For a place known for its seafood, the seafood at brunch was… eh. The plating for all of our dishes was beautiful. Crab donuts— order them! Oysters, order! Fish dip, good but the chips were stale. Corn bread- good. Salmon tartar— don’t waste your money. No flavor at all. Prawn & grits- okay. Grits were delicious, prawns were eh. My friends got the French toast and raved that it was the best thing they ate the entire time they were there…. Again for a seafood place, that’s a pretty sad statement. Our server was a blonde woman and I want to say she was new. She started out on a high and then disappeared on us 2/3 of the way through the meal. Good location for a book club. It’s quiet and a great area to walk around after your meal.

Celebrated my birthday with friends. I made by reservations through open table and had to make 2 separate bookings for a party of 11. Since restaurants don't always confirm open table bookings, I was concerned and tried calling the restaurant over a week and only getting voice mail. No one ever called back. Unprofessional. Not until 2 hours before did anyone reach out. At least they seated us early without the full party being there. The brunch menu was okay. Wish they had opened up the lunch/dinner menu for more options. The fish dip, seafood nachos, and mahi sandwich was excellent. Overall had a great time with my friends and our waitress, Laurel, was superb. Very friendly, patient, and accommodating. Manager Stacy also stopped by to check on us and have general conversation. Will definitely return for the dinner menu.

Server was great! Rest of the staff was fine but seemed robotic and unthrilled to be there. NPCs. My biggest gripe is the ambiance. Many reviews love the ambiance and I suppose it's a matter of opinion... But the outdoor dining area is odd. Chairs and tables wobble which is irritating. Choice of decor and hanging lights is eclectic and not in a good way. Felt like a grungy Ikea patio. Food was hit or miss. Excellent grilled Octopus. Loaded chips were good. Virginal oysters were large, meaty but almost flavorless. Peel and eat shrimp was slimy and gross. Cocktails were okay. While I expected dinner for 3 to exceed $200, I was surprised it was above $150. However, the food just wasn't worth $150. I want to be clear: dinner wasn't horrible or bad. It just didn't wow us and there was nothing remarkable about it. We walked away wishing we had gone to Tommy Bahama on Las Olas.

Nestled along the picturesque Las Olas Riverfront, Rivertail restaurant offers a brunch experience that perfectly marries delicious cuisine with an inviting atmosphere. During our visit, we were captivated by the charming outside seating area next to the river, which set a relaxed and enjoyable vibe for our meal. However, it was the crab donuts that truly stole the show and left us craving more with each bite. Alongside these culinary delights, we also savored a delightful Bloody Mary and perfectly executed shrimp and plantain eggs Benedict. Overall, Rivertail exceeded expectations with its great location, delicious food, and welcoming ambiance. Whether you're a local or just passing through Las Olas, I highly recommend stopping by Rivertail for a memorable dining experience.

We are local, we are foodies and we have choices - Rivertail was an amazing experience and a pleasant surprise. First of all reading all bad reviews about service we were very hesitant to try the place, what changed our decision that there were no bad reviews about food... so we went and we were not disappointed. The manager is new and the service is top notch now. The food is outstanding, we had mahi ceviche (grapefruit instead of lemon was an interesting touch), head on shrimp with cheddar grits - delicious; and my husband ordered the special: whole pan seared sea brim in lobster sauce - that dish made him rave the whole dinner. Chef Carlos came out to talk to us that was very special and made our evening. Desert was a pudding that was delish - the only nick that it should be served warm. We went before Opera performance but will definitely be back.

I was looking for a place with fun happy hour and oysters to take my mom out after a beach day.. and i was not disappointed. This place is a little hidden gem. Love this emplacement by the canal so you have a view while enjoying your food. I mean if you love oysters its the place to be for happy hour cause they $0,99 like what!! Drinks were amazing we had the Hibiscus heat and mango margarita %100 and our server Julia was soooo nice and attentive to our needs. She was really sweet and knew what she was doing. Overall a very good experience and we will be back very soon. Thank you Julia and the Rivertail

Amazing at each course. I was fortunate enough to surf and turf here Ave enjoyed every bite. Perfectly seasoned not salty pork chop and the dust time I’ve personally enjoyed ceviche of which i had never been a fan of. You must try the New England chasm chowder which they couple with the perfect flaky bun to push to the existence over the top. Indoor and outdoor seating available so i plan to return so i can again myself of what i am sure is beautiful scenery while dining outdoors.
