River City Grille

Nice establishment with a great river view. Staff was all super friendly and attentive. I had a chicken salad sandwich which was very basic. Softest bread I've ever had though! Fries were good. Price matched the value.

The chicken fried steak and fried catfish were fabulous! Worth stopping for that. The fried okra, coleslaw and green beans were acceptable but not out of this world. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. I'd go back if I was in Marble Falls but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it.

This restaurant was great! Staff were extremely nice, the food was good, and prices were reasonable. The space is beautiful and the views as well! Definitely worth the visit.

We came up here for the weekend at WorldMark resort. Had dinner at the River City grille. Great food the catfish I had was phenomenal. My husband had chicken fried steak and he said it was okay. The salad was great crisp

We were on a vacation trip and stopped for a quick, informal meal on the Colorado River. Fantastic view of the river and the boat traffic on the river. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while enjoying the view, and ordered the tower of onion rings as a starter - which did not disappoint! Crispy, crunchy, and served with a tangy dip - so good! We ordered fish tacos and a ribeye steak meal, which were also very good. The prices were reasonable, and the wait staff was friendly and helpful throughout our meal. We would absolutely recommend the River City Grille when you're in the area!

Had the pleasure of dropping in tonight. Michelle and tonight's staff were all smiles and so engaged with the customers. An establishment is good, but it is great when they treat you like family and show you that you are important. The atmosphere is so relaxed that customers felt like they were hanging out with all their friends. Tables were engaging each other in conversation like it was a local gathering. This is a great family friendly place with a great selection of food and beverages. I couldn't recommend a better place to go relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a great meal.

Everything was so good I want to come back again and again. The chicken fried steak is fork tender. The cheesecake is so delicious I want to take a whole one home. Everything was the best I've had in a long time.

Came over here for a day trip from San Antonio. We went to Sweet Berry Farms for the corn maze. Then we came here to eat. No regerts. I got the chicken fried steak sub gravy with chile con queso. It reminded me of post covid restaurant Lulu's. Delicious! Would highly recommend.

Finally made it in for a date lunch with my luv and it did not disappoint! The service was top notch h all the way from walking in the door to getting the check! The soup was very good. It was baked potato today. The catfish was so delicious. The best I've had in a while. It was cooked just right without the soft, soggy texture you might get elsewhere. My husband saw someone at the table next to us get the fish tacos and just knew he had to get them. He was pleased with those as well. We will definitely have to come back after dark and check it out then. Just a beautiful place!

Catch of the Day You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Very broad menu, from grilled to fried. I had the catch of the day, grilled trout with lemon sauce. Amazing!! Sweet and Unsweetened tea as well. The restaurant is right on the Colorado River.

Very nice and open. Good service, good food and great interior. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, with fries. The fries were very crispy, seasoned well, and delicious. The Grilled Chicken was very moist and cooked perfectly. Melted cheese only added to the flavor. It is a large sandwich, so towards the end of the meal, I removed the bread and ate the chicken. I would eat here again.

Because of River city Grill is the primary reason I ended up going back and spending a nice weekend in marble Falls. The restaurant overlooks a nice view of waterfront and made for a very relaxing sunset dinner atmosphere. Service was a bit slow and food was pretty good. But recommend it if you're looking for a nice relaxing spot to have dinner in marble.

The very unique tasting potato chip fried chicken breast with green chili sauce was very savory. Never had anything like this before, but it was super good. The fish tacos were hearty and quite filling. The catfish was moist, and the aoili gave the taco just the right flavor. Their fries are pretty good. The restaurant provides a nice view of Marble Falls Lake, even better from the patio.

Small town feel. Plenty of parking. The waitress was attentive up until it got a tad too busy I believe for her. She was attempting to multitask a bit too many tasks at once. Overall though the service was good. The pulled pork came on a bun with a nice crisp along the edge. I wish it had more Cole slaw on it though. The sweet potato fries were good.

Indoor and outdoor terrace seating available. Seat on the outdoor terrace to enjoy the beautiful lake views. Staff are accommodating and courteous. Prices are kept low so locals can afford to request this business. Big bad bbq onion burger looked impressive, and all the fixings were delicious. However, the patty itself was beyond bland, hard, and chewy. Probably prefrozen burger party that has been in the freezer for too long. Didn't taste like meat, or anything, for that matter. Skip and go for something else. Texas Reuben was surpassingly tasty (and light & small). The rye bread had a nice balanced flavor to complement the meat. The pastrami was over salted--prepare to chug gallons water afterwards. The side of coleslaw was tiny, if you're looking for a less unhealthy meal option. Carrot cake was decadently sweet and rich. Portion big enough to share amongst two. Served warm, this is truly a sugarholic fantasy. The sponge is fluffy and light, not dense, like most carrot cakes, which feel like a brick once they hit your stomach. You won't feel disgustingly heavy after this indulgence. The icing is insanely sweet and cinnamon--reminded me of Cinnabons.

The food was overall okay. They had a waitlist for outdoor seating because everyone wants to see that beautiful view. We were okay sitting inside, which was a cute atmosphere as well. Our waitress was sweet and came a few times to make sure we were ok and/or needed anything.

OH My Goodness! The food here all tastes from scratch! If we lived locally, we'd come here all the time!

Very nice view of the water. The service was excellent ! Chicken fried steak was so so. It was a good cut of meat, very tender but it was obvious the grease needed to be changed in the fryer.

The food was great! I enjoyed my fish tacos and fries. I love tacos and they did a great job! They were so filling that I had to take one of the three tacos home. They have something for everyone and the portions are generous. I wish I'd of had room for dessert, though I did try a spoon of the chocolate cake and ice cream which were wonderful. The wait was a little long. The service wasn't ideal, but a manager came by to apologize for our treatment. The restaurant had lots of parking.

Excellent food, cocktails, and desserts. Waitress was awesome and on top of things, and got our specific food substitutions right the first time, which was a lot since we had a party of 8, 5 of which were kids.

Went to River City on a Saturday night. Pleasantly busy but not crowded. I have lived in town for 2 years and never made it there. I am glad I did. I got the Green Chili Tacos and they were very good. Service was excellent even when several big tables came in while we were eating. I am going back. Next I am trying the burger.

To start off our trip to Fredericksburg, we stopped for lunch in Marble Falls. Had a great meal at River City. Nice patio seating over the lake/river. Nice friendly service who also helped us make some choices on the menu. We had the pork chop and the bacon cheese burger. Chop was moist and tasty but a little salty due to the brine - not uncommon. The burger was quality meat, cooked perfectly for my request (medium well) and was a large helping with quality toppings. I added gilled mushrooms and they did not skimp. We both had the Cole slaw also which was good. I highly recommend stopping by.

The service and the staff were excellent! They were friendly and helpful. I can't say enough in praise of how we were . The food was very good and the portions were more than adequate. We have already been back. And, frankly, our second visit was so much like the first one that I cannot remember the differences to describe them.

Lunch with a view, what more can you ask for! My friend and I had lunch here on our spontaneous trip to Marble Falls. I enjoyed the atmosphere of River City Grille and the food was great too! We ordered the Onion Rings as an appetizer and they were soooo satisfying. I don't remember how long it's been since I've had onion rings, but I could not stop eating these! For lunch I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was very tasty! It has the right amount of acidity and tang. Plenty of parking and very friendly wait staff. I would highly recommend stopping by for a great meal and a great time!

Normally I do not rave about out of town spots unless they truly stand out to me. This place left such a favorable impression that I came back in for more after my Krause Springs trail race the next day!! The views of lake marble falls are incredible. And lots to look at with boats and activities on the water day or night. Julia who worked the patio both days was an absolute lady boss with the most personable attention to detail service. I really enjoyed chatting with her while I dined! She made sure everyone on the patio was taken care of. The presentation of food is great and consistent/fresh. Such a memorable time with great food and excellent service. I'll be back soon to get my pre & post trail race fuel!!

We tried 'fish cakes' and they were great. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was different and unique. We would go back if we were in the area. We visited during the Bluebonnet Festival.

I was really hoping for a nice experience here but it wasn't. Visited for the first time yesterday. Staff was young and sloppy. "If you need anything, flag me down" is not what I want to hear from a server. They shorted me on my order with items missing. They also sat a large party next to me and wedged them in uncomfortably close. So close, that the servers kept grabbing my chair and pulling themselves through the small openings as they came and went. Incredibly rude and an A-Hole move on River City Grill's part. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great atmosphere with nice view of lake. Dine inside or outside. Service has been great each time we visit. Large menu selection for whatever your appetite desires. And food is always fresh and prepared to your tastes. Our favorites are the huge salads for lunch and and any fish selection for lunch or dinner. Fish is always prepared correctly. Crispy for fried or baked salmon is superb! Haven't had their steaks but I hear those , pork chops and chicken fried steaks are fabulous. They also have a very nice bar area.

The food was very tasty and the side dishes were very large. Our server was very sweet, attentive and not over bearing. We chose to sit inside but there was outdoor seating that looked over the water.

The food was great and atmosphere was equal. I definitely will be back. Our server I think her name was gabby was fantastic.

Rude manager, cold food, not complete order, would never recommend this place again! It was our anniversary & she came out asking us to leave just because we asked for the complete order& it was cold. But the manager is cold & rude& told us to leave or she would call the police. Worst ever restaurant experience! Bartender & bus boy was nice & personable. Waitress & manager were horrific! Beware! Looks nice on the outside but heartless & unprofessional on the inside.

We had the best service with kathryn!!! I am also in the customer service industry and let me tell you it's been years since I've received such amazing customer service! She always made sure our drinks were full, and she kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed! She definitely needs a raise, and some acknowledgment for how hard she works. I was observing her and she had five tables and all of them looks extremely happy. Food was great atmosphere was phenomenal and the best part was her service! kathryn, thank you!!!!! If you come here, make sure to ask for her! We will see you next tine we are in town! 10/10

Terrible food. Boneless wings were dry and barely sauced. Burger I asked for medium rare and was well done. They at least omitted the lettuce and tomato I asked for. Buns were dry as well. Their big bad BBQ burger lived up to it's name in the worst way. It had tough bacon, a congealed cheddar blob and was clearly a frozen patty. Thanks for the one sad onion ring on top and a measly amount of BBQ sauce. Server was nice, tipped her 20%. I ate half and left it.

We had friendly service and good food. The portions are big. There is a nice view of Lake Marble Falls and it's a relaxed ambiance. Lots of families, couples and friends dining.

A solid 5 stars for food quality, service, friendliness, and willingness to accommodate a fairly large party (eleven), with some having food sensitivities. We had reservations for Mother's Day - adding two last-minute guests that morning (my fault for miscounting). Thank you, Will. The table was ready 5-10 minutes before our reservation time, and they seated us as we arrived. That was nice. A great table with a very nice waterfront view. Everyone was happy with their meals, ranging from entree salads to catfish to burgers. I can attest the mushroom Swiss burger is very good. Fries were excellent. And my side salad was simple, but fresh. All of their dressings are house made (a huge kudos in my book) Pricing is very reasonable, IMHO, without any gimmicky add-on fees. They do add a 20% tip for parties larger than eight. Very fair. We were able to split the check too, among the five couples. We all appreciated that. Our server, Denise, was super attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Her timing on checking on us was terrific. I 'tipped up' a few bucks on the final, to make it around 25%. Mrs D and I will be back to try the catfish, and probably a few other items. We rarely eat out, but the combo of solid food choices, value, service, and a waterfront atmosphere? How can we not? Lol

We were in town visiting a friend and she made lots of suggestions but we ended up here and I personally am thankful this is where we ended up at. Let me start off by saying that the staff is some of the friendliest folks I've met. We had a waitress who helped out our waitress and she did it with a smile. We ordered the chips, queso and salsa to start off with. At first glance the salsa looked like it was marinara sauce but it was actually good. The queso was a little thin but still good. We ordered a steak salad and a cheeseburger and both meals were good. The cherry limeade was delicious and seriously I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place. It's located on the water so you can sit outside and take in the views or sit inside and sit by the window and still have a beautiful view. Give 'em a try!

Food and view are amazing but the service sucks every time. It makes me sad cause it's so fun there. Foods not cheap so the service should be better.

Ordered Bacon Cheese burger; patty was dry and burnt. Ordered a side of onion rings and only got 3! service was decent. -Will Fincken

We had great food-buffalo chicken sandwich and fried catfish. Superb service. One request-the ladies' room needs a new exhaust fan.

First time here and the food was delicious and we had excellent customer service. From the moment we entered we were greeted with smiles and friendliness . I had the tortilla fried catfish which had a nice twist of sitting on a bed of queso which added such a good flavor. My husband had the Paul's chicken dish and he loved the flavor and crusted potato chips. And I can't forget about the fried onion tower.. yum! We sat on the patio so had a gorgeous view. I also enjoyed Kathie's sweet tea drink that was very refreshing while on a beautiful day sitting on the patio. Mandy provided us with excellent service!

I reviewed it four years ago as great, clean dinning room and bathrooms, great and friendly service. Good portions of good food. Great views. I eat there often. Needless to say I live in Marble Falls.

Nice lake view restaurant in marble fall, the price is very good for the portion of food. Most of the food is about $10 unless you go for steak. There's outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with large window with beautiful lake view. The service is very fast and attentive. I ordered calamari which are top with cheese powder which seems strange, it's also like a calamari fingers instead of rings. With cheese is not my favorite part. The fish taco came in three large pieces of taco with the two pieces of filet in each taco, huge portion. The green chili burger is juicy and has a good kick to it but the buns are soggy which needs some improvement.

I want to start by saying that the service here is probably the beat I've experienced since the pandemic began. In a world where so many restaurants are understaffed and waiters overwhelmed, the team here could not have been more attentive from the moment we sat down. There was no waiting for anything - they were incredibly intuitive and knew just when to check in with us and offer refills or bring extra napkins. 5 stars for the service. The food was pretty good which is why I'm giving 4 stars. I had a delicious green chili burger, but the calamari fell flat for me. I don't know why they sprinkled parmesan cheese on it. My recommendation would be to offer this on the side. Overall, solid option in Marble Falls with beautiful views over the lake. Sit outside when the weather is tolerable.

We stopped in here while on vacation to eat by the water and were not disappointed. The food was great. I got the famous pork chop and green beans and it was delicious. The atmosphere is great. We sat inside and still had great lakeside views. The parking was easy and even at prime time, we easily got a table. The staff was friendly but the service was disorganized and slow. That is the only reason we aren't giving it 5 stars.

I've never seen a shrimp I didn't like. And River City Grille did not disappointed in that regard. It's a varied menu here so just about anyone can find something they like. If it wasn't so blasted hot outside, sitting on the deck overlooking the lake would be tempting. Instead the two times I've been here we've chosen the comfort of the air conditioned dining room. Tables are still spread apart in COVID configuration, which allows for ease of service and privacy of conversations. Service is very good and very attentive. You won't want for much here. Five stars. It's my number one pick to eat at in town and It's been my go-to both of my last two trips to Marble Falls.

The view and the staff are great unfortunately the food isn't, with a few exceptions. The good: Pork Queso and drinks The bad: I had the chicken fried steak sandwhich or "The Dude", the batter on it just fell off and it was overly greasy and the steak itself was overcooked, rubbery and had no seasoning or flavor. The person I was with had the Chef Salad, it was big but disappointing and plain. The meat in the salad was literally generic packaged deli lunch meat rolled up and cut and placed on top. Maybe come in during the cooler days for views and drinks but avoid the food.

We sat outside overlooking the lake and it was so relaxing. Our waiter Damien was very attentive, constantly refilling our drinks and checking in on us. Onion Ring Tower was great - the batter had such great flavor, and that sauce! All our meals were wonderful, including the Skinny Rita (it might have been skinny but it packed a punch!)

Excellent food, service and views! We had the coconut shrimp, fried okra, macaroni & cheese, pork queso, allll the things and all were fantabulous! As you can see on this one's face, turtle cheesecake is a MUST! Def be back!

Terrible food good view! We are here in Marble Falls doing contract work. We are desperately looking for good restaurants. This one had good ratings so we chose to come to river city grill for the lake views and the supposed "good food". Wow were we disappointed. We ordered the queso/salsa and chips for starters, it tasted like Velveeta cheese with store bought salsa added to it, the separate bowl of salsa tasted ok. I had the chicken strips dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were cold and didn't taste like much, the green beans were saturated in water and tasted like they were straight from the can, brine and all. The chicken strips were good enough to eat one and the creamed gravy was like tasteless white hot jello pudding. My hubby ordered the chicken sandwich and as soon as he bit into it we were worried it was either undercooked, fake or old over-cooked chicken breast. It was very disappointing and disgusting. He couldn't take another bite. The server was great she tried her very best to do what was in her control and had her manager comp the sandwich and the queso and chips (due to the food taking almost an hour to come out to our table). We will not return. Not worth our time. We will drive to Lakeway for good food....unfortunately...

All I can say is wow..... I am surprised this place is still in business. I supposed the river view since it is awesome keeps this place afloat. The food was horrible. All 4 salads had wilted brown lettuce. The steak sandwich was probably the worst I have ever experienced. Iraq desert had more moisture that the sandwich. It too was served with brown lettuce and two rubbery slices of tomato. No condiments were served with it. The waitress was sweet and it was not her fault the food was crap. The margaritas were decent. On par with the local chain restaurant margaritas. Go to chilis which is next to this place.

From out of town and had gift certificates to use, so my wife chose the NY steak and I went for a traditional chicken fried steak. I must say that she chose the better entree by far. Her steak was prepared very nicely, the side dishes were tasty. My chicken fried steak was ok, but not notable for any reason. Our server was attentive too, responding every time we caught her attention. That made a nice element of the experience. The room decor is interesting enough and featured local history. There is outside seating, but we chose to be inside. It was a good thing we did. A thunderstorm came up as we were finishing the meal and stayed in the lobby area for about 20 minutes waiting for the worst of the storm to pass.

Fun & scenic place to take visitors to the area! We had a nice table on the deck and enjoyed the boats passing by. The food was great, and so was the service! The portions were ample! My three tacos were full sized, not street sized. I'm looking forward to my next Marble Falls trip to go again!

Food was good, but wait was horrible!! Service was slow too. Just be prepared. Im sure cuz staffing is terrible most places.

We had the traditional fried shrimp and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were fantastic. There were three and each one had an entire catfish fillet in it along with coleslaw and a very delicious remoulade sauce. The traditional fried shrimp was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were cooked properly. Very plump and juicy, and were accompanied by very delicious sides of mashed potatoes and string beans. We didn't have enough room for dessert but when we come back we're going to definitely try some of the delicious pies that we saw. If you like comfort food, this is your place. The food we saw it other tables looked absolutely spectacular. We saw a steak sandwiches the next table. That was an actual real steak with very delicious bread. Going to have to try that when we go back. Anyway, like I said, it's really good comfort food. Go get you some.

Wife and I were in town for a wedding. We stopped in for dinner and had a an excellent and delicious meal. The service was great even though we came in close. to closing time. We'd certainly come back.

Drinks and food have always been excellent. Service on point. Tonight Chris, Isahia and Zach at the bar were awesome. I would suggest some better TV's with some Chive TV for the locals which I met a few. Nice folks. No one wants to always watch sports or politics. We come here to relax and whine down. Perhaps some better advertising and staying open later would help this establishment grow. Just my two cents.
