Sibilla

"This long-established family-run restaurant occupies a stunning location at the foot of the Temple of Vesta, which can be admired from the attractive outdoor terrace. The classic cuisine served here is prepared mainly with local ingredients, although a few fish dishes also feature. Grilled dishes are among the house specialities." - Michelin Inspector

4 Best Day Trips from Rome

"This restaurant, poised on top of the acropolis overlooking the Temple of Vesta, has been around since 1720—you can feel its historic character as soon as you walk through the door. The vibe inside is elegant, with parquet floors and white-napped tables, but the outdoor terrace with views of the Aniene River is the place to be. Everyone from Princess Margaret to Yoko Ono has dined here, so the restaurant's reputation precedes it. (Reservations are definitely recommended.)" - Laura Itzkowitz, Arlene Gibbs

Our second visit to Sibilla, the last a couple of years ago. And like then, we were not disappointed. Sibilla is one of those restaurants that make excellence seem effortless - everything clicks together, the beautiful outdoor space, the menu, the super helpful staff, and of course the expertly cooked and presented food. My stuffed zucchini flower was the best I've had this trip - crisp out, fluffy and cheesy in with a salty anchovy sauce. I had oven roasted lamb to follow with roasted potatoes and chicory - crisp lamb, succulent meat, easy to cut off the bone and a great lean:fat ratio. Amazing restaurant, beautiful location.

One of the best meals we had in Italy. We stumbled in here after visiting Villa Gregoriana. Beautiful setting and some tables have a lovely view to the park. The staff was very kind and helpful. We started with the zucchini flowers, delicious! They brought us this tasty olive tapenade with warm bread. We both had pastas that were perfectly prepared. My husband loved the tiramisu for dessert. A must visit if you are in Tivoli.

It’s the perfect place! The food, the location, serving, everything is amazing there! We tried lots of stuff and loved each one! The food came pretty fast and it was very very good! Drinks were cold, pasta was incredible, we got some fresh watermelon and we even got something from the house, freshly baked bread and a mix of olvies and other spices! Amazing!

Me and my family had such a lovely time there tonight, the view was absolutely beautiful! We were sat right next to the temple close enough to touch! The food was the best we had our whole stay in Italy and would go there again in a heartbeat. The staff were so accommodating and lovely they brought us blankets when it got cold out such little details that made a huge difference. A truly wonderful experience! We really had such a great time thank you!!

It's hard to beat this restaurant. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. The food is top notch, delicious and unique from much of what we have had in Italy. All that aside, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Very romanticly set amongst ruins on a hilltop. If you are planning to be in Tivoli, get your reservations in!

This place honestly felt like a dream. The view took our breath away, the food was so good we didn’t want the meal to end, and the staff made us feel really welcome. Out of everywhere we ate on this trip, this was the one we kept talking about. Definitely our favorite spot.

Easily in the top 5 eating experiences in Italy. Sitting outside in the patio area under a 350 year old Wisteria tree and in view of an ancient temple and waterfalls. The food and service was outstanding. A sublime dining experience.

Well deserved 5 stars. The location is amazing. We had lunch next to the Roman temple with an amazing view. The food was excellent and the staff was also very nice. We really recommend the place. Make sure you park at the public parking. Do not follow your gps as the restaurant is in a restricted area.
