Fast & friendly service, hot & satisfying food.

I had 3 soft tacos, 1 each of carnitas, pastor, and a buche. I told them para aqui, but after a long wait, they gave me the order packaged to go! The tacos did taste pretty good, but pretty greasy too.

Good food at good prices. Service was fast and friendly. They got the order right and were quick. I really liked everything. Fresh sour cream also. Big plus. Salsa was a bit hot but so tasty. I used 3 cups and they give you alot. The veggies were also fresh cut, Cucumbers and carrots. Nice choice tonight. Will be back soon.

Came here for the first time today and it was tasty. You can walk up to the window to order and they take cash and card. Ordered the California burrito ($7), Super nachos ($8), and 4 lengua tacos ($7) to share with my family. The wait was less than 10min around 5pm-ish. Staff was wearing masks and gloves and was helpful when I had questions. The actual food has a lot of flavor. The burrito had a good mix of fries, meat, cheese and sour cream. The nachos were also tasty, but the only downside was that by the time I came home they got soggy, and I live less than 5 minutes away. The tacos were well seasoned and just a good old street taco with meat, cilantro and onions. I also have to say that I'm not a fan of spicy food, but they give a free side of jalepeno pickled carrots with cucumber that was SO good and fresh. Overall, a nice mom and pop store with good variety. Prices are higher than what is listed on their take away menu, with things mostly in the $7+ range. $10ish for shrimp items. Definitely want to go back and try some of their other things.

Love this place. Good food, affordable, and GREAT customer service. The family is awesome.

They were so welcoming and when I got a wet burrito and asked for the sauce in a container they put it in a coffee cup in a small bag. They are so kind and smart! You gotta love them and try their Mr Burrito as well!

Tasty tacos and affordable. Salsa is good too. Horchata had too much cinnamon. Hot sauce could be spicier. Needs guacamole on menu.

The best customer service, great, and clean . Good vibes environment. The food here is very tasty. Reminds me of my hometown Mexico. I always come here for breakfast burritos as well as their Menudo and other items of the menu that are fantastic. This place has been hit or miss over the years as a matter of fact I'm sure I already did a favorable review on this place but no sir not after this one. If you have an off day and don't make it the same each time but when you start adding things I didn't ask for like finger nails no thanks.

Drive by here and decided to stop. You basically have a window outside and order what you want. There are a few tables outside but that's it. No indoor seating which is fine. I ordered some tacos. I tried asada, cabeza, tripa, and buche. My favorite were the cabeza and tripa. So good!!! I really enjoyed the taco as and also tried horchata. Only thing I wish would be better is the salsa. It had zero spice and it wasn't flavorful. But the guy that worked there was really nice! Food was hot and lots of meat. I recommend this location!!

I visited Rivera tacos often, they know my order and they know I pay for everything I want this time. I paid again for sour cream but didn't get it in my burrito went back to show him, I open My burrito a sour cream wasn't there. I went back to show them and The guy was so mean to me he slammed the window in my face through the little cup of sour cream at me. It was pathetic. I go there often i'm really nice all the time. My son loved their Fish Taco Wednesday. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN EVER!!! LET US BOYCOTT THIS BUSINESS. SO NOT EAT AT RIVERA TACO IN LONG BEACH. AS HARD AS TIME IS NOW. EVERY SINGLE BUSINESS NEEDS TO APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMERS

Sorry to say but service is bad here. I had two bad experiences here. One is late at night and they said they are closed even though its 945 pm. Still 15 minutes left til 10. Second one is early evening. I pulled up and I stood there for a good 10 minutes waiting for service. The cook was eating at the back. He saw me but kept on eating. I know you're on your lunch break but he could at least called out to the attendant. Granted food is good, but I'm not going to waste my time waiting. And both instances I was ordering to go.

Worst breakfast burrito I've seen in a long time. The burrito was 90% those frozen hash brown potatoes. Super soggy and greasy. Some cheap goopy white cheese, 1 scrambled egg with 3 pieces of rock hard bacon. I wish I didn't throw it out right away so I could have taken a picture of this disaster. $8 down the drain and I'm still hungry I gave two stars because the lady was very nice and parking is very convenient.

Good burritos and pozole but the menu photos on yelp need to be updated. The breakfast burrito has more than doubled in price

My favorite neighborhood spot for Mexican food. My go to items are the chile relleno burrito/plate, fish tacos, and the horchata. We usually call our order in and it's ready for pickup in ~ 10 minutes. There are many Mexican options in this area but this one is my go-to.

We came for a quick breakfast on a Wednesday morning since hubby was craving a breakfast burrito. There's a small dedicated parking lot in front of the stand and an outdoor seating area next to the place. But because of Covid, it's locked up at the moment. He got a breakfast burrito with chorizo and I tried the chilaquiles with egg. Food was nice and hot. Very generous portions for the price. Both red and green salsas it came with were pretty good too. The only thing I didn't like about my dish was the egg was a little too overcooked for me. Otherwise the flavor of the chilaquiles was good. Credit card is accepted but not sure if they charge a fee to do so. Overall, we'd come back to try something else.

Food is GOOD!! It's one of the best Mexican restaurants for better quality in the area. Don't go to ANY Super Mex, don't go to LOS Compadres in Norwalk or in Anaheim in Long Beach- go here. Riveras used to be a Casa Sanchez and pretty much all the Casa Sanchez's in Long Beach are good, except the one on Cherry by South Street- haven't been there in a while (5 years) so maybe things changed.

If you are NOT Mexican it's probably a waste of time :( The vibe is real racist.

Food was amazing, gave me the food right away. Customer service is top notch everything about this restaurant is great. Very nice cleaning area, everything again is top notch.

Soooooo long story short. Ate here twice. Got food poisoning twice! Why did I go a 2nd time. Well I think I got sick cause I was already feeling sick. Needed comfort food. Mexican food is my comfort. But than months later went back. O M G .... NOPE NEVER AGAIN! I thought I was dying!

The service was good but the attitude of the workers was okey. The food it's good lots of variety of foods but the service from the staff poor, and the atmosphere it's okay' 'l ll check it out in about two weeks see if the staff will change.

To avoid traffic I took Atlantic Ave. Best choice possible because I came across Rivera's Tacos. I ordered the Chile relleno burrito. The cheese stuffing was soo good. The service was super nice and since the location is right in the corner it's easy to park and drive up. You can tell this is a neighborhood taco spot but súper worth the try. If you want more flavor or spice I also recommend the grilled chiles.

This place is fire!! They have great food and it's pretty fast! They also have good prices. While it may be a little in the hood those are the best spots lol. Get their tacos or Enchiladas. Parking can be tough at time but other than that it's worth checking out 100%! 5 Stars !

I live close by & this is my go to spot. The tacos are fire, make sure to ask for grilled jalapenos, its fire. I've had the shrimp tacos & burrito, milanesa torta, carnitas & asada burritos, fries, & lengua tacos = fire!! I dont get it all the time but when I dont feel like cooking & want authentic food, this is the place for me. I saw some reviews say the staff is rude but I've never experienced that in the 4 years I have here. They have messed up my order but its always fixed with a smile on their face. Maybe it's a language barrier thing & they're coming off as rude idk but they're great with me

Omg I love this place!! It's a hole in the wall so everything is homemade and delicious. I have tried all of the Mexican food on this menu and let me tell you that's you cannot go wrong with anyone you choose. The staff is always warm and helpful when you can't make up your mind on what to eat

I'm in love specially there breakfast I love it I don't do restaurants like that but this caught my attention now I been going over a month already everyday Saturday I'm there the lady is so nice she makes sure we have everything from utensils to sauces her coffee is extremely hot just how my dad likes it of course that's him he ask for it extra hot but I love it I totally recommend

This is now our go to taco stand. The carne asada with the cheese fries tacos is spot on. They food is well prepared and is delicious. We always call in our orders and out food is ready and waiting. Don't let the location turn you away due to the area, the people working are great.

Bomb ass breakfast burritos. Great value. Kind workers. Consistent flavor. Spicy salsa. What kore can you ask for? Recommend calling ahead since they usually have a line

Authentic Mexican food at great prices. Not the fastest service but the quality and value more than makes up for the extra 5-10 min wait during busy hours.

The food was delicious I got a Brito my friend got enchiladas and my boyfriend got a hamburger he thought it was the best burger he had in a long time we also had loaded fry's and they are huge you could split them 4 ways and not need to eat anything else u will all be full from just the fry's

I'm giving this place one star the food is good ..they are sooo rude it's been a couple times where they forget something on my order and every time I call they are behind rude !! The person in change just get over it stop complaining over fries

I ordered a breakfast burrito today. I was going in for another bite and saw a gross piece of hair in the egg. So unwrapped the burrito to examine the rest. There as a whole dead ant in the cheese, and half an ant in another part of the burrito. I was close by so I returned. The staff looked in the bag with the contaminated burrito parts and they started making me a new one. I said I would rather have my money back, obviously. They said no, "no one else had the same complaint" and they wouldn't refund me. Bad cleanliness standards and service.

Very good ceviche, the best part was the chips, fresh, corny, crispy and light. I would come back just for the chips and tostadas. The burritos were also very good. Service was slow on the rainy night we were there even though it looked deserted, that's because people were waiting in their vehicles or walked up to take-out. Prices were friendly and helpful. I don't know what dine in would be like since it's just a covered patio and it was raining that night so the patio was empty. If in the neighborhood, I would definitely get take-out from here again. Thank you.

Tried this place for the first time and it was amazing ... carne asada burrito with everything oh yes!!! I will definitely come back and it was worth the drive .. it's fast and quick and everyone enjoyed their meal

My car was at a nearby auto shop getting repairs, so I decided to walk the streets and noticed this place. Ordered their bean burrito. I like it. Mostly mashed pinto beans. Very big. Only $3, including tax. Tried their pollo tacos; they were decent.

MenudoI became a customer of Rivera's Tacos 5498 Atlantic Ave in 2018 before Covid 19. They are not the best food but not bad either. One day during the Pandemic I went there for food and the son of the owner was there helping prepare the food orders. For some reason he pulled his mask down off his face and I called him on it. He was very rude and I told him you can cause your dad a problem in his business but he continued to be rude. I told them I would contact Environmental Services. I made the call because that was the second time someone called the cooks on mask wearing. Today I was refused service for treating them bad a year ago during the pandemic. Fine but haven't enough lives been lost and9pm many sick. They told my husband they would not service me but WHAT WRONG did I do. If we as a people going to do business don't just do it for the MONEY but care about your customers. I learned a long time ago that the customer isn't always right but be truthful and fair.

Always bomb, never fails. Best quesadillas. Great tripa tacos. Salsa, pina drink on point. Headed there now as a matter of fact

Local favorite, close to home! We always get the #9, super quesadilla with asada. It's huge. Size is like a medium pizza. Employees are friendly, price is cheap, and I enjoy their outdoor seating. Great place for a quick and yummy dinner!

Saw that this place had good reviews so wanted to try it. Got there and it was pretty busy, so I took it as a good sign. They got my order wrong, didn't notice til I got home. The taco meat is pretty good, the tortillas are stale. The grilled cheese is terrible. Super stale like they lightly grilled it then nuked it in the microwave til it just got hard..my kid couldn't bite into it...the enchilada sauce is pretty bad

We came here for to-go order. We called and placed an order head of time for two burritos, one traditional and one california burrito. We also got a drink and some fries. The burritos were really great! The california burrito had crunchy fries and al pastor (requested) inside. They were large size burritos and the prices were affordable. The staff was really nice and friendly. All staff were wearing PPE and very clean. They also provide free hand sanitizer at the order counter. Overall, I would definitely come back again to support this establishment.

Love this place! Love the family that owns it. My husband is a chef and we eat here weekly. It's a nice local place that has consistently good food. The owners are very nice and have always been good to us. Our dogs make us share our carnitas with them. They know our order almost by heart at this point.

This spot is a little rough around the edges and in a sketchy area. But food was really good. Service was great and friendly. They were quick with prep and also gave a bunch of cucumbers and carrots with lots of salsa and limes etc. the carne was seasoned really good and was tasty. I got the mr burrito which has everything incl a little lettuce and sour cream. It was really good. Gotta go back and check out some other stuff.

Best breakfast burrito, steak and eggs, oh my stomach is singing. Best staff too. Always smiling, even early winter mornings when it's freezing. Thanks guys for being there for me when I really needed you.
