My wife and I (and kiddos) love LOCAL places, especially when coffee is in play! Evansville is lucky to have a handful but, River City - for me - is at the very top of the list! From the amazing coffee drinks they offer (which are always amazing), to the local gifts and products they offer (such as my favorite local honey, and even the fantastic root beer from Triple XXX, a West Lafayette/Purdue tradition)! Can’t say enough about River City! Try it, you’ll love it too!

Kitchy store with a great vibe, kind service, and great selection! We enjoyed a soda from the cooler and explored the store. Earrings to kitchen towels, they have everything! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everytning!

My first time in this place and I will be back. I had the Ski tonic which is excellent. It is such a cute place and definitely a place to gift shop.

We were walking around downtown and decided to stop in at around 7pm on a Sunday for a light snack purchased a Matcha latte,Golden latte, morning glory bread and blueberry muffin. Food was excellent, the drinks were not sweet like a Starbucks which we liked. Pure tea and flavors were what we needed for the early night. If you want sweet make sure you ask for it or you'll be dissatisfied with your latte experience! Service was friendly and couldn't ask for a better first time visiting the River City Coffee and Goods.

They serve Quills coffee roast. Absolutely delicious. House made syrups. Stopped here during the eclipse (hence the purple latte). Really one of the best roasts in the country, and River City baristas do it right. Also have a lot of cool merch.

River City's coffee is consistently great. The baristas know what they're doing and they use excellent quality beans. The flavored lattes are delicious and balanced, without being overly sweet.

Excellent place to stop by and grab some good coffee. Atmosphere is nice, pretty well located. Handmade store with a lot of cute designs.

I absolutely love this small business in Evansville! They have a wonderful curated assortment of local gifts: jewelry, soap, leather goods, books, kids toys, clothing, decor and more! When in Evansville, you absolutely must come browse all these local goods. It's the perfect place to get a gift for anyone on your list. They have a bar with snacks, coffee, and beverages with a small cafe seating area in the back. I highly recommend the Ski Tea Tonic - made with elderberry tea and Ski soda! It's refreshing with a nice balance of sweet and sour for a hot day!

I am only visiting for the day and this was the first stop I made in this town, walking in I was greeted very warmly and kindly, I didn't stay but the dining area was very clean and fresh, it looked like there were quite a few good spots to set up for work or just sit. My chi was very delicious, not too over powering and not too sweet! A very pleasant coffee shop :)

Completely random stop - but saw the sign for a River city coffee on the sidewalk and made the stop. I had a dirty chi that was good, the pull in the espresso was just right and it had a little spice without someone overdoing it. The store is amazingly cute with a different variety of things from local soaps to funny shirts. It's a good little place as you are passing through to get a few things specific to Evansville. Place was very clean and laid out nicely. I've got a few more days in town and I could see me seeking this place out a second time..

The matcha was creamy, delicious, and amazing a great start for the day! Loved the decorations and knick knacks that they sold too. Came back 2 days in a row so definitely worth a visit.

I've been into River City Coffee & Goods several times now since moving to EVV and I'm thankful for this local establishment. This is a revised review with some more details since my initial visits! You'll find a variety of regionally-made jewelry and other goods, cards, kitchy gifts, knick knacks, plus EVV shirts and swag, local flowers (replenished weekly), and of course -- coffee!! Prices on items vary, but there are price points on something for everyone A few years ago we decided to keep fresh flowers in the house as a "NY resolution" -- we've continued to do that pretty regularly either from grocery/ market trips or from our local florists and farmers markets when we lived in Indy so I was so happy to learn that Timberview Flower Farm replenishes arrangements weekly! I've loved picking out arrangements from the cooler. For Valentine's Day, I got my bf a snake plant + card as part of their preorder -- so great! I've enjoyed shopping for gifts here and the chai tea latte was the bomb. They also have baked goods, but I haven't tried those (yet)! I look forward to more visits here. Staff is friendly/ helpful, behind a barrier with COVID precautions being followed and masked. Hand sanitizer is available and there are arrows on the floor to attempt to flow traffic one way around the register.

Stopped by to do some studying and reading. The place is clean and neat with local goods and drinks. I had the lavender vanilla chai and it was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was also chock full of chocolate chips and delicious, especially warmed up in the microwave. There is ample seating, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Stop by to see the goods or just to relax for a moment with a nice cup of coffee or tea!

This place is sooo cute! Stopped in for a coffee and browsed all their gifts. It was such a cute little shop and definitely a good place to look if you are wanting an "Etsy like" gift. The coffee was great and they had socially distanced seating.

I love the location off this shop, it's right off Main Street and close to the riverfront. I ordered a latte to go, but I must say this location has a ton of seating and was clean. I love all the local goods around the shop, it makes the wait for your food/beverage enjoyable. It is definitely a great place for unique gifts!

We were looking forward to an after dinner coffee and chose River City Coffee because of the 5 star review. We were disappointed from the get go. The young lady taken our order seemed a little aggravated that she had to wait on us and never made eye contact or smiled at all. I needed some sweetener and cream for my coffee and asked a gentleman behind the counter about it. I understand that due to Covid they are not allowed to keep the items out for customers but again, he seemed put out that I asked. We wouldn't recommend even though the coffee was "ok".

I love working on homework here! The staff is always friendly and they make really good iced coffee and vanilla lattes. The outdoor seating in the back of the store is a great addition. Also looking through all the unique gifts inside is the perfect study break, especially the card section!

Truly a treasure in Evansville! This extremely friendly coffee spot in Evansville is a must go for any local or simply a passer by in the Evansville area. The owners are constantly improving the already aesthetically pleasing and incredibly inviting atmosphere of River City Coffee. For someone such as myself local business is quite important to me. River City Coffee takes the motto "Buy Local" to the most pleasant of extremes. Filling the shop with many local merchants and artists products. Giving an avenue to many local entrepreneurs that they would otherwise not have. Have I mentioned the coffee? When you go (not if) do yourself a favor and enjoy an "Ameri-cola" Coffee and soda? Yeah that's right and it is DELICIOUS. I've yet to have a beverage or experience at River City Coffee that was less than wonderful. All in all, originality and comfort oozes from this incredibly comfortable coffee shop in the heart of downtown Evansville.

Chill vibes, funny staff, and a great place to sit and sip some coffee. I have been here a few times and it is a cool environment. The pastries always look good. Typically there are a few records on sale. My favorite thing is their custom greeting cards. They are unique, well designed, and are often funny. I will come here for a quick bite to eat or a unique greeting card.

If you're looking for a quick stop at coffee shop in downtown or Evansville then this is the place. Their decor is lofty with lounging areas for those who work with their computers and a place to relax in general sipping on expresó and teas. They also support on showcasing their goodies and local products within tri-state or just Evansville region of individual sellers . If I were you, I would check out this place while you're on your morning walk or need a caffeinated fix to get through the day.

I had the seasonal pumpkin latte which was just enough coffee with a hint of pumpkin and nutmeg. I look forward to going back and buying some gifts for friends and family!!!

Cool coffee shop with a nice selection of local and artisan goods in historic downtown Evansville. We found some great cards, handmade soaps, and other items.

I moved to Evansville at the start of 2018, I happened across River City the first week I was in town and have been hooked ever since. I'm there 5+ times per week. The coffee is some of the best in town, the staff makes you feel like family and there are some fun, uniquely curated products that have served as perfect gift options. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I love the friendliness and the atmosphere of the shop and love the products they sell. Although this is a great place to go they don't have the best coffee. The coffee beans are burnt giving the coffee a bitter burnt taste. That is my only problem. They do have great muffins and cookies but if you're looking for great coffee this isn't the best place for you.

This is a very nice coffee shop. It's full of local products (makes this place a bigger plus). It is a quiet spot to study or chat with the barista lady. I had an enjoyable conversation about heaps of things. I had Cortado and a cappucino and both were deliciously good?!

Employees are nice here. I went here with one of my friends. They have a nice selection of books. They also have art supplies. It's a cozy place. Honey moon cafe is next door.

The nicest owners in town! Lots of variety in shopping from local creators & businesses. I get all of my closing gifts here.

Delicious coffee, nice people, I even like the music. And in addition to coffee drinks and sweets there's a great selection of gifts and home items, new and vintage vinyl, flowers and plants sometimes, gift wrap and cards. And they are great neighbors for Downtown Evansville.

This is a cute local coffee shop in Evansville. I had the vanilla late and it was really good. Their gift store is full of one of a kind items. Will definitely be back. This coffee joint is definitely a winner :)

A nice quiet place to set up a temporary office and plenty of coffee to keep you alert and working. A nice collection of locally produced gifts, too. Only negative is that there is no hot water at the restroom sink.

What a cozy friendly atmosphere. The vanilla latte was the best. They also sell artisan soaps and local crafts.

Visited this gem of a coffee shop today! Awesome coffee! I ordered a cappuccino, that was made to a frothy perfection. I was also able to try some of the brewed coffee they had ready to go. It was so great. It's a cute little shop that is nice and cozy if want to sit for a while, read a book and sip on some delicious hot beverage! If you love coffee this is a great place to check out.

Awesome coffee shop with homemade syrups. Irish Cream lattes are so good. Love the custom soaps from Sixth St Soapery & other homemade local gifts, stationary & leather goods. Nice setting offers wifi for those of us always needing to be connected.

Cute shop, however I just wanted a cup of coffee, only had two kinds already brewed.... wasn't a huge fan. However, the service and guy that worked the bar was wonderful and knowledgeable on everything. It's a bit more expensive than I would have thought for a large coffee.

I am not from Evansville, but I have a lot of family who lives there. Whenever I come to visit, I always swing by River City Coffee! I make sure to always try something different and I cannot seem to pick a favorite, because they are always exactly what I need at the time. Their latte's, no matter the flavor, always seems to be the perfect ratio. Their over-pours are made to precise perfection and their BLISSFUL ROSE CHAI LATTE is to die for. The staff is always super friendly, courteous and genuinely cares about striking up a conversation. They are also located in a great location in the heart of Evansville. I cannot wait to come back.
