OMG, after 9 years Living in the area, we finally give a chance to this place, and I highly recommend it, now I regret not coming here sooner, the Italian Fried chicken is one of the best I ever had, my wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich it was good, also worthy to Mentioned couple of weeks earlier I ordered a large pizza (pepperoni, blackboard mushrooms) it was delicious for 20 USD , I can barely eat 2 slices, they are heavy and delicious. We will be back soon.

This pizza is a size large and was $17 after tax. Plain cheese pizza with cheese on only half of the pizza and not very big for a large. Way too much sauce, too. I’ve ordered here a few times and their service is always quite slow, so this was probably my last time.

Delicious pizza, sorry for the lack of a better picture, I was too hungry to wait. It was beautiful. 🍕I’m not sure what took so long for me to try this spot, had only ever been there for their custard. Pizza was divine. Would come back again!

Please throw away those old hard nasty rolls that are not edible. The fresh soft rolls with the seeds on top was a lovely change. Please ease up on all the salt. You are killing your best customers with the over salted chicken. Good seasoning doesn't mean 50lbs of salt. The old rolls must go. Leave that recipe in the 1950's. Please fry adult chickens and not little Cornish hens.

First time there today Super impressed best pizza ever... Perfect crust amazing sauce... It was so good had it for lunch and had to go back for dinner... We live about 30 min away ... definitely worth the drive...

went for the first time because I had an Entertainment Book coupon and it is always being delivered to the customers at my job (smelling very delicious). the server was lovely. my sister and I ordered the spaghetti with mushrooms and got side salads. Rizzi's has some of the best tomato sauce I have ever tasted & the garlic bread was pretty good as well. everything was fresh and came out in good timing. I would love to visit again sometime soon.

My first time ordering from here I called an ordered a white pizza, I didn’t realize I was using a name that is not on their menu. Mistakenly, I got the primavera pizza instead of the pizza Bianca that I wanted. When I called back and explained my mistake and how I am unfamiliar with their menu so I see what I messed up and the manager was very kind and offered to replace my pizza with the correct one. Very kind and friendly and service. I will certainly be back!

Rizzy's Pizza feels like a time capsule from the 1980s that's been lightly refurbished over the years but never quite let go of its signature brown-on-brown look. It's dated, but in a very intentional, old-school way. The pizza itself is a mixed bag--in a mostly good way. The crust is excellent for this style and easily the standout part of the pie. The sauce, though, is pretty one-dimensional. It works, but it could use more herbs and spices to really elevate it from ok to good. One thing that stood out less positively: the heavy advertising around awards they won nearly 20 years ago. At this point, it feels outdated and gives the impression that the restaurant hasn't evolved since then. The pizza is still solid, but it would be nice to see that same confidence backed up by more recent improvements

My mom bought a fish dinner for $12.99 for me on a Friday (june 13, 2025), it was the same 2 pcs I get on a Mcd fish sandwich for 2/$6 They also included 2 tartar sauces (heavy on mayo), 4 jojos, and a small cole slaw. I stopped going there years ago because everything tasted like it was microwaved and salty.

Best pizza in the Akron area! The sauce is so unique and delicious. Always cooked to perfection too.

I really do like Rizzi's Pizza and chicken !! Always hot!! I love their rolls and ALWAYS order two and two hot sauces .... which I NEVER get!!! Idk if they being petty cause they surly charge me for extra condiments or they forget, but every time????? Also their chicken is on smaller side the wing was itty bitty!! Coleslaw fresh and cold!!! Yummy

We were in the area and got takeaway The meatballs and sauce were amazing! As good as the best we've ever had and we've been to Italy a couple of times. Hubby said the sausage sandwich was the best too. Portions were good and prices reasonable. Definitely will be back! We don't live close but are looking for excuses to come here!

Best pizza in Fairlawn. Crust is crispy and savory. Spaghetti with meat sauce was perfectly seasoned.

10/10 the server had so much rizz I busted 72 times and then I tripped on a banana peel and accidentally started beating 7 homeless people to the ground and then we got freaky deaky!!! :3

We ordered delivery tonight because we were all eating pizza. The pizza here is delicious! Actually, all of there food is delicious. The person who took my order on the phone was helpful and friendly. She took the time to make sure my order was correct before the phone call ended. She also thanked me for calling Rizzi's. When I called the order in, I was told it would take about 45 minutes. The delivery time was closer to 35, which was wonderful! I didn't have to continue to take questions like "is the pizza here yet" from the family. The pizza arrived hot and fresh. The salad was kept separate, which I appreciated. The veggies on the salad were crisp! Loved the pizza! Great ratio of toppings to crust. The pizza here is really fresh and the sauce is amazing. Seasoned well! I also love the crust because you can taste that it's homemade and it holds toppings well. The salad here you'd really good too. All ingredients were fresh. Their house Italian dressing tastes great too. The delivery person was friendly and helpful too. We were handed the salad first and then given the pizza which was in an insulated delivery bag. The pizza was hot! Yummy!

Ordered a pizza and fried chicken. Pizza was bready and not very flavorful. While chicken was nicely battered and amazing crunch, it was so salty I had to peel the batter off to eat. And... I probably over salt my food as it is - generally speaking.

Just ordered a couple large double cheese and I noticed that the sauce has changed. I have been eating Rizis since 2013 so I know what the sauce is supposed to taste like, which was very good sauce. It's not the same sauce today as it was even a year ago. Anyone else ordered from Rizis lately and notice the sauce is not that good? I know I won't be buying their pizza anymore. Once you grow to love one particular pizza because of their ingredients, as soon as they cheap out or make a different recipe, like the sauce, you just don't go back.

I think it's the best pizza in Akron. Real Italian Sausage. Lunch sandwiches are also good.

Amazing custard for a good price! Their small cone is HUGE! Delicious pizza with quality toppings. SO GOOD!! Personally, wouldn't recommend their chicken. But someone else may like it. If you want to drop in to get food or ice cream be aware that there may be a loooooooong line. It's a popular place for good reason! If you order ahead you can pick up/pay at a drive thru window on the northeast side of the restaurant. They are not doing sit-in dining. But are quick and efficient in their carry out for how busy they are.

The rating is based on their food only .. Their pizza and Italian chicken dinner meal were pretty delicious!! But not impressed with their service... it took our waitress forever to get us refills and take our orders when they weren't really busy ... if we come back here I wouldn't mind trying the other stuff they offer I'm sure it will be great based on how their pizza and chicken were..

The best chicken, pizza, and jojos. One of my favorite restaurants. And you also won't be dissing their pasta dishes. Always satisfied!!

I ordered a small pizza for dinner as I was leaving work and they told me it would be about 25 minutes since I was picking up. I arrived 30 minutes later. I paid the bill then about 5 more minutes passed and the girl came to me said they "gave my food away and it would be another 12 minutes" because they had to cook another pizza since they "gave mine away." I asked for a refund and will never use this business again.

Just Love Love Love their pizza!! Awesome crunch to the crust! Fantastic cheese and toppings but the real gem is the sauce! Great balance of oregano and basil with a true Italian flavor without all the sugar sweetness that tends to be trending lately turning pizza into some hybrid meal/desert. Get this pie! You'll thank me later! Miss the old spot at summit mall listening to the sweet Jazz sounds of The Joe Rizzi trio!! Good times! Love to ALL!

Rizzi's delivers to the Courtyard in Akron. I'd skipped lunch, so I was starving for dinner. The hotel recommended this pizza place, but said the chicken was dynamite. I was leery of ordering fried chicken to be delivered to me, imagining it steaming in the delivery hot box for 45 minutes, but I must admit that I was very pleased with my dinner! 'Italian Fried' chicken was still crispy outside and juicy inside. The Super Snack is two chicken breasts, 'those potatoes' and a roll, for $7. Chicken pieces were large, with plentiful meat. Not sure why people'd go crazy for their potatoes - they're just wedges. I've also tried their Mini Pizza for One, $4.50 for one topping. Good enough pizza that I'd be willing to get it again... but it'll be hard to top their chicken. Other menu items include full Italian meals, like Linguine with Clams and Eggplant Parmigiana, various pasta dishes, salads and sandwiches.

Love coming to the ice cream window after baseball practice! The cones and shakes are perfectly priced. Take the whole family without breaking the bank!

Delicious pizzas!! But....don't bother going inside to order. My husband tried 3 times and couldn't even get waited on. They are sooo slow and inattentive. Even when my sons baseball team goes for ice cream, I don't even go anymore because it takes FOREVER. I mean cmon, it's a vanilla cone. How long can it take? I'd do delivery only with them.

They are good but the chicken is extremely salty and the food is overpriced. If they come down off the prices this place would be fantastic for a family outing

I went to this place to pick up some food, there was a young black man in front of me. He requested that the young lady or whatever she is that she put on gloves while serving him his ice cream cone and she refused to do so. When he left she was speaking to me and refer to him in the n word. She felt comfortable doing this because I'm white and I have a Confederate flag on my vehicle. However I'm not racist and I did not appreciate her referring to that man in that manner. I will not be going back to this place as a matter of fact I am going to patronize the black places that sell food and I encourage everyone to avoid this place it is horrible. I did not think racism exists it until I visited this place I thought racism had died down however I was drastically wrong about my thoughts. Racism is alive and well especially at rizzis!!

We were in the area and wanted to grab some dinner. We absolutely could not believe $2.95 for a pepsi and the same for iced tea. $6.00 for 2 beverage! Salads do not come with the meal and still ordered. Simple lettuce and some onions with their homemade italian dressing. The garlic bread does not come out before the meal.. yet it was prob worth the wait as it was really good. Hubby ordered pasta with plain tomato sauce. He had to order 2 meatballs on the side.. I had ordered gnochi with plain tomato sauce. The sauce was really good. there was way too much sauce to ea dinner. Overall very average and the bathroom is on the outside of the building.I really wanted to love this place. We will try and come back to try the pizza.

Took my son for lunch and was super happy overall. The waitress was awesome very good customer service and incredibly nice to my little guy. We had a pepperoni and ham pizza and it was great the ham was cubed instead of sliced and it was better that way. My son got ice cream and it came in a big bowl and they gave a cone on the side. The ice cream was delicious too. My son was very happy with everything giving it all a thumbs up. So we'll be back again. Thanks for the great service.

I love this place! I love their traditional spaghetti and even their veggie pizza is amazing! My other half loves their chicken Parmesan sandwich and they even have a ice cream walk up window!

Terrible. The bad thing is... it could be good and it's a local joint. But the owners and workers don't care. Burnt the heck out of my pizza tonight and just shrugged it off.... so good bye Rizzis.... it was nice knowing you.... and I've known you 40 years. Morons!

OMG I am full!!! We had the manicotti and it comes out hot! They provide the world's best garlic bread to dip into it while it cools. The salad was delish and you have to mix up the Italian dressing. Home made. Manicotti, when it cooled enough to eat, was full of flavor and very very cheesy. Service was excellent as always. Get the pitcher of pop instead of individual pops so you save a little money and not have to bother the waitress for every fill up. Only complaint is that the bathrooms are outside and cold. But that is the way it has always been, and will probably always be.

I really like the food. The pizza and sandwiches are all pretty good and that's why this place is getting two stars. The service here is pretty awful. I just went to pick up a pizza and was told that they'd accidentally given it to someone else. After waiting another 15 minutes I was told sorry and sent on my way. I live close so I'll probably get over it but for now I'm gonna say I'd never go back.

I've been eating here for 30+ years and the food has never changed, in a good way. Their pizza and pastas are salad, but my go-to has always been their Italian Fried Chicken. With a soft yet crunchy coating and meat that is always juicy, this meal is incomparable. Throw in their famous JoJo potato wedges and this meal is a slam dunk. I always order an all white meat deluxe chicken dinner, and it is always top notch.

Ordered a large cheese pizza and some jo jos last night. Pizza has a really nice and thick crust, and the sauce is also really good. However; for being described as a "large pizza", it was quite small. Still tasted good, though! The jo jos were amazing and super addictive as well.

Had high hopes for this place. We walked in and waited twenty minutes for our drinks to come. A soda is close to $3. The place wasn't too busy, but the waitress still mixed up our drinks the second time she refilled them. The menu has average prices and a large selection. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and I got the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. The order did not come out for about an hour. Do not order pasta from here- the pasta was doughy and the sauce had absolutely no taste. The pizza came out cold, but it was good. I would order take out, but be prepared to wait a while even for that. The reviews below support this.

I was visiting our Fairlawn office and they had Rizzi's delivered for lunch. I can't speak to the pricing since it wasn't my dime but the pizza was great. We had a meat lovers, a veggie and a pepperoni mushroom pie with a couple salads on the side. The pie was fantastic. I loved the cook on them...pretty much perfection and the crust had a little chew with a crisp outer....definitely worth trying again.

Normally we like Rizzi's Pizza, even though its sometimes on the greasy side. But last night I had a bad experience that didn't sit well with me. I ordered my usual meal of pizza, chicken and Jo Jo's. When I got my order, I did what I always do-check to make sure it's correct. When I opened my boxes, I realized that they gave me two orders of chicken instead of 1 order of chicken and 1 order of Jo Jo's. I immediately told the girl what happened. When I tried to hand one box of chicken back, I proceeded to tell the girl I had my hand in both box's looking for the Jo Jo's. She said just keep them and she will get our missing food for us. I said okay- thanks, thinking that was the end of the conversation. Boy was I wrong! When the girl comes back with my corrected order- she informs me that the manager/owner wanted 1 of the boxes of chicken that I hand my hands all over back. I said-OK, no problem- but remember I did have my hands all over the inside of that box. She said that manager/owner is aware of the situation, but they still want the extra box of chicken back. She then thought about it for a second and said just keep the food- I'll deal with the repercussions with management over this later. As I was driving away - I thought to myself, that is just gross! I was tempted to throw the food out I just brought, as I had images running through my head, of them doing this with my order to another customer and then turning around and selling it too me. I feel that since they were in the wrong and made the error, they should just have let me have the food. If that was my restaurant I would have done just that, instead of it being thrown in the trash.I have always been told once the food leaves the establishment- it can't be returned. Unless.... they were going to try and resell it... On a side note: When Rizzi's was at Summit Mall in the 80's they charged my credit card 47 times for one pizza!! Two months later I got my money. After giving them another chance- last night was the breaking point, I'm done!

The little guy loves his chicken & jojos so that's what we went with for his bday party. Not a fan of the chicken nor the jojos. Wonder when the last time was that they changed the oil in their fryers. And it wasn't cheap. $30 for 20 pieces of jojos and 20 pieces of chicken, I'm better off just making it at home.

The pizza was alright, the chicken was great. I did not care for the primavera pizza. It looked like they just put some of those mixed bag frozen veggies on there. It was expensive as far as take out pizza goes. They did deliver it quickly. I would get again for the chicken the pizza not so much.

Everything about Rizzi's deserves 5 stars. The food is incomparable and the employees are very friendly and timely. The super sub, hot, is a must!! I love everything about Rizzi's! From their salads, to their pizzas, to custard. They have it all and it's always delicious! I'll be a customer forever :)

This was the best place for chicken 10 years ago. I moved to Columbus and came back to Akron 3 years ago just went her 2 weeks ago and the food was SALTY EVEN THE PIZZA. I will never go back.

Best pizza I've had. We have eaten in multiple times although small it is a great little place!!

To expensive, 3 topping LG for almost 22. ? And the crust is ok at best. Kinda like the frozen stuff you can purchase at Acme.

Get. The. Ice. Cream. They have the traditional soft serve flavors of vanilla and chocolate, but they are huge!!! Definitely worth the price (and the price is cheap!) As for food, the oversized sub is always a great choice and the jo-jos are awesome... But try the provolone sticks. We love them! The sauce that comes with is delicious as well.

I'm done with this place. Been a customer for years and now I am done after tonight. It has been going down hill for awhile but the last time it was like they returned to what they used to be. Well tonight ordered a 4 piece dinner and got three pieces and they were all dried up and burnt. We each got garlic bread instead of the role and that was burnt so bad was not edible. The salad looks like it was in a cooler for months. I am done don't waste your money on this garbage

Best pizza fried chicken and spaghetti in the Akron area. Interior needed updating 15 years ago so now it looks like a retro classic 80's pizza shop. But it's still worth it. They also have an ice cream window. Low prices and friendly staff.

The food and service was super. Not one complaint, we had the daily special and it was excellent. No room for dessert.

Best place in Akron for custard. Perfection. Absolutely love this place. Food is great too! Well priced too.

Favorite pizza in Summit County! And love that they still serve it the same blue pizza boxes. Love their crispy pepperoni.
