Eatery by chef Michael Mina offering upscale French fare with NW flair & an extensive wine list.
"After nearly a decade downtown, Michael Mina’s wine and fine dining destination RN74 has officially shuttered for good. The restaurant had been closed since the pandemic first impacted the area in 2020, and will not make a comeback, a rep for the restaurant confirmed to Eater Seattle. RN74 had a good run, and opened to much fanfare when it made its Seattle debut in 2011, with millions of dollars and plenty of hype behind it. At the time, food critic Hanna Raskin wrote that the high-end French-influenced spot was one of the city’s best for 'meals that matter' and praised its impeccable service. Catering to theater-goers and other folks out for a fancy dinner, the restaurant quickly made adjustments when it realized downtown denizens loved a good happy hour, too. Not long after opening, management reconfigured the restaurant’s layout to accommodate demand, adding more lounge seating and pooling various stations in the kitchen to help keep up. Over the years, RN74 was joined by plenty of other restaurants and bars hoping to cash in on the growing tech crowd. But, once the pandemic impacted the region in March 2020 and companies like Amazon instituted work-from-home policies, business dropped off dramatically." - Gabe Guarente
"In 2012, the chef was hired to run the kitchen at RN74, a trendy French restaurant that had recently opened in downtown Seattle to rave reviews, with millions of dollars and hype behind it." - Gabe Guarente
"RN74’s holiday champagne fete will take place this coming Saturday, featuring a robust selection of champagne accompanied by a five-course meal curated by Chef Shawn Applin." - Maggy Lehmicke
