Rixos Premium Dubrovnik (Dubrovnik, Croatia) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s perhaps not surprising in this ever more connected world that the Turkish-based Rixos luxury-hotel group should count the Dalmatian coast of Croatia among its most successful venues. Rixos Premium Dubrovnik stands on a cliffside overlooking the sea, a mile from the walled medieval old town, its rooms and suites cascading down the terraced slope like benches in a Roman theatre. It’s an impressive site, to be sure, and makes for impressive views — against such a backdrop, the hotel itself could get away with shirking some of its responsibilities, and it’s to its great credit that it doesn’t." - Tablet Hotels

Currently staying at the Rixos Premium ( day 2 of 4), in what I would grade as a four star hotel, definitely not five star. |This is our first visit to Dubrovnik and our choice of hotel was between the Hilton Imperial or here at the Rixos. We chose the Rixos due to its close proximity to the water.|Next time we would choose the Hilton.|Our first evening we ate at the Greek restaurant and was quite shocked at the high price which was not reflected in the food. Paying €32 for chicken souvlaki which consisted of six small pieces of chicken and did not include any French fries, I mean hardly gourmet and really a €20 dinner but that’s a captive market for you!| We ordered the French fries at €9 which was supposed to come with feta and oregano. I think at best it was one small cube of feta sprinkled over the top of the straggly chip ends. We were very disappointed and had we known we would have made the effort to go into the old town to eat but as we had only arrived early evening we thought we would eat in the hotel. In essence, don’t bother!|The rooms themselves are quite light. airy and spacious, however you can see that this is an old Hotel when you look down and into the corners! |The gym has some nice modern equipment however it would be nice if they could make the extra effort to supply some cold water rather than the awful lukewarm bottles.|Breakfast is good, the variety of foods to suit the majority of peoples diets. And again the use of the water bottles which are simply refilled and are placed upon your table with previous users fingerprints, and today’s also had some milk running down the side… Delightful!|Ordering a coffee seems to be somewhat an ordeal , when requesting a pot of coffee I somehow ended up with black coffee in a glass and had to ask for milk separately but was pointed to an already used milk which again had fingerprints on the side from previous use.|The staff are friendly and welcoming. |The pool area is nice and clean and the views out to the Adriatic sea are superb.

This hotel is our last one in Croatia and it did not disappoint. We had gorgeous view of the Adriatic Sea. Our first breakfast here was perfect with a large spread. But most unique experience was table side Omelette station. Shiva, who was tending the table side Omelette station, made us the most perfect omelette exactly the way we liked it. He was so polite and professional. I even took a video and photo of him. We highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved the Rixos Hotel. It's a fairly short walk to the Old Town but we spent most of the time in the hotel. The breakfasts offer a huge amount of variety, the poolside has steps straight down into the turquoise blue water, the spa had a great range of rooms (sauna, Turkish bath, igloo etc.). One of the highlights were the daily yoga and aquafit classes with Maria which I want to do more of when I go again next year.

My wife and I stayed here for one night because our plans changed, and we extended in Dubrovnik. Now we wish we would have stayed at Rixos for our entire stay! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even surprised us with a slice of cake and a bottle of wine in the room for my wife’s birthday! The room was very nice, especially the shower. And the daily breakfast was excellent. The pool and the poolside drinks were also great! Rixos is a must stay.

Safety was not taken seriously. Latch on my door was snapped off (as if someone pushed the door in) and they would not fix it until I called American Express concierge who forced them to. The reasoning there was a double lock on the door. I wish I could have switched hotels immediately but it was already paid for. I was also put in a terrible area of the hotel that I did not feel safe in and had a lot of noise (I specifically asked for a room away from the stairs and was originally placed by two stair cases). I eventually was moved to another room (they were reluctant) and customer service was extremely rude about it. I was told there would be more noise in that room (it was ten times quieter than the first). Why email and ask my preferences if you weren’t going to honor them? I believe once they found out I was a solo traveler, they could throw me in whatever room they wanted. The lack of cleanliness and housekeeping barely didn’t anything is another issue. The water provided in the rooms was fine but the lid of the bottle was absolutely disgusting as if not been cleaned in ages and that part was touch the water. It was blackened as if it was mold. I bought my own water after that. Don’t stay here if you like safe, clean hotels.

Our stay at Rixos Hotel in Dubrovnik was truly wonderful! The staff were outstanding always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel special throughout our visit. Their professionalism and warmth really set this hotel apart. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was simply breathtaking endless Adriatic blue with the Old Town of Dubrovnik in the distance. A sight we will never forget! If there is one small suggestion, it would be that the room furniture could use some refreshing to match the otherwise exceptional standard of the hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for top-class service and unforgettable views!

Shockingly disappointed. Holding the name Rixos “Premium”, our experience at the hotel was far from that. The rooms are very outdated, dirty, even some furniture broken and literally hanging off the wall. We had to request a room change and the second room wasn’t much better. Amenities in the room aren’t any better, very outdated TVs with only cable TV, WiFi doesn’t work, shower water doesn’t stay at a constant temperature so you end up burning or freezing yourself. The beachfront and pool is complete chaos. Not enough sun-beds to accommodate hotel guests so you borderline have rush there early to get a sun-bed and if you’re lucky the sun-umbrella isn’t broken. Towels are provided but most are dirty “because of the machine.” The space is completely overcrowded barely leaving 30cm in between beds, which just makes you feel like you’re packed in like sardines and creates a maze to walk around. Probably the worst part is that the whole area is also open to public who end up taking space from guests and then use the “private” swimming pool. Nonetheless most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, trying to help where they could. The dinner buffet was also nice even though the themed nights were incorrectly publicised. All in all, it’s much more worth getting a cheaper hotel with nicer rooms nearby and then going to the Rixos to use its beachfront free of charge. Unfortunately nothing about the hotel is 5-star let alone premium.

We had a wonderful stay at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A special thank you to Stephan at reception, who was incredibly professional, attentive, and welcoming. When we experienced an issue with cigar smoke in our room, Stephan immediately arranged for us to be upgraded to another room. The way the situation was handled—swiftly, politely, and with genuine care—made a huge difference in our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional service. Thanks again to Stephan and the entire team for making our time in Dubrovnik such a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.
