Ro Hyde Park

This is a fantastic place for lunch! Have been here several times now and when I am in the Hyde Park area are lunch I will stop in for some sushi. Love the presentations they give here! The appetizers are really good, can’t go wrong with any sushi roll and then the ice cream for dessert is a nice way to finish off the meal. High recommend ⭐️

We were looking for a unique brunch experience and Ro did not disappoint. All the food we ordered was exceptional and the Japanese Philly cheese steak was one of the best cheese steaks I have eaten! And I highly recommend ordering a side of the spiced bacon which was phenomenal. Our waiter Joe, was super helpful and provided amazing service! Someone at our table had a slight gluten intolerance and Joe and the kitchen was extremely helpful and giving us all possible options. And then the complimentary apple crumb ice cream was the cherry on top. If you are looking for a unique brunch experience, different than your normal American breakfast, there is no better option than Ro.

Picked this place to celebrate my wife's birthday. Boy are we glad we did. We were seated promptly, our waitress was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. She gave us excellent recommendations and made sure our food and drinks came out promptly. The food was some of the best asian fusion we've ever had. Everything was well presented and delicious. Highly recommend.

Let me first say that we have frequented Ro for brunch for monthssssss. We had some issues during this visit but all issues were resolved by our server who was awesome and doing above and beyond her job. Going during brunch is such a good way to try out this restaurant without paying the large price tag of a dinner. What we love most about Ro is that we can always walk in and get a table (for 2), the vibes are amazing because it is the most gorgeously designed restaurant and they always have the best music (helloooooooo 00's R&B). When things are done as expected, you should receive a nice little hot rehydrated hand towel to clean your hands before beginning your meal. This time we did not but it was due to being short-staffed. Once we brought it to the attention of our server, she immediately fixed it and brought the towels over for us. We also had some issues with the way our food came out, in that the nigiri came out at the same time as our whole meal. We were missing soy sauce and our utensils (other than chopsticks) so we couldn't eat either the nigiri or the meal we ordered. It then took us a good 10 minutes to get our servers attention because again she was literally serving the entire room herself. Brought it up to her and she offered to reheat/refire our food since we waited so long, brought the items we were missing, and also offered an additional glass of champagne to make up for the issues. Again, this is not normally our experience and she did her best to make it right. Now, let's get to the food. Their nigiri is always amazinggggg and reasonably priced. I like that you can either get 1 or 2 pieces and aren't locked into either option. For our entrees, I got the Bulgogi Skirt Steak and Eggs and my wife got the Spicy Karaage. We were both very surprised by the presentation of the Spicy Karaage because when ordering Karaage at any other restaurant, it's usually fried tiny pieces of chicken. This came with an entire chicken leg on the top. It was super strange and my wife did not eat that. It just doesn't make sense when you serve boneless chicken with bone-in chicken. Outside of the presentation, the flavor was great and the serving size was generous. We had to take some home. My dish was absolutely delicious. No notes. Oh and don't let me forget that you never have to pay for dessert here! They ALWAYS give you free soft serve at the end that is some awesome new flavor they created that day/week. That day, we got Ube soft serve with Biscoff crumble on top. We will always be back and excited to see what new items they bring to the menu!

We went for lunch on a Sat at 11:30, hostess and server were very nice. The inside of the restaurant has a good layout and fun vibes but unfortunately that was it. The quailty of the food and drinks did not meet the price point or what was described on the website. We were very disappointed when we weren't allowed to order from the whole lunch menu at lunch, our server said the restaurant only allows the brunch, sushi bar, and partial lunch menu. Our poor server had too many tables and couldnt give us much attention, wanted to order a 2nd cocktail but she never made it around. Also, they had a couple of items not available on the menu, then we had to ask for cutlery, soy sauce for our sushi, and ketchup for our fries, I understand these might sound like small nick picky things but when you have a $35 Luxe handroll and $17 and up cocktails on the menu, we want the service and quality to match. Presentation of food looked like diner food at best, even the complimentary Ube ice cream at the end was a nice touch, but it was served in a paper cup with one of those throw away wooden spoons, could have been in a small ramekin with a cute ceramic spoon of some sort. Over all, we were sadly disappointed. Great location and inside looks cool but wouldn't reccomend until they can get the quality of food up to par.

I can’t say enough good things about Ro and their staff! Firstly, it’s a beautiful restaurant. Secondly, the hostesses and waitress helped coordinate a surprise for my birthday dinner- My fiancee had flown my parents in from California last second and the staff were more than accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They even added a bouquet of flowers to the table and gave complimentary dessert! Our waitress, Nay, was AMAZING! She really made the experience that more memorable. This will be a birthday I will ALWAYS remember!

It was my first time going here and it certainly won’t be my last! The food, ambiance, and service were impeccable. Our server, Joe, was super kind and honest about all of the item menus. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best one. He really made my first visit memorable!

We had a lovely earlier dinner here at around 5pm. We were able to get a walk in table after a few minutes. Sushi, drinks and appetizers were all amazing. My favorite was the silk roll. Our server was very attentive and we never had dirty dishes left on our table for very long. I can not stand clutter on the dinner table so I appreciate this. Will definitely be back.

For being absolutely slammed on a Monday night, the food and service was spectacular. The wagyu gyoza are not to be missed and the ro maki was excellent too. The space was clean with dim lights and comfortable chairs. Our server Jovan was so nice and had lots of great menu recommendations. I also appreciated Matt the manager taking the time to stop by our table and ask how everything was even though it was a busy night. 10/10 can't wait to come back!

Incredible. Just incredible! Daughter and I were shopping around Hyde park and wanted something to eat. We walked down the street and discovered Ro. And "oh ro" glad we did :) We walked in and were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. Very classy inside. Seating is comfortable and the layout of this place is pleasing to the eye. They have table seating, bar seating and sushi bar seating. Upon sitting, we were greeted by our server, Kyle. Kyle was AMAZING! Very attentive and cordial. Made conversation with us and made us feel welcome and valued as a customer. We ordered edamame as our appetizer. These were very tasty. They did have some spicy stuff on them but not on all of them. I actually didn't know until I happened to take one that had a small brown looking spice on it. For our food, we ordered the Ro and Dragon rolls to share. I've never had sushi with the raw fish. I typically only get it if it's fully cooked and deep fried. So me ordering thinking this was going to be deep fried and / or fully cooked. So when these rolls arrived at the table I was thinking I wasn't going to eat. Then I sucked it up and went for it. These were absolutely delicious. I do have to say that this was the best sushi I've had. I experienced something new and fell in love. We did like the Dragon roll the best. But we both agreed that we'd definitely be back here!! Also when done eating Kyle surprised us with matcha soft serve which was amazing!! Definitely try this place because you won't be disappointed!!

I have walked by Ro so many times in Hyde Park but finally made the decision to stop in for happy hour. And thank goodness I did! The restaurant interior is gorgeous. Absolutely perfect for date night. The servers are all really friendly and happy to make recommendations. I loved the happy hour menu which had a surprising number of options. We started with the wagyu gyoza and oh my goodness, such savory, beefy flavor. I loved the sauce that the gyoza came in and they were hot and crispy perfection. The popcorn shrimp were equally hot and crispy. Great shrimp flavor without being too fishy. My favorite items were the spicy tuna roll and the sesame shiitake roll. Spicy tuna is a staple anywhere, but honestly their roll was SO good. Possibly the best spicy tuna I've ever had. The sesame shiitake was such a unique roll. Beautiful truffle flavor and the dipping sauce was insanely delicious. I think it was a truffle soy--oh so good. The dragon roll was solid but nothing special. I thought the Ro roll was very similar but with some added flavor. The guava mocktail was also super refreshing with a hint of mint. I will absolutely be back at Ro and can't wait to share this spot with my Tampa pals.

what a great spot for a fancy meal with cozy ambiance! i came here to catch up with a friend and the vibes in here are immaculate. plenty of opportunities for cute photos: the walls, the lighting, the food plating, everything was super thoughtfully designed. we had the best waiter. i regret that his name is escaping me right now, but he'd been there since this place opened! he was patient, friendly, and gave great recs. based on his suggestions, we split king salmon crudo, an order of shishito peppers, the bulgogi steak, and the hyde park roll. everything was delicious--the peppers were honestly so good for no reason, i'd go back just for those, but everything was great! at the end of the meal, you also get free dessert: house vanilla ice cream with a crumbled sesame cookie on top. divine. definitely worth stopping by here for a special occasion. we'll be back!

Came here when I was in town for work ! This place came highly recommended for sushi in Tampa and it did not disappointment! Me and 2 of my coworkers did family style! I got the lychee martini which came highly recommended and it was delicious ! We split the wagyu gyoza, the tuna crispy rice, the beef fried rice, chicken katsu, and 3 sushi rolls the dragon, spicy salmon roll, and shrimp tempura! The fried rice, wagyu gyoza, and spicy salmon were definitely my favorite! The complimentary ice cream at the end was delicious surprise

I LOVE this spot! The Ro roll, waygu dumplings, popcorn shrimp, and lychee martini are all so good, but the Yakisoba noodles are a showstopper! My boyfriend got the wagyu on the hot stone and was pretty impressed with that too. The ambiance here is amazing too-- they typically have a local DJ spinning and setting the mood at dinner time. This is a sexy date night spot, with an elevated atmosphere and elevated Asian bites. Parking is easy-- valet is right out front or there's also the free Hyde Park garage on the side if you can snag a spot. My only complaints are there is no dessert menu here. They offer a complimentary scoop of ice cream but it's nothing special. I wish they had actual dessert. Also, the service has always been pretty slow when I've gone here. We have had to flag down our waiters to pay a few times. However, their menu keeps me coming back. It really is just that good! I love this as a date night; head over to speakeasy Jekyll next door for a perfect night!

good experience. Would go here for the pork fried rice, sushi rolls, and nigiri again. Service was good. Although during our visit, I could hear a server complaining about their job.. yikes. Also, I wanted my steak medium and I got bleu. So my husband asked our server if they could cook the steak a little bit longer and make it medium.. and they did. Bathroom was phenomenal, favorite part of the trip! It gave me the same vibe as this other restaurant in Miami that also served Asian cuisine (S.Sushi) Overall, this place was good. Probably go back here again for the sushi and nigiri

We initially went to see the Christmas tree in Hyde park but we were feeling hungry and as we were passing by multiple restaurants this one happened to stick out the most. The ambiance in this place is amazing! It's so soothing and satisfying just to look around. From the decoration to the architecture I really appreciated the inside of the building. Customer service was also great too. Our waiter was very helpful and she was very informative was far as the menu. Okay so let's get to the food review. The sushi and nigiri were amazing! Probably one of the best I've tried so far. The fish literally melts in your mouth. Additionally, the presentation was phenomenal which probably added more to the taste. However, I can't say the same about the ramen and the steak from the bento box. The ramen tasted like they added thickener to it and the ginger had red color dye that looked super fake. The red color dye spread all over the ramen, giving the broth a bright red color. The steak was ordered medium but came out blue rare. It appeared as if they just gave it a slight cook and markings from the outside. It wasn't even tender. On the other hand it was quite difficult to chew. Overall they have the potential to be a 5 star but that day it was a 3 star. In my opinion, I believe that you shouldn't have to take the customers food and recook it because the cook didn't prepare/cook it properly the first time. In that case, throw it away and make a new one. I don't think I would come back here.

So, everything was so delicious, I forgot to take pictures!!! Jenna was our server and was so great and friendly! We sat at a high top in the bar area with some friends and had a really delicious late lunch! It was a beautiful day, so we walked up here, got in immediately, and sat down without await. We started off ordering wagyu gyoza with a chili ponzu sauce... was so tasty we ordered another! We also had maguro tuna carpaccio with parmesan, yuzu cream, osetra caviar, truffle shoyu- wow!! Amazing! Next, we ordered a ro roll with spicy tuna, avocado, hamachi - incredible!! Lastly, we had shishito peppers: blistered peppers, sweet soy, chili threads and popcorn shrimp: crispy rock shrimp, sweet and spicy aioli, served over vegetable fried rice.... These were both very tasty as well. The popcorn shrimp was so good that we ordered another one. The guys had a few different Japanese beers. I had a few skinny margaritas, and someone else ordered Prosecco. All in all, everything was Amazing!!! Great service and food!

Coming from LA, I was definitely nervous to try duck here in Florida. The duck menu did NOT disappoint. The duck was cooked very well, it was soft and moist. The restaurant doesn't have crispy duck skin, but that's fine, the flavors were worth it! Loved the rice pancakes that went with it, the waitress brought over extra as well, which I was so happy with. Will definitely come back the next time we're in the area

New spot, best sushi I've had in a long time. Great vibe, intimate setting for date night or out with friends. The decor is beautiful, and the bathroom is great for an obligatory bathroom selfie. Cocktail menu is expansive, w a variety of liquors, especially sake. Fun, inventive drinks. "Yummy, yummy, yummy I've got love in my tummy..." sushi was great. Got the Ro roll, salmon and hamachi sashimi and some other unique roll. They don't have a dessert menu, but serve complimentary house-made gelato with house-made caramel sauce and cookie crumbles. Really interesting choice post-sushi. I wouldn't pick that usually, but I ate it and it was good. Presentation of food was nice, service was attentive and kind. I recommend. And I'll be back when in the area.

My friend and I stopped here as we have been eye balling this spot for a while. We sat at the bar and had amazing service from Demario and Armando (I hope I got the names right) We ordered the salmon, uni and scallop sushi as well as a roll. It was all delicious but a bit on the pricey side of what we're use to and we do receive the same quality where we normally go, although the uni here was one of the best we tried. The inside of this spot is nice and modern, loved the vibe. The espresso martini is one of the best I've had. We will be back !

Came here for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation few days in advance but place wasn't very busy. Service was friendly, location is amazing and ambiance is super modern. It is a new place so everything looks sharp and modern. We had non alcoholic cocktails that were pretty good. Recommend! We had mushroom bao bans were great! Definitely recommend. We had bento boxes which is a great option because it's pretty big and filling but also, not overly expensive. Bento boxes were pretty good, but not amazing. I thought salmon was too salty and pork rice wasn't as good as in other places. They don't have a dessert menu but they bring ice cream at the end of the meal. Ice cream was pretty good! Overall a nice place, and I would like to come for a dinner and do other things on a menu.

After our most recent visit to the bar section here, I feel inclined to make mention of how different that side of the restaurant is compared to the dining room. The bar staff with the exception of maybe one bar back did not crack a smile the entire hour we were there. It was so deflating for a Saturday night. The morale of the employees seems troubling and I hope they can turn it around bc the restaurant is wonderful. I thought it was just me, but someone else brought up the unwelcome feeling after we left. It's a shame bc the back of the house is doing their part, but the front is lacking.

We came here for lunch yesterday and were blown by the service, atmosphere, and food. We sat at the bar for our lunch. Our server/bartender was Armando. He made cocktails based off our likings and they were delicious. We tried their 'Popcorn Shrimp' and 'King Salmon Crudo' for appetizers. They were both delicious and so flavorful! The 'King Salmon Crudo' was savory and just melted in your mouth. For our main dishes, we both ordered their 'Bento Box' meal which is an amazing deal. You get a miso soup and get to pick between your own protein, rice, sushi roll, and side item for your bento box. After your entree you can homemade vanilla ice cream with a coconut drizzle. So good! Armando was one of the best bartenders and waiters we've met. He memorized our names and talked to us throughout the entire meal. He is very educated on the food and drink menu. He was so polite and professional. We will definitely be back to Ro. We found a new favorite spot to eat. They also have a happy hour which I'd love to try! @living.with.reg

We came for Happy Hour, and it was by far the best decision of the day. The Happy Hour deal is definitely worth it. They offer great deals on food and drinks. We ordered a variety of items, including the spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, gyoza, and pork belly bao buns. Everything was delicious, and I would definitely order these again. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was stunning with an appealing color scheme. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

If you have not tried Ro yet, you are missing out! I've been multiple times now and the quality and service is always on point. Atmosphere is great, love when you can tell a restaurant cares about the little details, like having mouthwash and floss in restrooms. It's my go to restaurant for sushi in Tampa, highly recommend the ceviche, ro roll or bluefin platter. My recent visit I tried a Wagyu entree off of their weekly features menu and it was fantastic! Melt in your mouth. Highly recommend

Solid sushi place, would come back. The ambient lighting was a vibe. We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us great service.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully with nice ambient lights. The food is very good. It's a little bit expensive, but very good. Shrimp tempura roll was cooked to perfection, the rice has nice texture and great taste. My wife loves the garlic shrimp, which is cooked the perfection as well. The fried rice was really good just a little bit too much onions overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Ro is a newer concept by Three Oaks Hospitality who in recent years has garnered a notorious reputation for pushing out hyped concepts that end up being quite ordinary. There's really no strong negative here, it just feels like this place is for people who have money to blow but don't know any better on good Japanese cuisine. For reference, three small plates and a beer set me back $120 with tip which is the same price as the 15-course omakase (plus bottomless sake) I did in New York at a place where produce is shipped fresh from Japan weekly. A cocktail will set you back $25, a small plate will set you back $20, and you'll still be hungry enough to head to the Irish pub down the street for more food. It wasn't all average though, the ambiance is great. The entire place feels like a Japanese sunset, and for what it's worth our server accurately described everything and handled our experience with the care that she could. At the end of the day, I would just rather go to Tori on Kennedy which is newer than this place, has produce just as fresh, and I can get out of there with a full belly for $50-75.

Love to stop in here for sushi rolls. The cocktails are divine. The sushi is delicious and the staff is amazing. I've never had a bad time here. I have been by myself, with friends, and it's a cute date night spot. It was pouring raining when I left and the host walked me to the parking garage door with his umbrella. They really do go above and beyond with their service and I appreciate it.

Finally tried this spot. The food was just not good. The rolls looked and tasted like they came from Publix. The bulgogi hand rolls (2 @ $23 each) were cold and not appetizing. Finally, this avocado half filled with crab and shrimp thing was disgusting. The avocado was black and bruised. Final bill was $162 with tip .. even if the bill was free, I would not eat here again .. Oh .. they owe me a dry cleaning service because my pants are stained from the dirty chairs .. Apparently they actually strived at one time to be Michelin rated .. long way to go.

FOOD IS AMAZING and the ice cream they give you at the end is fire!! Everyone working is professional and kind. And of course the bathroom had a great mirror for selfies.

The restaurant is beautiful. I was surprised of how nice the restroom is, the toothpick and little eyelashes brush were a nice touch! The the service is good. We received complimentary ice cream for dessert which I really appreciated as it tasted so good. We ordered the yaki avocado for appetizer, which is interesting and creative. I cant remember the roll's name but it was one of the signature one. Tbh, the taste overall is a little underwhelming. We also ordered spicy tuna roll at end, which was unexpectedly better than their signature roll. We enjoyed the cocktail "shinshun"

Ro was pretty good and I ate there for lunch and dinner. Most of the dishes were really good but some were just okay. The ambiance is great and the service is as well. Lunch wasn't too packed and I didn't really need a reservation but for dinner especially on weekends, highly recommend making a reservation. A couple of items that stood out to me are you must order the yaki avocado, omakase yakitori, and the chutoro truffle roll under the signature maki. You will not be disappointed but the other items were good but weren't mind-blowing. I was not a fan of the baked lobster roll so don't waste your money on it and it tasted so simple. What I ordered: - king salmon crudo: salmon, yuzu, coconut, avocado silk, lime caviar, micro greens - kaisou seaweed salad: wakame, seaweed noodles, sesame ponzu - yaki avocado: king crab, sweet shrimp, brûlée sabayon, ikura, scallions (MUST ORDER!) - spicy karaage: rice crusted chicken, fermented chili, pepper glaze, rice cracker pearls, vegetable fried rice (doesn't serve fried rice during lunch even though the server gave us the lunch menu) - baked lobster: Maine lobster, brule sauce (don't get) - chutoro truffle: wagyu beef, chutoro (must get!!) - omakase yakitori: chef 's choice of grilled proteins and accompanying sauce

This was a unique experience. Let me talk about the service: it was impeccable. Drinks: I asked the server if she could get me a Mocktail that was sweet and spicy and she delivered. As a groups, we had few appetizers from sushi, to shrimp and every single item was exquisite. I ordered the lamp chops ( amazing). Everyone was happy with their food. The risotto looked and tasted VERY good. And then the duck was served!! That was the star of the evening. This is a special place, so make sure to go try it!!

Had a wonderful experience at Ro last night. Parking in Hyde Park Village is free in the garages, which is always a good start! Our server's name was Camila and she was great! I ordered the Kizuna (reyka vodka, apple sake, chai, montenegro amaro, lemon) to start and my friend ordered a bottle of sake (suigei drunken whale tokubetsu junmai). I looooved my drink - from the metal "Ro" garnish with apple slices to the taste itself...amazing! We shared the seaweed salad, wagyu gyoza, omakase (12 pieces, chef's choice), ishiyaki hot rock (a5), and then they gave us each complimentary vanilla bean ice cream with caramel sauce and chocolate chips on top. Everything is made to order and comes out as it's ready, but they will course it out if you prefer. It's also tradition to end with the sushi according to our server, so we did that! I liked the gyoza, I loved the seaweed salad, and totally drooled over the rest. We did love everything we ate. The true showstopper was the otoro in the omakase...oh my god??? But really, everything was great! I loved doing the hot rock because it was super fun to cook the wagyu ourselves. They also give you a sauce, wasabi, and salt, which was fun to play around with. It's also just a really cool restaurant. The decor, the lighting, the music!! We were in and out in an hour and a half, too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was inviting, creating the perfect setting for a delightful culinary experience. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, each piece a flavorful masterpiece. What truly stood out was their matcha drink that complemented the sushi perfectly. This restaurant not only masters the art of sushi but also delivers an exceptional service. A must-try for sushi enthusiasts and anyone seeking a unique matcha delight!

My favorite happy hour in Tampa! Quality food and cocktails on the HH menu including my favorite, the popcorn shrimp. It's only available at the bar, which has ample seating inside and outside. Although it is an earlier happy hour, the service is fast and I went on a Friday.

The ambiance inside is very vibey and the service was great. The problem is the price point. This place is too expensive for the quality that you get. The sushi is 2x the price of Izakaya Tori and Sunda. The quality is not as good. I would say check out Sunda for a similar vibe and cuisine but much better food. Photos to follow

A cute perfect first date spot we sat at the bar where Diego served us, he was amazing! He made one of the best shots I've ever taken. The ambiance was beautiful, dimly lit and had light house music on. My date said his lamb chops were incredible!

Really enjoyed this spot and would certainly recommend it if you're in the Hyde Park area. Service was excellent and drinks were fairly priced. The decor was also tasteful.

My only experience at this restaurant made me excited to return for more! I sat at the bar with two friends on Saturday night and we enjoyed a few drinks and small plates. The steak that you cook on a hot plate was a unique experience (at least for me) and the fried rice with beef (recommended by a nearby patron) was DELICIOUS. The menu is a little highly priced but that didn't seem to stop the crowd, as this place was jam packed. We were treated kindly by our bar staff and they had some solid recommendations with pretty good menu knowledge. I didn't love that they have the sink or area of cleaning right near where we were sitting. The smell emitting from that kind of area is not always the greatest. Next time, I plan to return to sit at a table in the dining room versus at the bar.

This is a really cool and trendy place in an awesome neighborhood of Tampa called Hyde Park. The place feels inviting and fun, with a DJ booth next to the bar. There are some really great seafood dishes, including sushi rolls. I really enjoyed mine. The service was really good, although pretty slow. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. Definitely go check this place out.

Visited Sunday for an early lunch, was not crowded at all, seated right away, service was great. Very pretty contemporary decor. And loved that they have a decent selection of vegetarian options, veggie bento plate, French toast option looked good too, as did the healthy beginning dish , but we were satisfied with the bento and bao buns. Best surprise at the end was the ice cream with Oreo and caramel sauce that comes with the bento! Would definitely recommend!

I really don't understand why people go here. The service is awful, prices high, and the sushi falls apart because they don't know how to make sushi rice. Finally, they pad their $29 noodle dish, made with duck scraps, with cheap red cabbage. The place is all fluff and no substance. I've been eating sushi for forty years, and this may be my worst experience when you factor in price.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant and excellent dining experience! I came during happy hour and ordered the French 75 (only $10 during social hour) and several bites including spicy tuna roll, edamame, gyoza and dragon roll. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh, the service was fast and the happy hour specials are affordable. The bathroom is also beautiful- make sure you check it out. If you come on the weekend, definitely make a reservation. Will be returning soon!

Drinks, service, apps, Nigiri! I would go again and again just for that! Main meals... did not very much enjoy, or the sushi rolls. Maybe it's what I ordered, but it was mushy. Great atmosphere as well, they have it decorated so nice! The bathrooms are impeccable! They have anything and everything you need (mouthwash, qtips, location!)

My husband and I spent our anniversary dinner here on their opening week. Despite it being opening week, they had everything perfect down to a science. The service was excellent. Our waitress Becca was helpful, knowledge and patient. And the food service was efficient. Loved how the foods just came out of the kitchen as they were made. There was always something arriving to our table. Next, the ambience of this place was super cool. It was dimly lit and romantic, but also very trendy. There is a small "dj booth" in the corner, but it's not obnoxious. It just adds to the elevated vibes. Next, the food. Everything was SO good. For drinks, we just had beer and one of the whiskey tasting flights (super fun and the whiskeys were great). The rest of the foods we shared are below: - Hamachi crudo: literally the most fresh delicious fish ever. It was like butter in my mouth. And the serrano pepper and sauce added the perfect amount of spice. This is a must order - Spicy salmon roll: fantastic roll, 10/10 as expected - Wagyu gyoza: prob the best gyoza I've ever had. Soooo yummy - Vegetable fried rice: it was a delicacy for rice and also the most filling part of the meal - Miso black cod: the absolute STAR of the show. Truly a DELICACY. It was either the best or tied with the best miso black cods I've had (and I order it everytime I can). Last thing I'll say - obviously everything was insanely delicious as described above. But this place is quite pricey and the portions are quite small (as expected with this kind of restaurant). So be prepared to spend big to be satisfied, but definitely a recommendation for a special occasion!

Ro is a new restaurant concept located with in the Hyde apark Village. It is located adjacent to On Swann with a free parking garage right with in the same building as well as paid street parking and valet parking.  The overall decor of the restaurant is sleek and chic. The restaurant is dimly lit and a bit romantic and intimate in my opinion. They have a pretty good menu with lots of options starting with cold options, then hot, then signature tastings (including pasta, wagyu, and hot pots), Maki, sushi, Ramen and salads etc. As for drinks they also have a great selection with sake, beer, and wine available. Cocktails consist of spirits mixed with sakes and even cold brew. I believe there were a total of 12 specialty cocktails. The cocktail I tried was the Kizuna, which I liked a lot. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I did advise them that I was a Celiac and had to have some special adjustments made to my order. They were very helpful with that.  Overall, I was very happy with the way our food came out. We had a lot of great items. Since this was our first time dining there I can't say what is the "best" or must try, but I would like to try the smoked duck, but it has to be ordered in advance. We had the Chef prepared 12 pc omakase. I would definitely recommend that. I am a huge fan of omakase and order it evertime I can. We will definitely be returning to try more on the menu. This is another great restaurant by 3 Oaks Hospitality.  Price wise the meal is $$$ but I was really glad Ro had a menu that you could order what you wanted and not have to deal with a pre fixed menu with a very high price.

Hospitality was one of the best I've received at a restaurant in a long time. Our waitress, Stevie, made awesome recommendations for almost everything we ordered, including drinks. Music and design of this new restaurant, was awesome. Beautiful and very cozMichelin Star chef, Chef Kiichi, gave us some insight on the freshness of the seafood provided. Being able to meet and talk about his culinary art, was a pleasure. We'll be back sooner than later. Some favorites- King Salmon crudo Hamachi carpaccio kintsugi -kikori whiskey, shiitake demerara, fee brothers plum bitters- genki -haku vodka, borghetti cafe, cold brew coffee, vanilla-

I really wanted to like this place. They have the right things going for them, but a lot isn't working. Service was very, very slow. Drinks (3 cocktails and one glass of wine) took over 25 minutes. The specialty cocktails had excellent presentation but unimpressive taste for the steep price. We brought a cake for a birthday in the group after dinner, but we sat at our table ignored for over 20 minutes without any silverware or plates to even enjoy our cake. We ordered their speciality duck for the table and it was delicious. Honestly, in my opinion, just tasted like chicken with no standout flavor. I wouldn't get it again. Of their apps, the only thing I was blown away by was their gyoza -- phenomenal. Their fried rice hit the spot but other than that, pretty disappointed by my experience here. I'd be willing to give this place another shot once they work out some kinks.

Food was really good. High quality sushi and well prepared. Presentation was very nice as well and so as choices of saki. The dessert ice cream was very good. Our waitress was amazing, we were a party of eight in the private room and she did not skip a beat. The waitress knew the menu inside out and was able to explain every item and make recommendations. The only reason I'm giving RO four stars is because of the ambience and very loud music. Not to mention the sound system was terrible and made it even worse. The restaurant itself gave a cold vibe, felt like an open space warehouse with a bunch of tables and a bar, and the walls were dark. We felt like we were at a rave party. The restaurant needs some better design to feel warm and welcoming.

We had an incredible experience at Ro on 12.30.24. We were a large group and were able to be seated in the private dining room for my niece's birthday celebration. Our server Jovan, was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious with our questions. It was a busy time at Ro, but we had flavorful food all served hot and delicious. The sushi items were super fresh. The cocktails were unique and added an extra element to our overall experience. No complaints. Please let management know this is a great place to dine.

Had a late dinner here with some friends on a Saturday night. We were fortunately able to be seated right away. The restaurant and the music was a nice vibe. All of the food we ordered was great. The drinks were great as well. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu and the ingredients of the dishes. Would definitely return for another visit.

Just wow! This is a must try if you're in the Tampa Bay area. The ambience and decor is absolutely stunning. Ro is a Asian American fusion restaurant. They have sushi, fried rice, chicken, duck, pork, and noodles. The drinks are phenomenal. I recommend all of them. My favorite was espresso martini. For appetizers I recommend the popcorn shrimp it was a flavorful spicy and delicious. The pork fried rice was extremely good and had a smoky flavor from the meat. All in all this place is now my favorite in Hyde park! I will definitely be back!

I would like to preface this review by saying I'm not a big seafood fan, but because I am a foodie, I really do try to expand my pallet and taste things i wouldn't normally go for. So coming to ro I was very excited to try all of these amazing options and i had high expectations. it's safe to say to exceeding mine & they have a new regular on their hands. We had a really late reservation at 10:15 PM. I parked in the parking garage, which is a quick walk to the restaurant. But there is a valet option and street parking available. We were happily greeted and were sat fairly quickly. The restaurant decor from the inside and outside was absolutely beautiful and really set the tone for our upscale dinner. It's dimly lit and is engulfed in beautiful orange lighting. Perfect for a date night or a small girls dinner. Our server Stevie was an absolute dream and she gave us the best recommendations. She also explained to us how the order of the food comes out as it's prepared so it definitely gave us some expectation on how things would roll, loved her for telling us that in advance. There's a wonderful choice of cocktails and sake to choose from. My first drink was the ichigo-ichie and it was so creamy and delicious. When the server delivers it to you, they pour the Matcha over the ice and it was such a cute touch. I loved it so much. We ordered a lot, so I will label all the photos in the captions but we had the popcorn shrimp, the ro & chororo truffle maki, the Hamachi, wagyu goyoza (which was my only complaint, i wish it was steamed & not fried because i couldn't taste that wagyu) and the 12 piece omakase platter which was AMAZING! Chef Kiichi came out to tell us about each fish and we thanked him for the dedication to his craft because we had such an amazing experience there. I'll def be going back!

The customer service was impeccable. Our waitress was constantly checking to see if we needed anything we even got a free dessert. The bathrooms are very nice and clean with accommodations. The food was delicious and I am deeply satisfied. This was definitely a success for the entire family.
