Riverbank revived its downtown market with evening hours on Santa Fe Street. Local news coverage and market listings confirm the return, drawing family vendors, hot food, and live music a short drive from Modesto.

This was my first time at this market. They had music. A couple of food options. We went with pizza which was not bad. Everyone seemed pretty laid back and it felt semi festive for a Tuesday night. Not to sure if I would go back.

Great place to come for a evening outing. Lots of families. Great variety of vendors. I came from Manteca to pick up a item from a vendor and everyone was very friendly. Good parking I didnt have to walk far at all. Highly recommend attending.

Yelp
The Riverbank Farmers Market... There may be less produce than Modesto, but more than Oakdale. The Riverbank market makes up for that with live music or DJ, lots of food choices, and a fun atmosphere. You can find tacos, tamales, burgers, hot links, nachos, beef jerky, and drinks. It's a good place to meet friends and family and support the vendors who were hit hard by the shut down. There was strawberries, cherries, beets, peaches, fresh flowers, and succulents among the choices. Four stars for less produce than Modesto, but maybe that will change it's still early in the season. I also like that it's an evening market versus a morning like Modesto.

Yelp
The weather has been great the last week or so...84-92 degrees. So, hubby, a friend, and I rode our bikes to the farmers market this past Wednesday...about 6 miles round trip. If you haven't been to the market all summer, the cooler weather makes for the perfect time to go, not to mention, the veggie season is winding down and that means dirt cheap prices on veggies for you and me! They had gray zucchini 8 for $1... that's crazy cheap!! And eggplant $0.50 each! I only brought a small backpack so I couldn't even get 8 zucchini's so I got 4 for $0.50 plus two eggplant...I spent a whopping $1.50 for food that will last through at least four meals :) Can't complain about that now can I? And we all felt good about ourselves for supporting local farmers, getting excercise and leaving less of a carbon footprint since we rode our bikes rather than drive a car.
