"Riverside Market is a beer bar with a few locations in Broward, but the original near downtown Fort Lauderdale is the best. The space has communal seating (both indoor and outdoor) and couches to hang out on. It’s one of our favorite places to drink in the city, but we always end up eating too, because the bar food is really good. The fried chickpeas are a perfect drinking snack and the hoagies never disappoint—but it's the BBQ chicken pizza that's our go-to order. Beer fans will love this place. It used to be a convenience store and they have a wall of refrigerators where you can browse through hundreds of beers, pick one out yourself, and just pay for all your empty cans at the end." - Ryan Pfeffer

Riverside Market South is conveniently nestled near the airport, offers an impressive array of culinary delights that are consistent with the high quality found across all Riverside Market locations. The moment you step in, you're greeted by an ambiance that's both welcoming and vibrant. The real adventure begins when you walk up to their beer coolers. It's like a treasure hunt for beer aficionados - the variety and the freedom to pick and choose your drinks adds a uniquely fun and personalized touch to the dining experience. What truly sets Riverside Market South apart is the quality of food. Every dish I've tried here, from their gourmet sandwiches to the moreish appetizers, has been a testament to their commitment to quality and flavor. It's not just food; it's an experience that tantalizes your taste buds. Moreover, the location is perfect for travelers or locals looking for a quality meal without straying too far from the airport. Whether you're catching a flight or just in the area, this place is a must-visit!

Great local bar with delicious food too😋. My brothers and I stopped in here right after landing in Florida. We ordered the caprese sandwich, pizza, nachos, chicken salad as well as the hot chicks. I appreciated their friendly service and good food 😊 I will definitely recommend this place to others.

Just a little place with a lot in it. Has a menu with fresh choices on it and the one person that was running the front end was doing a fantastic job. The food was really good with reasonable prices. Was really cool they had too big coolers you could go to and just grab whatever beer or drink you wanted and they just put it on your bill.

From what I know, the Riverside Market South Florida is one of three locations operated by the same owner. This is a true bar that serves great food. They have beer on tap plus three glass front fridges full of great domestic and international beer. I had a pulled pork sandwich with fries. The fries were crispy and salty like I love them. The pulled pork was a cross between a sweet sauce and North Carolina style with some purple cabbage on top. It was fantastic and I was tempted to order a second one. The atmosphere is bar like and the decor is fisherman friendly. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. The food is fresh and the beer is cold. Great location to capture the locals and those coming off the cruise ships. Great find and one not to miss.

First time visiting the restaurant and it was great. Super conveniently placed next to the airport and prices are great! Food was awesome. I ordered a shrimp PO'boy and it was nice and freshly made. Service was awesome

Do you like markets that are on the side of rivers? Then you'll love this place! This is Fort Lauderdale's best dive bar. This place has hundreds of beers to pick from. This is the only place I've been that has a total honor system. You grab a beer from the fridge and there are bottle openers all over the place so you can enjoy right away. At the end, you just bring up your bottles and square up then. Riverside also has amazing food. I definitely recommend the north fork sandwich. So damn good!

Checked this place out on a Fri afternoon based on a coworker's recommendation. Have been hooked on to it ever since. Love the vibes and ambiance of Riverside South, looks more like a really cool hipster bar that you'd find in Brooklyn. If you're a beer lover, you won't be disappointed. There's something for everyone. Their mango beer is my personal favorite :)

Google
Great food and atmosphere!! Our flight was 45 minutes early and our ride was delayed. So we found a place close to the airport for lunch. Had the crab cakes.. very good!

Yelp
Laura greeted me and seemed friendly enough despite having other tasks because she kept back to ask if I needed anything or decided on something. She also asked if I was familiar with TLK, and little does she know, I got busted for my secret/surprise visit. Yup, I ended up here because of the pop up restaurant I'll be reviewing separately :) I normally don't do beer unless it's rich like a Belgian type, but I let Laura help me decide one after giving me two samples of both that and another sweeter but mild kind. I went with Pineapple Blood Orange over Sweet Water IPA. I recall drinking this one pretty slow throughout the meal. She was also kind enough to offer me water in addition to that. Ambiance was on quiet side with some music playing. Relaxed environment. This snug small place was in an area you would not expect to find -- a gem, for sure!

Yelp
The hole-in-the-wall we needed! After a day of volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary, we were definitely ready for a beer and a bite and the trusty Yelp! Machine directed us here. Dive bar feel (not in a bad way) and you feel like that seat at the bar was saved just for you. The bartender was friendly and we chatted a bit and had a good time. Great selection of beer on tap BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! They've also got coolers with beer and that selection is huge. Sure, I want to support local brewers but with an extensive selection of beers that are frosty cold, I'm rarely able to find, was certainly welcomed! Nachos--boom! Delicious. Shrimp po boy, there's something about that bread. That bread was delicious. Small parking lot and closing early on Saturday but that's perfect for us on our volunteer days!

Yelp
I came here for Tom's Louisiana kitchen before it moved out and I have to say it was excellent since it's not there anymore. I'm not sure what else to say other than I probably will go up to Boca to see Tom again. I didn't eat any of the food at the actual Place other than Tom's

Jimi J.

Yelp
Casual setting, chill music, great service and awesome selection. You'll feel like you are a regular as soon as you walk in. Their menu has so many wonderful dishes to choose from, my favorite snack is the Hot Chicks...can leave without an order!

Sheila G.

Yelp
We just happened upon this little place near our overpriced rental at Easirent. We are craft beer lovers and tasters. Usually I go for the local darker beer or cider, but they had one of my favorite beers on tap- shotgun wedding by Country Boy brewing. Yum I was hungry to have a burger and fries. It did not disappoint. My friend got the healthalicious tuna. Nice sized with plenty of tuna. The food is inexpensive for what you get. The beer is regular priced 6$ a pint Service by one waitress from the bar. She did it all. (Except the cook) So glad you were here-after spending too much money in the Keys.

Tom H.

Yelp
Awesome lunch stop!!!! The Rueben and burgers are amazingly goods. Everything I have had is prepared for order. Music is good. Bartender is awesome and makes you feel welcome. And it's quick in and out.

Yelp
I'm here in town the day before a cruise out of Miami and saw this restaurant .After a long morning of flying and picking up my rental car r I was starving! Riverside definitely met my needs. The buffalo shrimp were delicious as were the fries.Thank you for peeling the shell from the tail before preparing them and for the mild buffalo sauce being the perfect level of heat They have a nice selection of beers as well.Definitely will return next time I'm in Ft Lauderdale

Victoria R.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere my favorite drinking spot this far! The Blue burger was cooked to perfection and tasty fries. If in the mood for seafood. Try the fish tacos blackened. Great portions and well thought out. The selection of beer and wine is amazing. I can't wait to return!

Sheryl J.

Yelp
I've heard all good things about the food and atmosphere, can't wait to give it a try.

Victoria P.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. Walking in you realize you are In for some interesting beer and some yummy food. Come check it out! We loved it!

Yelp
I would categorize this is as a grungy, local dive bar that serves some food. That said, there are a lot of good dive bars that I've been to. This wasn't a terrible experience, but not the best one either. They have a huge variety of draft beers (apx 32) and coolers full of canned and bottled beer. They have no table service here so you order any food or draft beer at the bar. If you're interested in a beer from the cooler you just help yourself and at the end of your visit bring up all of your empties so that they can tally them up and bill you for them. There are no prices on any of the beers in the cooler. Two of the four beers I picked up from the cooler had already expired. I got one draft and one of the cans out of the cooler. I also ordered some food at the bar. I ordered a Shrimp Po Boy, which is $12 and comes with no side. For $12 I sure thought it should come with some fries or something? So I ordered a side of fries, which were $4 more. The Shrimp Po Boy came out but no fries because they forgot to enter the fry order. Unfortunately, the fries didn't come out until I was completely done with the sandwich. The sandwich itself was marginal at best. The shrimp itself was fine, but it was typical bar food fare. The baguette was fresh but huge and thick (a ton of bread) and it came with lettuce, tomato, onion and a sauce. The fries finally arrived and they were hot, crisp, and really good. Staff person was very friendly but aside from the cook I believe that was all the staff working in the place. All in all, was a very subpar experience, not the hangout for me. Would normally give two stars for this but upgrading to three stars because of the friendly, helpful bartender.

Yelp
Looking for a dive bar with good beer lrices and a relaxed atmosphere? Riverside market is it. The food is not awe inspiring. We got wings, buffalo shrimp, mozzarella sticks and some fries. It was all good enough to add to my belly full of beer. The beer selection was by far the best in Fort Lauderdale and had something for everyone. The selection was the highlight of this place for me. The ecletic decor was cute and I love places that have sofa seating. This is a great stop by before I go somewhere else bar. The bartenders were so nice and funny. They were chatting us up and making us feel like another local. The atmosphere is super relaxed and on a nice day you can sit outside. The view isnt much but if you bring a friend its a great spot.

CeCe M.

Yelp
This is a great spot! My coworkers and I come here frequently for lunch. The food is great, the vibe is good, the staff is attentive, and there's always an interesting movie playing. I recommend the pizza, wings, French fries, and regular or veggie burger. Obviously they have a huge selection of beer so that's based off of preference. You can't go wrong!

Wayne R.

Yelp
Amazing selection of beers from all over and great service. Nice place so just chill out. Have a few drinks and play some games. Haven't tried the sandwiches yet but I heard they are amazing and will definitely go back.

Yelp
I ordered the turkey meatball sub with fries and a diet cola. From the picture, you can tell that I just couldn't wait to dig in and take a bite of my slider. But look again everyone. These sliders look more like a full sub. They were so filling I only ate one. And the the marinara sauce was absolutely divine. Don't get turned off by the turkey meat. It tasted just as good as beef meatballs and your body will love you for it. The fries were a little bit of a disappointment and were probably better served in the restaurant. My condo has strict Covid rules and residents have to pick up food deliveries in the lobby. So the cooling off probably added to them being distasteful. No worries. I plan on heating them up in the oven tonight and crisping them up. They are obviously fresh potatoes and most likely delicious when served at the restaurant. This restaurant has a wide variety of food which I felt was fairly priced for the high quality. I'm going to try their dine in service next time.

Yelp
We have been meaning to come here for a while and we finally made it! First I had it bookmarked thanks to fellow yelpers reviewing positive things. Then I won a basket at the Day of the Dead festival, which included a $25 gift certificate here. So after a yelp event, I did not eat and hubby did not while I was there. Riverside was on our way home so we stopped finally. The place is not amongst other restaurants and bars so it is not that noticeable driving by. We found it and parked in their small parking lot. We wanted to sit outside but there was only 3 tables and they were all occupied. We decided to sit at the bar since we did not see anyone sitting at tables inside. The bartender (Chris, as it said on receipt) was super cool. He helped us pick some beers and handed us food menus. I usually tend to order the obscure drinks so I started with a Blue Point Beach Plum Gose since I support my home state always and love their blueberry beer. It was really good and unique. I also had the Southern Tier Creme Brûlée, which was amazing but really heavy. Hubby had 2 Make America Juicy again twice and we split Rough Draft Wundersaur Apricot-yum! We ordered the hot chicks, which are fried chick peas dusted with seasoning. I ordered them due to yelpers raving about them and they were 100% on point!! Chris unformed us it was Taco Tuesday and hubby decided to get chicken and pulled pork tacos. They were $2 each and very tasty. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower with hot sauce. I was expecting crappy fried and soggy cauliflower and it was completely the opposite. The cauliflower was fresh and crunchy! I'm ordering that plain next time!! I also ordered the baby cakes, which are crab cake balls. Again, I was expecting basic fried crap and it actually tasted like crab cakes from a fancy place lol. Thank you Chris for your hospitality! Oh we also received $1 off 3 of our beers for happy hour, which was a nice surprise.

Yelp
Great beer selection, good burger, amazing fries! Dog friendly, and if I would have known, I would have brought my own pups! Staff is friendly and the spot is very laid back and has a dive-bar feel. If you're in the mood for good food and no frills, this is the spot.

Katie A.

Yelp
Amazing selection of beer, great sandwiches and other food, chill atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. We come here every time we're in Ft. Lauderdale.

Vivian V.

Yelp
Cozy craft beer place, part of my "pub passport" list to try. Seems to be highly visited by locals, customers seems to know each other and you feel like among friends even if is your first time. I really enjoy my time there

Julie h.

Yelp
Chill ass place with a wide selection of brews. Had about 30 on tap as well as a bunch of coolers to choose from. Got a flight to try 3 different Ones then got 3 from the cooler to take away. Bartender was on point. Seriously was a guy that had all the answers to everything. They had board games in corner if you wanted to hang and play. Nice layout with bar, tables and coaches. Lounge spot that felt very comfy.

Yelp
Was very excited to try Riverside Market South tonight, August 18, 2023 @ 7:30p as it had a 4.5 star review! When we walked in, it was very hot and was told to seat ourselves. As our party of 8 sat down, the waitress came over and told us how the restaurant/bar worked, that the beer in the cooler was self serve, and that there was soda on tap, and also told us they were not able to cook pizza. As a party of 8, we only received 4 menus, that were on a piece of paper, that was rubbing off, and was not legible. When we were ready to order food, only four people got to order before the waitress walked away without saying anything. A few minutes later she came back and continued to take the rest of our party's order. All but two of our party wanted water/soda, but was never asked for our order. After we ordered food, we asked the waitress for two cokes, she walked away before we could finish ordering drinks for the rest of the table. When she brought back the two cokes, I asked for two waters, and she stated "I'm not going to keep coming back for each person to order." The way that we were talked to is not professional in any manner, let alone as a waitress. We ordered three different appetizers, two came out 30 minutes after we ordered, and our third came when our food came out. Only two of our party's food came out first, 10 minutes went by before three more of our party's food came out. Another 10 minutes went by before the rest of our party's food came out. One person of our party ordered a HOT hoagie, it came out cold. The waitress stated that "the sandwich wouldn't fit in the oven" and brought it out cold. Another person of our party ordered a HOT hoagie, with no tomato and no oil and vinegar. This hoagie also came out cold, due to the same "it won't fit in the oven" reason, also with tomato's and oil and vinegar on it. The waitress took it back to be remade, and brought it back. They brought back the hoagie, to what appears the tomato's wiped off, and the oil and vinegar was still soaked into the bread and lettuce. Keep in mind, these two COLD hoagies were the last food to come out. We sat without refills on waters for over 15 minutes. The waitress then stated at the end our dinner, "We were about to close the kitchen down before you showed up," and "we weren't ready for a party of this size." Mind you, it was a Friday night at 7:30p, and she took another food order of a different party after us. The food that we received correctly was okay, but the service is horrible. Also to add, it's is very hot in the restaurant. I'm not sure if the AC isn't working, or they just don't have enough AC vents in the restaurant. It is almost unbearable to sit and eat food here. As a place where you serve yourself canned drinks, I am not sure why the waitress service is slow, and rude. Also to add, when we showed up, there was not many people in the bar/restaurant.

Yelp
Update your hours of operations! I took an Uber from the airport to your place to find it closed on Sundays even though the website says you are open.

Delilah B.

Yelp
Something about this place, i just love. Original is still the best..... Love the selection!

Lev T.

Yelp
Random find on way to airport. We knew it would be great or awful. Turned out to be awesome. Food was great, mahi tacos and a salad. Beer and soda are on honor system. Will check out their other spots next time!!!

Pilar M.

Yelp
Christian was our bartender. Very friendly and service Place with a good deals small but good Today Monday they have a Hamberger with a free beer any you choice Food delicious and temperature excellent Highly recommend to everyone I was disappointed with the 50 % offer they give me on yelp because was already expired

Marqus R.

Yelp
Very much like Riverside Market on SE 12th Avenue, you wouldn't want to go out of your way to come here for their food. What they have on their very limited menu, to the point of really being smallish, is good, but nothing exceptional, outstanding, all that interesting or in any manner unique. But what you would want to come here for is the super casual, almost of an Old Florida atmosphere and charm. Being super friendly with great service, the service I had some of the best ever, and having a most engaging following of customers, it's one of the best places I've found to hang out or chill out at. As bars go I'd tag it as being trendy but with a décor best termed as being "urban divey." There are all sorts of memorabilia, notes, messages and funny sayings written on the walls, hanging from the ceiling and just about everywhere you look, most with an underlying nautical them. It also has a good bar seating and comfortably nice indoor seating along with street front parking lot table dinning with seating. You might even call the parking lot seating as being waterfront as it offers a good view of the rain puddles along the street. When I was there they had a daily special of Sloppy Joe's with onion strings ($12.00) but when I went to place my order, they had run out. So, instead, I went for their pulled pork on a Kaiser roll ($8.00). When served it came with shredded red cabbage on top, nothing all that novel, but as far was pulled pork sandwiches go, very good. As they also have an excellent selection of beers, I requested one of their small craft dark beers and was given what they termed a "Buffalo" beer. I have to say that as small craft beers go, which I prefer, and as far as dark beers go, it was exceptionally good. It had a pronounced richness to it base flavor along with a good mellow balance.

Yelp
Riverside Market South... I happened upon Riverside when the time changed and I showed up a half hour early for Lauderale. They were still having yoga Sunday morning and Riverside Market South is right around the corner. Thanks again Yelp. So to start, the bar looks small from the outside, but is surprisingly bigger inside. It has a lot of cool stuff decorating the place. Including a canoe, boats and bicycle floating on the ceiling. There is outdoor seating in the front. It has a dive bar feel. The BEER selection is great. 32 drafts, three coolers of beer and a wine rack. They have two TVs over the bar which were not on when I visited. They also have a retro pacman arcade game and plenty of board games. I was the first one in this Sunday morning and the staff were pretty personable. The music was eclectic, started out with country, then rock, then some of everything else with the exception of hip hop and maybe classical. They do drafts, flights and they will fill growlers. Bring your own growler and they will fill it at 50% off which is a great deal. Not sure this is a five star experience, but for a dive bar it gets four stars which is an extremely high rating. If you want great beer, decent grub and a cool time. Stop by Riverside Market South on a Sunday morning, or afternoon for that matter.

Sarah M.

Yelp
5 stars across the board! This place is a top notch chill spot with more beer selections to choose from than you could ever imagine. Everyone working here from the kitchen to the staff are above and beyond service. Very lax calm chill spot. Highly recommend. If i lived out here id be a frequent visitor

Jen R.

Yelp
Friendly pub with lots of interesting beer choices on tap and solid, well-priced sandwiches. Their house rules say, "make yourself at home" and they mean it. Grab a beer from the cooler or get one at the bar and sit down and socialize. If you are in the area at Sailorman or West Marine, do yourself a favor and stop here.

Elise C.

Yelp
What a nice find. My mother had a layover in Fort lauderdale so i met up with her and wanted to do lunch or something close by. With my fellow yelpers' help, I found this one... maybe 7 minutes away from the airport. This place can easily be missed as they have some very low key signage.... even the "open" sign wasn't lit up. The sign is plain... black lettering, white background. There isnt much parking, but it's not a very big place sooo...there's that. The inside gives a funky kinda vibe with boats and old planes, license plates and so on hanging throughout. i like it.. They have a very small menu, but enough for everyone i think... they have pizzas, tacos, burgers fries... beer on tap and a rather large cooler or bottled and canned ones. The server who seemed to be alone at this time (it wasn't very busy...maybe 2 other tables or so) was very friendly and did a good job letting us know she saw us and is coming. She gave us samples of a few beers that were on tap which were pretty spot on to what we kinda asked for (we're not beer connoisseurs or anything... so we asked for recommendations) On to the food... I got the Grilled Mahi-Mahi tacos with pickled cabbage instead of lettuce.... umm yess you ought to get this... yumm. i enjoyed that. My mom got a cheeseburger... that was *shrug* a burger.. nothing exciting there, but the fries on the side were hot and tasty and seemed to be handcut. Food was cheap.... the tacos and burger are $10 each which was more expensive things on the menu... (so yeaa... more money for beer!) Overall, i was pleasantly surprised at this place. Def recommend if you have some time to kill for the airport.

Kenneth P.

Yelp
Really cool, low key, local-supporting gastropub. Riverside is where you come when you just wanna sit back and kick it with your friends over several beers and bar bites. I just love how much beer there is to choose from here. A ton of Florida breweries are on full display here, from the adorning of their logos amongst the decor, to the offering of their beers. 30 drafts on tap, then over 100 more drinks to pull from in the self-serve coolers. I think it actually makes you want to stay longer when you have all those to choose from on your own, as you're picking one your eyes are already passing over the next one you'd want. The self-serve coolers are a brilliant addition to the bar world. The food was solid too. Had a really great Pita and hummus appetizer (which was free due to a promotion they're running with an app) and an interesting fried chickpeas snack. I went light on food, was there more for drinks, but the rest of the menu had very good options, from pulled pork, to meatball sliders to pizza. My only beef here was that I came for Yelp Beer Week's 50% off flight, and upon getting my bill, I saw the flight was $7 with the discount included. So that means the original was $14?! That's the most expensive I've seen a flight, especially one that ONLY offers 3 beers!! So don't really feel like I got the real advantage of the discount, but nonetheless, I was happy with my food and drink choices throughout the night. The canned beers from the cooler were fairly priced and we got two at $4 and $8, respectively. Definitely the bettee value. Looking forward to trying their 2 other locations!

Kalei W.

Yelp
We love this place. It's close to home, the dogs are welcome and the food is always great. The staff is friendly.

Yelp
As a bar- I'd give this love a 4 for great beer selection and great service (Ashley was awesome). As a restaurant- it deserves 2 stars. Typical bar food. Combined - it gets a 3, I'd come here to drink but not to eat. Buffalo chicken dip- food flavor but a little dry Jalapeño poppers- nah, tasted more fried and little flavor Pork sandwich - okay Black and blue burger - okay (can't really screw up a burger - it was cooked to my liking) Pie in a jar- fun concept, tasty treat that we took back to hotel to lunch on later

Yelp
2/3/16- And the Customer Service Excellence Award goes to (drum roll please).....ERIN! "Make a customer, not a sale" - Katherine Barchetti Came here after a run looking for a beer, perfect place, right? We were greeted by Erin who made sure we had seats at the bar. We sat on a corner. She came by, asked us if we had been there before. I had, my friend had not. She explained the entire concept, asked us what kind of beer we liked and made a few suggestions. We decided to go over to the fridge and grabbed a couple of wheat beers. I grabbed the Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyner Wheat Beer and he grabbed the Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Wheat Ale. Erin told us about the menu, how they had some different items than in their sister store and about the meatball sub special. They make their own meatballs and their own sauce, YUM!. I ordered that to share and she suggested we tried the garlic parmesan French fries to go with it. SOLD! The sub was delicious, great meatballs, the melted cheese with the sauce was incredible. The fries had a slight garlic flavor, wish it would of had more flavor. They weren't salty enough. Nonetheless, we ate everything. Erin kept checking on us and towards the end of our meal she tells us, very excited, about this dessert they had just made in the back. She had just had a taste and said we should definitely try it. We were full so we didn't but she was selling it to all her customers. Some ordered it right away. That is an upsell right there and that's how you do it folks! Riverside Market never disappoints when it comes to food and beer or service. But this concept can always be duplicated. But the customer service culture cannot be copied.

Yelp
What a perfect first stop in Ft. Lauderdale! After a long flight, we needed a quick bite to eat. We stopped at Riverside Market South, as it is quite close to the airport. When you arrive, there are self-serve drinks which is really convenient! For lunch, I had the mild wings and chips + salsa. Delicious! Wings are bone-in (didn't get to take a picture because I was so hungry), but they are amazing and not too spicy! Definitely stop by this gem when landing in Ft. Lauderdale, you won't regret it!

Daniel H.

Yelp
This bar/restaurant is Fantastic. Great spot for a burger and fries, tacos, grilled cheese, and BEER! The beers on tap are wonderful and the can/bottle selection is even bigger. The burger and fries were Perfect. Beers are super cold and the bar staff is knowledgeable, polite, and fun. I would rate this even higher if I could. Our flights were delayed and there isn't a single spot better that we could have ended up at.

Yelp
Delicious Menu That Hit The Spot Before Going Brew Tasting! SITREP Since we were already here for an earlier brew-tasting & dessert event, we actually pulled the trigger on grabbing dinner here as well since it didn't make sense for us to go on a wild goose chase trying to find something before heading up for Cherine A.'s "Boynton Brew Week UYE". THE SETUP Riverside Market South (Riverside) is a very engaging divy sort of place, but in a GOOD way! Close to the airport, it is in a more Industrial neighborhood than anything else, but when you think of it, that's one of the perfect locations for a gastropub with a great basic menu: no real hassle with parking. THE MENU We all got different things: * Krys just settle on their (quite substantial) battered rings ($4) * I got the Shrimp Po Boy ($12) * Cherine got the Hamas.....wait. I mean, HUMMUS ($8 - and a little Pres. Candidate "Ben Carson" pronunciation-joke thrown in) * And Edwin pulled the trigger on the Pork Tacos (which by the look of it, looked like the best deal if you were measuring "cost" with "heartiness of the dish" ($10) MUSIC I don't recall there being any music. Unless some radio was on. PARKING Again, it shouldn't be problem whether in the moderately-sized lot or just on the adjacent streets at the curb. THE LOWDOWN Everything was tasty, and the price was very reasonable. So if you are in the FLL Airport hood and are looking for a quick bite - and perhaps one of their local brews - this is the perfect spot to pull into!

Yelp
This is a tough review to write because I'm so torn... I'm a huge fan of the original Riverside Market, which I go to on a regular basis. Athough there are some similarities, the new location misses the mark a bit. Let's start with the good: Beer: extensive beer selection, which is what makes both locations great. South does have less bottled beer to choose from, but they make up for it with a much larger draft selection. Service: our servicer was very attentive and friendly. No complaints there. Location: Just like its older sibling, South is off the beaten path. Parking wasn't an issue for us, but I can see it being a possible issue on a busy night. The not-so-good: Food: here is where the problems is. The food wasn't really that great. First of all, EVERYTHING was extremely salty to the point we had to brush salt/seasoning off of the French fries. Onion rings - salty, but would be good. I had a shrimp po-boy and again, the shrimp were like salt bombs. I also felt the po-boy was a bit overpriced for the size and amount of shrimp they included. The hubby ordered a burger, which he said "wasn't bad". I'm sure we'll make another trip out there, but just for drinks. I'll let ya know if we try any other food :)

Yelp
Always pleasantly surprised when I find a groovy craft beer place where I least expect it! Visiting family in Fort Lauderdale and came across this gem. The bartender was extremely friendly with local suggestions. Kinda a weird pricing system...they have the normal tap beers and then a cooler full of singles you can choose from. Open in the place and it's a surcharge (corking fee lol) and take it to go it's just the price of a single. Nice find

Yelp
Some of the nicest people I've ever met. I hopped in an Uber from the airport and went to the closest place I could find that looked decent and man I'm so glad I ended up here! It ended up being a bar which I didn't realize until we got there but they were so sweet (the staff and the bar guests) and didn't mind my toddler being with me or all my luggage. We were just so hungry and got some really great food at a great price. The sandwich was the Section Ate and man was that thing huge and delicious with banana peppers, peppadew peppers (I think), cheese and a huge sum of ham. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in town. Oh and they have some very cool arcade games for free which my daughter absolutely went crazy for. Thank you to the staff and guests for being so kind to us, we'll remember it.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way home from our cruise. Really liked the menu offerings. This is a small gastropub, though it looks more like just a pub than what I would describe as gastro. However, rustic bar with lots of seating and a huge selection of craft beers. Small, but nice menu. However, if you're a vegetarian or vegan, there isn't much, if anything, for you here. I almost went with the Riverside Tacos, which were essentially pork or mahi street tacos, but had a craving for a sandwich and went with the North Fork - a hoagie with roast beef, turkey, pastrami, lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet and hot peppers and garlic mayo. Honestly, it looks like an overstuffed Publix sub, but this was so good. Fresh hoagie roll, large amount of meats and loaded with veggies. A bit hard to eat without making a mess, especially if you're driving, but delicious. Service was very friendly and someone (besides the bartender who helped me) also offered to help us with the microbrews if we had any questions. However, I don't have too much else to say since I got the sandwich to go. I would definitely come back here, but it's not in a great location. Kind of in an industrial park near the port and airport. However, if you're traveling to or from Lauderdale by ship or plane, this is an excellent place to stop.

Yelp
Super cool and laid back place with endless amounts of different delicious beers to choose from and good food. I've been here several times and always leave very happy. The fish tacos are delicious, the pulled pork sandwich might be even more delicious and the little snacks that include the fried chick peas, nuts and pickled goodies are a fantastically unique and scrumptious snack. My favorite components of Riverside South are the relaxed vibe and the constantly rotating kegs of awesome beers from all over. The staff is extremely nice and craft brew-savy. Many a time have I tried my favorite beer of the moment thanks to their recommendations. I just finished having some fish tacos and a new brew (Rastafar-rye by Blue Point) and I'm actually considering coming back for dinner. Cheers!

Yelp
I am happy to hear that Riverside Market has expanded because it is a wonderful concept of a home town local neighborhood bar. This location is smaller than the one up north. Came here for a YELP EVENT and had a great time sampling beer and desserts. There are a few "parknfly" type lots around which is good after you get shuttled back from the airport, you can always grab a drink before heading home LOL.

Yelp
In January 2016 I paid my first visit to Riverside Market South. After being successful at its parent company, Riverside Market, it had opened in July 2015. It's in a rather difficult spot to draw attention and to locate. It is a small venue with limited private lot spaces (and plenty of nearby on-street parking) near FLL airport. They have a front entrance and a side entrance, both used equally amongst patrons. There are pub tables and chairs out front with umbrellas, dining tables and chairs inside, the bar seating area, and a few couches. Inside you will find 4 coolers of different types of beer. You select whatever you would like to drink and keep your empties for paying later. While they started with only 4 taps, they are now up to 30 or 32 taps! And they had quite the nice lineup of beers. South also offers wine options, soda, and water. I had the Travelers PumpKing on draft. It was pretty good, and the glass was nice too. I like really neat pint glasses, and asking to take them home. Not this time; $5 a glass. I left it behind. Jay, well, I'm not really sure what he had but he enjoyed it. Some sort of Double IPA. We purchased a Groupon for this place which is you pay $18 for a large pizza ($15 each) and two beers (varies, but normally the good ones we drink are $5-$10 each). So it was a darn good deal. We ordered pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and it was pretty good. In fact, it was better than pretty good because we ate the whole darn thing. 8 nice, big slices. How in the heck did I eat 4 huge slices? It's good... try it... you won't be disappointed. The original Riverside Market makes the same, tasty pizza. Our trip was fairly quick. As the title states, we were off to catch a movie. The server was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Other staff members were running around doing just as much work as the other one. This spot is setup with a lot more potential and credit than it is receiving. During my first trip it was just opening with barely any décor inside, not being marketed enough, and it was being highly compared to the original. But it's a great spot: great staff, great beer selections, great location for me close to home, and they've stepped up the décor to make it a little more cozy.

Yelp
Though I didn't eat I totally loved the atmosphere and vibe. Jonathan the manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and could feel his passion for the business. The location is a bit of the beater path but the night we were there it was a great crowd of folks and all the food that we saw coming out looked awesome. The manager told us about 2 other locations so we will be on the hunt soon for sure as they are a little closer to where we live.

Yelp
We were leaving LauderAle's 1 year Anniversary and wanted to keep the beer flowing so we headed over to Riverside Market South. I guess we were expecting the crowd that's usually at Riverside Market on a Saturday evening so we were shocked to see that it wasn't very busy. Worked out for us though because we got to sit at the bar and talk to the bartenders. It was nice to see some familiar faces from the original location. We wanted to try out the menu so we ordered the chips and salsa to start. Loved that the chips are served warm. We were told the pork had just come out so we ordered the pork sandwich. Delicious. Super flavorful and juicy and the fries were good too. Mark suggested the turkey sliders but they ended up being out of them; so, that's on the list for next time. Hoping they start serving pizza since it's a favorite. We asked about cookies and Mark was nice enough to have the kitchen throw a batch in the oven. Red velvet = amazing. I like that they kept the self serve coolers even if it is toned down a bit from the other location. The decor is great and the tap selection was good. Hopefully the Riverside Market vibe that we're used to will carry over to the new place.

Yelp
The wait is the only downside to this restaurant but the FOOD was amazinggggg which is why they still get a 5 star rating out of me!!! Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever indulged in! The fries were great as well!!! Definitely recommend the BYO pizza!

Yelp
So far so good. Though not officially open yet I stopped by and they were serving beer. The old Keg on 6th is being reborn as Riverside Market South. Same on the outside and a brighter more lively interior. Already a great selection of beers and what sounds like a promising menu. This is all I can say now but will update in the near future after a couple more visits. Feeling really good about this place. Until later Cheers.
