Perched atop the Palisades, Riverview-Fisk Park boasts some of the most breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River. Local artists and residents flock here for the popular Sunday farmers’ market, art events, and summer concerts, giving the park a creative, welcoming atmosphere. According to sources like Jersey City Upfront and local arts organizations, Riverview-Fisk is a cultural hub as much as a scenic overlook.

I just love this place. This park is pretty close to my house. I love going there in the evening. The view from this park is amazing—you can see both the downtown and midtown skyline.

Google
Great little park with an exceptional view of NYC. In the summer there is a Farmers Market every Sunday. There is a kids playground and splash pad. There is a gazebo overlooking the city and a fenced in basketball court. There is also a beautiful community garden.

Beautiful park with NYC view!! I feel so good being here. Great place to relax and do something productive. During rainy season it gets even better!

Pleasant and Quiet place to have a ME time. I prefer this place to make myself calm and get refreshed. It was equipped with basketball court. Sometimes I used to go with my friends and play. Friendly environment and calm surroundings.

Google
One of the best parks for picnic in Jersey City in my experience. In vicinity to great coffee shop, bakery and restaurant. Lots of sitting space in great neighborhood. Good for a romantic date too. View of NY skyline is also sublime more so at the sunrise and sunset.

Park grounds are beautiful and view is amazing as well. First time there to attend Drag Me to the Garden event and it was great! Love how they even did a little kid friendly call out!

Yelp
(Visited 12/10/2022 SA @ 1:00pm... and several times before): In addition to a view of the Hudson River, there was also a gorgeous landscape of the New York City skyline and Hoboken below that tempted your eyes https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=qOGKlTf_5XGO7Aiyi8fEkg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! The inaugural Heights Holiday Market brought my friend and her dog, her friends, and I to Riverview-Fisk Park as we took in the festive season and a reason to spend money. I've been here on previous occasions as one of the little black beast's favorite walking routes to mingle with other furry friends, while I simply enjoyed the views https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=55gAs8tTYbdVrONBqH2bnw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw and its proximity to a favorite bottle shop of mine. Would this holiday market provide more of a reason to continue visiting this park or was it just commercialism for our hard-earned dollars!? PURCHASE Generally speaking, with the exception of this special holiday market (I bought a "Jingle Juice" aka spiced mulled wine for $8.00 https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=IRvCPulV2ta4CSUaSXJ0iw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw... in addition to a $12.00 sausage sandwich and $15.00 sweets which will be in separate reviews), and the farmers market that took place annually between May through November every Sunday rain or shine from 10am-2pm, there was nothing to purchase. I didn't even see any street vendors unlike the abundance I would see back in L.A. SERVICE Of the several times I've visited the park, I've never seen any staff members or workers cleaning or tending to the various facilities (e.g. basketball courts, fields, general grounds, playground, trashcans, etc.). Thankfully, everything appeared to be well-kept especially since a fairly recent major renovation occurred during the pandemic lockdown years. With respect to the holiday market, all the vendors were attentive, friendly, and ready to assist you with whatever they were selling. All was good. PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance) This was an easy flat 10-minute one-way walk from my friend's place. Otherwise, there was a small onsite lot, and there seemed to be sufficient street parking along the main drag of Palisade Ave. and all surrounding roads - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE An elongated park located in The Heights that primarily ran along Palisade Ave. on one side and a ravine or sorts that allowed for captivating views of the New York City skyline https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iotaQhm6QmA89kV4C_BZ6w&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, this had several features of what you'd expect from such a place. From open spaces https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=i6Cz_aDGcm7t7mvAzlgaAw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, grassy fields, basketball courts, a central plaza https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rRf019qblHxon3WUzuBaPg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw along with an ornamental water fountain https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=RrGlizRKLTaHXVg77oTCQQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, a circular pathway https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=kUK_L6psNCt7dHhAvtfemA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, a children's playground, and a small area for your four-legged furry friends! In addition, there were several historic monuments, such as a bust of Henry Hudson and a dedication plaque for Theodore Conrad, just to name a couple. Obviously, there was plenty of natural lighting (duh!) while updated electric lights illuminated the rest of the area. There weren't any TVs while the chatter and hustling of people, playing children, music from the vendors, vehicular traffic, and more, filled the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=jaHneMQo7oAcGVPs-L9qhQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops... if it weren't so freakin' cold. OVERALL Riverview-Fisk Park was a chill place to leisurely hang out at, but for me it came back to the dog and the views for my future visits. It was in a safe area, and I would like to see how it was during the warmer months (I imagined more robust activities) versus the colder winter months when I visited. And darn it... Riverview Wine & Spirits was right down the street on Bowers St.! However, I had no idea whether or not there were any restrooms. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $35.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, at least the vendors I shopped at accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp
Great park and clean. Nice fountain, benches, small play area for kids, with to- die-for views of Manhattan

Yelp
Went here today with the wife for the jazz festival and discovered the farmers market. It is a pretty well-maintained park with fantastic views of the city. There were several different bands playing different types of jazz (one even sounded more rock than jazz). We stretched out on a blanket in the shade and listened to good music for a couple of hours. Even though it was a hot day you wouldn't have known it with the nice breeze coming into the park. Mayor-elect Fulop even made an appearance. The farmers market had several booths with vegetables, pizza, knife sharpening station, frozen fruit drinks and a pickles. I may have to try coming here on another Sunday to see if they change up the offerings. Overall, a very nice park. Too bad the gazebo mentioned in earlier reviews was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy last October.

Yelp
I remembered a few years ago, this park was pretty empty on weekends. Now, there were a lot of things happening here, like the farmer's market. It also offered a pretty awesome view of Manhattan.

Yelp
Clearly this neighborhood and park is improving every day. Such a fun, positive place to play basketball or just sit on the sidelines and watch. We meet fantastic people every time we come here. We want to come back on a Sunday for the Farmer's Market, especially one of the Sunday's that they do music in the park along side of the market (Farms in the Heights on FaceBook if you want more info).

Yelp
This park is very clean and it amazes me to see how many people use it on a daily basis now. It is the cornerstone of the neighborhood and there are plenty of trees and with beautiful playground for kids. There is a farmers market in the spring and summer not too far away Community garden. The views of New York are phenomenal.

Yelp
Pretty amazing views of the NYC skyline and a cute farmers market on the weekend. There is also a small playground for kids. Riverview Park is a small but very cute little park and across the street is the fabulous Mod Cup coffee you can get a cold brew coffee to take out and enjoy while taking in the view.

Yelp
Great view of Hoboken and more importantly the whole skyline of Manhattan. They have farmer's market and yoga classes on the weekends. They also have a variety of different festivals, the most recent one being the Jazz Festival. The gazebo fell down during the hurricane and has not been rebuilt. I don't know if there are any plans to do so. They also have basketball courts that overlook the amazing view. There is also a community garden with a picnic area inside.

Yelp
I live around the corner from the park. Amazing views and kept relatively clean. Awesome farmers market and a lot of great local events. Movies in the park, jazz festivals with beer garden, and a great flea market to name a few. The playground was just resurfaced and the gazebo is getting rebuilt. The old boccie ball court makes a nice little bog run. So does the basketball court when it snows. Please clean up after your dog.

Yelp
A lovely park. They really take care of this place. I see them cleaning the park constantly, trimming the trees and bushes, mowing the grass, etc. the events are awesome, a little late running but still worth it. It's nice living across the street from here.

Yelp
This park is amazing, simply for the view of the city. It's great just to hang out in the gazebo and take in the view. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
I come to this park with my girlfriend to enjoy coffee and the view of Hoboken/Manhattan. There is a great farmers market here in the summer on Sundays as well.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite secret spots in the city. It's a very small park, but has everything you need and more. There's a small playground, dog area, basketball courts, community garden, lots of benches, and of course the beautiful view of NYC. And from the spring through the fall, lots of events are hosted there like farmers' markets, flea markets, food vendors, fitness classes like yoga, live music, etc. And from what I've seen, most (if not all) of these events are free to attend. The neighborhood itself also has much to offer whether you're in the area to relax or need to run errands, with Modcup Coffee shop across the street, local restaurants and bars, supermarket, bike shop, etc. My personal favorite is to lay out a blanket under a tree, listen to music, and read. And it's such an easy place to get to on foot, by bus (stops right in front), or by car (because there's always parking available).

Yelp
This is a cute little park in the Heights and is real nice to see a view of NYC. Right off of Ogden Avenue...I used to live in a building nearby and nothing was more relaxing and tranquil.

Yelp
i'm proud to live by riverview park. they keep it nice, there's always kids playing and people actually pick up after their dogs all the time. the best part is the view of the nyc skyline, which is fantastic. i'll go out of my way to park here just so i have to walk through and see the view.
