I am so grateful to our wine tasting host at Sasso di Sole winery, for recommending this restaurant for our lunch outing one day while we were staying in the area. Goes to show you if you know where to go, or know someone who knows, you can really hit a home run. Everything about Trattoria Toscana al Vecchio Forno was authentic, elegant, cultural and delicious! Loved it all so much! We went after any potential "lunch rush", at about 2:30pm and it was quiet with a small number of tables of guests. It was mid week (actually, it was exactly June 11, 2025). The food was Italian with a touch of elegant fusion. So good! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience!!

The rustic charm of the restaurant, nestled within the historic village streets, provided the perfect start to our day. What made the experience truly special was our incredible server. He welcomed us warmly and guided us through the breakfast menu with genuine care and enthusiasm. Every recommendation he made—was thoughtful and on point. When we asked about local wineries, he went above and beyond, offering excellent suggestions tailored to our tastes, which helped us plan a wonderful wine-tasting afternoon. This blend of heartfelt hospitality, local expertise, and delicious food made for one of the best experiences of our trip. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!

Excellent restaurant with typical Tuscan fare. The seating area is very nice if a bit crowded. Staff were efficient and typically Italian, meaning friendly but don't speak much English. Food was excellent. Good selection of wine, a few desserts. Price for everything was higher than average.

Absolutely delicious food, a warm and welcoming team, and such a lovely atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to come back! 🤩👌

The pasta my wife ordered was good. The "700 gram" ribeye i ordered was an absolute disappointment. It was nowhere near 700 grams. Maybe it was 400 grams before they cooked it. Also it was mediocre in taste. Not worth the money and I honestly feel like I was scammed.

Had breakfast there everyday for 2 weeks as a guest of the hotel and a couple of dinners. The team are absolutely fantastic, friendly, efficient and clearly get along with each other and its reflected in their approach to guests. A pleasure to dine there. Dinners were great - recommend the Cingale.

We got the best table in the restaurant and the waiters were really nice! This was a service worth of their past Michelin stars. The food was really good, a warm meal!

Our dinner was exceptional. The food, service and overall atmosphere was perfect for a casual dinner. While the gnocchi and the ravioli with truffles were delicious, the star of the evening was the tiramisu (a must try even if you forgot to save room for dessert)!
