Our Inspectors’ Favourites for Good Value in Newcastle upon Tyne
"Staith House’s younger sister sits on a steep street leading from the city’s castle down to the bustling quayside; the laid-back bistro style and rustic feel frame well-priced, gutsy small plates which showcase lesser-known British produce." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team
The river at this time of the year with the sun low in the western sky offers exceptional sky and water effects.

I love the Tyne, and so does our dog, Muffin ❤️ I'm proud to be a Northener - how lucky are we to have such a gorgeous place to wander round - within walking distance from home? 🤷🏼♀️ 🖤❤️🖤
Beautiful walk, with beautiful views - even on a not-so-nice day 💯%

Love the river, and the Sunday market. Had the chance to see the final Queens Baton relay arriving at Newcastle upon Tyne

I was not disappointed about the view, I was staying at a hotel close to the River Tyne and I decided to go on a little evening stroll and the Quayside was glistening in all these different colour. It was pretty spectacular.

Quite a beautiful view, even when it's raining. Must see if you visit the city.

The river Tyne is one of the cleanest there is, great for fishing, walking, yachting, pleasure craft outings or just a lovely day out.
