The rich risotto and bone marrow and fall off the bone meat. Please, just get it. You'll be happy you did. TLDR; this was one of the best meals I had during my time in Italy. Go treat yourself and get some too!

August F.

Yelp
Atmosphere was very nice, food was just okay. The staff did an excellent job with recommendations and even gave us a complimentary digestivo at the end of the meal. If you're a big fan of risotto, you will probably love this place, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for comfort food. However, it was probably one of the lower tiered meals we had during our stay in Milan.

Melanie Y.

Yelp
I'm so glad to have found this place on yelp! My boyfriend wanted to try authentic hearty food that only the locals would come to and sure enough, every single dish we ordered, he loved it. To the point where he wanted to order more from the menu after we were so full. It's such a cute place that takes you back to how it was so many years ago in Italy. We got squid as our appetizers. My boyfriend wanted to try their carbonara which was superb and I got the eggplant parmesan. Everything was seasoned to perfection and we ate up every bite. And of course, I couldn't leave the place without trying the dessert so tiramisu it is! By the way, it was recommended to make reservations, but we kinda just winged it and luckily was able to be seated right by the window for two. It was pretty romantic. I can't wait to be back here again!

Joyce L.

Yelp
Cute restaurant, decorated to feel cozy and like you're eating at your Italian grandmothers house. The Milanese steak (breaded and fried) was excellent. Thin, juicy, and crispy, it was a pleasant surprise and not oily at all. The pastas were alright and nothing to write home about. But they weren't bad, the highlight was the meat. And then the tiramisu was also amazing. It was a good way to close out our 2 week trip in Italy. The service was also great.

Chloe K.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant with real homie feeling. The atmosphere is achieved through 70s decoration items. The menu is simple and straight forward with excellent quality groceries, as it should be in classical Italian cuisine. The menu items vary from Italian well known classics to Lombardian ones. The staff is very kind, fast and helpful. They have menus in various languages. It gets crowded. Better to either book a table or be early.

Robin L.

Yelp
3.5/5.0 Pleasant place for dinner but our food experience was average. We may have just ordered the wrong things! Milanese risotto w/ osso bucco (28 euro) -- the texture and flavor of the osso bucco was amazing, but the risotto did not have too much flavor. Maybe this is how the dish is supposed to be, but we didn't think this lived up to the hype. Artichoke salad (12 euro) -- we ordered this in an attempt to get more veggies in our day. The artichoke was coated in a vinegary dressing and just OK. The Parmesan on top was delicious and the Parmesan crisp bowl it was served in was also very tasty. Would not order again; maybe it's just not for our flavor palette. Ambiance was very cute; we walked in on a Thursday in May around 7:30p and was able to get a table for 2 immediately!

Yelp
One star deducted for they limited my dining time to 1 hour. It is fine for me since I have to catch up with a local guided tour soon, but I don't think it is a fair rule for a foreigner look customer. This "policy"did not get mentioned beforehand, so for those if you plan to stay here enjoying a 2 hour meal, please be aware. Otherwise I am very impressed by the decoration and home-like atmosphere. I came here for lunch with a reservation through email. This place is hidden in a small valley near Nord Cadorna FS (about 6-7 minute walk l) and surrounded by commercial buildings. As soon as I got seated, local people poured in for lunch break. Food is amazing. I ordered ragu and the portion as well as sauce and pasta are delicious. Tiramisu is divine as well, but coffee is mediocre. Price for lunch is reasonable. I will definitely come back next time(if they don't limit my dining time to a rushed one hour).

Yelp
I had a really great time with my friends that were visiting me from the United States. it was a really nice time. the food was really good and the staff was really friendly and the decorations the furniture and everything around were really how they said it was, like a grandmother's home in the 50s or 60s. Really great experience worth a visit and a return...I will definitely be returning! There are vegetarian options!

Yelp
My husband and I came here for lunch. The food here was amazing, service was great, prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was so cute! The waitress was very helpful in describing the menu which was in Italian. We had the Ossobucco with risotto and cotoletta alla milanese, both scrumptious.

Yelp
The risotto here is a must have! The only down side is that you must have two people to order their risotto since it takes them awhile to make. This place is such a cute mom and pop restaurant decorated like a cute small house. I definitely felt the home feel in this cute little place and loved the family oriented restaurant. This place was also packed so make a reservation if you can. We ordered the risotto with butter, black pepper, and cheese. It was super creamy, filling, and very flavorful. The dish was slightly salty so if you dont love salty maybe order something else. We also ordered the spaghetti cacio y pepe on the cheese basket and it was phenomenal. The crispy cheese basket made all the difference compared to the other cacio y pepe dishes we ate.

Yelp
The place is just as if you sat down at a table in an Italian grandma's house to eat. From atmosphere to yummy food, you won't be disappointed. We really loved our dinner there!

Yelp
Great find in Milan. Quirky place full of locals at lunchtime. The place is decorated like an italian kitchen from the early 60's,but most importantly the food was fantastic

Yelp
Do you want to feel transported back in time? Then definitely check out this restaurant. The entire place has been decorated to perfection , with attention to every detail, even the bathrooms! But don't think this place has only paid attention to the decor, the food is also unique and quite tasty. Their pastas are handmade and all the ingredientes are fresh. We had a great experience and will definitely recommend when in Milan.

Yelp
GREAT food, decent service. I had the Beeg Tagliatelle and the food was amazing. Also, the vibe int his restaurant is awesome - they make you feel like your eating dinner at your Grandma's house! Check it out!!

Yelp
I obviously have no frame of reference when it comes to how much things are supposed to cost in general as someone who is from NYC. Some people are complaining about the price, and while I thought that this was a bit higher than what I'm used to in Milan, it's not like eating here broke the bank for me at all. Besides, the food was really good. I had cacio e pepe, the first one I've had since I've been in Italy, which is strange to begin with, but it was a good start! It was with spaghetti (as you might guess) al dente to perfection, and in a basket of melted parmesan cheese. Literally like a basket made out of a cheese. Yummy! My wife and our friend both got the Risoelatte, which, because of the beets that they use, comes out pink. Like a bright pink color. They said it was delicious. We were with a couple of kids though, and they didn't particularly like their milanese. Why? Because they were expecting chicken (I'm guessing) and this particular milanese was made out of veil. They ate it, but it wasn't exactly as they were hoping. My pasta was though. So delicious! It's all I wanna eat now! Maybe I can go somewhere today and have some. So we got a bottle of wine, a couple bottles of water, our meals, and I believe a couple of cafes and it was about $120US. That's for 5 people to eat. I don't think that's bad at all. As I mentioned, it was a bit more than I was expecting to pay for a lunch, but it was still fine by me. I would go back here just for the pasta alone.

Yelp
Price: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Ambiance: 5 stars Food: 4.5 stars Reservation can be made online! So for those who don't speak Italian, you're in luck. Super quaint restaurant decorated to make you feel as if you're eating at home. Very cozy and the staff were super warm and welcoming. We ordered the veal Milanese - amazing! Probably one of the best veal Milanese I've had. The veal was thicker than usual but it didn't disappoint, it was super tender and juicy...basically cooked perfectly! The salad on the side was also simple but really good. The restaurant uses local and seasonal ingredients so the food is of high quality. We also ordered the pasta with bottarga and anchovy in butter - if you love the super fishy taste then you'll love this. Unfortunately, we didn't love it. It was way way way too fishy and towards the end the taste was just too much and we couldn't finish it. the pasta was cooked nicely Al dente. When looking at other peoples pastas though they all looked really good and the people next to us finished every bit of it, so maybe we just ordered the wrong pasta. Highly recommended coming here!
