This is my first time writing something like this, but our experience with this restaurant is something that needs to be aware of. On Father's Day we treated our dad to a meal here at this restaurant. After ordering, I decided to go up the server's stand and let him know that I wanted to secretly go ahead and paid for MY table where I sat. We were sitting in the back room, the first table on the left, I let him know that there was one man and also had a baby. I gave him this info. The waiter then pulls up a tab. I saw that for drinks it said coke, but I know that my sister had ordered a Dr Pepper. He told me "yeah we just put that for all the sodas" okay, I thought, because as someone who has worked in the food industry, I know that it could all mean the same. I payed for what I thought was my ticket, and sat back down. The amount was 246.38 I even tipped 40-which is normal to us because we have a relatively large family. Food came, we ate, they even brought us to go boxes. When we finished I told my parents and siblings that we can go ahead and leave because. I had already covered the bill. We get up to go leave, as of yet nothing has happened. When I'm walking through the door, the owner and the server come running to stop me and I am called back into the restaurant. The same server then tells me that they have not paid for my ticket. I am confused as to what he meant because I did? He then tells me, that I paid for ANOTHER table and that I have yet to pay for my table. I told him that I want to pay for my table and no one else's. He was apologetic because he "thought I must've known the other people" and told me he would speak to the owner about this situation. I made the mistake of paying again, this time for my ticket,, which only came out to being to 200 ( yes, I STILL tipped). In my head I'm thinking, okay I paid my table I just new them to refund me for the previous charge- easy right? No. The server then came back and told me that the owner says that this is not his problem because he doesn't know what happened and that it was a mistake between me and the waiter and that I would have to come back between 10-15 days because he knew the people that were at the other table. He said he would let the people know what happened and to have the pay for their ticket. Mind you, I don't even know these people or their names. They said I would have to wait to get MY money because the restaurant needs ITS money first. I should've have said no. I could even caused a a scene and called the police, the server claimed his mistake and I wanted my money back because once again, I don't know these people. Anyways I played dumb and decided to come back today, two week's from Father's Day. When I went in there the owner sat down with me and my mother and proceeded to tell me that they still don't have my money, it's not his (owner) fault and one again, the restaurants needs its money before they can give me any money. You mean MY money?? He then brought the waiter in and the owner said that this was a "learning experience" for me and the waiter. He told me that they could give me half of my money and the waiter can pay me the rest of the amount. What? The owner wasn't the person with my money, the restaurant is! I left instead because I'm not taking money from someone that isn't mine- EXACTLY what they did. The whole situation was unprofessional in the way it was handled by the owner.
