Riviera House in Redondo Beach is a fantastic spot, created by four brothers who aimed to provide a breezy, beachy chic environment for the community to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and warm hospitality. The restaurant’s indoor/outdoor layout offers an airy, relaxed atmosphere, ideal for unwinding with ocean views. Under the care of General Manager Mark Estrada and Chef Francisco Mejia, the dining experience here is exceptional. We had lunch with our daughter and baby granddaughter, and it was the perfect setting for her first beach outing. The seafood was outstanding—the scallops and fish tacos were fresh, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The steamed clams were another highlight, especially the rich broth, which we eagerly soaked up with the grilled sourdough. My daughter’s shrimp pasta was just as impressive, offering bold flavors and perfect textures. The restaurant’s ocean-facing view and open patio dining made for an inviting and relaxed vibe, perfect for a family meal by the beach. If you're looking for excellent food, top-notch service, and a comfortable place to enjoy the seaside, Riviera House is a must-visit.

Google
The restaurant itself is very pretty and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cocktails are unique and well balanced, with tons of tiki inspired styles for brunch. The apps were large and can easily be shared with a group. The entrees were delicious and perfect portions, and overall the price was on par with the area. They did slightly overcook the steak so I might recommend one rarity lower than you usually get. But overall highly recommend coming here for brunch, as the nachos were great too!

If you're going to Riviera Village, you have to go here. The food is great. The servers are top notch and the drinks are works of art. If you need a place to go for everything, bring your people here. And if anything, start your night here and you will have a great launch into the rest of your evening. You might even catch me here...

Google
Very nice casual yet upscale restaurant. Prices are reasonable for LA and this is in a hot spot location with many fun bars and places to eat. Oysters were good but small/$23 for 6. Our entrees were fantastic. Loved the pasta with shrimp! Great service! VictorB

Came for a dinner on a Tues night. Greeted by amicable staff, no wait time, paid street parking available. Relatively small selection of food but plenty of drinks, if that is your jam. Quick service, good food but pricing was a little on the high side relative to other establishments nearby (herbed salmon was $32 vs average of $25 nearby). Three servers were rotating our table at times and seemed confused on who was actually serving us, which ultimately made us confused albeit we appreciated the attention. Ambiance was great, "cozy" but felt open with the side doors open.

Google
came here on a whim because i feeling their patio vibes. great atmosphere and truly amazing customer service. have to mention the incredible drink too! only reason i docked a star for food was that the guac wasn’t as good as everything else. but i inhaled the chips it came with. i heard another table say they’re made in house. perfect chip. got a shrimp and fish tacos shrimp was great but that was one of the best fish tacos ive ever had AND they have a taco tuesday special? 🥳 have to say for the record that their Caipirinha was better than the one i had on vacation in south america. would absolutely recommend and seek riviera house out when i’m back in the area! THANK you for letting me camp and make calls on your patio for two hours today!!

Here's a mI've had dinner at this restaurant many times, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed evening out. During my last visit, I had a beet salad, and it was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or something a bit more special, this place is always a great choice.

Google
Delicious food! I had the sea bass - it was cooked well. Loved it on the rice pilaf. My husband had the picaña - unfortunately it was a little overcooked. Still wonderful flavor from both dishes. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
This place is my favorite place in Riviera Village! I love their brunch, and their cocktails are masterfully crafted. My favorite brunch dish is their avocado toast and my husband loves the steak and eggs. We recently went to their Tiki Thursday deal and had an amazing burger meal with some Tiki drinks and everything was so yummy! The waiters are always so kind and welcoming. And the venue is very beach-y and relaxing.

Yelp
This is mistakingly a Rock & Brews Review vs. the Riviera House, that I was unfortunately unable to delete via Yelp: Excellent customer service experienced via Waiter, Benjamin, that truly demonstrated the precise Rock & Brews treatment, that at times can be a hit and miss. And also greatly enjoyed their delicious Spicy Watermelon Margarita, Tri-tip Tacos and Purple Rain Drops!

Yelp
Wow! You won't be disappointed. The bartenders are artists, the food is amazing and the ambiance is FUN. I love sitting at the bar and having a cocktails and sharing a meal. Great Cheeseburger! The staff is my favorite part! Real pros. You can sit outside too!

Vanessa C.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner me and my husband went out. The food was delicious, the ceviche oysters were fresh. I really enjoyed the meal. The customer service was awesome, definitely will be returning.

Yelp
Love this spot for drinks and apps. Such a fun vibe and very creative cocktails. Great location in the Riviera

Yelp
We went here for the first time last night in a double date and we had the best time !! The food was so yummy ! We got there early enough for the happy hour menu . We started off with the Thai calamari and an Ahi tostado dish which we all devoured . We did asada tacos, grilled shrimp, and fried fish tacos and loved them . The waitress , Sam, was great and her service was quick and friendly . She even threw in creme brulee cheesecake for dessert on the house when we jokingly told her we don't get out much ! We will definitely come back , hopefully sooner than later .

Vicki Goldbach V.

Yelp
We loved the Riviera house! The service and friendliness is amazing. The ambience is perfect and the food has been so yummy including the tiki burger , the crème brûlée cheesecake and brussels sprouts!! Big shout out to the host Evan , who is extra friendly and went out of his way to see us at a nice table near the heater when he saw that we were cold. Our server Torin was wonderful and so friendly ! We will be back often.

Yelp
We had dinner at Riviera House and it was a very nice. The restaurant was very clean. Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. I ordered a drink not listed on the menu and it was just okay. The salmon was excellent. The steak was a little too fatty for my taste and probably would not order it again. We also had the Truffle fry's which were so good they seemed to vanish before I could take a photo. Not sure the kids would find something they liked, we only saw 1 child and I think he was related to the owner but I am not sure. I would say it was a more adult friendly place than a kid friendly place. But I did not ask for a kids menu so they might have one.

Yelp
Fun restaurant in a cute little neighborhood. Friendly staff. They have a vast array of specialty cocktails, however they're all on the tarty side. Even drinks like the MaiTai were no that sweet. The food is top notch. The chilled seafood platter was a good starter with fresh oysters, large shrimp, and ceviche. The truffle fries were nice and thick and flavorful. The sea bass with risotto was excellent. My friends got the salmon entree, the scallops, the salmon sandwich, and the Picanha steak and loved all of them.

Henrietta M.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing drinks (including cool off menu cocktails), great service, beautiful restaurant, and prime location! The coconut shrimp was flavorful and the honey-Sriracha sauce had a nice kick. Oysters were fresh and shucked cleanly. The shrimp ceviche had the right amount of citrus. The Pusherman was refreshing and perfect for sweet lovers. The M80 (off menu) was my favorite! It had mezcal and ginger. Highly recommend, also enjoyed waking around the area after lunch.

Tanya C.

Yelp
I haven't had any food here it's mostly a review on the drinks and ambiance. It's a great place to sit outside w the heaters and people watch. The cocktails are all good. I like sweet drinks but our waitress Sam she was awesome btw and suggested the "Dolly Daydream " I fell in love with this tasty refreshing drink. Thanks bartender you make great drinks. I love this place , the people who work here and location location location you will love this place too

Yelp
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant! Cute space and nice heated patio. The food was good, but nothing too crazy. My favorite was the steak with jalapeño chimichurri! Check my photos for rankings on eat item.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Rivera House, and it was truly an outstanding experience. I ordered the California Benedict, and it was nothing short of amazing. The blend of flavors and freshness of the ingredients made it a delightful choice. My dining partner went for the standard breakfast, which was solid and satisfying. Even the little ones had a fantastic time with their waffles topped with berries - a sweet and wholesome treat. The emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The service at Rivera House was impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and we enjoyed some great people-watching as well. This is a place I'll undoubtedly return to.

Yelp
I would highly recommend coming to Riviera house! Our waitress, Sam and Mark the manager took very well care of us. We were treated like family! We would highly recommend it for lunch, dinner. Food was great.

Erroll A.

Yelp
You have a lot of choices along Catalina Ave in Redondo, but we go back to Riviera every time. The service & food are always consistent--it's what you remember most. But then Saturday surprised us when we got seated at their new outdoor lounge--def giving "laid-back, cool vibe" on an otherwise ubiquitous row of restaurants. #unexpected. A family w 2 small kids sat at next sofa & table; great to see them enjoy dinner while kids hang (or drop a drink) without angst! Great place for cocktails w the girls, or catch a game and people watch (we all do). When you go--make sure to say hello to the GM (Mark) who thought of everything so you feel "at home". And whatever you do, do not leave without the creme brûlée cheesecake. You can ask forgiveness on Sunday. #impressedacritic

Yelp
We went today for brunch it was good! We were able to get seated right away and order drinks. Their Pisco sour was really really good! I had their fish and chips. It was decent for fish and chips! My wife got the spicy chicken sandwich and loved it because she ate it all! It's nice to sit in one of there booths so you can people watch. We definitely will be back when in the area!

Rose P.

Yelp
It's been a minute since I've given Riviera House a review. I kinda only have one thing to say: Best. Manhattans. In. The. South. Bay. To be honest, the service is either A-MA-ZIng or just okay. But still 5 out of 5 stars if only for the manhattans. Sidebar: come on whiskey Wednesdays! All classic whiskey cocktails are only $11.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Great food, impeccable service and nice ambiance. Great for people watching in the Hollywood Riviera. Went to celebrate friend's birthday, we had a fantastic time.

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Menu is decent, quality of food is questionable with farm raised and frozen fish. I ordered the Brussel sprouts, they were great! Calamari was nothing special, Scrawny but came with a unique tasty sauce. The mussels were decent fairly small but decent served in a fantastic one of a kind curry sauce! Lastly, superb pistachio cake!!!! Great ambiance............. Service sucked!! Big Time!!! Our table was crowded with dishes just sitting there waiting to be picked up, Server comes by and leaves every time empty handed, menus on the table, empty glasses. Im seriously pissed off that our servers were incapable of doing their flipping job.. All of them in this case! probably thats why Bartenders should not serve tables! 4 different people came to our table we didnt know who was who but all of them walked away leaving the finished plates etc...... on table. It didnt seem like anyone was communicating with anyone. Waited 30 min for our dessert :/ and another 20 for the check ........Uggghhhh Food and Ambiance over all was good but spoiled by the staff, and to put the icing on the cake The host seemed pretty disrepectful almost raming past me as were exiting the front, didnt even have respect to stop in her track and say thank you. If I was the owner, I'd cut a few of these people, I wouldn't want to be represented this way. I feel like the place had more than enough staff just wayyyy below par.

Ben L.

Yelp
We came here to have lunch. We ordered strawberry salad, egg&sausage(kid's menu), oyster, curry mussels first. Dishes were all ok, but I couldn't understand why sausage in kid's menu is spicy. My kids couldn't be able to eat. Not just spicy, buy also strong flavored spices were there. So we had to order more for them. We ordered coconut shrimp and egg benedict. Milk was not even served till now(included in kid menu), so i had to tell them again. Both dishes were tasty, but we waited for another 30 minutes and kids didn't want to eat anymore..... :(

Yelp
Oh boy, what a treat!! My girlfriends and I were staying at the Terrenea Resort near by and looking for a final brunch spot on our way out of town and my fellow yelpers did not lead me astray! I personally wanted a seafood brunch and when I saw the lobster Benedict listed on the menu, I was sold! I was mostly interested in the menu offerings, but man was I so impressed with the decor upon entry as well. We were seated pretty speedily on a Sunday, which I was not expecting. However, we were visiting in off-season, so that might not always be true. The ambience is so nice with elements of boating and the sea, and cute touches laced throughout. My friends and I all admired the green and gold bar stools and winding ropes atop. I've got to tell you that I was tempted by the list of specialty cocktails, but I was really craving a good classic Bloody Mary, which wasn't listed, and it was made just right for me! Hit the spot in a way one always should! My girlfriend got the mezcal drink and it was simply beautiful in color and with a neat long ice cube. We were also served waters right away without being asked, which I always appreciate. The business operated that morning with no specific waiter assigned, but every server checking in and pitching in. Which I personally like sometimes, especially if it's a busy restaurant. They all moved like a well-oiled machine. My girlfriends started out with the clam chowder and I got one delicious spoonful they shared. Good flavor and bits of clam even in that one bite. It was better than the clam chowder at the resort. It also came with toast opposed to crackers, which made one of my friends very happy. I got the lobster Benedict and it was a perfectly filling plate. The presentation was gorgeous and the breakfast potatoes have to be a top three for me. They reminded me of smashed oven roasted potatoes I've seen recipes before online. Perfectly soft inside with crispy bits everywhere. It was my first lobster Benedict I've ever had, but even still I was impressed with the amount they serve for a portion and how well seasoned it was. The poached egg perfectly cooked and a delicious hollandaise. I finished every bite of Benedict and potatoes. My friend got the classic Benedict and another friend had their coconut shrimp as her entree as she lives in Oklahoma now and doesn't get it often. The shrimp appetizer looked beautiful in presentation and everyone left very pleased. Parking could take up to 15mins so I'd just budget that into your time, but my friends and I were lucky to find a meter in about five minutes. The location is worth it. I walked off my brunch and visited the beach. What a slice of heaven this area of California is! I envy you if you're reading this and planning your visit here :) cheers!

Yelp
Great food and interesting cocktail menu. We were there for four hours and had incredible service from Max and Travis. It was a busy Friday night, but the attention we received made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Beautiful, sunny open space as well.

Genie L.

Yelp
Very good brunch food, in a great location. Fun fact: this old location was my first ever Yelp review (formerly Sophie's) We made a reservation and were seated promptly at reservation time. The decor is very cute. Bright, airy and wonderful patio seating. Hostess and our server were friendly, but stressed out, and it shows. They seemed overwhelmed or disengaged at times. But one of our servers was somewhat apologetic, explaining another table was being difficult. The French toast with fresh berries was delicious, but they forgot the whipped cream so we had to ask for it, and glad we did, it was very good. Make sure you get the whipped cream, it's the best part. The breakfast burrito was very good, All the flavors married so well together. The Cali benedict was also good. Didn't really need the shrimp, but was a nice touch and cooked perfectly. Overall, good experience and I'd definitely come back to try other dishes and the cocktails, which all sounded and looked great.

Yelp
Was in town for the weekend and decided to treat my Mom to their Mother's Day Brunch because I couldn't think of a better place to spoil my Mom than The Riv House. The ambiance on the Riviera strip is simply amazing. The staff is as friendly as they come (our server was Matias and he was such a delight) and the food...well, the food is just always quality and some of the best in Redondo. My Mom had an amazing Eggs Benedict and a sparkling wine cocktail that she won't stop raving about. I had the chilaquiles and they were sooo good!!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I can't wait to take my Mom there again soon. :)

Yelp
Came for a dinner on a Tues night. Greeted by amicable staff, no wait time, paid street parking available. Relatively small selection of food but plenty of drinks, if that is your jam. Yelp
Honestly it's on me for not asking if the oysters come in a variety or not. Just paid $45 and change for some baby oysters. At the same time it does say market price so guess it's my fault for not being as thorough. Drinks were great though Got the pusherman The perfect something 10:10 Gonna swing by next week to see what other oysters they got

Crystal D.

Yelp
A few of us met for dinner on a Saturday night and we had reservations. They sat us right away and didn't push us to order quickly which was greatly appreciated as we had a lot of catching up to do. I have a ton of food allergies and they were able to accommodate me with the salmon dish. Everyone was happy with their food and drinks. Only drawback was the weather. Since most of the restaurant is outdoors, it was cold because it was very windy. It would be lovely on a warmer night.

Zlatko J.

Yelp
Oh well, here it goes... "what a horrible dining experience"... I do not maliciously or purposely leave reviews to sound awful, never have and never will. This was just one of those times where "it is, what it was" and needs to be said. I will start with the only positive part of this evenings experience, which was being with my wife, outside on the apron, in a booth, just before sunset and enjoying our company at this beautiful evening, at this restaurant. This restaurant is positioned well and the patio dining area is fantastic.. your able to enjoy the outdoors and the Torrance village area, all the while the sun goes down over a couple drinks and what we hoped would be a good dinner... (Wishful thinking, we almost had a perfect eve j til the dinner part) The food and dining experience, here it goes, and please know that I don't take pleasure in my describing my disappointment here, but it needs to be said! We ordered appetizers... A Cesar Salad (Horrible, and you ask why, and/or how can you mess up a Cesar Salad you ask). It came out dry as can be, I "absolutely" had to order and additional serving of the dressing... which then was delivered in a small container, that could not even be poured onto the salad. It was so thick, maybe thicker than a Mayonnaise spread, "It would not even poor out, so very thick I really thought they were giving me something to spread on toast", haha... (we didn't even have any toast or bread, that's the funny thing)... I should have complained right there and then, but instead, We made the best of it by dipping our lettuce into the small container to get some remanence of dressing on the leaves of our lettuce)... along with the salad, we also ordered the grilled Brussel Sprouts, which were good, all things considered during that time. Then we ordered our entree's - My wife ordered the Salmon BLT, which she says was pretty good, but... seeing what I ordered and my disappointment in my entree, I think it took away from her enjoyment of her dish. I also think we both had our heads still shaking from the disappointing salad appetizer. Let's get back to my entree, which was the Herbed Salmon. This dish was nothing more than a piece of salmon, which layer onto a bed of steamed rice and some asparagus pieces .... This was totally misleading from what I expected from what is printed on the menu. What it came out as was terrible and for the whopping $32 dollar price tag, it was disappointing and almost a joke in itself. I am not one that cares about the $32 because I expected it to actually be the Herbed Salmon plate as described... let's get to it, It came out Very Blandly grilled...the Seasonal Veggies as described (Nope, I didn't get that on the plate, I got a few cut up pieces of Asparagus and that is it) and the Chimichurri... Ha, I'm not sure if what their take on Chimichurri is, but I didn't see any Chimichurri anywhere on my plate...however, I did see some decorative, what looked like Red pickled shaved carrot strips, "what a joke"... the menu was totally misleading. "No" interpretation of the items ordered to make me believe I would be served something entirely different than what I read as printed on that menu... the Salmon looked like a piece of frozen Salmon I buy at Costco in the frozen bag, the rice was just steamed with a hint of truffle oil, but as far as seasonal Veggies, haha... come on, just say it's asparagus (I don't even like or cannot even eat asparagus)... and if it's Chimichurri (please google Chimichurri.. I can assure you there was No chimichurri served anywhere on my plate)... I was hopeful I would just be served as such described on the menu. If it's a different take, on any items, then please have the servers advise customers as such, whatever your kitchen/chef's take is on original items, the difference should be presented and the expectations should be set before ordered... that would have helped and this horrible dining experience could have been avoided... I would have just ordered the Fish & Chips as I know it would have and could only be fish and chips‍‍, I would hope! At the end of the day, I would only give this place a 1 star and only because of location, the booth on the patio and the Brussel sprouts being as expected... otherwise, "I Do Not recommend or will not refer this restaurant to friends and/or family or to our honest Yelp friend community...

Davy M.

Yelp
Awesome spot! For lunch or dinner - ambiance is perfect even for a bigger party. Staff is friendly and attentive. Anything from the appetizer menu is DEELISH! Ahi Nachos, Tempura Green Beans (yum), and Truffle Fries...drinks are amazing too! From the simple Farniente Chardonnay to a fun mixed cocktail - you won't be disappointed.

Ruth L.

Yelp
Came for brunch on a Sunday and I loved everything about this place! Service was fast, attentive, and super friendly. LOVED the modern beachy ambiance and laid-back vibes! We shared the chicken and waffles and a side of fruit. The chicken is boneless (convenient to eat) and breaded with panko(?) which made it extra crunchy. Reminded me of Japanese chicken katsu. It's served with honey butter and honey Sriracha which were both super delish. Wish I lived nearby. I would definitely be a regular if I did.

Mike L.

Yelp
I had to update this after going a second time it truly was a spectacular dining experience from the service to the food quality and presentation. The California Chicken Sandwich, Salmon BLT and Chowder tots were amazing. We left stuffed. We look forward to coming back again soon!

Laura W.

Yelp
Good, again. Brussel Sprouts, coconut Shrimp, Short ribs and mashed potatoes. Best thing was the Shrimp Tacos! Nice staff. Nice looking place. We like the 1/2 booth just inside the door. Good food. See you next time.

Rose J.

Yelp
Redondo Bch/ Riviera area is you quintessential beach town vibe with street lined up with casual restaurants. The ocean breeze wafting in the air along with smell of sea water. My husband and I scheduled a date night with family members and it had been a minute since I've actually dined in the area so I used my handy dandy Yelp page to guide me to figure out the best spot for dinner. What drew me here was openness of the restaurant; the feeling of being outdoors yet physically still indoors. I'm still a bit Covid-phobic. We were greeted by smiling hostesses and were seated immediately. Our server quickly followed suit and took our drink order while we waited for the other guest to arrive. Drinks and app's arrived quickly and were quite tasty. We ordered oysters and poke nachos while we caught up with each other. All so good that they were devoured quickly. Our meals were amazing. The short ribs were tender and flavorful, sea bass divine, & and with large portion of the beer battered fish and chips. Topped dinner off with crème brûlée and bread pudding and dessert coffee's. This place was great find. I gave them one less star due to poor parking.

Steph S.

Yelp
Ate here for brunch with the hubby about a week ago. He ordered the breakfast sandwich and I ordered a cup of clam chowder and the chicken ceasar salad. It's was busy, but staff was very nice and seated us outside within 15 min. It was a nice day to sit outside and people/car watch. Server was great and food came out fairly quickly. My husband wasn't too much of a fan with his breakfast sandwich. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. He didn't like the taste of the sausage. It was pretty strong with sage flavor. It was $16 for a small breakfast sandwich. My dishes were alright also. Nothing exceptional. Maybe it's because it was brunch? I don't know. Maybe we'll give it another try but for dinner.

Lauren T.

Yelp
Love the Riviera House! Mark the manager always makes us feel special and welcomed. Both outdoors and indoors are beautiful and nicely decorated. The double cheeseburger and chicken sandwich are both great. Loved the ahi poke appetizer as well. They also have great cocktails!

Becky P.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant over 5+ times in the past years yet sadly I must leave this review based on my visit last Friday (10/20) for drinks and appetizers. Service was good and the staff did a great job on that front, however my husband and I fell down with a bad case of food poisoning after eating here. We had no other food that evening so it was definitely what we ate at Riviera that did us in. Our whole night and the next day was miserable, throwing up and feeling awful from the food that we ingested. I'm not sure if it was the oil the food was cooked/fried in but this has not happened to me in ages and I eat all over the world. I would like to consider this spot in the future as they have some good selections on their menu and nice wines, but after our experience will be seeking out other options.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I will be honest: it wasn't really my first choice for a Mother's Day brunch, but this day wasn't about me: it is for the Moms we were celebrating and I felt they would much prefer the menu here. Party of 7, we came through 15 minutes earlier than our 1230p reservation, so it was only fair we didn't have a table ready... only to learn our table was actually ready, but they just weren't ready to seat us. No biggie, we were seated a few minutes later. The menu was pretty easy to navigate, but first: their bottomless mimosas! Only to learn they were out of it already. My entire table was disappointed - how are they out of this already only halfway through a Saturday brunch?! So, yeah... expectations went downhill from there. But I still have good hopes for at least an okay time. I went for a Bloody Mary, everyone else had mimosas (just not bottomless) or water. 2 DOZEN OYSTERS: fresh and delicious. Didn't even need the cocktail/horseradish sauce or mignonette vinegar. But as delicious as they were, they were difficult to enjoy when there are remnants of shucked shells within these mollusks. One out of 24 is excusable, but when more than half of them had 'em, it's deliberate. There was no love or care when these were shucked and served. Disappointing. TRUFFLE FRIES: This was a HIT! Other tables had it and the aroma wafted to our table so we had to have it. Prepped to order, great crunch, great seasoning. This I would recommend. NE CLAM CHOWDER: Also a hit with those who ordered. Plenty to share with another but also too delicious to share with another. This I would recommend. AHI POKE NACHOS: This was the entire table's favorite! There was nothing wrong with this dish, it was perfect! They used fried wontons (vs nachos) which made it better, the tuna was perfectly seasoned and the sauce and garnish were great sidekicks. This plate was clean in no time. They definitely got this one right. CHOWDER TOTS: Okay, we got this out of curiosity. (Clam chowder with tots? Come on, now...) Curiosity satisfied when it was delivered to our table. This was more like a poutine, really... but good. But I gotta warn that this is a heavy app. I would recommend it to be shared. LOX BENEDICT: Presentation needed a a little work and after a bit, so did the food. The lox was sooooooo salty - and that's saying a lot for someone who tends to like food on the saltier side. The poached eggs did very little to tame the salt level. Even the potatoes were just as salty. I couldn't get through the plate. I stopped a little less than halfway through. BLOODY MARY: First one was great, the second one, not so much. Like the lox Benedict, it was incredibly salty. I added a little water to tame it but naturally, it altered the taste of the entire glass - yet still remained salty. FOOD: 2. Although I will say the rest of my party might have had a better experience on this than I did. SERVICE: 3. Average at best, and that's being generous. We all felt our server might be new because he dropped the ball on a few things (he walked away in the middle of us ordering apps, he forgot what kind of drink I had, etc.,) but again... I'm trying to be a little more than fair. VALUE: 3. If only for the ahi nachos, chowder and truffle fries. PARKING: Street if you're lucky but there's a huge metered lot about half a block behind the restaurant. OVERALL: 2.75. I was hoping for a better experience but we left feeling kinda... meh. The Moms we were celebrating did have a grand time, though, so that's important. I just wish that applied to everyone else. I'm not feeling solid about putting them in my one-and-done list, though, so there *** might *** just be a second visit somewhere in the distant future.

Yelp
Great menu for Sunday brunch and kid friendly items (not Mac and cheese / pizza etc) real selections. Cocktails are great! **On a side note I wish they would consider serving wild caught Mexican shrimp not black tiger prawns. Service is attentive but try to avoid a walk in the hostess will put you in the back of the line for table selection of you don't have a RSVP.

Yelp
Food was great, especially the brussel sprouts and salmon BLT. Carne asada in the tacos was a little tough though. Great vibe here with the indoor-outdoor seating and easy visibility to watch the game, even from patio booths. They have heaters when it gets cooler at night. Our server was great!

Yelp
Four stars for attentive and kind service, a great ambiance and decor and views of PV from your table. Minus one star for the food being just ok. We ordered the ahi tuna nachos and the smash burger, both great ideas and exciting menu pieces but both lacking true pizzazz. The burger had a bit of a salty finish and the nachos had a bit too much sauce that slightly overpowered the dish. The beer and cocktail selection were good and they had a great happy hour drink menu. Everyone who worked there was very attentive to us. I really liked the style of the inside, beachy trendy bungalow. I think I will be back for cocktails at some point!

Yelp
This place turned out to be a big disappointment. Food: The menu is fairly limited to a few dishes. I was hoping that since there are not a lot of choices so the food would turn out to be better and oh boy, I was so wrong and disappointed. Fish and Chips: it was just blah. The fries tasted like some frozen fries you could probably get from any market. The fish had ZERO TASTE and deep fried to a point that it tasted like fish jerky. Fajitas: two of my friends got the Fajitas (with chicken) and they both said the same thing after eating the food that the Fajitas look health with veggie and meat and some rice but NO TASTE. What disappointed even more was there was no sides. Usually at other places, they would come with at least a small side of guac or salsa. Here, there was nothing but maybe a bottle of hot sauce (only if you ask for it). Drinks: oh boy... all I can say is overpriced diluted alcohol with LOTS OF ICE. The only thing going on for this place, in my humble opinion, was the decor and ambiance. It has a nice outdoor seating area with nice couch and pillows. Romantic place for a first date near the beach (a block away from the beach) but honestly for the food they serve, better take your hungry tummy and fat wallet somewhere next door or across the street.

Yelp
Love the ambience here! Manager Mark is amiable & accommodating. Our server, Max, was kind & attentive. I had the fried fish tacos ( dove right in, forgot to take a pic!). I totally recommend this Hollywood Riviera place for a nice or casual dinner out! One of our go-to places!

Yelp
Great food, love their smash burgers, and very friendly service! Great value! Fun neighborhood place for a great lunch or dinner ... only a block from ample parking!

Yelp
Food good, service good but I have to knock a Star off because there was an empty booth and they wouldn't give it to us because they said it was reserved even though I did make reservations in advance. And then no one sat there.

Yelp
I would highly recommend going to Riviera House. The service and the food were amazing.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant numerous times and although I have never had the same server twice I've experienced the same exceptional service and food every SINGLE time! Last time we were graced by Sam who put up with us lingering for quite a while. I am pretty particular with margaritas, and these are some of the best I've ever tasted in a restaurant. Cannot recommend this place enough. And kudos to whoever the manager is!

Yelp
Easily the best cocktail program anywhere in the South Bay, though their newer "luxury" items on the drink menu are a turnoff. We'll gladly stick to their other expertly crafted adult beverages, and hope they phase out the $25 margaritas. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Many do double duty behind the bar, so they know their stuff. What is more, we've never ordered anything from the kitchen that wasn't outstanding. Now our favorite place for an amazing cocktail. No one else comes close.
