"A prolific Alexandria restaurant group just unveiled a Mexican-themed patio perched on the boat-lined banks of the Potomac River in Old Town. An Airstream trailer nestled next to Alexandria’s iconic Torpedo Factory Art Center sells tacos, bowls, and starters such as street corn, salsa, and guacamole. Patrons can grab their orders at the trailer and take a seat on an adjoining 60-seat patio dotted with red and sea foam green chairs. Waterfront drinking calls for frozen margaritas that can be upgraded to passionfruit or mango. There’s also sangria, draft beers, and “High Noon” cocktails that mix vodka and soda with fruit juice (pineapple or ruby red grapefruit). Six types of tacos ($4 each) feature options like house chorizo and potatoes; pork belly and agave glazed pineapple; and chicken pipian with pickled apples and pumpkin seeds." - Tierney Plumb

I live in Chicago where there’s a big Mexican community and lots of taco joints that are amazing. I was disappointed in the amount salt and grease these tacos had. My tortilla felt apart while trying to eat. I had one el pastor which is pork but should never be swimming in a pool of grease. I had high expectations because of all the good reviews on google. Really sad to see how some people will walk away from this taco truck thinking these are legit tacos...

Great outdoor seating with views of the water. Dog friendly as well. Friendly staff. Food was good.

Amazing location, service, and (of course) tacos! We went for happy hour and got to try a little bit of everything. The guacamole is chunky with just a touch of spiciness. The chicken pipian tacos with apples were our favorite! Sangria was also the bomb. Loved the ambiance of being on the river. Check it out!

Service was as expected. The area was excellent right next to the river, but the food didn't taste good at all, and that's a compliment. My family of 5 went and we're definitely NOT picky eaters. I got the blackened fish tacos....they were mediocre AT BEST. I've rarely had a bad fish taco but these are among the worst I've ever had. Two of my kids (12 & 13) got the chicken pipian tacos and they were terrible, I even tried them and they were pretty bad. My wife got a mango spinach salad, for being a mango salad it had very small amounts of mango and the mango wasn't ripe or sweet. My other daughter 12 y/o got a chicken fajita bowl, it was meh. I tried it too. I wonder how this place is still in business with the flavor of their food. Way over priced for the quality of food served, will never return. One thing I can't stand is when restaurants have their menu accessible online only thru a QR code. Spend a few bucks and just print some damn menus. It's nice to be able to look at a physical menu together with friends/family and talk about what everyone is getting. It's a part of the social experience.

I visited in the spring after checking the hours on their website. When I showed up I found that they were closed for the winter. After I brought up the issue to the owner, they assured me that they would keep the hours up-to-date and said that they hoped to see me again. I visited today, after checking the hours online of course, only to find that they were closed yet again. The food may be great, though I'm not sure I'll ever get to try it. But you certainly can't plan on them being open when they say they are.

Fantastic food! Loved the street corn(!!!) and veggie bowl. Great patio seating. Beautiful space next to the water to enjoy a margarita or sangria. Good music too. Two thumbs up.

The best new little addition to our waterfront. Delicious food in an open air atmosphere with a cool vibe. I got the veggie bowl and the poblano taco yesterday -- still thinking about it and will be going back for more this week! A definite must try!
