Rò Steakhouse - Review - Coral Gables - Miami - The Infatuation

"Rò Steakhouse’s design is inspired by a cave. The ceiling is covered in lumber, which would come in handy for building a fire if you lived in an actual cave. The Gables spot, of course, has a lot of steaks, but they also do tacos, tuna tostadas, spicy rigatoni, and branzino chicharron." - Mariana Trabanino

We dined at Ró Steakhouse on Christmas Eve (Dec 24) and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Our server, Victor, was outstanding—professional, attentive, and extremely respectful of the flow and privacy of the dinner, which made the night feel special rather than rushed. The ambience is what truly sets this place apart. The interior design is stunning and immersive, with a rustic, wood-heavy aesthetic that feels like being in a cozy forest lodge near a wood-fired oven—warm, smoky, and incredibly inviting. It’s one of the most impressive restaurant interiors we’ve seen in Miami. Every dish delivered. The bone marrow platter was rich and indulgent, the ribeye chicharrón was absolutely incredible, and the braised cabbage was surprisingly memorable. Our bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly, the sauces were excellent, and the cocktails were just as strong as the food. We even ordered two desserts because everything looked too good to pass up—and they did not disappoint. Exceptional food, beautiful design, top-tier service, and very reasonable pricing for the quality. We wouldn’t change a thing. This is a must-go steakhouse for a great night out.

I had the most incredible time at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and welcoming. The service of Victor was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and truly interested in making sure everything was perfect. The food was simply exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, the kind that makes you pause and appreciate every bite. You can feel the care and quality in everything they serve. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I left already excited to come back. Highly recommended!

We came to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious. I had the best octopus I’ve ever tasted, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and full of flavor, and the cheesecake was truly outstanding. The restaurant itself was beautiful, with a very pleasant, upscale ambiance that made the night feel extra special. Yuham was our waiter and all his recommendations were on point.

RO Steakhouse is a must-try! We started with the chicharrón and guac it was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, with guacamole that had the perfect citrus balance. I ordered the cowboy steak with bone marrow and it was cooked to perfection, and my wife’s filet mignon was just as impressive. The Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had, and the truffle potato gratin was incredible. For dessert, the famous corn presentation did not disappoint , unique, delicious, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Huge shout-out to our waiter Rey, who was phenomenal. He explained the menu, shared insider details, and truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend!

Food was great. I had the rigatoni with steak. The steak needs more season while the rigatoni was good on its own. We had many other options and sides, the tacos were delicious as well as the italicus spritz and the hibiscus margarita 👌. Food is priced okay and expected due to lactation. Service was amazing as well. However be warned after 11pm which I think is when they close they started playing Luis Miguel and Selena which I am not against it but it kind of kills the vibe. I customer would appreciate if the vibe and experience was kept until your last customer. It just threw us and my group off. Not sure if we will go back. Ohh and the corn dessert was okay. If you love corn go for it. The cheesecake was a hit.

Ro Steakhouse is located on the bottom floor of the Alhambra Towers building. They have valet parking right outside the entrance. This is a new restaurant that has recently opened and was quite impressive. The decor was gorgeous. The entrance to the restaurant was very elegant and the layout was well thought out. We had a larger group and we were able to experience the private dining space. This room was absolutely beautiful and felt very elegant and cozy at the same time. My guests also liked that we had our own private bathroom. This was well thought out and a nice addition to the space. Our waiter, JC (Juan Carlo) was amazing. Everyone’s glass was always full. His food suggestions were on point and he was very available to assist us. Sometimes with large groups, when the tip is already included, the service is not what you would hope it to be but JC was excellent!! Having a large group, everyone ordered different things. We tried a few appetizers and then ordered steaks, branzino, hamburger, pasta, etc. I had the octopus. I was impressed with the octopus as usually when you order it, the portion size is small. This portion size was very generous. We also ordered sides for the table which included the mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and truffle fries. Everything was delicious. Everyone was commenting about how much they enjoyed their food. We were all so satisfied with dinner, we decided to share dessert. We ordered the Dubai chocolate molten lava cake, and an ice cream dessert that looks like corn on the cob but actually has dulce de leche inside. It was definitely worth a try and very creative. The restaurant was a great experience. I was also told that their happy hour is awesome. I didn’t get to experience it, but will go back again to give it a try. I would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant! Very impressed.

Wow! Really, ro is just wow. The service was amazing, starting with victor and yohan, and ending with the manager ljamil. The drinks are 10/10. Top 3 goes to the smoke ro, espresso martini, and 130 grados!! For appetizers we tried both chicharrones and they did not disappoint. Steak all the way for entrees, of course and they were fantastic as well. Finishing off with the desserts: corn crème brûlée and berry cheesecake, TO DIE FOR. The corn dessert was simple and a perfectly soft and light finish, the cheesecake was super creamy, fruity, and delicious. All in all the experience was great. The place is gorgeous and very VIP feeling. Definitely coming back. Thank you ljamil and the entire team!!!

Yelp
Was excited to try this new Mexican steakhouse especially for their Wagyu on the stone dish. Unfortunately, they had run out by the time we arrived, which was surprising for a Wednesday night, not even a weekend. Disappointing, to say the least. We ended up ordering the cowboy steak instead, and it absolutely did not disappoint. It came with bone marrow, was super tender, and perfectly cooked. We paired it with truffle gratin potatoes, which complemented the steak beautifully. For starters, we tried the ribeye chicharron, rock shrimp, and oysters which were all very good . For dessert, we went with their signature corn illusion ice cream filled with dulce de leche. It had a very unique and acquired flavor. Not necessarily my favorite, but still interesting to try. We also learned about their weekday lunch special $35 for an appetizer entre and one side of your choice , which includes the skirt steak as an option. That's a deal worth coming back for. The space itself is beautifully decorated inside, with a stylish, upscale feel that makes it perfect for a night out. The bar area is super cool too, and the fake fire illusion adds a fun and eyecatching touch to the ambiance.

Yelp
Newly opened in the Coral Gables area, Ro Steakhouse provided a whole culinary experience. From the food to the service ( shout out to Yuham, our server), it was an exceptional dinner. I was fortunate enough to try multiple plates for dinner and I would recommend each one + the coconut mojito I ordered first. From the hot starters the sierra flamed cheese is great for those cheese lovers- served with tortilla, it's nice and melty. The branzino chicharrón was so good with the leche de Tigre and I think the portion can definitely be for more than two people. From the cold starters the tuna tataki was fresh and flavorful. From the seafood- the grilled octopus is a must try item. It was one of the best I've had! Moving on to the meats, the fire & bone tacos were a close second to the octopus as my top choice. The plate brings two tacos but they were hearty and I could probably have just eaten that and be okay. Probably not enough for someone that can eat more. As my main dish I ordered the ribeye which was cooked exactly to my liking by the time I got to it, I was already getting full from trying everything else but still I went on to try the asparagus, broccolini and Brussel sprouts as the side dishes. If you have to pick one- do the Brussels sprouts! As far as desserts, they had four options. The cheesecake was a big portion for me and on the sweeter side. It wasn't something I could eat by myself no matter how good it was. The other dessert was the lava cake with pistachio ice cream.... that ice cream was top notch and I could have had that by itself. I would have tried more if I could fit any more and will be back to try some more dishes in the future.

Yelp
Outstanding, new Mexican Steakhouse in the heart of Coral Gables. Beautifully designed restaurant, classy crowd, excellent food and very attentive service. Came for their weekday lunch special menu and everything was on point and delicious. The complimentary bread with chive butter was delicious. For the special $36 lunch price I chose the diver scallops for my appetizer followed by a skirt steak that was cooked a perfect medium rare and accompanied with roasted garlic. I selected mashed potatoes as my side dish. Again, everything was delicious. I had a nice glass of red wine with the meal and left completely satisfied. Beautiful bar area as well....I will be returning many times to this wonderful addition to the Gables.

Yelp
I had made a dinner reservation 3 weeks in advance for my husband's birthday. I was excited to try this place. I received a call 2 days prior to reschedule for lunch time or reschedule for another day due to the restaurant having a private event. I find this extremely unprofessional. The day should've been blocked off. I now have to search for a place last minute.

Yelp
The server Ray was very good. I liked how he kept checking in on us. The food was amazing for a newly opened restaurant, my only issue was the lack of consistency. If you order a plate such as the Skirt Steak, another table had the garlic removed for them as part of the service, but when it was our table, i had to physically squeeze the garlic. Consistency makes the guest experience and it was missing that night. It is a great place, the food is amazing especially the Rock Shrimp and the Illusion corn. Overall the server made sure we had everything we asked for, we would definitely be back to give it another chance. I'll be promoting Ro Steakhouse next time.

Yelp
The food in this location is excellent price versus service and excellence is a great value and more importantly the service that you get makes you feel very welcoming and enjoyable at all times highly recommended. Invited my friend who know about international cuisine and they were surprised as to the quality and service of this location.
