The Riverwalk at Yorktown is a beautiful spot to relax, stroll, and enjoy the views along the York River. The walkway is wide and well-maintained, with plenty of benches and shaded areas. You’ll find a charming mix of restaurants, shops, and historic buildings nearby, along with interpretive signs that share the area’s rich history. We were lucky enough to see the bridge open while we were there to allow a military vessel to pass through—it opens by rotating two central sections, and it was fascinating to watch it in action. Whether you’re here for a leisurely walk, some photos, or just to enjoy the riverside atmosphere, the Riverwalk is one of Yorktown’s highlights.

Beautiful, clean riverwalk/ beach area. I visited around 7:30 on a Friday morning with my pup on a whim. At that time, the place was pretty quiet; only 1 or 2 others. We had a nice stroll on the paved walking path and enjoyed the sights and sounds. There are a few historical sites/ attractions, a fishing pier and benches throughout. I’d love to visit again while the businesses are open to check the vibe at that time. Overall, great place for a walk, run or to just chill.

This place is beautiful. Yorktown has really done a good job making this little beach strip accommodating and friendly. It is a cool experience to look down the beach and over the water and imagine what it must have been in Colonial times and even centuries before when Indians used to live here. If you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg, it is worth driving down the Colonial Parkway and spending some here.

We visited the Riverwalk and surrounding area just before Christmas 2019. They had a farmers market and Christmas activities on the day we were there. The children were able to sit on Santa’s lap and make an air freshener with citrus, cloves, and evergreens. A few of the kids got their faces painted by local tattoo artist. We walked up the hill to explore a little of the area and experience the colonial atmosphere. One of the colonial homes we entered did not allow us to leave until we all sang a Christmas carol with the actors! Great time... will visit again!

A lovely Riverwalk in Yorktown. It's apparent the town is putting in the effort to make it beautiful and user friendly. A free bicycle pump, with attached tools, dog water bowls, and plenty of historic markers makes this a pleasant area. Bonus, watching the Colman Bridge open is a treat!

Great fresh food! Friendly staff. Beautiful views. I have been to many successful banquets there, but I also love the small private dinners. I like trying new things so there is always something interesting to order.

The Restaurant is clean, beautiful, and the food is great. The only issue is the 1990’s grunge band music blaring in the background. Even the people at the table next to us agreed. The music seems to steal away from the richness of the ambience. The music seems more fitting for a sports bar than the historic colonial feel mixed with contemporary furnishings overlooking the York River. Outside of that, I highly recommend it.
