Ti Amo Review - Eagle-Vail - Vail - The Infatuation

"This Italian restaurant is located in a quiet corner of Eagle-Vail, and is pretty charming once you get past the strip mall entrance. The small bar only has several seats, but it’s exactly where you want to be—if not, there are some cozy banquette-lined nooks throughout the space. The best and most unique dish on the menu is the pollo alle fragole, or strawberry chicken. While it might sound like a Chopped challenge gone wrong, the chicken tastes great with a pop of bright berry flavor, red onions, red pepper flakes, and a brandy cream sauce, all over angel hair pasta. If you need a basic Italian lesson, “ti amo” means “I love you,” so it naturally makes sense to go here for a special date night after a day of hitting the slopes." - Kim Fuller

Haven't been in over 10 years. Caesar fantastic. Chicken scallopine w/ angel hair amazing. Cappuccino torte to finish things off was incredible (made in house) Ken was a terrific host. This place rocks. Unequivocally, the best Italian in vail valley.

Dan our server was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. When I was worried the Gorgonzola gnocchi dish might be too rich for me he allowed me to choose another sauce (sun dried tomato pesto cream) and it was incredible!! I order gnocchi at every restaurant across the country I get a chance and this ranks in the very top of my list!!

We love this place. An old school Italian place that serves locally and responsibly sourced produce and meats. Every dish we have ever had here has been so well executed where every aspect is on. The only issue we had was the last time we visited we felt rushed through our meals where courses were right on top of each other. We made a reservation for an earlier slot as we had an early start the next morning, but that doesn't mean we wanted to take our time and enjoy our meal. I didn't take any stars away from this as it might have been a one time thing, but besides this little issue, we feel this is one of the best hidden gems of the vail valley.

Google
Outstanding food. The chicken and strawberry pasta is one of the best Italian dishes I have ever had. The minestrone soup was excellent as well. Will definitely visit every time we are in the Vail area.

Google
Absolutely delightful. The food was delicious, efficient when we were hungry and nicely paced when we were enjoying. The service was friendly and helpful, and the venue cosy, comfortable and inviting. Would 100% recommend and return.

Google
Long time local classic Italian restaurant. Fantastic food, service and ambiance.

Google
Fast friendly service. Food was delicious. Even though sauces may look alike they had different and distinct flavors. The spicy sausage was great. The shrimp in the sauce wasn't over cooked. Everything was right. Would definitely go back if I visit Vail again.

Google
Great service. Extensive menu of traditional Italian dishes. But also great chef specials. Wine list is extensive. Dan was a great waiter.

Yelp
It's very good food, in a more "strip mall" location. This is one of two Italian restaurants in the area that I would recommend.

Yelp
Very friendly service and great food. They were mindful of my gluten and seafood intolerances, but unfortunately, I think the kitchen caused a small bit of cross contamination preparing my mushroom risotto because I had a very mild reaction. Nonetheless, we had a great dinner and would still highly recommend.

Yelp
Legit Italian jn Eagle. Came for dinner on a Friday night with a group of 5. Old school Italian feel, with an old school Italian menu. Service was prompt and friendly. Started with three calamari which was tasty and not too greasy. The spicy marinara was delicious. My partner and I split the Wall Eye special which was perfectly cooked and served over delicious angel hair. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere. Fun for a group!

Yelp
Bellisimo!! Such incredible food, friendly service in a restaurant with old world charm!! Our server was charming and very friendly! The bread was delectable served with olive oil and ground black pepper. They had a "local special" with complimentary salad or soup. I chose Caesar salad, my husband had the minestrone. Entrees were superb! My husband had pork medallions with garlic mashed potatoes and I savored the Apollo Scarperriello; chicken, a savory spicy sausage, tomatoes and fettucine... Yumm! They served Vallipolicello wine by the glass (my favorite Tuscan wine!) and make their own limoncello... Italian heaven!!

Yelp
Really great food here in a very charming spot! Our waitress was nice, and everything was tasty. We are suckers for seafood, so we had the Frutti di Mare and the Linguine Alle Vongole, and would recommend both. Overall, a solid Italian restaurant out in Eagle -- anyone looking for some great Italian food should check this place out.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Went to this restaurant randomly and was so pleased with my meal. The service was great as well. Overall 5/5

Yelp
Make sure you make a reservation before coming to this Tuscan style Italian eatery. Also, they have two locations. This one is located on the corner of an otherwise non descriptive strip mall. Walk inside and you will be transported to an Italian eatery. Portions are not huge but they are not small either and everything is delicious and made fresh. It is pricey but well worth it! We had two entrees: the Pasta Gamberetti e Pesto di Pomodoro which had shrimp sautéed with garlic olive oil, parsley, red pepper flakes, mushrooms and red onions in a sundried tomato pesto cream sauce and penne pasta; and the Involtino di Pollo, which was a chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and garlic, wrapped with prosciutto and topped with a chianti wine sauce, served with sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert, we tried the Cappuccino Torte which is a Cappuccino Mousse, Espresso Fudge over a Graham Cracker Walnut Crust. Service was prompt and attentive. Very recommended.

Yelp
Delish! Loved it! Get a reservation. It's a busy place. Authentic Italian cuisine! Nice ambiance.

Yelp
This restaurant had easily one of our favorite bites from our trip to vail. It's been two months and I'm still thinking about the Veal Marsala di Vitello. It was so perfectly creamy without being repugnant. Usually with any white pasta sauce I can really do a couple bites before I'm over it, but nope. I could've easily finished the whole plate. It was so so so good. Honestly, everything was. We had a big party of around 12 people and everyone loved their food. The restaurant itself is small and cozy. The service was great and really accommodating to our the picky little kids desires. Highly recommend if in town!

Yelp
Appetizer of Mushroom polenta was excellent. Minestrone was good but salty. Bread fresh and the olive oil was a high quality tasty one. House salad was underwhelming but not bad. Fettuccine Alla Bolognese was good--solid not great. Pork medallions with mashed potatoes according to our guests was very tasty. The Nutella Crepe was exceptional. All is all a solid meal.

Yelp
Wonderful little find. Located in a very unassuming strip mall with all the flavors of Italy. Our starters were the grilled artichoke and polenta with mushrooms, caramelized onions and prosciutto. It came highly recommended but a bit salty (most likely from the prosciutto). Our mains were perfection. I'm happy I got the sauce on the side because the food itself was bursting with flavor.

Yelp
The chicken piccata style dish is incredible! So is the pasta dish with the crab & veal. You can't go wrong with either. Everyone at our table of 10 enjoyed their meal. The calamari appetizer is also worth ordering, and comes on a bed of crispy spinach. Good service, delicious food.

Yelp
Amazing go try the food will not regret! Pasta made with especial ingredients very professional a very Italian place to eat

Yelp
5/5 for farfale con pollo - best pasta of all time ! Staff easy to communicate with - cannoli also great
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Italian. Big portions. Nice wine list. Everyone will find something they like. It's also such an unassuming place ina strip mall, but definitely worth the drive! Apps: - Funghi y polenta: amazing flavor, you have to like salt and mushrooms - Artichokes: really great -- nothing out of this world, but they did a classic dish well - Caesar: skip unless you have to have a veggie Entrees: - the sundried tomato pasta with Shrimp: amazing , I LOVED it - gnocchi: very very rich bc of the Gorgonzola, but perfect gnocchi -- worth it especially if you share - Veal Marsala pasta: the winner of the evening -- so delicious - Pollo Scarpariello: I didn't try it, but my dad loved it and our waitress recommended it. Dessert: - tiramisu: okay, but the lady fingers were not soaked for long enough so the coffee flavor wasn't there. All together an amazing evening!

Yelp
We came here for dinner after a long day of skiing at Beaver Creek. We had made a reservation a couple of weekends in advance, which I highly recommend, especially during ski season. The restaurant is located in a strip mall in the Eagle-Vail area and looks quite unassuming from the outside. Once inside though, the quaint decoration and atmosphere makes it cozy and inviting. We were seated at our table that looks like has dividers up as a COVID safety precaution. We were greeted shortly with fresh bread and water. My date and I each ordered a glass of wine which we both enjoyed. For food, I went with the gnocchi with the Gorgonzola sauce (you can sub the sauce with a red sauce if you're not into Gorgonzola) and my boyfriend ordered the fettuccine bolognese. It was a busy night at the restaurant so there was a wait for our food, but our waitress came by to check on us and bring us more bread while we waited. Our meals came out looking hot and fresh. While my boyfriend said his bolognese was good (portion was a bit small for him, especially after working up an appetite in the ski hill), he wishes he had ordered the gnocchi dish that I had. The gnocchi was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi were a good size and a great texture. The Gorgonzola sauce was so flavorful and the walnuts in it added a great texture to the dish. I would absolutely come back and order the dish again. We had room in our tummies for dessert, so we ordered the mini cannoli and tiramisu. The filling in the cannoli was so smooth and yummy and the tiramisu was so fluffy and moist. Also quick shoutout to our waitress who covered our tiramisu as we were celebrating our anniversary:) It was a perfect end to a delicious meal! Highly recommend this spot if you're in Vail/Avon!!

Yelp
it is a rare occasion when i order chicken at a restaurant. however the chicken involtino at TI AMO is fabulous! it is just about the best meal I've had while visiting Vail this year. and.... the good news is that we are returning on Saturday night. take a look at the photo---- it is even better than it looks and I am going to have it again on Saturday . thanks TiAmo!

Terri J.

Yelp
Waitress was bossy. My class were like rubber. We will never go back. Now the eagle-vail location is still delicious
google avatar

Linda J.

Yelp
The food was decent but very overpriced. The atmosphere was solid and the waitstaff good. Spaghetti with vegetables and sauce was $36. I could have made the same thing at home minus the atmosphere for way less. Seating (booths) could have been better especially for the prices they charge. GF options available but be sure to inform the staff and make sure they inform the chef.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to by somebody who visits the vail area often. It looked busy for a Friday night. The fresh bread for the table was delicious. We ordered several different appetizers to share including the mushrooms and polenta, bruschetta, etc. I had the farfalle con pollo which was huge and slightly salty but still tasty. The creme brûlée was the highlight of the meal. For a homey rustic local meal it's worth going back next time I'm in vail.

Yelp
We come to Ti Amo as a special treat when we come up to the Vail area. Had dinner there the other night and were smitten all over again. The food is drool-worthy. Calamari is some of the best we've had. And we cleaned our plates with every entree. Only regret is that we didn't save room for dessert. Love this restaurant!

Michael P.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick lunch. Service started out great but ended with a "Huff" We ordered the already made special of the day Lasagna, which came out in only 25 min. Completely over done, noodles were like leather.

Yelp
Probably one of the best Italian meals we've ever eaten and 5 stars does not give this restaurant justice. Highly suggest making reservations and not just show up. We got to the restaurant 15 minutes prior to our reservation and had to wait since our table was still being used. FYI the restaurant doesn't have that big of a waiting room , so be prepared to stand outside while waiting for your table to be ready. Our waitress was very nice and gave us recommendations on what was her favorites and lead us down the correct path. We started with Bruschetta and calamari fritti. The bruschetta was good, but since they give you bread and oil at the table I would suggest trying a different appetizer. That's not saying it's not good, but be crazy and try something else. The calamari was fried perfectly and not greasy at all. No clue how they cooked the spinach , but it had a nice crunch to it. I know some people think Veal is a controversial dish, but if you're good with Veal I highly recommend one of the 3 our party got. Guest #1 Marsala do Vitello. She was going to save half of her food and take it home with her, but she said it was to good not to eat in one sitting. The sauce like all their sauces were homemade and you can tell they perfected the recipes of them. This will be a common running theme in all their meals is the sauce. I ordered the Scaloppine all Aranci. The oranges and the celery were so good with the veal. I'm not a fan off warm fruit, but the orange slices were so good. I would have licked my plate clean if I was at home. The sauce was that good. Guest 3: Oscar do Vitello. They do not skimp on the blue crab and once again the sauce OMG!!! Guest 4: pollo scarpariello. The Italian sausage added a nice little kick to this dish. The chicken was cooked perfectly and yet again the sauce was delicious. Dessert we settled on splitting the Tiramisu, creme brûlée, and the profiteroles. All were big serving sizes and put the cherry on top of an amazing meal. We're already talking about just driving up for the day from Denver for another amazing meal here. To the owner of Ristorante Ti Amo please sell the sauces or provide me the recipes lol.

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Kids love their butter noddles and we enjoy the wine and all the food we order. We will for sure be back
google avatar

Yelp
Located in a unlikely location in a strip mall in Eagle-Vail this old style Italian restaurant really delivers on flavor and a large number of menu choices. Popular with locals, and only five minutes west of Vail, this is a worthy stop when visiting the Vail/Avon/Beaver Creek area. The menu focus is on proteins such as chicken, veal, and seafood served with pasta. Think scallopini, cacciatore, and frutti de mare, but lots more choices. Our pasta dishes were tasty and cooked perfectly. We shared bruschetta pomodoro to start, a real highlight. Great crème brûlée for dessert. Use google maps to locate as the strip malls all look the same along highway 6&24.

Yelp
Excellent food and service in a chill atmosphere. Been coming here for years when I am in town and have always enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant. The food was excellent. Service was great. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Definitely make a reservation because it gets booked up. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is one of our consistent go to restaurants when up in Vail. In between Beaver Creek and Vail but easy to get to right off of I70. For starters/appetizers, I would recommend the Insalata alla Griglia (grilled romaine salad), Carciofo alla Griglia (grilled artichokes) or Calamari Fritti. Also, their bread that they bring to the table is phenomenal. For entrees, the Marsala di Vitello (veal Marsala) is my all time favorite and something I never want to deviate from! Perfectly cooked thin veal in a delectable Marsala cream sauce. Other family favorites are the grilled salmon, Vitello e Mare (veal scaloppine sauteed with shrimp, shallots, spinach in a brandy champagne cream sauce or the Frutti di Mare (mussels, shrimp and scallops sauteed with garlic and white wine in a spicy marinara over linguine). Parking is in a shared parking lot with other businesses and is normally full. Also, limited seating in the restaurant (and ALWAYS busy) so definitely make a reservation. Definitely not a cheap meal, but well worth it if looking for high quality Italian food with impeccable servic.

Yelp
If you find yourself in the Vail/Beaver Creek/Avon area and craving some authentic Italian food, look no further than Ti Amo! My husband and I took the suggestion from some locals and headed here for dinner on a recent Thursday evening. We were told ahead of time that we shouldn't judge it by it's cover, aka the strip mall it sits in, so our expectations were in check... Our table was ready when we arrived and Jennifer was our server - she was fabulous! We started with a Caesar Salad (me) and a Minestrone Soup (him), followed by Frutti Di Mare (me) and Chicken Scallopine (him). We also enjoyed some of their warm bread with olive oil and some red wine... Portions are large and we did well, but that meant that we were too stuffed for dessert. We found prices to be reasonable. We also used the paper and crayons on the table to entertain ourselves with some drawing and hangman... such a fun little touch! Will this place blow your socks off? No. But is it a super pleasant local gem of a restaurant that is a bit off the beaten path with solid food and a warm welcoming atmosphere? Absolutely. Enjoy!

Joe R.

Yelp
Great food & great service. Really enjoyed this restaurant. I go back every time I'm in Colorado

E.K. B.

Yelp
Food was not up to par. Consider a different chef as this food is below the level of the charge. Rock hard veal served with side of spaghetti. $36? If you have eaten in Tuscany - this is not authentic Italian cuisine.
google avatar

Shah M.

Yelp
I can't imagine going to Vail and not stopping by for a dinner here. Always get amazing food and with such cute and homey vibes. Perfect place to get some great pasta after a long day in the snow. The two tasty options we most recently had were the Farfalle con Pollo and Pasta Gamberetti e Pesto di Pomodoro. I would absolutely get both dishes again as it would be tough to choose between the two, though the bow tie pasta itself was a little more fun and unique to eat. The very hearty portions were perfect to share between 3 people as well. The Cappuccino Torte was a nice and rich way to end the meal as well (though a scoop of gelato or ice cream on the side would push it over the top).
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Ti Amo is a quaint little place in a strip mall and on a Tuesday night - every table was full. So this was definitely the place to eat it - and reservations would be a must. We started with a Caesar salad and a Mista salad. Both good. I then had the Piccata di Vitello (Veal with Lemon) and my husband had the Vitello e Mare (Veal w/ Shrimp and Shallots). I enjoyed my dish (though could use more caper taste) but my husband wasn't thrilled by the champagne cream sauce on his as he felt it was bland. All of the tables are separated by plexi glass so I felt they were taking the necessary precautions. And each of the staff was working hard to take care of all the tables.

Gitu R.

Yelp
This place was recommend by so many locals. It was our last night in Vail and we wanted a good Italian meal. It was ultimately quite disappointing. The worst meal on our trip. The bread basket, sautéed spinach and the desert (crepe) was the only memorable thing about it. The minestrone soup was luke warm at best and tasted like a Campbell's canned soup. The Linguini ala Vongole had 5 real clams and the rest of the sauce was clearly canned. For $30 dollars, one would hope to get actual clams. The bolognese, unmemorable and a small portion. The puttanesca was the best of the pasta dishes ordered but the Parmesan was offered in minuscule portions despite several requests. Over all... I would say, skip this place. Particularly because the prices are not a bargain. Pay the same for a better meal in BC or Vail Village.

Yelp
Easily the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Anything on the menu is absolutely incredible. Any time I'm ever skiing in beaver creek this is where I go after. Also, any time I bring friends here they love it.
google avatar

Tara C.

Yelp
I honestly would have given this restaurant five stars for the food, but we were seated right by the kitchen which unfortunately has double swinging doors. It was such a loud, annoying place to sit and try to enjoy a meal. Other than that, the food was fresh and flavorful. The fresh warm herb bread served immediately after being seated was delicious. The flavor was just right, a nice hint of herbs but enough to satisfy the taste buds. We had the Carciofo alla Griglia (grilled artichoke) and Insalata alla Griglia (grilled romaine salad). Both were so good and I recommend trying them! The romaine had a nice charred flavor and the slightly spicy salad dressing enhanced the flavor perfectly. For the main course, we tried the Farfalle con Pollo which had almost a comfort food quality and the Pollo Scarpariello which was delicious but just a warning, the sausage is a little spicy.

Yelp
One of the BEST food we had while we visited Colorado this weekend. This place does not look good from outside and got me worried . But OMG amazing food! We had Calamari Fritti and Funghi e Polenta as appetizers . Both very different but wonderful! Make sure to try the mushroom appetizer you won't regret!! On the weekends they have Osso Buco as their special !!!! If you happen to go in definitely order this ! The best Osso Buco I've had in my LIFE ! No joke ! Check out the bone marrow video ! Veal Parmesan is also another dish you can't not love ! We are going back again in February and TiAmo is definitely on our list to go back to !

Yelp
Great restaurant. Delicious meals, good portions, good service. Was shocked how busy they get. You actually want to make a reservation even if it's a mid week evening. Definitely recommend for good Italian food while you're in Vail / Avon. A total "locals" place.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a good neighborhood Italian restaurant! We had lunch (our third visit total in the last couple of years). AJ is terrific as a server. The pastas are wonderfully creative and tasty.

Yelp
Great food.Everything we ordered came out amazing. I will definitely be back! My suggestion is the Veal Marsala and the Ravioli with mushroom sauce

Yelp
A big shout out to Ti Amo during the COVID-19 quarantine here in Vail. They were not only able to deliver large portions of incredible Italian food, but they delivered it to our door for a fee of $10. When they came to the front door, they were also donning a mask. I cannot say enough about the quality of food. It was the highlight of our week to know they were still open and the food was incredible!!!
google avatar

Henry H.

Yelp
Excellent Veal Marsala! With a friendly local atmosphere! Great Italian food with an excellent wine list! Definitely a must when visiting Beaver Creek or Vail! It's worth the drive.
google avatar

Mia W.

Yelp
We've been here once before and didn't exactly love the food we tried especially for the expense, but we tried it once again during this COVID-19 deal and thank the heavens we did! We ordered the veal parmesan as others recommended, and BOY was it amazing!!! It is not on the menu, but they always make it a goal to satisfy their customers, "we can do that for you". We've been at least 4 times close afterwards and they're always accommodating and make it special for us every time, you can taste the love! The manager who seems like the owner expressed his gratitude for supporting their business and was extremely sweet. Still pricey, but well worth it! Support Ti Amo anytime and thereafter! Love you guys, thank you for being there for us!

Hayden C.

Yelp
The food was all very good quality. Bolognese used local meat as well as fresh homemade pasta. They have some very unique menu items (chicken with strawberries) as well as the vodka sauce with oranges which all were delicious. Recommend visiting if staying in Vail or Beaver Creek! Owner also was walking around and exceptionally friendly. Service overall was great too
google avatar

Carol B.

Yelp
Always amazing food service is always great and staff is always amazing. Wine selection is top notch
google avatar

Yelp
The gnocchi was really good but extremely heavy. I'd probably share the gnocchi And get something else to balance the heaviness. Great atmosphere will be back again.
google avatar

Ted L.

Yelp
I rate it a " maybe" as they are very expensive. No more local specials for dinner. We may go for lunch but our dinner bill was outrageous. Oh well, gotta be rich to eat in the Vail Valley.

Abdul E.

Yelp
Went there for dinner. This place needs reservation. On the exterior looks like an average restaurant but once you walk in you feel the Italian charm and cozy feeling. Food is authentic Italian just by looking at the menu entree descriptions and type of sauces prepared. The server was very nice and informative. Minestrone Soup well done with tomato sauce and veggies is basic and simple but very hearty. Petti Di Pollo Alle Fragole is chicken with bow tie pasta has a very tangy creamy tomato sauce and gores well with the veggies in it. The veal with butter lemon sauce was excellent The shrimp penne with pesto sauce is amazing with the sauce little spicy but give the plate a complex flavors mix. Risotto fongi is with creamy mushroom sauce and full of mash room and chicken pieces. Overall a very enjoyable experience with delightful authentic Italian food and cozy setting.

Yelp
Tu mi ami? No no, ti AMO! My family and I have been coming here for over a decade, and somehow, it keeps getting better and better. For a tasty app, I HIGHLY recommend the grilled artichokes. The roasted garlic remoulade will knock you off i tuoi piedi. If you're feeling frisky, the Petti di Pollo alle Fragole is veddyy sexiii. Real talk - this place is bomb. If you haven't been here, you are really missing out on a truly authentic and delicious experience.
