If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than this exceptional Italian restaurant. From start to finish, everything was absolutely phenomenal. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had—each dish was crafted with perfection, bursting with authentic flavours that took me straight to Italy. The pasta was fresh and cooked to absolute perfection, and every bite of their signature dishes left me craving more. The service was equally outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel like a VIP from the moment I walked through the door. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service exceed expectations, but this restaurant does it effortlessly. I’m already planning my next visit—and the one after that! If you're in the area or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. It's more than just a meal; it's an experience. Truly out of this world!

Absolutely smashing the chicken parm game! It’s a 10/10. We loved everything about this place. First, It feels so cozy and lively inside. I really enjoyed the energy and it wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have a conversation with your table. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The menu has something for everyone and every dish was perfectly well rounded with flavour. Portions were very generous. I am looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow. We will be looking forward to our next visit, and yes the 2 hour drive from Barrie was well worth it!

We decided to celebrate “Galentine’s Day” at Rizzos and OMG it was one of the best Italian dinners we’ve ever had in our life. We drove up from Buffalo and fortunately there was absolutely no wait at the Peace Bridge in either direction. The service was unbelievable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and funny. The restaurant was a little empty due to inclement weather, so we got to chat with a few different staff members. They were all awesome. We opted to do the Chef menu for our party of four which included appetizers and salad, parmed entrees, pasta, sides, focaccia, and dessert. All four of us got to take home leftovers - there was so much food, but it was great to sample so many different dishes. The Caesar salad was out of this world. So flavorful and well dressed. The mozzarella sticks were a real standout. The eggplant parm and chicken parm were crispy, flavorful, and an absolute cheese bomb. So good! The homemade focaccia - I would drive from Buffalo to Fort Erie just to pick some up it was that good. We absolutely went to heaven with the ricotta gnocchi. The little pillowy squares were so soft and flavorful and the sauce was not heavy at all. The desserts we had were lemon pistachio and chocolate ganache cannolis and the classic tiramisu. We were so stuffed by that point but they were a-m-azing. Truly, a 10/10 experience that absolutely lives up to any hype. The food, ambiance, service - it all comes together in delicious harmony. Non-alcoholic cocktail recommendation: the Loganberry Shirley Temple. Just, wow. I can’t believe I never thought of it before!! Make your reservation and go!

Tap In! My Familia and I went for my Wife's Birthday. We reserved through Open Table which was a convenient and easy option. The Host was great. We ordered The Ceasar salad ( The kids and I were not a fan of the bread crumbs or dressing but my wife liked it) Sausage and Peppers ( Peppers were flavorful, peeled and cooked to perfection , Would be nice to have onions in there or offer it on a bun ), Mozza Sticks were fantastic and the Marinara sauce was on point,We also ordered the Chicken Parm ,& The Calamari , My Kids got the Mac & 3 Cheese and Loved it, & lastly we also ordered the Penne alla Vodka . Overall it wasn't bad. We went because we wanted to check out the Hype & Kids use Matheson's Pancake recipe. We had some Pellegrino Bottles , Babe had Red Wine and we ordered few Sodas ( we enjoyed it being from a can and not the syrup machine ) Overall worth the 40min drive to go there, Price was very comparable to anywhere else.

Honestly phenomenal experience. The host/ server and all the staff were 11/10, really can’t say enough good things about them. We brought a very busy 1 year old and they were super accommodating. Every dish was a banger. Maybe the best meatballs I’ve ever had. Really great spot.

Drove through a winter storm to make it for our reservation and it was worth it! Came for that chicken parm you see all over social media. The chicken was so tender and moist and the it was topped with so much gooey cheese. It did not disappoint! My second favorite thing was the meatballs in the Italian Wedding soup. It was such a surprise biting into one. The most tender meatballs I've ever had. And the pasta in the soup was al dente. Calamari was very good but If they tweaked the breading I think it could be better as it would fall off as you are picking it up with a fork. The sauce is very unique and delicious. Half spicy arrabbiata and half cooling parm. The carbonara was a bit on the salty side but the sauce was super creamy and had a good amount of meat. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food comes out pretty quick and it's very high quality. We're already planning to come back for that amazing parm again and to try some other dishes. Thank you for the amazing experience!

My friend and I stopped for a meal and sat at the bar. The service was fabulous, Abby took great care of us. The other staff were great as well, chatting with us about the menu and the restaurant. The food and atmosphere were amazing too, we’ll definitely be back!!

Me and My family loved their welcoming attitude and excellent food. Bought way more food than we needed on purpose and were so satisfied. You should try it.

Yelp
You're here reading reviews because you've heard of the hype. Yes, it's as good as you've heard. Arguably the best Italian I've had. Yes the flavor of everything is phenomenal, but surprisingly, as far as Italian goes (pasta, fried items, red sauce) it does not leave that gross feeling you get after being a glutton! You can feel that it's real top level ingredients. Mozzarella sticks: the breading is great, and the cheese seems semi melted in the middle, not like a thick piece of string cheese fried. Meatballs: large and packed with flavor. Dense but airy at the same time. Carbonara: cheesy and saucy, just the right amount of every ingredient. The restaurant feels like home cooking, but the service is fast paced and attentive. Dishes come quick. Good cocktails and wine. This is my longest review to date, because I can not say enough good things. Tiramisu and cannolis are incredible, and can order a pulled espresso shot (my true determination of a good Italian spot.)

Yelp
My wife took me there yesterday for my birthday. I had reserved well ahead of time as I have wanted to go for months. It didn't meet my expectations, it completely exceeded them. The facade of the place in a deserted Crystal Beach was kind of like a time warp. Looked sort of like a Mother's location from the late 70s early 80s. The interior decor was also adjacent to that. I was immediately wished happy birthday by the host. Our server Mikhaila (SP?), was warm, friendly, personable and a lot of fun. I was asked if I want plain water or sparkling water. I asked for sparkling water and she brought glass bottle Pellegrino which was a good sign. My wife and I shared all the dishes: We started with the meatball appetizer and the focaccia bread. The sauce was on point, like we're talking Nonna level on point. So savoury. The meatballs were full bodied and full flavoured. We learned they are made and marinaded in house. Every bite of those was so damn tasty. Whatever sauce that I didn't eat with my meatballs, or that I could not sop up with the bread, I simply spooned into my mouth. From the mains we had the rigatoni carbonara, and the chicken parm with a side of spaghettini. I've always had carbonara with long pasta like spaghetti, and the fact that it was made with the short rigatoni was a stroke of genius. I was going to add more parmesan cheese, but there was no need, it was plenty cheesy and tasty enough. The chicken parm took up an entire platter More than enough for two people. Again it was so perfectly seasoned, and every bite was melt in your mouth chewy goodness. The spaghettini were cooked perfectly the right amount of bounce in the al dente, and yet again accompanied by that awesome sauce. For desert I had the brownie cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and my wife had the cannoli. Both were fantastic. The staff was personable, fun, and sociable. I don't normally eat that much. I was full but I also felt high. It was so satisfying. The best way to describe it is Italian-American food. Reminded me of the food my Aunt Rose used to make when I visited her in Brooklyn NYC. It is a trek to get there from where I am, but it was so worth it and I hope to be back sooner rather than later.

Yelp
Made the trek from Buffalo (so did the tables to our right and left). You're asked to remain in your vehicle until the time of your reservation. You walk into a dark hostess room hidden by large curtains. Reminded me of an Italian restaurant's version of the Wizard of Oz. Everything is very regimented and moves fast. We lost my son's spaghetti to the busser before I could say we wanted the leftovers to cross the Peace Bridge. Its quite small in here. I was borderline sitting on the lap of the guy next to me. If you're expecting a long intimate dinner, this ain't it. Cool cocktail and wine offerings. Only three beers on tap. One of which is peach flavored made exclusively for this place along with a burger joint in Toronto. I would crush many of these in the summer. Food is truly outstanding. Excellent spaghetti. Hearty and flavorful Bolognese. Best chicken parm I've ever had. We left the plate clean.

Yelp
My husband and I always stay in Chippawa in the summer and are always stumped for places to eat and to my delight this trip I came across Mattys restaurant here in crystal beach. It was a no brainer to give it a try. Upon arrival we didn't have a reservation but were able to sit on the patio within fifteen minutes so we accepted and waited for the table. Once we were seated we ordered and patiently waited for our food. I ordered the calamari, Caesar salad, penne alla vodka with shrimp and chicken parm. My husband and I shared everything and were very full by the end of the meal. The calamari and salad came out first, calamari was fresh crispy and seasoned the sauce was great. The Caesar salad was a great one always a fan of a good Caesar. The pasta and chicken were also both great. They topped the pasta with crispy panko which added a nice texture. Definitely will be back to try more.

Yelp
Worth the drive. Such a cute restaurant but not pretentious. Staff was so friendly. Food is classic American Italian but a bit more refined. Good quality and portions for the price. The restaurant is beside the Blue Goose Farm shop - it's nice to check out!

Yelp
Third time going to Rizzos and simply put it's the best food I've ever eaten. It is SO good. The service is always amazing. The food is always consistent and amazing. Happy to have such a great establishment so close to home.

Yelp
It is no surprise that it is hard to get a seat at Rizzo's! Yep, in the middle of January in the middle of a snowy cold week seating is at a premium and people are coming in at 845pm to eat their dinner all for a chance to enjoy some really awesome parm amidst a comfy, cozy, and friendly atmosphere! On a cold winter night you have to literally draw back the curtains to see OZ! But after walking through the dark entrances the bright light, beautiful wood decor and friendly faces accompanied by the happy chatter of the folks eating there will let you know that you are in a good place. We managed to luck out and get a 530 seating. I have to admit I spent my first few moments just taking in the atmosphere people watching because I already knew the menu and that it proved that a small menu with superb food is all a restaurant needs to stay busy. The wait staff were all excellent and we were first presented with drink specials while we were debating an appetizer choice. The debate came down to the meatballs or the mozzarella sticks (Believe me you don't need to overload on appetizers because the main course will fill you up.). Rizzo's staff member when asked to decide for us said "go with the mozzarella sticks because they are awesome!" And, she was right!!! The cheese was gooey, the breading tasty, the fry perfect and the tomato sauce/gravy to dip them in was so so good!!!! I had read about the parm not coming with spaghetti (A slight disappointment) so I ordered chicken parm with spaghetti while my dining partner went for the gnocchi. Watching the food being delivered I immediately thought OH MY NO! The parm was HUGE ... and the spaghetti serving artistically built up on the plate was a rather large helping as well. The gnocchi serving also filled the plate. Definitely no need for a bread service nor a salad ... you are here for PARM or Italian and you are going to eat and be filled! The sauces were delicious ... the chicken was great ... and thank goodness for take home boxes because they were needed. I have heard the desserts are pretty darn good but when asked if we wanted dessert we stared back and shook our heads NOOOOOOO ..... We stayed within out 1 1/2 hour time limit, I enjoyed a glass of the house red, and then it was back out into the cold still savoring the warm delicious meal.

Yelp
Food was 4/5, overall really good portions and favors. I would recommend the chicken parm, best dish that we tried. Also the mozz sticks are homemade and amazing! Those are also a must have. Service was also 4/5. The staff were really nice and friendly although we definitely felt rushed. We were a bit late to our reservation and they gave us a time limit to be finished eating within 1 hour, and we still had 10 minutes remaining but felt like they were waiting for us to leave so they could push in our chairs. They also stood around while giving the tip and paying for the meal which is really awkward. For the ambiance this place is SMALL and very LOUD. You're sitting on top of each other so don't expect this to be a nice, family style dining place for Italian. It's very much like a diner- come in, sit, eat, leave. Overall it's good if you're in the area, but I probably wouldn't make another trip from the US.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
First off: I had heard lots of hype about this restaurant, and boy did they deliver! Made a reservation around the holidays, first opening was three weeks out. After getting there I get why, as the place is popular and quite small and intimate. I went with one other person and we sat at the bar, and ordered a chicken parm, spaghetti on the side, bolognese, and a 'Matty salad'. After a couple mixed drinks the food came out and it was so good.. the food was hot and very tasty, the greens on the salad were fresh, and the pasta dishes were perfect. I have had other chicken parms on the US side / Buffalo area and this was right up there with the best. Overall it was worth the drive and we'll be back in the future!

Yelp
Made the drive from Buffalo and it was def worth the trip. The 4 of us got the Chef's Menu and it was an Italian red sauce feast. Our server was super nice and it felt like the delivery of food to our table was never going to end. Every dish was great, there wasn't a bad bite all night. The standout for me was the Veal Parm, and I absolutely loved their house made chili flakes. The Mozzarella Sticks were really good. The Chef's Menu basically was a sampler of all their best dishes, I highly recommend it. Only 4 out of 5 because there wasn't anything especially calling me back - it was just solid dish after solid dish. It's heavy Italian comfort food, not a ton of creativity, just prepared really well and generous portions.

Yelp
We had a 4o'clock reservation on a Tuesday & were seated immediately. Karina was our very helpful and attentive waitress. She let us know it was happy hour till 5 with a deal on a bottle of house wine and some $15 apps. Started with drinks, the espresso martini was to die for. We got the shrimp and mozzarella sticks for our apps, all homemade yum! You always have a clean plate in front of you so great for sharing. We got the ricotta gnocchi and Matty's tagliatelle bolognese, both excellent choices. The gnocchi were so light and flavorful and the bolognese was by far the best I've had. For dessert we shared the brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream. Karina told us that is Matty's personal favorite dessert. Looking forward to visiting again. There is a very spacious patio so hopefully will make it there during warmer weather.

Yelp
For my starter I choose the house baked focaccia with oil, it was light, fluffy and tasty. With speedy service and a smile I received my entree of Tricia's baked shells. There were five shells made with ricotta and Pomodoro and very delicious. They have a bar area for seating also and I would highly recommend making reservations as there are not a lot of tables. It does have a cool and cozy vibe, perfect for date night. Plus a big lot with plenty of free parking. And as a bonus touch they even give you a card for Anniversaries and Birthdays, so sweet. Can't wait to come back and try a different entree.

Yelp
With fast and friendly service I received my starter of the house baked focaccia and oil, yum.My pasta entree was the handmade Ravioli, with ricotta, mascarpone, and Pomodoro and it had eight Ravioli. It was so amazing and delicious. Not a lot of tables so I would recommend a reservation. Lots of parking on site.A nice intimate atmosphere and also a bar area that seats six for service also.Had a wonderful night out and can't wait to return.

Yelp
Wow. We drove two hours from Toronto for this small cozy and completely unexpected restaurant. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday because he loves watching the bear. He did not expect it to be anything special looking at the outside but he was so surprised once we walked in through the front door. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the wait. We had a reservation and showed up right on time. We were told we'd need to wait for 15 minutes despite the reservation. After 15 minutes we went to check back and were made to wait another 10 minutes. The food portions were massive and all the food was delicious. Even the plain tomato sauce spaghetti was incredible. My boyfriend absolutely loved the penne because the toasted breadcrumbs added an unexpected pop of flavour and crunch. We wanted to try several things and had wayyy too much food. The drinks were incredible. Probably one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. My boyfriend loved the limoncello although I thought it was a little sweet. The calamari and penne are a must try! The sauce with the calamari is phenomenal.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic food, super well seasoned and prepared in a way that is non fussy but very pleasing to the palate. My personal recommendations are the ricotta gnocchi and eggplant parm. Every dish we ate was outstanding and coincidentally vegetarian, so if you're not a meat enjoyer this is a great place!
google avatar

Kurtis J.

Yelp
Nothing but good things to say about this place. The small town vibe definitely adds to it as well. Matty's home grown farm would have been nice to check out but offseason. Tried almost the entire, shortened and efficient menu. Parm for the win!

Yelp
A pleasant surprise out in Crystal Beach! I stopped by for a late lunch (they open at 2 pm on weekends) due to being in nearby Buffalo and on the way back to Toronto (somewhat). I had heard great things about Rizzos from a coworker and made sure to secure online reservations ahead of time. This spot has a nice intimate, elegant vibe with the wood finishings. We got the calamari, chicken parm, and pappardelle alla scampi. The food I must say was amazing - rich in flavour but not filling. The calamari was slightly spicy and paired so well with the parm sauce. The mains were creamy, cheesy and presented beautifully. The prices are on the high side, but that's the only knock I've got! I wouldn't dedicate a trip just for this spot, but if I'm anywhere nearby I will definitely look to go back!

Yelp
For my birthday, I chose Chef Matty Mathewson's Italian restaurant, Rizzo's House Of Parm. And it was quite the birthday wish fulfilled! Arriving at Crystal Beach, it's in a nice, out of the way area, away from the hustle and bustle. Very serene. Inside the restaurant, sounds of enjoyment and smells of delicious food infiltrate the senses immediately. Our table had seating against the wall, which was cushioned with a long pillow for back support! We ordered, to start, Italian Wedding soup, Fried Calamari and for myself, Matty's Salad. The soup was a touch salty, but still delicious. Loved the mix of legumes and leaves in Matty's Salad, and the calamari's crunch was enhanced even more so by the arrabbiata & parm dip. For our mains, I ordered a Veal Parm with spaghetti on the side, and I gotta say, I didn't finish my meal, but not for lack of deliciousness! The side spaghetti was a meal in itself; the sauce was savoury but not too salty or drowning in oil, and just enough to complement the veal parm. My father tried the Eggplant Parm, and he loved it. I concurred, after trying a piece from his plate! All in all, I'm glad I chose this place for my special occasion, because it's a special place. Would love to eat here again!

Yelp
We came for our second visit here and it absolutely blew us away, almost even better than our first visit! Every single bite of food was impeccable. The mozzarella sticks are still our top favorite appetizer and we will never stop ordering them. The penne vodka was also amazing. Better than carbone's vodka sauce in my opinion. The dish that absolutely floored us was the half chicken Marsala. The chicken was the best bite of chicken we have ever had. Hands down. If you like Marsala in general, you NEED to order this right now. It was so delicious, every bite tasted better than the first. It was really sweet and complex. The server let us know the chicken itself takes 5 days to prepare and you can tell. We literally can not wait to come again!
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
We were going to be in St. Catharines so I proposed to the better half we make the trek out to Rizzo's. She wasn't familiar but once she checked it out she was all in. It was a Saturday and it is known to be busy. We dropped by around 5pm. They took our name and said it would be about 2 hrs before they could seat us. No problem, we would just build up our appetites. We toured around Ridgeway and found a few great areas we dreamed of buying. There are great home/cottages by the water, and a newer development with great landscaping. Back to Rizzo's we were welcomed back and shown to our seats. We decided on the Chef's Menu ($62 pp - min 2) there is no description but basically it's a bit of everything on the menu. We are reasonably big eaters and likely only ate half at the restaurant and took the rest home. There were no duds. Everything was so good. Highly recommend doing the Chefs Menu. All the staff are very friendly and attentive.

Laur V.

Yelp
I wondered if this restaurant was worth all of the hype and the answer is YES, yes it is! The service was amazing, so friendly and attentive. The interior was very small, but that just made it feel cozy. It felt like being at your Italian grandparents house for dinner, oddly nostalgic. The food was the main show though. We got the burrata with plums, mozzarella sticks, and vodka pasta. You could tell the mozzarella sticks were made fresh and with REAL mozzarella cheese. The vodka pasta was by far the best I've ever had. The breadcrumbs on top added so much to the dish. I can't wait to go back, the food was top notch.

Yelp
Just insane Italian, everything perfectly cooked, delicious. Make sure to get a reservation.
google avatar

Christina V.

Yelp
My husband was dying to go here for his birthday and they were super accommodating to our party of 7. The patio welcomes walk-Ins and the flow of service was great. Decent size parking lot, patio was cute and interior decor was Italian/hip/functional. The food was outstanding. The Calamari was huge and had a kick, the eggplant parm was ultra thick and delicious, and both chicken and veal parms were great! The true show stoppers in our opinion was the vodka sauce and the tagliatelle. The sauces were magical and the pasta tasted super fresh. We were dreaming of these dishes the next day!
google avatar

NyAshia J.

Yelp
Food and setting is AMAZING there is limited seating throughout the restaurant reservations are recommended all the food tastes fresh, service was fast. Portions are generous good for sharing with a group. Chicken parm homes as chick alone so get pasta or salad on the side
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. I could have made the apps a my meal, but glad to bring leftovers home. I was craving the mint chip brownie for days and it did not disappoint. Generous portions. Staff was attentive. Simple, clean aesthetic. Small space, so make reservations if you can.
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Fantastic food. I ordered the chicken parm, parm is the key word here as it was loaded with Parmesan cheese in addition to the mozzarella. Their red sauce is delicious! The mozzarella sticks are huge and the calamari has a little bit of a kick to it in its seasoning. The service was really friendly and really prompt. My drink was always full. The dining room is a bit on the smaller side so make sure you get a reservation. We were lucky and got one in just a few days notice but you should try to book atleast a couple days in advance. I can't wait to go back and try another dish.
google avatar

Jill K.

Yelp
Getting a reservation is hard and I understand why. The place is tiny! They also allow an hour and a half for dining (and they are very strict with this policy) so they have it completely planned out for the whole day. So much so that when I contacted them (days before) to ask if there was any way to adjust the arrival time and it was a hard no. Strange since I've read they take walk ins, but instead they said our time at our seat would be reduced. It ended up working out fine because we came prepared with our order and the food comes out really quick and feeling the pressure, we ate very quickly. We also skipped dessert and gave them some time back on our reservation. I know they want to accommodate as many people as possible but the strict timeframe for seating and the constant feeling of being rushed did not make for the best experience. Plates were cleared before you even had your last bite , as soon as you stood up, they were already setting you spot for the next guest- it was just strange. The only opening was for the "bar area" when I made the reservation a few weeks in advance and this ended up being diner style seating at a very small bar that is also in the same area as the main dining so it was very loud! The mozarella sticks were just ok even though a lot of reviews said they were the best ever. The chicken parm was very good but you do have to pay extra for the pasta. I tried the stuffed shells and immeadiately it was overwhelming with lemon and it was not something I would ever eat again. The food was good and the staff was very friendly so I do think it's worth trying out but just make sure you know what to expect when you go if you were expecting an intake, relaxed, long multi course Italian meal then this is not it.
google avatar

Cecilia M.

Yelp
Long awaited visit to Rizzos was perfect! Our party of 4 arrived for a late reservation on Friday night. Had to wait a few minutes before our table was ready, and they ran out of wine glasses for a bit. But those were minor things that righted themselves shortly. Our experience was great! Our server was friendly and helpful! And the food was mighty delicious. The burrata with tomato, Penne alla vodka and Veal parm were the highlights. But everything else was wonderful also. Loved the space - it was warm and cozy. And in the summer, they have a lovely patio as well. Parking is limited though, so try to carpool if you can!
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
I've been itching to visit Rizzo's House of Parm for quite a few months now, and the wait was absolutely worth it. I wasn't disappointed by a single thing I've had, and dare I say, they have the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had in my entire life. The place is smaller than I expected, but we had a reservation and were sat immediately. My favorite pasta dish was by far the Penne alla Vodka, the breadcrumbs added a nice touch to it. For Auntie Ang's wings, it was a Calabrian chili tomato sauce and the dip they give you to dip it in was like a mixture between ranch and Alfredo, and it was delicious (coming from a die-hard blue cheese with my wings kinda girl) I will absolutely be returning to try more on the menu and if you'll excuse me, I have to go purchase Matty's cookbooks now.

Yelp
Made a reservation 6 weeks ahead of a trip to Buffalo, NY and Ontario because we're huge Matty Matheson fans, and Rizzo's did not disappoint. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest front of house staff, and they seated us early even though we were fine to wait! Glad I made a Res, as it was so busy! Karina, our server was so kind and made us feel special being there! Super casual environment but you could dress yourself up if you wanted to make it a special night out. Bright, clean interior with just the right touch of nostalgia. So many home style Italian restaurants are dark and dingy; this was the opposite. You could see the chef calling out orders in the back of house, so you knew everything was super freshly prepared. We ended up getting the burrata, meatballs, Penne alla Vodka and the rigatoni carbonara. Everything was amazing! I'm not a huge red sauce person (a personal flaw I know) and this was the most delicious, light red sauce I've ever had. My fiancé said the carbonara was the best one he's ever had, ever. We were so pleased. We even got hats! They have merch :) We will be making the trip into Canada again for this one!

Yelp
The best meal of my life. My family reserved the private dining room for my birthday. We had a four course meal. Every dish was perfect from the bread to the tiramisu and brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream at the end.

Yelp
Decided to surprise my fiance with a little field trip over the border to this restaurant because he's obsessed with Matty Matheson. It was almost an hour drive but it was worth it for sure. When we arrived we were seated right away. The atmosphere was real comfortable and laid back. I liked the crowd there for sure. Real dope. Our waitress Karena was a doll. We told her we came from Buffalo and to bear with us as we were going to order everything we could. Well, not only did she encourage us to do so but she must have mentioned it to the manager Keegan because after we placed our order for drinks and app, they brought over complimentary apps. We ordered the Calamari with arrabiata and parm dip and meatballs with sauce and then they brought us polenta and corn as well mozzarella sticks. Now let me just say that that damn calamari was amazing. Just the calamari alone was amazing. The seasoning on it was perfect and I could have eaten it as is. The parm dip that comes with it. BABY!!! I want to slather over my body. I want to swim through it like Scrooge McDucK. That parm dip with the spicy arrabiata sauce was amazing. I've never had anything like it. It was so freaking good. The meatballs were wonderful. They're a good size meatball and you get three in an order. I really liked the consistency. They weren't too mushy or too firm. They were seasoned nicely and the sauce was very good. I sprinkled the freshly crushed red pepper on mine and it was heavenly. I've honestly never had crushed pepper that tasted that good. The mozzarella sticks were just ok for me. But I'm a bit of a weirdo. I don't particularly like butter and they were super buttery. Not greasy but buttery. They tasted of butter. They were giant golden brown logs of perfection. Honestly, a picture of perfection. And the coating was super crispy which i loved that it wasn't mushy and really stood up to keep that mozzarella in check. It was just very very savory. A little too much for me. My fiance... once he stopped "ah ooh ah ooh ah" lamaze breathing through his impatience of having bitten a piping hot mozzarella stick he was in love. He loved the buttery taste and didn't want to ruin it with too much sauce. As for the polenta, I'd never had it before but it was interesting. It kind of reminded me of grits. I liked the sweetness of the corn mixed in with the smooth creaminess of the polenta. I sprinkled more of that crushed pepper on there and fell in love. It was wonderful. I really liked that dish. It was simple but very filling. It felt like comfort food. Thankfully we got a nice little break because I was fighting for my life after all of those apps. They were no small feat. Nothing about those portions were small and I had to try everything. I couldn't help myself. We were taking time to really just soak in that we were there and enjoy our cocktails. I had a margarita and my fiance had a GQ's negroni. The drinks were very good. Just before the signs and symptoms of a food coma started to make an appearance, our food came out. Lemme tell you, we were not ready at all. I ordered the chicken parm (yes I'm basic) and my fiance had the eggplant parm. You already know what it was! The Parm comes on its own dish with a beautiful crusting of mozzarella that was delicious. Of course my chicken was larger than life and took up the entire dish. It was tender, delicious and worth the two bites I managed to take before I threw in the towel. It was served with a nice spiral of spaghetti in red sauce that was great. The eggplant was also really good. I don't usually like eggplant because I'm a weirdo about texture but it was bomb. Not too mushy or anything. And they stack together like a tasty little accordion. It was really really good. I had to throw in the towel because I was stuffed but happily so. My fiance opted to go all in with the hopes that Kareena would be able to wheel him out. He got the tiramisu. It of course was the size of a Barbie hot tub (iykyk). He said he loved it. He said it was light, not overly sweet and more than enough. He couldn't finish it but he gets points for thinking he could try. At the end of the night we lift with a grocery bag of food. We literally ate like royalty for two days after. It was super good and worth every bite. I can't wait to go back. We're hoping to go back in the summer. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'm super thankful for the kindness of the staff.

Yelp
Great service - we brought our two toddlers and the staff went above and beyond. Here's what we had: Calamari - the best calamari we've ever had Focaccia - I prefer thinner focaccia so I wasn't crazy about it, but my wife and kids enjoyed it Kids butter pasta + chicken finger - one of the best chicken fingers we've had, the pasta was far better than we expected butter pasta to be. Veal piccata - Piccata is my favorite Italian dish, I have high standards, this was just okay. Not enough lemons/capers for my liking, but fine. Vodka Penne - until this meal, I've only ever had average vodka penne. Vodka penne is vodka penne, right? Wrong - this vodka penne was exceptional Carbonara - creamy and delicious carbonara, one of the best. Brownie w/ mint choc chip ice cream - fudgy and delicious brownie, it tasted like one of those fudgy truffles that's rolled around in cocoa. Ice cream was great too. Kids cookie + a scoop - very good as well.

Yelp
Rizzo's House of Parm is the place for Italian classic dishes! We ended up going during a snowstorm so it was pretty empty, so I'm not sure how busy it usually is. We drove from Niagara because we've heard so many good things about Rizzo's! The restaurant itself has its own unique vibe, kind of decorated like a vintage diner. Servers were very friendly. We ordered the Calamari, Veal Parmesan, side of Spaghetti, Rigatoni Carbonara, and the Tiramisu. I didn't get to snap a picture of the veal and carbonara, unfortunately! They include complimentary bread (I believe it was seasoned focaccia) and it was so soft. It also comes with a side of olive oil and balsamic vinegar but I could just eat it on its own. This was the first time I've had breaded calamari, but it was seasoned well and the breading goes well with the marinara. The Veal Parmesan was my favourite of the night. It was thin and crispy, great with a side of their classic spaghetti. The spaghetti was good but nothing mind blowing, however. The Rigatoni Carbonara was also delicious, however a bit too al dente for my liking. We ended up taking the Tiramisu for takeout since we were so full! The Tiramisu was also good, but probably would have been better if we ate it at the restaurant. Definitely the spot for some classic Italian dishes!

Yelp
Fantastic meal at the newly opened Rizzos House of Parm! My brother have been long time fans of chef Matty Mathewson so when they heard about this new restaurant opening we quickly made a reservation! Everything about the night was terrific- wonderful wait staff, super chill ambiance and divine food and drinks. We were a group of 7 and split 4 apps, mozzarella sticks, chicken, wings,, calamari, and rapini. The stretchiest cheese I've ever had in a mozzarella stick. C amazing sauces on everything else! For dinner, we shared a chicken parm, eggplant Parm, stuffed shells, linguine with clam sauce and rugiront carbonara plus 2 salads... again we loved it all! If I had to pick I'd say eggplant parm over chicken parm and the clam sauce was my favorite but if you asked someone else in the group they'd have a different favorite! For dessert we had the advocate, tiramisu and hot brownie with ice cream - best tiramisu I've ever had! Make a reservation now! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Just wow! Rizzos house of parm is so cool. We watch that crazy guy on the show on hulu the bear and he knows how to do it. I used to come to crystal beach as a kid but they never had nice places like this. Just like mom makes it! Good italian cooking! Even had stuffed shells on the menu...

Yelp
I'd say it's good, but not show stopping. While the food is good quality, I found that it lacked a little in flavour. We got the Chicken Parmesan with the side of pasta, and the Rigatoni Carbonara- the chicken Parmesan was definitely the best of everything, the carbonara was lacking I found. Still good though! The restaurant space is well utilized - it has an all wood interior which is different for an Italian restaurant . The staff were very nice but you can tell they're trying to get people in and out quickly. We weren't able to get a reservation a week in advance, so our plan was going to order take out, but if you go on their OpenTable page about an hour before they open you can snag a spot on their wait list and we got in about a half hour after they opened! I'm not itching to go back anytime soon, but I am really glad I got to try it!!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place even before binge watching The Bear. I am delighted I was able to meet one of my besties from out of town for an early dinner! We started with the famous mozzarella sticks. They were good, but didn't wow me. We ordered a gin and limoncello specialty drink on happy hour for $10! We both ordered bolognese and they allowed me to substitute rigatoni. It was delicious. Finally, I had to order the Affogato because I've never had it and have always wanted to try it! The service was good. The waitress let us know we had just made happy hour and I appreciate that. Pace of the meal was perfect. I had to take a star off for ambiance, as I felt it was too bright inside. The wood finish of the entire room is finished in a very light colored wood that makes it even brighter. It's also awkward to walk in through the host stand area that is literally in the entryway hall.

Yelp
Live very close only been once. Service was poor. Food mediocre no atmosphere. Room was loud. Was excited initially due to the closeness of the restaurant but after taking a month to get a 5.00 reservation wasn't worth the effort. What my biggest surprise is how it continues to be very busy.

Yelp
Wow! We were visiting Crystal Beach and so many people told us we should try to get into this restaurant. We decided last minute to go for a late dinner and we were all blown away. We dined with 4 adults and 1 child and we all left amazed at how good the food (AND SERVICE) was. We all loved the pastas, a few of us agreed a favorite was also the Caesar - it was incredible - and the desserts were outstanding. The service was top notch. The manager allowed us (and even offered) to meet the chefs working that evening which made for a very cool experience. We all left with full stomachs and the BEST memories. This is a dining experience we will talk about for a long, long time!

Yelp
Been there twice. Spaghetti pomodoro very home style and great. Meatballs were very good as well. Service attentive and friendly. Will be back for sure If going on a weekend, will probably need reservations

Yelp
Service was great, food was even better, everything came out perfectly timed. For two of us we ordered the chef's special and it was well worth it. More than enough food for the two of us and a little leftovers for home.

Yelp
Wow! Such an amazing experience!! We came for our anniversary and got the chefs menu and let me tell you we had leftovers! Enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, meatballs, salad, foccacia, chicken parm, spaghetti, carbonara pasta and finally the salad! So much food of such great quality made with such care. Very cool hearing the chefs call out orders up close it gave the restaurant such a cool vibe. Erika our server was absolutely amazing, some of the best service we've had. We left full and happy 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Great name for a restaurant. The decor is plain without apology. If anything, the better to show off the food as it finds its way around tables to guests. The menu is broader than when it first opened but the basics remain and their "Parm" dishes are spectacular. I used to think that I made the best Eggplant Parmesan on the planet. Well, I was wrong. Rizzo's House of Parm does, and I've been back four times since it opened to prove it. The staff is knowledgeable, patient (you know some patrons can be really indecisive , haha) and friendly. My wife and I will be back as it's now on our Rota of favorite restaurants.

Yelp
I was happy with their service and food. Food was delicious and a good family sharing portion. I would definitely come back again and recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Food is great. Service is good but the issue is availability. They really don't take walkins and to get a reservation is very difficult

Yelp
Food here was great. Loved the calamari, mozzarella sticks, chicken parm and veal parm. Tiramisu was tasty as well. We made reservations online but it was really busy on a weeknight. Would go back.
