Riverside Grille

We went on a Saturday evening early(after 6 the place was filling up) and had a wonderful dining experience. Our server Chrissy was wonderful as was our food and the atmosphere. This is one of the nicest looking restaurants in Beaumont if not the nicest. Everything was prepared perfectly. If you have not been you should go.

Our server Joe was super attentive and polite. Appetizers were great. The dip trio was really delicious. The strawberry lemonade was delicious. Ribs were good as well as the sweet potatoes. We will return. Good food even better service.

Ive been to this place maybe over 4 times and every single time we have had a good experience. The service is always nice. The food always delicious. I love the place!❤️ Definitely will be coming back when I get the chance 😅 I love their Spinach Dip!! The Chicken Dijon is really good! The chicken tenderloins is delishhh! The burger as well!! and I loved the Carrot 🥕 cake 🍰🥰 Also Loved the Sweet Potato Casserole!!

I’ve been to Riverside Grille several times while traveling. From what I’ve been told, Riverside is the only truly upscale restaurant Beaumont has seen in decades. The interior is beautiful, especially the huge aquarium wall when you enter. The food is exceptionally good and is significantly less expensive than anywhere in Houston (you can almost buy two or three meals at Riverside for the price of one in Houston). One of the owners, Jay Jenkinson, always greeted my guests and me as he walked table to table. He is friendly and seems to take great pride in what he and his partner created. The last time I visited there were some issues with my order: the filet mignon was way overcooked (I asked for medium rare). It took, what seemed like forever, for the replacement steak to arrive. There was an additional wait because they failed to bring garlic butter for the steak. It didn’t help that my guest had finished their meal before I was served. After I paid and was leaving, I walked over to Jay and shared what happened. He apologized, but never said, “Hey! Aren’t you the guy who’s been here like five times within the last week or so? Thanks for supporting us. Next time you come in ask for Jay and I’ll get you a drink or two on the house.” Again, the food is exceptional (especially considering the price). I’ve been to Beaumont a few times since then, but that one experience left me with an icky feeling. I’ll give it another go sometime in the future.

This place is beautiful, great decor and a really awesome job on the bar and its seating area. They house one of my new favorite drinks, and their drink menu is worth checking out for some nice cocktail variety. The food itself sticks to the classics, but they do a good job at them. Their seafood fondue appetizer is probably my favorite thing on the menu, not excessively relying on the cheese and they get the ingredients to truly do their thing.

First time at Riverside Grille and it was for my husband’s birthday. The location was nice, area around restaurant very clean, atmosphere inside was cozy and nice even earlier in the day, around 3PM. The music was not blaring, the lights were not extremely bright, and the service was amazing. Thanks Tara the general manager, our splendid waitress Sierra, and Ella who kept the water and fresh bread coming. I loved that the booths were round allowing you to see a large portion of the restaurant. The wait time was minimal. The dinner rolls were nicely buttered and was served warm. My husband got the redfish ponchartrain which was very succulent and the brownie fudge sundae which was warm and extremely delicious. The best part is it was served hot and I could still see steam coming from his food as he was close to the last bite. I ordered the strawberry mango typhoon which was very good although I tasted very little alcohol. I ordered the shrimp scampi fritta and unfortunately it was not good it was barely lukewarm, looked and tasted strange. Not sure what that white stuff was in the garlic and herb butter sauce. Kudos for waitress and general manager for not making a big deal out of me sending it back and discounted our bill due to the displeasure of my appetizer. I then ordered the shrimp creole which was hot and delectable. All and all the experience were wonderful, and we are glad we went and will return in the future.

My new favorite restaurant in Beaumont, restaurant clean, brisket sliders and creole shrimp was delicious. Highly recommend My second time I got the pasta and added the shrimp catfish, it’s was delicious,🤤🤤I’m going back again today.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 18 August 2025 John & Fi Wedding Day Brunch We had our courthouse marriage today and decided to celebrate by trying Riverside Grill in Beaumont and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered deviled eggs, onion rings, filet mignon, and shrimp pasta alfredo, along with fresh bread and lemonades. Everything was delicious and well-prepared definitely a must-try spot if you’re in the area. The service was just as impressive. Our server, Joseph, was extremely kind and accommodating, and the hostess who greeted us was so warm and even congratulated us on our wedding day. What truly shocked us was when my husband ask for the bill and Joseph came over and told us the bill had been taken care of. We don’t know if it was the restaurant’s management, the CEO (who we think we saw at the bar), or just a kind guest, but whoever it was thank you from the bottom of our hearts❤️🙏🏼👌🏻.This gesture, combined with the incredible food and hospitality, made our wedding brunch unforgettable. Riverside Grill has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants, and we’ll definitely be recommending it to all our friends. Highly recommended not just for the amazing food, but also for the exceptional experience.

This is a great place and wonderful experience. I've been twice and very enjoyable both times. Bartender is friendly and made the drink of my request, something off menu. Alfredo spinach dip is ok. More cheesy than Alfredo. Meatloaf was fine. Steak was excellent!!! We've also had a fish special which was really good. Desserts are fine. Always had great service.

When you step into Riverside Grille, you're instantly embraced by an ambiance of pure elegance. From the beautifully appointed setting to the attentive service, everything about this place speaks five-star vibes--without the five-star price tag. I enjoyed a late lunch here today with a friend, and each bite seemed to outdo the last. It was her first visit, and she's already planning a return with her husband. The experience left that much of an impression. We started with a fan favorite--the Bang Bang Shrimp. This dish features tempura coconut shrimp glazed with Thai chili sauce, served atop a crisp and creamy Asian slaw. The contrast of textures and the harmony of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors created a perfect beginning to our meal. For her entrée, my friend chose the Redfish Ponchartrain, and the presentation alone was stunning. The pan-seared fresh redfish was topped with sautéed shrimp, crab meat, and mushrooms in a rich brown butter wine sauce, served over seasoned rice. She added a side of asparagus that was as delicious as it was beautiful. I ordered the Greek Salad with Grilled Salmon, and it absolutely delivered. The salad was fresh and vibrant, packed with crisp greens, cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, olives, and feta, all brought together with a house-made Greek dressing that was absolutely delightful. The salmon was grilled to perfection--with a beautifully crispy exterior and moist, tender interior that elevated the entire dish. If you're looking for an upscale dining experience without the upscale prices, Riverside Grille should be at the top of your list. This restaurant is Best Bites approved. Have you been? This was my second time dining at RG. First time was actually very good. This time, not so much. I travel from Houston to Lake Charles regularly and was excited about finding this spot in downtown Beaumont. While traveling this evening, hadn't had dinner and remembered this place. It is just a few minutes off IH10- conveniently located in a cool area (Crocket St), that has been revitalized. RG is a beautifully done restaurant, that reminds me more of Houston restaurants, than anything I've ever seen in Beaumont (I lived and worked for many years there). Definitely, a nice, "date-night" kind of place. Service was good, I take issue with the food this time. It was an "off menu" item that was being tested...server really sold it. It was Asian rice dish, with ribeye steak and bang/bang shrimp sauce. The steak came out very rare, they did not ask my preference of temperature before hand. I asked to have it cooked longer, and they obliged. Steak was ok-the rest of the dish was an over-sauced, soggy mess of mostly unrecognizable, slimy vegetables. Normally, a good rice will redeem a dish, but this didn't even have that going for it. My server never asked if I liked it, but another did. I think she was curious about the dish, and stated that she had not seen it. I was pretty honest with her and she seemed to genuinely care. She was going to share my feedback and let me know what was said. Never saw her again. In her defense, I needed to get back on the road, so I settled up quickly and left. Don't know if this will keep me from going back, but does remind me to ask lots of questions and maybe stick to safer choices. If this menu item is truly being tested for the regular menu...it does need some adjustments before it would be a dish that would match the ambience and quality of this restaurant. H

April 18, 2024 @ 830pm Went to botanical garden in Orange and wanted to eat here for dinner. Nice looking place inside. Very nice staff. We sat at the bar. We had a cocktail...mine was an espresso martini ---really good. My niece had the river runner. Everything was great. The bartender dude was very nice. We shared the deviled eggs [4] with brisket on top and the alfredo spinach dip... both really good. Being in DT Beaumont... in the Crockett Street area... can be a hit or miss... mostly misses in the last few decades. So, i honestly hope you last Riverside because you've got what it takes! Truly. Carry on! #eatlocal ##supportlocal

Noah our waiter was beyond attentive. The ambiance elegant and extravagant. The food was beyond my expectations. I live in Austin and would have paid 3x for fine and dinning. Only 60 dollars what a deal. I did not win at the casinos, but this was my win for the weekend.!

Riverside Grille is a must-visit! The deviled eggs were creamy with the perfect brisket topper, and the prime brisket--is slow-cooked --OMG was unbelievably tender & flavorful. The shrimp salad was fresh and light, a perfect complement to the rich meats. Great food, great vibe--can't wait to come back!

I had birthday dinner and it was fabulous I will be coming back. I tried the devil eggs so good. The drinks are really tasty . The main course I had was Chicken Madeira live the sauce and the mash potatoes very whipped the entree did needed a touch of salt. Our server Chrissy was excellent very friendly. The bathrooms were really nice and decorated.

Amazing. I had the chance to try Riverside Grille that recently opened in Downtown Beaumont and overall had an excellent experience. I was able to easily reserve online the night before for table of 2 and when we arrived we were promptly seated. The restaurant has an excellent aesthetic that provides a fresh modern take amongst the historic downtown. I decided to try the spinach dip for appetizer that also comes with salsa. This was excellent and I appreciate that the chips were fresh and not overly salty. The salsa was also tasty and was warm and fresh. For the main course I went with the Madeira chicken which is a dish that blended very well together between the bed of mashed potatoes and the tender chicken cutlet topped with cheese and the Madeira sauce. I was very satisfied with this dish and also enjoyed my side dish of Au Gratin potatoes. Overall the ambiance, the service, and the experience was excellent. I am so happy to see Riverside Grille in Beaumont and I can't wait to see how they will develop in the future. There is something for everyone as the menu features seafood, chicken, burgers, and many other dishes to accommodate everyone. Note: There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant and street parking on the sides of the restaurant. Reserve ahead of time and if you have a party of 5 or more, be sure to call the restaurant so that they can work to accommodate you.

Food was tasty, menu had some variation from the fare everyone served, and the service was GOOD. Didn't try the bourbon, but they had a good number of excellent choices. Service was excellent.

The food and service were fantastic. I forgot to take pictures, but Everything we had was fantastic. I had a chicken dish with sundried tomatoes and goats cheese. It hit the spot. We will be back.

The restaurant was quite packed when my party and I arrived, but I had already made a reservation for 8 beforehand and so happy I did ! The atmosphere was welcoming right off the bat as I checked in and then was quickly sat at the table, we were all offered water and bread while reviewing the menu. Lacie was our waitress and was spectacular ! Very kind and attentive to our needs and made sure we weren't without at any point. Food wise my party ordered all over the menu from Salmon, a salad, meatloaf to chicken tenders for my niece. We all enjoyed our food-bursting with flavor, piping hot and we enjoyed our plates. Several of us ordered cocktails (Mojitos) and thought they were spot on as well. I just can't say enough about this place and how it won't be my last time coming back because I had already eyed about 3 different menu items before choosing my top pick lol. But once again Lacie you were amazing and thanks for making my birthday dinner so special

We are traveling in our RV across this great country. We are in Beaumont TX and came across the Riverside Grill. Amazing service, amazing Food, great ambiance. Coming from overpriced Miami this was a Gem. Highly recommended !!

I had a great time. The place is so nice. I enjoyed the croutons on the salad. The seafood was good and I have no complaints.

Service went well, ambiance was great and the food was on point!! Would not have believed Beaumont had a nice restaurant with good favorable food.

Today for Father's Day my stepson decided to take all of us to dinner. Riverside grill was the perfect place to go in downtown located 290 Crockett Street Beaumont Tx. We've been there before and couldn't wait to go back. There was a nice crowd and our server Sierra S was awesome. She mentioned that she was new but she did a great job. They started with those delicious rolls. Yumm. Finally we decided to start with an appetizer and went with the brisket sliders which were so delicious. For our main course my husband ordered the cheese burger with fries. The burger was huge and you get a nice portion of fries. My son decided on the Bacon cheeseburger with fries. My father in law decided to order the fried catfish and shrimp with fries which he loved and I decided to get the Catfish Atchafalaya that consisted of pan seared Mississippi catfish lightly blackened with sauteed shrimp in a Parmesan cream sauce served over rice with mac n cheese. Everything was wonderful and we really enjoyed our dinner and our service. By the time we left the place was filling up. We will definitely be back soon

The restaurant space is beautifully decorated. Our menu selections were delicious; the pace of service was pleasant and not rushed. Trent was our server; he was courteous, engaging and professional. We look forward to visiting again.

Two California self-admitted food snobs driving to New Orleans and stopped to find a late lunch in Beaumont that wasn't a chain restaurant. We found this place and were skeptical - there wasn't much (anything!?) open around it and the building across the street is boarded up - but it was great. It's classy, has a full bar, not overpriced, and exceptional service. Food was good (salad overdressed but hey no biggie) our waiter was super attentive, there were a handful of larger parties having a leisurely lunch. They thought to bring me a refill of my half sweet/half unsweetened tea to go. "New Orleans is still 4 hours away!" Recommend.

Last night was date night with the hubby. He bought me tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at SETX Stages. Prior to that, we went to eat at Riverside Grill...for the first time. Tell me why we waited so long? We were seated right away, even though the place was pretty crowded. Jonathan was our very attentive (but not overly so) waiter who took time to answer any questions and to even tell us why people commented on how good their water is (it IS very good water). We started with an appetizer of bang bang shrimp. They were butterflied and huge. The sauce had just enough bang to make it flavorful (I'm a heat wimp and it was delicious). Then we shared the Hawaiian chicken and shrimp with a mango Pico, sitting on a bed of caribbean seasoned rice. I had the honey glazed carrots and my husband had the sweet potato casserole for sides. There were other things on the menu that looked great, but I'm sure when we go back (and there will be a next time), we will probably get the same thing. Don't sit on this restaurant. You will regret it!! 10/10 recommend!!

So sorry delicious! plastic experience all around! Their staff was so friendly and attentive we couldn't ask for a better dining experience. The food was top-notch and the restaurant itself is stunning. If you like beautiful chandelier this is your place for lunch or dinner!

6 months ago this place was a 5 star. It's obvious the owners like many restaurants have went for cheaper food quality. The $45 "aged" ribeye is now a cheap cut of beef. Too bad as this is why we went back but after my wife and I's very rare date night last week, we will never return

It was our first time here. We went back to back two days in a row Great atmosphere friendly service from Marc & Tammy. We tried to appetizers that are big enough to be an entree. The bang bang shrimp & Seafood Fondeaux. Both were tasty but personally we loved the fondue such cheesy mushroom goodness. Thanks for a great experience! Looking forward to trying a fish plate or seafood pasta next time.

I ordered a steak medium rare. It was perfect color and delicious flavor. Total dining experience was excellent.

Exceptional!! The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Ask for Courtney she was so helpful and made sure we were taken care of. This restaurant downtown is very easy to get to with easy parking. Must try!

The food is great as well as the service. Love the sweet potato casserole. The corn succatash is good as well. So many tasty entrees.

We went late Sunday afternoon and was surprised to find an almost empty dining room. We had driven over an hour to get here and we were thinking this must not be that good if no one's here. Boy, were we wrong! The rolls they brought out to the table were hot, fluffy and melted in your mouth. My husband had the ribeye and said it rivaled the steaks at Truluck's and Ruth Chris. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had a half rack of baby back ribs. They were tender and oh so yummy! We both had a side of Au gratin potatoes. It was a good serving size and nice and cheesy without the cheese overwhelming the potatoes. The only disappointment was the baked beans. They tasted just like a can of Ranch Style Beans...mediocre at best. Our waiter was very attentive. We will definitely return here!

The food was so good. We decided to drive out there and try it and let's just say it was worth the drive. Mark our Server was Amazing. Everything about our visit was Great.

We love Riverside Grille for a date night or birthday dinner, or just on a whim! Our kids love the fish tank too. Food has always been excellent and service is probably the best in Beaumont.

Stopped for a quick lunch before work. Restaurant doors were unlocked and seated people prior to opening time. Beautiful entryway and fabulous decor. Seated immediately and out waiter, Jerel, brought water and fresh hot bread. Really enjoyed seeing the open cooking station so nothing can be hidden. Bang bang shrimp and cole slaw were banging. A little Tia heat with the cool slaw was a great combination. Very quite environment can be used for casual or intimate dining experience. I got the 16 oz ribeye and loaded potatoe. Steak was cooked to perfection seasoned heavy salt with maybe rosemary butter on top? The entire cut was tender and every bite delicious. Some say it was a little overpriced, but I would say right on point with competition and the market value. Staff is really friendly and comes by to check making sure the dining experience is great! Going back to try a few more dishes soon. Great job!

Beautiful classy restaurant! Had a party of close to 20 for lunch on Friday. Everyone raved about their food and how awesome it was. Our Waiter was Allbert and he was wonderful. The ambiance and atmosphere is great. So glad to have an upscale dining restaurant in Beaumont!! 5 plus stars!!

Food was great. Service was great. Nice place to dress up for a date. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the table for 6 was a sardine can. It was the depth of a countertop and we were cramped. But I'd still go again!

From the time we walked in, to the time we walked out, this place was amazing. Been here before but it keeps getting better. Food was phenomenal but the service we received from Ella, was second to NONE! 5 STARS for the management, the chef and especially our waitress!!

Oh. My. Goodness! We cannot say anything bad about our experience at Riverside Grille. We were traveling and decided to stop for the night in Beaumont. I googled restaurants, scanned a few, and we decided on RG. We were initially told it would be a 29-25 minute wait, but it was less than 10. Every employee we encountered smiled, was friendly, and our waiter did an excellent job. A manager came to our table, the food was delicious, the restaurant was exceptionally clean, the ladies room was very clean, and we were shocked at how inexpensive it was. We both saved RG as a favorite on Google Maps, and we definitely plan to return next time we come through Beaumont.

the food was okay a little bland I recommend skipping the meal and just getting the appetizers, but the service was amazing!! We came here for a birthday dinner and felt a little out of place since we were the one out of VERY few families of color and half the tables were giving us weird looks and made us feel unwelcomed. Was just a weird vibe all together...

This place has the best meatloaf over mashed potatoes I've ever had that tasted almost as good as my mother's. She doesn't use bread crumbs and neither do they. It's so so so delicious. But what's even better to start off your visit with is the deviled eggs topped with a piece of brisket. They are delicious and have a very good taste. Not bland but savory. The ambiance is very pleasing and sets off great vibes!!! The service is always top notch. And the drinks are great too!!!!!!! I hope this place stays downtown forever! It's always one of our go to places since they opened.

For a place with so much hype, I expected more. They're doing some things right. For starters, the restaurant is beautiful. The way they greet customers is very personal. You can tell they want the customers' experience to be exceptional. Everything we ordered came out quickly. However, we were met with visible dirty water glasses on the INSIDE of the glass. Then the spinach and deviled eggs came out.. we all agreed that the spinach might be the best we've ever had. Deviled eggs were good, but pretty typical. Our entrees were the 14-16oz ribeye, Madeira chicken, shrimp Alfredo, and kids chicken tenders. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, but was more like 12oz. My husband said it was a little too salty for him. The Madeira chicken looks great but is so disappointingly bland. I got sautéed mushrooms on the side, great. The mushrooms in the meal seemed uncooked altogether. All you could taste was the gravy. It's like nothing else was seasoned. We had to send it back and I just finished my husband's steak. I ordered an old fashion (again, a messy glass from making the drink, I assume) but it was decent. The shrimp Alfredo was good. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. We did have to ask multiple times for the items we no longer needed on the table to be cleared. The tables are relatively small and crowd quickly. All in all, I'm not sure if we'll be back but the place has great potential.

Don't tell them your going to share a meal. They will cut the portion in half. Previously ordered same but each had our own saperate order. We had enough to bring some home. This time we decided to share. Side of asparagus had only four. 4 for 5$. The sweet potatoes was about 3 tablespoons. Learn their game to make sure you pay more. But food is good

Food and service was great. Table was ready when we arrived and drinks from bar was good. Nice change of pace restaurant for Beaumont.

Great ambiance at this new restaurant in downtown Beaumont. Their bread is fresh and delicious. The service is pretty good. Lots of young servers learning the ropes. They'll perfect it with time. Otherwise I m looking forward dining there often.

Food was fresh and fast for lunch, service was friendly and ambiance was great! We love to try new places and we will be back.

I had the catfish Atchafalaya and it was amazing. We went Saturday at 4pm and they were not busy. We all sampled each other's food and I can say the grilled chicken and the redfish that was on the menu cover were also excellent. Get the green beans or asparagus as the side. Both were really good.

Staff greeted us promptly sat us at a table . We requested a booth and were quickly accommodated. Fresh hot rolls were placed on the table and our server was very professional and friendly . Menu had a very nice selection for anyone's palate and the server was accommodating to my friend's nut allergy. Food arrived hot and fresh .Food was a 7/10 and service was 10/10. Claire our waitress was awesome and very professional. Highly recommended and will return.

We had my daughter's birthday dinner at Riverside Grille. It was delicious and not one complaint. From food to waitress and drinks: all was good!!!!

I brought 16 people here in June for a retirement dinner and the restaurant informed us when we entered they were out of filet mignon!

We have only been one time so far. Going to eat there again tonight. Can't wait to try something new. The atmosphere the food and the service are all outstanding. Seems to be the best place in Beaumont.

Food and atmosphere are the best you will find west of the New Orleans French Quarter. Every item we had on the menu was absolutely perfect. It is worth the trip just to experience the atmosphere.
