We just stopped in to grab some italian ice as this is my families favorite spot when we visit!! Erya was seriously the best!! She gave us recommendations and made us a gelati with strawberry lemonade and it was amazing!!! She was also the sweetest human ever! So fun to talk to her and she was just so amazing! 𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐀’𝐒 in Miami Beach is home to a variety of Italian Ice and Frozen Custards. This sweet treat was founded by Philadelphia firefighter Bob Tumolo back in 1984, who named the place after his beloved wife Rita. ⁣ ⁣ To beat the heat, I decided on the 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘦’𝘴 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝟻, a vanilla custard blended with Reese’s Take 5 bites, pretzel bits, and stuffed with hot caramel. Everything had a silky smooth consistency with the perfect amount of crunch. It wasn’t too expensive so that was a great thing for my wallet.⁣ ⁣ They have pet friendly locations all over South Florida, but after a hot beach day the Collins Avenue location was our nearest stop. Our pups enjoyed a fresh scoop served up by our wonderful friendly face 𝘍𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘹. He brought such a charismatic approach to our experience and was living for the dogs. Made us happy to have such a great interaction.⁣

10/10! from the minute, we walked in, we were greeted by Felix and Aisa! It was my friend's first time visiting, and we were a little overwhelmed with the options. Felix quickly jumped in to give us a basic tour of the whole menu! He's clearly passionate about what he does. Everything was outstanding. Every single thing that I tried, I was blown away. It has quickly become my favorite ice cream location in Miami Beach. It was so good. I forgot to take a picture. I will be back!

I was desperate. My migraine medicine was not working, I was miserable, leaving Miami Beach on vacay and picking up a lunch order from Don Pan, which is in this same plaza. I wandered out and walked down the plaza to find a cold drink, but there was Rita's instead just 2 doors down. Perfect! I have never actually been to a Rita's, but I do love Italian ices. I stumbled in, selected the first orange thing I saw- mango, and order a small. The small was really big, so I asked for an extra cup and spoons because I knew I had to share some with my kids, and the 'small' seemed really large. I was not making the best decisions, and just needed to get the cold stuff in my mouth at all costs. Yes, freezing cold can help stop migraines. Usually I use a cold pack when at home, and I had already used some mentholly icy gel stuff on my head and neck, so this was the next best thing. Preview to end of this story: Rita's + migraines = a happy partnership! I got into my car, scooped out half for my kids, and... this italian ice was so wonderful, beyond what I was ever expecting. I am writing this review wishing I had some right now! Anyways, back to my car, my children were suddenly silent eating their portion of the ice, and my husband was looking at our portions longingly, and by the time I finished, I realized... I needed more. My husband finally asked for his own cup, also, mango, so now I returned back to the same very nice server for the exact same thing times 2, except I finally actually looked at the menu and realized the next size up is only $1 more. $1 more! That is crazy. How could I ever just order the smalll again? This time I still divided mine with my kids, but we all got more in the end. After I ate the second half of a larger size, my migraine was gone. Thank you to the compassionate, kind employee who didn't judge me or treat me differently despite my ridiculous 'I'm having a migraine' personality. Heaven. The mango ice is heaven. And thank you, Rita's, for offering a delicious migraine fixing solution!

I have been hearing about Rita's for more than 15 years, but never actually went into any to try it. Since I love, Italian, ice and soft, serve together, I decided to stop in here while on a stroll. My go to is layers of soft, serve with blue raspberry and cotton candy, flavored Italian ices, but here they offered custard not soft, serve, which I only noticed because I read it on a sign as the two look almost identical. But the flavors are quite different, and to be honest, I would have preferred soft, serve personally. Although the Italian ices, we're good, the custard was a bit sick and didn't give the same texture as I would have helped. But the staff was very sweet and the overall experience was nice. I think next time I would just get Italian ices.

I want to start this review with this: Felix was so wonderful! Upon entering the shop, my boyfriend and I were greeted with a smile and asked if we had ever been to Rita's. Since it has been a long time and I wasn't sure what all they had, Felix explained the options and offered us some test samples. He was so generous and kind and it was refreshing and exciting to be helped by someone who you can tell enjoys and takes pride in what he does. Felix made our whole experience so enjoyable and truly brightened our day. I got the cookies n cream concrete (pictured) and my boyfriend got scoops of chocolate fudge, cookies n cream, and Reese's peanut butter ice cream in a cup. Everything was yummy! We decided to eat outside because the weather was sunny with a little breeze - perfect, but inside also has table seating. Either spot would be a good option, depending on what you want! Everything is kept very clean and nice. Thank you for serving us!

I like this place because it is not your typical ice cream shop. They have custard, gelato and Italian ice treats (or you can mix them together) which is what I did! I had a vanilla custard blended with raspberry and blueberry Italian ice. It tastes like a better version of a slushee. Although, when it was time to eat it looked pretty unappetizing lol even though it tasted good. Some of the Italian ice favors taste really artificial (like the neon green pistachio), I prefer the custard - or a mix of the two. But, I definitely will be back and have a Concrete next time!

Once I first saw it, it seemed like I was at a fair waiting in line for my delicious Custard. I'm happy to say that this was not my first time there, so I came in already knowing what I'm going to order. The Blendini is the best of both worlds, you got the custard and the Italian ice blended together so it can all mix. It's a perfect spot after a hot day at the beach and you're trying to eat something cold to cool down. Overall I'm always satisfied when leaving Rita's because the service is welcoming, there are multiple dessert options and it's simply a nice treat for yourself. I definitely recommend!

Do yourself a favor and go now get a banana custard. This is a soft swirl rich banana ice cream that tastes like heaven. Better if topped with the hot fudge and peanuts.

I usually love Rita's and get my moneys worth! It's not the cheapest ice cream but because it tastes good I didn't mind! What I received today was a whole different story! I paid 20 dollars for this! This is an extreme rip off! I usually ordered pints of vanilla ice cream for 10! They changed something in their system so I ordered large since I assumed it's just a bigger cup or something! When I realized what they did I got so mad that I decided to write the review! IN THE STORE THEY SELL THIS FOR 10$! HOW DARE YOU RIPP PEOPLE OFF LIKE THIS! I'm done with Rita's

If you want to try the best daily made with real fruit custard you have to try this amazing Italian ice cream at Rita's. This shop is definitely the place you must go. They have lots of custard flavors and my favorite is the passion fruit. The ice cream is creamy, sweet and very tasty, delicious and very refreshing. Ice cream top and bottom makes it even more delicious. Prices are right and customer service was very hospitable. I was so glad to see this Ice cream Shop in the Miami and Surfside area. Will definitely come back!

I must admit, that custard does not have the same creamy taste and flavor as ice cream, but it does make a good base for al light fruit treat. It is deceiving , because it looks like a cross between ice cream and gelato but it is definitely not too sweet. The person helping us this day was offering samples, which is really really nice to have back l, because during Covid a lot of people were not offering samples. The attendant, probably sensing that we were walking around quite a bit, offered everyone who came in a cup of water. This is really good salesmanship and a great way to treat customers. While I still prefer a tasty creamy ice cream, I would go back here another day for another combination, and maybe try it with some toppings mixed in.

amazing taste and service i loved this place so much. i got the italian ice and custard combo with coconut and mango ice and vanilla custard. Would definitely recommend and i'll sure be back. One of the workers i believe his name was Roberto , was super sweet and i really appreciate him.

Omg!!!!! OUTSTANDING soft serve fresh frozen custard!!! It's unbelievable...creamy..it's not vanilla soft serve..it's a lighter consistency and the flavor is a soft vanilla. The older gentleman behind the counter saw I was doubtful about even trying it- he gave me a sample and.. I was completely engrossed in the ambiance of taste bud heaven! Even if you don't do the Italian ice..or flavored custards..please try the soft serve.

I've been there before and had a milkshake and other things. Today I wanted something different and asked for a "Black & White" and they didn't have the main ingredient for it which they said was cherries -- which seems odd. So I got a chocolate covered strawberry and it was good but it was quite thin. Like a straw wouldn't stand up in it, like a typical milkshake. Aside from that it was good and the clerk was friendly and kind. Beware it's in a small strip mall and they only have 2 dedicated parking spaces. I parked in another business's space because it was after hours. They must have a lot of foot traffic.

I went here with my father and grandparents and the costumer service is AMAZING!!! The guy there was so joyful and sweet. The women there was also very sweet!!! I wish I could go there everyday for the rest of my life! And the Italian is AMAZINGGGGGGGGG. (I got mango and Lemon 100,000,000/10) The ice cream there is so creamy and smooth! Not to sweet and not too bland!

My son got a coupon for a free Italian ice at his school. We finally came to cash it in and I understand why Rita's gave it out. with the incredible customer service and experience that Felix gave we will be coming back more often. Its hard to find people like that in Miami Beach. I don't ever leave a review but I definitely had to praise how amazing Felix is.

So this place has become my pregnancy craving. We live 20 min away and I make my husband take me because nothing compares to the smooth and creamy custard! The staff is always very friendly as well. There is always parking which is great for somewhere on the beach.

Yessss...the Rita's in my very own neighborhood is finally open!!! Located in a strip mall on Collins Ave with a decent amount of free parking. There's also a Lil Caesars in the same strip mall if you're in the mood for a cheap, tasty, post-beach dinner & dessert. Rita's offers a wide variety of frozen treats using their Italian ices and custards, such as gelatis, shakes, concretes, blendinis, custard sandwiches, and sundaes. Rita's is a deliciously welcome addition to North Beach, especially since there aren't that many frozen treat spots here.

i was on vacation in Miami at the beginning of march and still weeks later I'm thinking about my experience at Ritas Felix !! was the highlight of the whole visit at Rita's he was so sweet and brought me and my boyfriend so much joy he immediately offered us samples and let us try whatever we wanted of course everything we tried was delicious I recommend the mango and coconut flavor! and above the delicious treat i would stop in just for Felix ! :)

Best place to have an Ice Cream in Miami Beach Felix makes the ice cream experience even better, the ambience is friendly and familiar. Since the very first moment Felix welcomes you with a warmth smile and makes you feel like you are part of the family. This place is amazing! I haven't had Rita's since I moved down to Florida a couple years ago until I found this one and I gotta say I love it and the guy at the night shift is the best! Super nice and friendly!! Definitely come get some Rita's this hot summer and enjoy it because this place is definitely the place to go!!

My second time here, Eyra took care of me she was very nice and welcoming, she help us decide which flavor to choose, I'm very happy with Eyra, she was very friendly and we will go back to see her.

I'm so glad to finally find a place that sells the PERFECT vanilla custard. As weird as this may sound, it has the perfect temperature, consistency and taste that you can't really find at other places. Every time I've been here, I've been treated very nicely and quickly by Felix and have left as a happy customer each time! I'll definitely be a regular!

This is the second time I ordered from Door Dash. The first time they added pretzels to both my orders which wasn't requested. I let it go. I ordered two sundaes today and had instructions for the whip cream and fudge to be on the side so it would not ruin the to-go dessert and it was not done. The ice cream amount was not the normal large size as you get in the store. I do not recommend this location for they do not follow Instructions and do not meet Rita's standards for service.

5 stars for a reason. The ice cream was really good. I got strawberry lemonade shaved ice with 1/2 ice cream layered and it was great. Normally I wouldn't be able to finish all of a small but the ice cream and shaved ice was relatively light which was really nice. But the hospitality was just as good. Walking in, the workers were very friendly and offered lots of samples. Most places are stingy about that type of stuff so I was surprised. Both workers were extremely friendly. Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this Ritas Ice location. First off, they have the kindest and friendliest people working there. Eyra is my favorite! She always greets me with a smile and gives the best service. My husband loves the mint chocolate chip ice gelato which they were out of and they made me an entire tub for my husband. There service is a 10 and their flavors are the creamiest and the best! Thank you Eyra for always making me and my family feel welcome and giving such incredible service!

This is some of the best ice cream we've had in a while! The employee Angelina was so incredible and patient as we were trying each flavor, absolutely everything about this place was amazing and we will definitely be coming back again. Such quality ice cream and the best prices as well! You will not regret coming here! We had an incredible experience overall. We had the gelati which is the Italian ice with custard, we had the mango flavors and the tropical flavor with lemon and it was so good and refreshing! So good!!!!!

Amazing service and wonderful ice cream! We visited this Rita's location on a recent trip to Miami. We are from Pittsburgh and have a local Rita's franchise but it is only open from late spring to early fall. I've been telling my husband how good it is! He tried the ice cream for the first time here in Miami and LOVED it! The owner was so kind and excited that we loved his product so much - he gave us samples of any flavor we wanted and was so patient with us as we tried to decide between so many great options! While we ate our ice cream, he brought us an extra scoop on the house! Super friendly and kind service - a must visit in Miami!!

On Christmas Eve my family and I arrived at Rita's close to closing and Felix immediately embraced us with warmness and kindness. His enthusiasm and passion for his work, despite working on a holiday, resonated with my entire family. He made us feel right at home and sparked excitement within each of us to experience the wonderful treat that is Rita's, Thanks to Felix, I will never forget this special memory and the warmth I felt going to Rita's. I ordered a Cotton Candy Gelati with vanilla custard and I fell in love. It was so refreshing with the Ice and yet so creamy with the custard! A must try!!!
