Went to the Riviera Supper Club with numerous tourist sites, and social media recommendations, as it was our first time in Glenwood for more than a single day trip. My significant other wanted to surprise me (very sweet). We had a reservation for 19:30, arrived and checked in at host stand at 19:19, were told to give them 15-20 minutes to catch-up and if we would take a walk around the block. We did just that, came back at 19:37. We were seated within 5 minutes of returning. We then proceeded to wait 16 minutes before our server came to take our “drink” order, we ordered everything then. We requested an appetizer of truffle fries, which we didn’t receive (it wasn’t on the bill either)-thankfully. We waited about 25 mins for our meals, I got the stroganoff and my significant other got prime rib. Our meals arrived. The stroganoff was very good, very rich sauce, good flavor profile. The home-made garlic bread was delicious! However, my significant other’s prime rib was underdone to how it was requested to be made. Approximately 65% of it was fat, the other 35% was the meat. The mashed potatoes served with primed rib were very good, according to him! So kudos for the potatoes! My significant other preferred my dish to theirs, which is disheartening. I let my significant other finished my plate, as I was full & satisfied. Our server only checked in on us as we finished our meal, which I understand as it was a busy Friday evening, but it fell short. The bill came and for the lack luster ambience, delayed seating, delayed yet minimal service , it felt overpriced for what you’d call an average meal.
