The Best New Delivery Options In Manhattan

"For a vegan burger with the grease factor of an Americana fast food fever dream, order takeout from Pop’s Eat-Rite. The classic burger at this vegan fast food spot on St. Marks Place is topped with thick-cut sour pickles, caramelized onions, a dash of sweet ketchup, and plant-based American cheese that tastes salty and creamy enough for you to question its vegan-ness. There are also two other burgers, dairy-free soft serve, and a couple other deep-fried sides on the menu here, and if that sounds good to you, follow their Instagram for specials like homemade coconut lemon doughnuts." - nikko duren

This Rite Aid store has the product I needed, thanks to a recommendation of my associate. Raw Sugar proves to soothe the skin and be effective for relaxation and minor itches. The raw sugary cream on your skin puts relief to your skin care needs. I recommend Rite Aid for select lotions, and they keep stocking different ones each season. Take advantage of the points and save with coupons!

Google
Good service. Quick response. Friendly staff. Not many stores left like that.

Google
Super clean. The floors shined bright as you walk in. The lights were dim and the mood was positive. Customer service was the best but I know it probably isn't like that throughout the day it just so happened at the time I walked in it was a good mood.

Lovely friendly pharmacist. Pity the shelves look terribly empty (theft?).

Google
I had the worst experience dealing with this pharmacy. Just had spinal surgery and sent my caregiver to get my meds for the 2nd time. 1st time no issue but this time we've encountered a very rude pharmacy assistant who flagged me and told me send my prescription elsewhere. I had the worst night ever severe pain and discomfort due to someone with a napoleon complex who wanted to feel like a big shot.

Elan Lutinger

Google
Always a great experience at this pharmacy and the pharmacist goes out of her way to get medications to customers.

I'm usually too lazy to write a review or just don't care enough. But this was uniquely bad. I strongly urge anyone reading reviews to believe what recent reviews say. Google highlights older 4-5 star reviews but make no mistake; this place is awful 😃 They ignored what was written on the prescription sent to them so I received the incorrect amount, in the wrong dose, in the wrong packaging. They refused to let me pay out of pocket with coupons. The pharmacist just said no coupons "existed" for my "specific medication" without checking anything. Just making unwavering eye contact. Coupons for my medication are both on Rite Aid's website and on sites like GoodRX in connection with Rite Aid. Are coupons validated based on vibes?

Google
Great neighborhood pharmacy! The associates and pharmacists are always helpful and knowledgeable, medicines are ready in a short time and you know when to expect to pick up, no long wait times. This is the most efficient pharmacy I've ever been to. Plus, they have lots of convenient products in the store you can easily pick up.

Yelp
Came for a Covid I had scheduled. The whole store was so questiomable and the pharmacy did not seem clean, that I cancelled and left The assistant did not wear rubber gloves when he took the vaccine out for preparation. Looks like this soter is frequently robbed since almost everything is locke3d up and many shelves are empty

Yelp
The Latina pharmacist (wears glasses, in her 50's with shoulder length dark hair) is mean and nasty. Conveniently also had her name tag hidden. She refused to check a coupon code I had on a very expensive medication. There's just no reason to be this nasty from the get go.

Yelp
This Rite Aid ought to be ashamed of themselves. An 81 year old woman went to get her flu shot this week. When she presented her Medicare card, she was told by the pharmacy clerk (in the presence of the Pharmacist) that her Medicare card was outdated and that they could not give her the shot. Undeterred, she offered to pay the $150 they charge for the shot, and she would come back with a new Medicare card and they could reimburse her. They told her they could not reimburse her. So she told them no problem, I will just pay for the shot. They still denied her the shot. She had to go to another Rite Aid. The lack of customer service is astounding.

Yelp
It's unfortunate as this once once a totally acceptable drug store, sadly that's no longer the case. I don't know if they're closing, if there's really poor ordering going on or what, but everything is out of stock. It's like a peep whole into a dystopian future reminiscent of the Soviet collapse. Everything is locked up and there are very few buttons to alert workers. I hate shopping here and am sure I'm not alone. What happened to this place? No way it lasts another year in business, absolutely no way...

Yelp
Just another typical Rite Aid drug store. This one is open 24 hours 7 days a week. Right across the bus stop on East 5th. Convenient for those times I'm down here late at night and want to grab a snack and Gatorade while waiting for it. Otherwise, it's just ok. Can use a good refreshing.

Yelp
I noticed that this Riteaid is not like the typical ones. It has beautiful art, which makes it stand out. While I did not experience the food or service, the artistic aspect was photo worthy.

Yelp
i did an online order from this store. They charged me for a package of Tide pod, the most expensive thing on my order, but did not include them in the delivery. There was a note, printed on the back of a blank register tape attached to the bag, saying no TIDE INCLUDED. Yet they charged me for the item. I called customer service, who tried to blame the delivery service, but they had included a photo of the bag and note. Finally they told me the store would get back to be 1 to 3 days. never heard from them and no one else will help me. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS STORE!!!

Yelp
Best local store! Always well stocked, always helpful! I'm a life long resident of this neighborhood and this is my go to store!

Spencer F.

Yelp
sigh.. just never have stuff in stock. been trying to buy nitrile gloves for a month now. ordered a nasal cleaning machine that said online it was stock but then was suddenly cancelled without any explanation.. it just said item might be out of stock. the help buttons to get basic stuff like toothpaste r not usually there. gez sorry to say but this is why brick and mortor pharmacys are getting wiped out by online they just dont have thier stuff together. only go here if u need the pharmacy.. giving two stars for the pharmacy bc ive never had an issue with them.

Yelp
Rite is an helpful chain for all the people in the city or outside the city. Especially the ones that stay open 24 hours that's a haven spot for us to get some emergency medical stuff of grocery needs. This rite aid is bit crowded and always line up by the register. Been there many times and never seen the line finished. They probably have to work on that opening 2nd register. Or it's just busy because of the 24 hours options. They vary most beauty stuff to health needs, vitamins and drinks including beer. Most candies and chocolate bars available on the shelves also some school supplies needs are available. With battery needs most batteries, small to aa or aaa batteries available . It's good for especially when you car remote control run the battery out at 12 am in the morning. You just go to this rite aid and get one for your remote. Most batteries available variety of selection

Yelp
RiteAid, 225 Liberty Street, Battery Park, New York City, messaged me to say my prescriptions would all be ready between April 9-11 - see photo. When I went to collect on April 11, I was told they were not ready and I should come back on April 28. I felt so let down: we are talking medicine I must take daily and they all need to be on time. The above was not the first time it happened. The pharmacy staff, especially the pharmacists, come across as very uncaring, unprofessional and unhelpful. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I am glad I did. Walgreens, for example, has a very good App with excellent functions, among which is a step-by-step guide to switch from Rite Aid to Walgreens without leaving home. A painless transition. And I am very happy and, honestly, quite relieved, with my switch. Customers should never have to tolerate shockingly bad treatment - when this happens, they should take their business elsewhere.

Yelp
While making my way back home from the east village via walking I notice a Rite Aid and I got my reward card in my pocket and its 88 degrees with high humidity at 820pm and I need a cold beverage asap. What I notice about most rite aid stores is how many more aisles and shelves are filled with items compared to Walgreens and CVS. This particular location is well stocked , very organized and the rite aid staff are friendly folks. My quick trip for a cold diet soda, became a 20 minute visit with a bag full of useful stuff (cereal, pop tarts , Lindt white chocolate, ice cream and dove body spray) (ITS ALL USEFUL FOR ME). Glad I walked back home on a humid summer evening and found the local rite aid along my journey .

Daniel L.

Yelp
I went to Rite Aid this morning because I knew it opened at 7:00 a.m. The doors were shut. There was only one employee inside the store who was visible to the people waiting to enter. She didn't even acknowledge the people waiting outside because she was too preoccupied with her cellphone. I'm sure the employees' tardiness was due to public transportation issues caused by the snowstorm. Is it really that difficult to acknowledge your customers? In any case, I went to CVS to get the items I needed. In fact, I received a better deal at CVS. CVS will now be my go-to shopping destination!!! Rite-Aid lost about $40 in sales just from me!

Ted B.

Yelp
Regularly close up to 30 min earlier than their posted time. Carry expired products. Ignore the buzz to unlock items that are locked. Are rude. Constantly out of stock of common items. Apathy is the theme of this location. Need I say more? Rite aid should look into this. Regularly closing at 11 cause you want to go home when every sign says closes at 11 just inconveniences your customers and is bad practice

Nakia B.

Yelp
I went to the Rite Aid store # 04954, which is located at 7812 Flatlands Ave, Brooklyn NY 11236 & needed help, so I saw an employee stocking items in the same aisle that I needed assistance in. I approached him very politely for help, however, his whole body & facial expression was extremely rude, as if he really didn't want to assist me. All I needed was a price to an item that wasn't listed on the shelf & at 1st he just stood there with his back turned to me, as he continued to stock the shelf & I continued to stand there, so he finally decides to pull out what looked to be a scanner & just held it out until I caught on that he wanted to scan it. I had to guess the entire time if he was pulling it out to help me since he never verbalized anything to me. So I walked up to him with distance in between & he stretched his arms out & scans the item & then turns it to me without a word. I couldn't read it clearly because of the distance & because the wording was small, and on top of that I had an eye infection. Before I could say anything he turned the scanner away & gave me his back as he continued stocking with the nastiest attitude. I go up to the register to get a price on the item I needed help with from the previous nasty employee & I explained what just transpired. The cashier apologized & told me that he must be having a bad day. I wanted to make a complaint to the manager, however, the cashier tells me that the employee I'm complaining about was actually the manager, so I couldn't even make a complaint at the store. It is very unprofessional for any employee dealing with the public to be so rude & nasty.... ESPECIALLY A MANAGER who is suppose to lead & set the example for his employees underneath him. But most of all, hard working people want to go & spend their money & be treated with simple respect! If you don't want to deal with the public, you should not work in retail or any public setting! Check your issues at the door when you are at work in work mode, because your problems have nothing to do with the customers spending their money & keeping that business afloat!

Yelp
Okay, so this store is not fully stocked and the soda cooler is a crying shame...only two bottles of seltzer??? However, when I was online to pay I was looking at the In Touch magazine with Katie and Suri on the cover (yeah, we're on a first name basis) and I made a comment about how I hoped Suri would be okay and then the cashier and I had a five minute conversation about the whole TomKat divorce saga. It was gripping social commentary. So on that basis alone, I recommend going here. Also, it helps if you've been drinking before you go here. Worked for me.
google avatar

Rell G.

Yelp
Terrible, this is the 2nd time I've come by and the night crew has the door locked, now someone actually sleeping by the door waving people away. I will never be coming here again smh

Natalie S.

Yelp
BEWARE Do NOT have prescriptions filled here. Will take you several hours to get important rush prescriptions like antibiotics. I had a terrible ear infection and waited 6 hours to get an antibiotic prescription filled. They didn't care that I was in extreme pain and was begging. They had no compassion and were just super rude and lazy. Do not care about helping people just another evil corporation making money.
google avatar

Sara Y.

Yelp
24/7 during Corona time. security is standing by the entrance. although it's self service at the register, few girls can help at the payments as well. Quiet you can go shopping anytime you want. If you don't have a store card, workers won't help U anything(some store does scan) and cold attitudes.

Robbie H.

Yelp
This Rite Aid is great! The go-to drug store in the neighborhood! The people are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Especially Mary, behind the counter. The store is clean and well-stocked.
google avatar

Corinna B.

Yelp
Out of all the drugstores in the area, RiteAid definitely has the best deals, including Swiffer 12 sheets for $3.99, a gallon of water for $0.99, 2x24 small water bottles for $5/$6 (depending on brand), or Pringles 2/$3. These discounts are only temporary of course, but honestly, I can wait for another discount round to buy my next pack of Swiffers. My advice, when toilet paper is on sale (2 for 1), BUY IT while it lasts. Sells out fast and I'm not even surprised. I love that this store is open 24 hours, however, customer service is probably only available about 1 hour a day, if not never. I'll rather have more staff working at the registers though, and with deals like that, I really wouldn't want to complain.
google avatar

Suresh D.

Yelp
I was in here yesterday primarily to buy some Claritin. I noticed they had a sale of buy one, get second 50% off. Since my allergies started acting up near end of August I know they will continue in September so I bought 2. The line to pay was short so it didn't take long to leave.

Schmitty Eats ..

Yelp
Don't have your hours listed at 24/7 during an epidemic if your not going to be open all 24 hours. If your closed for cleaning that's respectable at least turn your sign off.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Open 24 hours. Has what you need. Convenient. But I don't like supporting a chain in the East Village. It is also super pricey. They definitely mark things up. Check out the dollar discount store next to this spot on the South side if you want to find some better generic deals and support a small business.
google avatar

Roseva H.

Yelp
I really like rite Aid Pharmacy the pharmacist always answers my questions for the most part she's very thorough there's never been any errors or mistakes with my prescriptions like I've had with other pharmacies so I will continue to favor this Pharmacy above all others rite Aid the store has everything that I need shampoos conditioners food candies they having a sore a wide variety and assortment of many different things toys for children as well so I like shopping at rite Aid very much so especially this particular rite Aid
google avatar

Abby S.

Yelp
Although the took only one of my two returns...They do not take returns from other Rite Aid stores in general. I must return to the original rite Aid to make my other return. This makes no sense. For this reason I won't purchase anything from this store because what's the point of supporting the business? With inflexible return policies

Pedro B.

Yelp
You can get so much at Rite Aid. Oh their depressing aisles. Their seasonal deals suck, I'm afraid. Still I get upset when not seeing one for miles. Walgreens owns it and that's crazy. Their old school identity I dig. It's an one stop shop when I'm lazy. Oh how I love being a prig.
google avatar

Noelle M.

Yelp
Love rite aid! Always have great deals! Cookies and candies on sale with the rite aid rewards card. Sometimes the lines are long to checkout, only because they should hire some more workers.
google avatar

Will L.

Yelp
Still the same long lines, maybe it's management or just the way the store is. I've been going to Key Food instead. It's a little longer walk but at least over there I feel good about shopping and I don't have to wait on the long lines because they also have self check outs. I don't have to deal with the cashiers attitudes. They don't feel welcoming, instead it's more like why do I have to deal with you people. It feels like I'm a bother to them. I see other workers doing other stuff and will not come and help the cashiers even when they have a long lines, unless finally someone calls over the intercom and ask for assistance. I notice this time to time again. Shouldn't fast check out matter? Guess not
google avatar

Liz L.

Yelp
Honestly, just don't even bother. The customer service is deplorable and the wait times are unbelievable. I live right around the corner and I refuse to step foot in this store again.
google avatar

Edward F.

Yelp
Each time I've visited this Rite Aid location, there is ALWAYS a line of five+ people waiting and only one register open.... The aisles of this location are disorganized and often there is inventory still boxed up that hasn't been placed on the shelves.... The one hour photo kiosk (do people still develop film?) is usually out of service.... I need to keep a mental note to myself that if I need to go to the drug store, go to Duane Reade further north!
google avatar

Charlotte M.

Yelp
They renovated last month. Do you know what I hear? The sound of gentrification, i.e. the sound of my rent going up. What used to be a dull lackluster third-world version of a Midtown Duane Reade is now a shining star of rebirth- a glittery convenience store with many new sales associates and open registers and a greeter and better products and, sadly, about a billion more candy options. All of which are almost always next to free. Which brings me to my main complaint- It's hell on my diet. Hell. Rite Aid has the best sales (with your Rite Aid card, of course), it's so much less expensive than Duane Reade or Walgreens. Who cares? Me. Because Rite Aid is my next door neighbor and thus it is where I buy all of the stuff for my casa. 24/7, I'm here at this Rite Aid at least once a day. I even use it in lieu of an ATM since you can get cash back on your card purchases. Freaking awesome.
google avatar

Malificent G.

Yelp
I agree with Charle M's review. You know exactly what you're getting when you walk in the door. Can I just share a couple things I truly love about this place? The L'Oreal EverPure product line (a fantastic sulfate-free alternative to the overpriced color-safe hair products out there, just read any blog) is ALWAYS on sale, at least by $2 per product. Contact solution? Sale. Vitamins? Sale! Hair brushes, ties, whatnot is all on sale, too. Hosiery? Those sheer guys that rip after the first time you wear them out? SALE. If saving a couple of bucks per item means I wait longer in line, fine by me. To all you crybabies out there, don't you have a smartphone? Don't we all have those now? Why is waiting in line for 3 minutes such a downer? That's like the time it takes to read/delete 15 emails. So now that you've been productive AND saved money, go across the street to Starbucks and treat yourself to a venti with the money you saved. Now go to the gym, fatty.
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
Worst convenience store in the east village. They are constantly out of stock of extremely basic things and never have anyone working on the floors to help people find anything. They also tried to convince me to give a chemically different drug to my dog than what my vet told me to purchase and claimed they were the same when the drug they were trying to sell with me had additional active ingredients. I regularly wait a half hour extra for my medications to be filled at the pharmacy and they have never given me my full prescription all at once, making me come back again another day. With the exception of the Walgreens in union square, this is the worst major brand convenience store I have been to in Manhattan. Staff is unhelpful and there's always a long line. Avoid this store if you can.
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
This isn't a good drugstore. Unfortunately it's close to me so I end up going there for essentials in a crunch. They have a really random and minimal selection and seem to be missing key items. I love wandering around drugstore and buying useless and often girly shit. I can't even kill time in this rite aid. So sad.

Maggie D.

Yelp
I was in the Whitehouse NJ Rite Aid this afternoon and found that one of the employees or contractors who was taking care of the magazines and newspapers was in without a mask. She was very close to customers and I asked her where her mask was and she ignored me and kept talking on her phone. I then asked the cashier if he could ask her and he said she was only taking care of the magazines. Another employee was next to him and said nothing. This is awful as I am older and very afraid of catching the virus. I will never use this Rite Aid again. For all of you - it is on Rte 22 east bound in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
google avatar

Shawn C.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool Rite Aid. I'll tell you why it's pretty cool, - Clean - 24 hours - Quick in & out - Good selection of stuffs However, there is always something weird going on here. That's part of the charm though.
google avatar

I. C.

Yelp
It's the cheapest drugstore in the neighborhood, i.e. much cheaper than Duane Reade. However, they're always sold out of pretty much everything in the weekly sales circular and the staff is not very helpful. Do ask for rainchecks when things are on sale, but sold out. Then you can come in a week later and pick up what you need at the sale price. This is pretty much what I always end up doing.

Marian W.

Yelp
Store is okay. Service at this location is terrible. I got on line to pay and the guy standing around pushed me toward one of the self-scanners. I really don't like using those. He didn't offer to assist me, just walked away and when I called out for help nobody responded. I managed to get everything scanned and paid for, but after I paid for the bag the woman working the register said I didn't have to pay for it. After I'd already paid. Which it wasn't a lot and wasn't her fault, she was busy ringing up another customer. The guy who pushed me to the self-scanner should've helped when I asked, and I should've been given the information. I know these are hard times and I appreciate the fact that the people in this store are working during this time, but this Rite Aid really needs to train its employees on customer service.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Open 24/7 but their staff is unable to help and very slow. It's impossible to get information when you call.
google avatar

Dominick A.

Yelp
Great pharmacy staff! Always really long lines at the checkout counter. Good monthly deals. I come here, but I know I will wait in a long line.
google avatar

Kristina C.

Yelp
There is, without fail, always a long line. It is the most mysterious thing. There is either not enough people or some other evil force is present.
google avatar

Pinky C.

Yelp
This is my red bull stop every other morning before work, I pick up some red bull. Tonight, I'm buying some Dove product to stay fresh! Don't forget to use Rite Aid reward cards to add up some points and/or discounts!
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
This rite never seems to have common every-day items in stock. I'd let that go...but the cashiers are incredibly rude! They act as if they can't be bothered to help customers. One woman cashier even yelled/cursed at an elderly lady who didn't understand the Rite Aid point system. If you have a different drugstore that you can go to, then definitely go there over this Rite Aid.
google avatar

Isabella W.

Yelp
Would you like to shop at one of the crappiest staffed Rite Aid? Then by all means come here. The only reason I ever come here is that this is the only Rite Aid location that is convenient for me and the only pharmacy that sells Glycerin ( I was surprised on how hard it turned out for me to purchase this substance in NYC). And sure, they have occasional buy 1 get 1 free sales which are awesome. Aside from that... the usual staff (except the pharmacy, which I have never deal with thus I can't comment) always seem pissy and annoyed that you ever ask them for help.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
The mongoloids who work here really piss me off. They are rude, obnoxious, lazy, inappropriate, and loud. Their least concern is actually ringing up the customer. You're lucky if they even tell you what your total is, or actually bag your items. I want to slap the people who work here.
google avatar

Madi T.

Yelp
I've been waiting in line at the pharmacy for 10 minutes now and have been completely ignores by both pharmacists.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
The worst Ride Aid. I would only go here in an emergency i.e. being chased by smart bears and you need to hide. There is always a line and by line, I mean 10-15 people and one cashier. This happens every time I go there. It is really ridiculous. The manager must be terrible to constantly have these staffing problems.

Emily Y.

Yelp
Not much to note. This is just another drugstore with the standard assortment of staples. Minus 1 Star for the cashiers loudly cracking golden shower jokes to each other (not very professional, guys!) Minus 1 Star for getting (politely) kicked out half an hour before the store was actually scheduled to close
