The Best Restaurants In North Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Rival Bros in Brewerytown is a comfortable space where some people work on laptops, and others sip on espressos while “working” on laptops. The menu at this cafe has options like cinnamon toast and smoky avocado toast in the morning, and a tangy hoagie salad or turkey clubs for lunch. We usually go for the cold brew. The Rival Bros signature blends are all solid, but their nitro cold brew is the best in town." - candis mclean

The Best Coffee Shops In Philly - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Rival Bros. is a coffee chameleon. If you need a big place to camp out and get work done, head to their location in Brewerytown. Want a neighborhood spot to pop in and out on a walk? Check out the cafe in Passyunk Square. And when you can’t decide between a place to have coffee or a cocktail, go to Enswell in Rittenhouse. We usually get their nitro cold brew—it's our favorite in town." - alison kessler

The Newest Restaurants In Philadelphia

"Rival Brothers Coffee’s latest location is in Brewerytown. Along with pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and toasts like an everything sourdough topped with a soft boiled egg from Mighty Bready Company, you can expect the classic menu of espresso, cold brews, and other morning pick-me-ups. " - candis mclean, alison kessler

Vegetarian perspective I've been to tons of coffee shops in Philly and this one really impressed me! Good tea options and unique vegetarian toasts. I got the artichoke one and was so impressed! The bread, the spread, the artichokes, all of it was so fresh and lovely. Pricey upcharge for non dairy milk ($1) but common issue at coffee shops.

Nice little coffee shop to do work or hang out and chat. I got an Americano which tasted kinda just okay. The atmosphere is very nice though and the music was great. They have a lot of beautiful pastries and baked goods they make in house and also some special seasonal syrups for their lattes.

This was my first visit. I had not been in that area for over 30 years it was a refreshing change. But a little sad because with change you wonder where the original residents went. But I digress. The location is on he corner of the block and I love the exposed brick. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by one of the servers behind the counter. She was extremely cheerful and kind. I had the pleasure of trying the cronut and the croissant. The cronut was extremely good and though I'm not sure it tasted like it may have had a touch of apple.

We're so glad to have a Rival Bros in our neighborhood! The coffee is excellent, staff are friendly, and the location is always clean and comfy. Grabbing an espresso to enjoy in the cafe feels special because it's served in a sweet ceramic cup. We also enjoy buying a bag of whole beans for espresso, or getting a bag ground for pour over. Love the iced chai too!

Popped in on a beautiful Sunday to get a matcha. New to the Brewerytown neighborhood and the ambiance was nice! I ordered an iced Matcha with strawberry, but the only thing I could taste when I drank it was the oatmilk and hint of matcha. I definitely did not taste any strawberry even after mixing it around, which was quite disappointing because it was a couple extra dollars totaling an $8 drink. I unfortunately will not be back considering the price and taste of my drink.

Every single staff member I’ve encountered here is always so kind. They really make it a great vibe. Good coffee in a really great environment.

Would give this a 5. Love the coffee, love the space, the staff play their music way too loud. I’d give the atmosphere a 5 if they just chilled a bit.
