i really wanted to like this place. i'm not an ice cream person, but i absolutely love sherbet/sorbet/snow cones/icees/italian ice. i was really excited to see something like this pop up in town.
i just passed by for a cherry italian ice. it's probably the second most popular flavor for this kind of food behind lemon, so i figured it would probably be a pretty safe choice.
the consistency is more snow cone than sorbet, which i expected. i'm not sure if i just got unlucky or if the preparation/recipe was off, but i got these huge globs of what felt like unincorporated gelatin in every bite. it was kind of mucus-y and even though the flavor was ok, i don't think i'll be back.
it looks like the gelatis are more popular, and i think it would be easier to hide that gelatin texture behind creamy ice cream, so if you do visit, that's probably your best bet.
