Ristorante Trippi

We visited on a rainy day, just before the restaurant was about to close. The staff were very kind and attentive to us, which made our experience enjoyable. We ordered the dish of the day along with some wine from the region and central Italy. The service was exceptional, enhancing the already delicious food. Additionally, the restaurant offers lovely views and has a nicely decorated ambiance. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

All gastronomic ways lead to Trippi if you are looking for top notch Valtellina kitchen. Modern but without chichi, the kitchen team delivers excellent food with great care, knowledge and traditions in mind. The wine selection is more than on point with a focus on local producers. The floor team is really lovely and it‘s always a pleasure to dine or lunch there when visiting the valley.

Warm welcome. Great menu (refined versions of mountain food). Good location but my preference after eating here a few times is always to eat inside because the terrace can be a bit noisy. But a wonderful experience each time.

4 stars because is expensive, but in general really good food, very tasty and fresh with changing menus over the season. the Bresaola table goes great with the cheese table. Dishes aren't cheap but they aren't outrageous. Money well spent. It costed 100e for 2 starters, 2 mains of pasta/risotto, 2 desserts, 1lt water and 2 glasses of house wine. A sophisticated and refined culinary experience just outside of Sondrio. Great selection of Valtellina wine to drink with your meal or purchase to go. Had Inferno from two different producers, and both paired beautifully.

Ristorante Trippi is not just a historical destination, its ambience (both outside on the terrace and inside in a cozy alpine environment) provides the setting for a truly marvelous dining experience. The cuisine is “mountain modern”, combining traditional dishes with a contemporary flair, both in presentation and seasonal farm to table flavor combinations. Definitely worth a visit (or two!).
