The food here is incredible. If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. The Chicken Niccola was so perfectly cooked that you could cut the chicken with a fork. We also had the Tiramisu, which was so light and melted in your mouth. And the rolls... don't get me started. This is hands down one of the best places that I have ever eaten at. The service was excellent as well. We will definitely be back next time we visit Little Rock.

Google
I love what they have done with the space here. The atmosphere is beautiful, warm and comfortable and the service is very friendly. The food was full of flavor with generous portions. I highly recommend the chicken marsala or the linguine clams. Both had wonderfully rich and flavorful sauces. The stuffed mushrooms were a bit pricey for the four you get but they were quite good. The bread is freshly baked and is perfect for soaking up any excess sauce.

Google
Nice atmosphere. Attire is more business casual+, we didn’t know and had on T’s and shorts. The food, the garlic knots were great. The pasta dishes lacked depth. We added salt and it helped some but they were a bit bland. I will say we hosted an Italian exchange student and real Italian is not as complex as southerners like to make it so it might be a ME problem. Kind people Ana great service.

Google
Some of my friends from work told me about the place, and it was definitely Worth it! It was busy on a Saturday night we had a table of 4, live piano in the background. Food was amazing! drinks were very good(Americana). Can’t wait to get back and try something else on the menu

Google
Great Spot for Any Occasion The only reason I’m not giving this restaurant 5 stars is because they could’ve given a few more meatballs—ha! That aside, everything else was top-notch: the price, atmosphere, and customer service were all excellent. Whether you're planning a fancy date or a family get-together, this place delivers a great experience. The food came out quickly, and the portions were solid. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for lunch and we were very impressed! I remember when it was a Chinese buffet, but the decor and atmosphere were really beautiful. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and toasted ravioli for appetizers, my husband had the pasta sampler and I had the chicken parmesan. For dessert I had the lemoncello cake and my husband had the chocolate cake! Everything was delicious and we can't wait to return!!!! ❤️

John White

Google
I absolutely love this restaurant vibe, food and service. The waitress was prompted with our order and our needs (ie, refills, appetizers etc). Quality food and moderate prices with someone playing the piano in the background. Very well played…

Google
This is my favorite place in North Little Rock. The food is stellar. I had the Chicken Niccola and that's my go-to every time. The tomato bisque soup is delicious. And their bread knots are perfect. It's incredibly heavy food, but if you like pasta (and if you're starving), this is a the best place in town. The service is wonderful. They bring you Parmesan as needed with your pasta. The atmosphere is lovely. There is a live piano player and plants in the back group to create a lovely ambiance. Would recommend!

Yelp
Food is always great. Love the sampler and the seafood pasta. New location is really nice. They have a pianist.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come check out Rivera for a while and finally got the chance to last night. The ambiance feels classy inside, with soft lighting, Italian scenes and wine bottle decor as well as having a live pianist which is a really nice touch. Unfortunately that's where the good things end due to the 20 dollar entrees that are really only worth 13-14. The waiter greeted us at the table and asked for a drink order as soon as we were sitting. I asked for a beer but since he was handing me the menu we needed a moment to look and he said I'll bring waters first. Which is fine but if you're going to bring water and then take the order(which is expected) just do that in the first place! Also strange, our meals were brought out on a cart, with other diners dirty plates on top, and our dinner needed to be grabbed from the lower shelf near the floor. Not a good look. The food was just ok, came out warm not hot. The marinara is a very sweet sauce and didn't pair well with the eggplant parm that should be crunchy on the outside and warm and moist on the inside, and for 20 dollars, this was not. Soggy eggplant. I had the chicken Marsala which I did enjoy but again, not worth 20 dollars. It was delicious but portion and sauce amount should have been more for that price. When the bill arrived the waiter looked at the bill with me over my shoulder and noticed he forgot to ring in a beer. I joked hey thanks, gave him my card, and talked about even though the food was mediocre, leaving an extra good tip. When he came back he added the extra beer. Very unprofessional to show the bill then to come back, charging the card to something different. Overall I don't think we'll be back, just real tough service, and food that doesn't quite live up to its prices.

Yelp
The food is delicious. I ordered the spaghetti works and cheese bread. It also came with complimentary bread rolls that were so good. The restaurant was very classy and clean. And the service was top notch. Very nice and able to describe all the dishes to you. This is definitely a must try if you are in Little Rock.

Yelp
Located in a small strip plaza was very surprised/ impressed how nice it is on the inside! They definitely tried to elevate it. Service was great, waiter was very sweet. The food was delicious and you can tell it was fresh made with quality ingredients. They serve you free garlic knots which I ordered a side of Alfredo for dipping ($5 for a whole crock). Had the chicken Marsala as the entree. Sauce was very flavorful. No complaints here.

Craig B.

Yelp
Very disappointed given the reviews. Dinner with my wife. Pros. Attractive dining area, pleasant ambiance and live piano. Prompt, friendly service. Nice basket of warm rolls brought right after seating. Cons. Very limited wine selection. No sparkling water. No olive oil for the rolls and only butter available was individual pre-packaged butter like you get at Waffle House. Mozzarella in the caprese appetizer was not fresh or light, but very dense. Meal pacing way too rushed. Entrées came when we were halfway through our salad/appetizers. Chicken piccata was ho hum. Penne bolognese was best of items we ate. No dessert ordered given poor food quality. Hard to imagine returning.

Yelp
Back in town and returned to Rivera again. They have made some good interior changes like cloth napkins and no more vinyl table clothes. Our server on a Sunday afternoon was very warm and hospitable. Their free bread offering was better compared last time when it was a bit doughy. Alfredo sauce on the side was tasty. We had two chicken parmigiana and one eggplant parmigiana with side salads. Everything was hot, portions were great and it was well executed. I like this place as it's not overpriced, the food is solid and the service was excellent. If the only had espresso it'll put it over the top IMHO.

Yelp
Traveling home our hotel suggested this place. Short wait for this cute small place. Food very good. I ordered Lasagna. They seemed to forget our order after our appetizer. We waited and waited. Our waitress said , when we asked, they got backed up due to call in orders. Nope, didn't buy it. Tables that came in after us , got food and were done. We were compensated by free dessert. I keep telling myself to speak up sooner if it seems to be taking too long!

Yelp
Such a great meal. We were questioning the reviews when we arrived since it's a pretty small place in a strip mall. The food was fantastic and the menu was extensive. We all tried something different and everyone was happy with their choices. The desserts were all fabulous too. Prices and service were on point

Yelp
Excellent option in N. Little Rock. Location is in a seriously nondescript strip center near a Walmart. Inside you will find white table cloths, nice music, and an extensive menu. We ordered the bolognese and primavera. Both came with a side of soup or salad. Really very good. The pasta was cooked perfect al dente. The Chianti by the glass was good, which surprised me. Excellent and friendly service by Peyton. As a traveler I'm not sure what is in the area, but locals should be happy this Italian option is in their hood.

Veronica L.

Yelp
My ratings continue to slip each time we go, as something continues to slip each time at the restaurant. We ate there Friday night 2-28, and the food was delicious but not hot. The NY pizza guy brought out our food along with that of another table who ordered after us and we speculate that our plates sat there waiting for the 3 other meals to be ready, as a result our food was no longer hot and not nearly as enjoyable as it should have been. The one nice addition was the live piano music. We ended up going somewhere else for dessert.

Yelp
The new location is just what they needed, more space!! The ambiance and noise levels are perfect. Feels like little Italy! The food was perfecto! We all had something different and not a return! Delicioso!

Yelp
Great food, prices ,drinks and our Server Joanne was great I recommend this place 5 out of 5

Yelp
We were in Little Rock for the weekend and the family wanted Italian. We chose Rivera based on reviews and are we glad we did! The shop is unassuming but once you walk in, you know you're in an Italian restaurant. The interior is very relaxing and inviting. We were seated quickly by a very nice hostess. I went to wash my hands in their restroom which was very nice and clean (I know weird detail but really appreciated) . Upon my return, I saw a basket of rolls they had brought out; the rolls were homemade and legit. We ordered calamari and cheese garlic bread for appetizers. For entrees, we had the kids Alfredo fettuccine, bolognese and loaded spaghetti. They were all wonderful, especially the bolognese which my wife rated one of two best in the 'States. For desert, we split a limoncello cake which was superb. To top it off, the check was very reasonable. The serving size for the food was large (we all finished about a 1/3 of each of our entrees and appetizers). Oh, and their soup, a basil tomato, and Caesar salad were amazing, too! We definitely will return next time we are in Little Rock. Thanks, Riveras!!

Yelp
The service was amazing and so was the food! They definitely need a bigger building but I have no doubt that they are well on their way to getting that at the rate they are going. The air conditioning was terrible but the food and service were so good, it didn't even matter. I will definitely be back, preferably in the winter though.

Lee D.

Yelp
Our entrees were great and reasonably priced and the service was excellent ( it was our waiter's 1st week ). White tablecloths, cozy nook out of the bustle of the dining room. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
So delicious. I've lived in NLR since 2009 and I've never known this restaurant existed but I am so glad I found it. It is small and intimate, and the service and food were 10/10. I had the lasagna and my child has the spaghetti and meatballs. The portions were generous. My husband enjoyed the chicken parm. The rolls that they bring out were amazing and their red sauce was so flavorful. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is so good . The food has so much flavor and homemade fresh pasta so delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter was so attentive and helpful. It was New Years Eve and they were so busy but it was still a great experience highly recommend this restaurant for real Italian food .

Yelp
This is my first time writing something like this, but our experience with this restaurant is something that needs to be aware of. On Father's Day we treated our dad to a meal here at this restaurant. After ordering, I decided to go up the server's stand and let him know that I wanted to secretly go ahead and paid for MY table where I sat. We were sitting in the back room, the first table on the left, I let him know that there was one man and also had a baby. I gave him this info. The waiter then pulls up a tab. I saw that for drinks it said coke, but I know that my sister had ordered a Dr Pepper. He told me "yeah we just put that for all the sodas" okay, I thought, because as someone who has worked in the food industry, I know that it could all mean the same. I payed for what I thought was my ticket, and sat back down. The amount was 246.38 I even tipped 40-which is normal to us because we have a relatively large family. Food came, we ate, they even brought us to go boxes. When we finished I told my parents and siblings that we can go ahead and leave because. I had already covered the bill. We get up to go leave, as of yet nothing has happened. When I'm walking through the door, the owner and the server come running to stop me and I am called back into the restaurant. The same server then tells me that they have not paid for my ticket. I am confused as to what he meant because I did? He then tells me, that I paid for ANOTHER table and that I have yet to pay for my table. I told him that I want to pay for my table and no one else's. He was apologetic because he "thought I must've known the other people" and told me he would speak to the owner about this situation. I made the mistake of paying again, this time for my ticket,, which only came out to being to 200 ( yes, I STILL tipped). In my head I'm thinking, okay I paid my table I just new them to refund me for the previous charge- easy right? No. The server then came back and told me that the owner says that this is not his problem because he doesn't know what happened and that it was a mistake between me and the waiter and that I would have to come back between 10-15 days because he knew the people that were at the other table. He said he would let the people know what happened and to have the pay for their ticket. Mind you, I don't even know these people or their names. They said I would have to wait to get MY money because the restaurant needs ITS money first. I should've have said no. I could even caused a a scene and called the police, the server claimed his mistake and I wanted my money back because once again, I don't know these people. Anyways I played dumb and decided to come back today, two week's from Father's Day. When I went in there the owner sat down with me and my mother and proceeded to tell me that they still don't have my money, it's not his (owner) fault and one again, the restaurants needs its money before they can give me any money. You mean MY money?? He then brought the waiter in and the owner said that this was a "learning experience" for me and the waiter. He told me that they could give me half of my money and the waiter can pay me the rest of the amount. What? The owner wasn't the person with my money, the restaurant is! I left instead because I'm not taking money from someone that isn't mine- EXACTLY what they did. The whole situation was unprofessional in the way it was handled by the owner.

Yelp
New location about 6 weeks ago. A hidden gem! Everything about this restaurant is lovely! We were greeted right away when we walked in. The decor takes you back to Italy. There are cloth tablecloths on the table and cloth napkins. The food is delicious! I had salmon piccata and my husband had chicken pasta and both were very large dishes and delicious . We could have taken the leftovers home but we were traveling and had no way to keep them cool. The hot rolls were house made and brought to the table hot. Yum! Overall, we will definitely be back when we travel through Arkansas again. We had Jason as our waiter and he was friendly and attentive.

Marci P.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!! I turned to my faithful Yelp community to find a unique restaurant and I am thrilled! And - like some said - do not let the outside fool or deter you because this is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is so unique. It's like you stepped inside of an upscale Italian sidewalk cafe. It's clean and modern. The service was good and everyone was welcoming. If we lived local we'd be back!
google avatar

Zad D.

Yelp
Food was pretty meh. Ordered pasta and my partner liked but didn't love it. The Caesar salad was a watery mayo mess - no flavor, wilted lettuce and no flavor. The chicken was good and the meatballs tasted frozen and tossed in tomato sauce. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND! Save your 80 dollars

Graciela B.

Yelp
Rivera is one my favorites restaurante in the area Always friendly service, very attentive and the cherry of the cake best Italian food, fresh and full of flavor!!! Thank you and congratulations the new place is great!!!
google avatar

Don H.

Yelp
Biggest waste of $25. I got a salad with salmon....for the price, I expected something a little more substantial but that's not what I got. The greens were extremely wilted and The rolls were hard as can be and pretty tasteless. The only thing that was good out of this whole experience was the salmon but I can cook my own salmon and buy a Walmart salad and spend a whole bunch less for a whole lot more. I do not even remotely recommend this place.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! An unassuming exterior, its warm, cozy and nice inside. With jazz music playing and comfortable seating they have a good menu for different pastas. I really enjoyed my carbonara, eating way more than I thought I would! Each entrée comes either a side salad or cup of house soup. I liked the house dressing of a tomato vinaigrette. Our waitress was lovely and attentive and the food came out quickly. I also enjoyed my cannoli!

Yelp
Checked this place out on a late Friday afternoon with my spouse and daughter. I had read all of the positive reviews and thought I should check the place out. We were seated pretty soon after we arrived and our waiter came pretty quickly. The people continued to be kind enough and the atmosphere was nice enough. Nothing happened that went particularly poorly or badly. Even though there were no issues with the customer service, I didn't actually like any of the food we ordered. Usually, I am a big fan of Italian food. And in my opinion, it seemed like the restaurants menu and its ingredients could use some refreshing. Everything just tasted a bit off and the food wasn't flavored as well as some other restaurants I've tried. I think this business could do more. They have a lot of the right pieces but it's not quite a home run.
google avatar

Sonya O.

Yelp
I'd rather go to Olive Garden. The fettuccine has a sweet finish and the Alfredo was water downed. The bread was dense. The service was slow. We won't be back!
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
I had stopped here in June while passing through and it was so good that I again booked a nearby hotel just to visit again. This is a true gem. Giovanni, the owner, remembered me and gave me some recommendations. Decisions, decisions! Finally decided on Shrimp and Mussel Diablo and it was epic. Lots of large shrimp and mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. Price was right too.
google avatar

Mary Jo M.

Yelp
Our dinners were amazing. Don't let The outside of the building fool you, it warm and cozy inside. Our waitress was great! Fresh warm garlic bread.

Robert O.

Yelp
We used to go to their old location and after a 2 month trip out of town, we decided to visit their new location. As we entered we were transported to a beautiful restaurant in a major metro area (Chicago, NYC, MIA) but without having to leave home. Next we were immediately served with the greatest fresh rolls. Order a side of garlic sauce and upgrade them to outstanding garlic rolls. Started with a very good tomato basil soup and the stuffed mushrooms on an amazing red sauce similar to the soup but creamier. Wife ordered the veal parmigiana. She loved it. I chose my traditional favorite, Chicken Genovese. G.O.A.T! This was the best Italian meal I ever had. And, at 79, I haven to a lot of Italian restaurants, including the fact that I lived in Italy for about 6 months and the out of town trip mentioned above included various cities in Italy. We finished our meal with a great Tiramisu. Lastly, but not the least, our waiter Jason enhanced our meal by providing excellent service. He came back various times to make sure we lacked nothing.

Pat G.

Yelp
It's a little small but the food and service was great. I will definitely come back. I recommend the lasagna.

Nicole T.

Yelp
Quaint restaurant tucked in a busy small strip mall. Almost would expect it to be a takeout spot. The place has limited seating but service is quick. However, if you do get seated, it's okay. Soft music, pleasing esthetically. However as for the food, Nothing authentic here. Garlic bread was good. Everything else I ordered taste like it came out of freezer or can. Calamari was not very pleasing. It was chewy and tasteless. Ordered the seafood combo with red sauce and the mussels were not clean or fresh. Pasta was just boxed pasta or at least tasted like it. Not sure I would have even been greeted if it weren't for the customer ahead of me who is a regular of which I had a pleasant conversation with while waiting in a closed entrance wait room where it was pretty hot and stuffy. Since the place was so crowded and it was only me, he offered to sit with him and his guest. That was really nice. I probably would not return. Food and neither service seemed to hit for me.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Garlic bread didn't have flavor and neither did the pasta I got. The shrimp tasted like they were boiled and thrown in with no seasoning. Food needs more flavor. The salt and pepper on the table can only do so much. No complaints about the service itself or the ambiance.
google avatar

Vicki N.

Yelp
I saw rave reviews about Rivera on google, so I had to check it out. We went on a Friday around 5:30pm, and it was busy! We were able to get a table right away, but after that, there would probably be a wait. We ordered the calamari and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. My sister also ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. All three dishes were very good. I mixed my fettuccine with the spaghetti, and it was amazing. For the bread, make sure you ask for their garlic olive oil to dip. It's sooooo good!! It has a bunch of Italian herbs and seasonings and fresh garlic. Service was super friendly. Can't wait to come back
google avatar

Kecia S.

Yelp
Delicious food with so many options and friendly service! Yes, it is small, but it was decorated nicely and it just made it feel more personal. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Elijah G.

Yelp
classy, great food, good service, and the ambiance is very calm. Food comes out relatively quick. But do make sure you make a reservation, you wait time can vary if you just walk in.

Brian O.

Yelp
Great place to visit and enjoy. Been going many years and food and drinks are great. Staff is consistently and considerate. Owners are nice and take care of everything.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Service is amazing, food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Great place for date night or for dinner with friends.

Peggy M.

Yelp
Amazing! Thank you Rivera for your North Little Rock commitment. We will definitely be back!

Donald H.

Yelp
This is a great place. The food was good and you got a lot of it. The only down side is the space. It's really really Small and we had a party of 4 so it felt a bit claustrophobic.

Holly W.

Yelp
The food, the service, the atmosphere. . . Spectacular! New location is beautiful. Can't wait to come back!

Richard S.

Yelp
Great food and service, overall an excellent and surprisingly good stop on our way through town!

Dale P.

Yelp
Although the food was good our service was the worst. It is not possible to rate negative stars but that is what is needed to reflect the horrible service. It was like we were invisible or someones second thought.
google avatar

Janine Q.

Yelp
This is a true hidden gem in North Little Rock! I highly recommend. My husband, daughter and I were beyond satisfied with our meals. I loved the lobster ravioli. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, and it had a tomato bisque sauce over them. I did t mind it, but that's not what we are used to, so if you don't want the sauce make sure to tell them. It is very tasty though!
google avatar

Nicho C.

Yelp
First I wanted to start off by saying the food was great, nice restaurant in a iffy location with great ambiance. As I walked in I was met by the owner. Who wasn't welcoming towards us what so ever. Maybe it was the fact that we're a group of young adults (19-21) or the fact that some of us were in hoodies (with them down of course). For a while there we were watching as tables would get people very often get asked how things were and get conversation from a variety of staff but we were passed up on. Except for one man a water server named payton very welcoming he wasn't our waiter but he made sure he stopped and talked to us and we let him know that we appreciated it. He's a good man . And that's the end of my story . Follow us next time as we'll go in with suits and expect better service.

Jerrry R.

Yelp
The food is fantastic! Sicilian that is often hard to find. The place is small, so get there early or late for a table. They are moving in December to a larger facility that should help. Service was very good and surprisingly affordable prices.
google avatar

Cindy A.

Yelp
Odd location right behind the McCain Blvd Burger King drive-through. Parking is an issue when they are super busy. Lovely and classy inside, dim lighting, comfortable ambiance. Chicken Niccola was outstanding! Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken also a winner! I chose a Caesar side salad with one dish, and the Caesar dressing was overly sweet, tasted nothing like authentic Caesar, not good at all. It could be made in-house, and they were having an off night, who knows. Ordered minestrone soup with the other pasta dish, it was hot and flavorful but borderline mushy as if that it had been made waaay earlier in the day. Biggest disappointment was the bread....first basket of 3 lovely golden brown jewels were hard and spongey. I assumed had been sitting for a while under a light. So I specifically asked my wonderful, friendly, attentive waitress, "Can I please have another basket of hot FRESH rolls?" But what she brought me was exactly the same warm staleness. I adore hot, fresh Italian rolls so this was a big negative for me. The house-made Tiramisu amazing and I highly recommend! Oh almost forgot, seems like they were "out of" many normal supplies. I could hear a waiter behind me tell a customer that they were out of Parmesan cheese. When I asked for a to-go box, I was told they were out of the large ones so they brought me several tiny ones and brought me a to-go drink cup for my minestrone soup because they were out of to-go soup containers. I'm looking forward to going back, but this time I'll make sure and have an early dinner so as to get fresh rolls!

Bruce B.

Yelp
Family like with great consistency in Good Food Owners are nice and I believe it's the Lemon Dessert that sealed the deal!

Yelp
We came on a weeknight and are glad we did. We had Chicken Niccola and Spaghetti Works with meatballs as well as the cannoli. Oh and nice tomato basil soup! Service was friendly, welcoming and attentive in just the right ways with fresh bread as needed. Everything was tasty and we will return. Thank you, Rivera Italian!

Michael K.

Yelp
Don't let the outside fool you. This place is amazing. Price is fair for what you get. Nice staff.
