Ristorante Taverna del Castello

I don’t think I have anything bad to say about this restaurant. It’s small and very beautiful. The staff is kind and thoughtful. The apperitive and food we had was amazing. Everything home made and the wine advice very very good. The annoli in broth here were perfect. The meat inside the pasta was very tasty and the broth was clear and smooth. The home made bread was so good I took what was left home and ate it the next day for breakfast. The cold cuts were the perfect amount of salt and fat, melted in the mouth. The only thing I did not like were the fried dough that are traditional to Parma. But that might have been more my own preference than anything else. Would recommend a visit for sure!

Truly a special place, the food is totally exceptional and the service is incredible. You will be dazzled with fantastic culinary delights and pampered with delicious wines.

We had lunch with friends on 29 April 2025. Shared starter of assorted cold cuts was outstanding and so were the secondi piati dishes ordered. The service was impeccable and you are eating in a castle . What not to like ? Highly recommended.

This restaurant is the elegant choice for your meal once you have visited the castle of Torrechiara. The food is traditional, salumi and cheese will be king and queen of your meal, accompanied by the irresistible torta fritta. As main dishes they have different kinds of pasta and meat. The price is not cheap but the experience is worth it.

Stopped here for a break during our foodie tour of Parma. The town surrounding the restaurant was amazing to see, but this restaurant was the real star. The food was excellent and well worth the long walk up the hill!

Perfect setting, just right outside the castle. A great place to take your coffee break and enjoy the beautiful surrounding. The floor of their coffee bar is stunning!!
