From the moment we stepped onto the rooftop bar of Hotel Vista, our evening at Riva Restaurant Numana unfolded like a beautifully choreographed culinary performance. The aperitivo set the tone—elegant, relaxed, and full of promise.
🍷 We chose the Menu Adriatico, a 10-course tasting journey that danced between tradition and innovation. Each dish was a visual and flavorful surprise, elevated by a crisp Pecorino white wine that paired seamlessly with the chef’s creations. The kitchen’s flair for blending Japanese precision with French elegance was evident in dishes like Bombetti alla Bourguignonne—a playful nod to classic technique with a modern twist.
🔥 My personal highlight was Ardente, a bold composition of Vesuvio raguse, paprika, and lardo di patanegra. It was fiery, rich, and unforgettable.
🐾 Toffee, our dog, was welcomed with warmth—an unexpected but heartwarming touch that made the evening feel even more personal.
👨🍳 Service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. The only slight challenge was understanding the whispered dish descriptions, which, for non-native Italian speakers, required a bit of extra focus. Still, it added a layer of mystery to each plate.
💶 At €90 for the tasting menu, the value is clear—roughly €10 per dish for inventive, high-level cuisine. And the cherry on top? A signed copy of the menu from the chef, a thoughtful memento of a truly special night.
Riva isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a journey. One that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating.
