GO BEARS!!! 🐻 we stopped in after a long day on the river and the place was packed from walk to wall. we were worried we weren’t going to be able to grab a seat but luckily the group in front of us left and moments later a huge table fit for my group opened up, in other words, the stars aligned!! we all ordered different things. two folks honing in on the mac daddy hamburger and myself and another getting the banh mi salad. friendly staff. great food. highly recommend would i come again? ABSOLUTELY and for the baby back ribs 🤤

This new concept from the team at Boon doesn’t disappoint. The Mac Daddy burger is a substantial gourmet rendition of a fast food burger that very much hits the spot. The Thai pork shoulder was quite good if you’re looking for something a little lighter and brighter. The crispy tofu appetizer was great. We absolutely will be coming back here on future trips to Guerneville.

To begin with, the average price range is $20-$30 (not $10-$20) for lunch and this is without A drink or appetizer I had the Bahn Mi sandwich. It was very average… The main reason I like the sandwich is because of the pickled vegetables…but there were very few on my sandwich and those that were there were shredded, so it was difficult to taste the zing of flavor. I did have fries with the sandwich that were yummy. I ate outside, so didn’t see the inside of the restaurant. My waiter was OK. But once I had my food, he never checked back on me.

Food was ok. Flavors were good but the meat was overcooked enough that I didn't eat it. It's a fine place to grab a meal, but given the choice I'd choose somewhere else.

Expensive and little food. I paid 30$ for 6 Gnocchi and little sauce. Really? You gonna pay 12$ for 2 eggs as a starter. It's a joke. Food taste good (not incredible), waiter was amazing and nice atmosphere. But just go if you wanna spend a lot or still hungry when you get off there. One main plate is not enough for a lunch or dinner. It's not a fancy place to serve such small amounts.

Food for everyone! Bar bites, healthy dinner salads, and a collection of indulgences made better than anywhere else in west county. Road trip is a flavorful adventure. Great wine list too!

Love the green curry here! Extra curry sauce would be best as it’s dry sometimes and not hot enough but super delicious! 😋

Stopped by Road Trip for lunch today. Such an awesome place for a meal. We ordered the Mexican Street Corn Salad to start. It was refreshing and had a great lime dressing to bring out the flavor. The best part of the meal was the Free Bird chicken sandwich. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The slaw and aioli sauce balanced out the chicken. The fries were good but the in house ketchup was amazing!!! Great service and locally owned...5 stars and highly recommend if you're in the Guerneville area!

Pretty neat place. The food was decent and the drinks were nice too. Fairly small in there but it's in a small town so don't expect massive crowds. The staff was nice and friendly too. I would definitely go back and get their Mexican street corn salad and their fried chicken sandwich.

Visited twice for takeout. First visit, I tried the gluten free fish and chips. My husband had the burger. The food was packaged well and quite enjoyable. Second visit, I ordered the Thai Pork and almond cake. Both were packaged nicely. The pork was tender, but way too salty. I could not eat it. I shared with my husband and he agreed that it was too salty to eat. I felt bad wasting food. Staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant space looked inviting. I only noticed inside seating.

This is a solid spot. I don't have any complaints. The menu has fan favorites that can please a crowd; burger, fried chicken sandwich, street dog, basket of fries, and fish 'n chips. There are some interesting choices too such as fried mushrooms served a la calamari style, deviled eggs, clever salad options, flatbreads, etc. We ordered and split the mushrooms, Mexican corn salad, and the Mac daddy burger. Everything tasted good. The salad is served on hearts of romaine like a wedge salad and we found that to be a bit of a failed execution. The hearts for our salad were like rocks, so 1/2 the salad felt inedible. The goodies on top were slim when comparing the serving overall, that was a bit disappointing, but taste was there. Burger was delicious! Cooked perfectly at medium-rare which is sometimes challenging to actually get. Fries are delicious! The mushrooms were probably my favorite bite but that's because I love mushrooms and these were rather perfectly fried with crunch on the outside but still some chew to the bite. I loved the play on the serving, if you don't know better it could be mistaken for calamari as I mentioned previously. We arrived right as they opened so we didn't battle a crowd. I love Boone so I think this is a nice addition to the downtown stretch. It's not shining on its own, in my humble opinion like Boone, but we felt it was a solid and delicious meal.

Road Trip is one of my fav restos in Gville. Initially, I was really upset when Brot closed, but they seasonably bring back some of my favs and Road Trip is undeniably delish. When the hubs asks me where I want to go to din, it's often this place because I'm frequently "Feeling Spritz-y" (my fav low ABV cocktail there) and often craving their Mac Daddy burger and the Mexican Street Corn Salad. The service is friendly and fast and the ambiance is chill with a community feeling. I often get the GF almond cake to go so I can have some post meal at home in my stretchy pants and the other half with coffee in the AM.

For a group of 14 people, we were seated fairly quickly on a Saturday afternoon. Food is pricey, but you're in Downtown Guerneville so yeah. The Poutine fries were just okay. The fried mushrooms were tasty. I love mushrooms. Haha. The Mac Daddy burger was juicy, but it doesn't come with fries. You have to add it to your order which is $5. The burger alone is already $19. My kids shared a kids meal which was a hog dog and fries $13. Yes, THIRTEEN DOLLARS. My husband ordered a salmon poke bowl. Did he like it? He did, but I think he had better and for a more reasonable price. Overall, we had a good time and the staff was nice. They give kewpie Mayo (Japanese mayo) and ketchup when they serve your fries unless you ask otherwise.

Loved taking a drive out to Guerneville, the weather was beautiful and high made me crave even more their MacDaddy burger. My mother chose the fries and I decided on the Mac salad. I was disappointed with any of their service. Our waiter was taking on a lot of the tables and he managed to do a great job!

What an amazing place! I was able to try Roadtrip for the first time recently and absolutely loved the vibe of this restaurant. But the food, blew me away! Staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I will definitely be visiting more often now :$

Wow we loved this! We got take out so I can't comment on the restaurant itself but my husband said it was very clean inside. The food was so good! I got the Mac Daddy which was nice a pink and juicy. I could have used some onions on it but I was halfway through before I noticed there weren't any. The pickles were really tangy. I also had the Mexican street corn salad which was hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. The man that we spoke to on the phone to place our order was very pleasant. Would go again for sure

Road Trip is amazing and a much needed addition to our town! Christa has something for everyone on the menu, even tasty cheesy flatbread for the kids. Service was outstanding paying close attention to all the details. Ambience was energetic and friendly, cozy. My wife had the Mac daddy burger and I had the crispy chicken sando with ceviche as a starter. Highly recommend if you're looking for a classy fun place to enjoy really delicious comfort foods.

Wow and Amazing sum it up. The DIY Deviled eggs are the best I've ever had. Vegetarian Orecchiette pasta and pound cake dessert were also incredible. Thank you Crista!

Food is fantastic. Presentation beautiful. Service is great. I have a prickly eater and our server was super kind and accommodating. Can't wait to be back to try more yummy food!

So grateful for this new restaurant!! The green curry is fantastic and so is the tofu! Thank you Krista for finally having some amazing vegan options for us locals. The veg version of the Mac daddy was incredible and perfect for when we crave a burger but don't want to drive out to Santa Rosa. The mushrooms were amazing too! I recently ordered the Thai panzanella salad with tofu instead of chicken and it didn't not disappoint - fresh and flavorful! Little note: 2/3 times I ordered the curry it came out temped so I had to ask for them to reheat it. I would also love it to be more saucy, I'll just have to ask them for extra saucy next time I'd love to see more vegetarian options and can't wait to go back!

Definitely not what I expected after reading some of the bad reviews, seems like those people came in with an attitude or something because the service was more than welcoming as new customers. I come from Sonoma,CA and these prices are equal to or less than back at home so I make that a win. The food was well portioned and presented on the plate. The chicken sando was well seasoned and fried but a bit on the hard tender side, The Mac Daddy was a great seasoned burger wouldn't change a thing! Will definitely be coming back for a date night as the interior setting is nicely lit, but during the afternoon, a low dim light allows their projector screen to be played.

Best food I have had in Guerneville. service, atmosphere and menu was all top notch. I got the special poke bowl which wasn't on the menu and loved it. It was also quite fun making my own deviled eggs.

The food is expensive for what it is. I don't mind paying $25 dollars for a grass fed burger with truffle fries. However, I had a regular angus beer burger that was overstuffed with shredded romaine and prepared raw. As you eat the burger tons of lettuce falls out. It's too messy to eat in front of a date. That's not too big of a deal, but my burger patty meat was very pink, so I didn't think I should eat it. I give credit to this place because they comped my burger, but it's not really about the $$$. I just wanted a good burger after a day in the sun by the pool. The manager finally rung us up after we waited way too long to pay. For example, I had time to walk down to the wine shop (top tier btw) and walk back, and my partner and I still had to wait upon my return. Finally, I walked up, and the manager was able to clock that we needed help. The wait staff are nice. I've been here three times, and I really dislike saying anything negative about River restaurants because we need more of them! Each time I've eaten here there were issues with the food. I love the boon brand, but I would tell friends to pass on this place. Stay at the hotel, but be ready for hiccups here with the price tag of a fancy restaurant. Two burgers and two glasses of wine will cost you $100. Go to in n out instead. I do want to call out the music. It was so good and the perfect volume to still have good conversation. Lighting also great.

We came for dinner with a party of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids). It is small inside but the restaurant staff were so accommodating. Service and food were excellent. Everything was very fresh.

We were excited to stumble upon this gem during a coastal exploration day. I tried the bond me tofu sandwich, and my daughter had the kimchi quesadilla. The food was tasty and served quickly. It was wonderful to see the chef in the kitchen and socializing about the restaurant. We also loved that the menu had an option to buy the kitchen Beer. Will be back!

Elevated basics. Best wings I've had (we got the Thai style), super flavorful with a lot of meat on the bone. Fantastic hamburger. Waitress was friendly. Also highly recommend the Feeling Spritz-y. Wish I lived closer, would come here all the time.

If you're ever in downtown Guerneville, and looking for a fun, eclectic restaurant, check out Road Trip! Their menu has something. For everyone, from multiple cuisines and cultures. Lots of veggie/vegan options too. Will definitely be back!

Road Trip sadly is nothing more than Road Kill. It is unfortunate this restaurant's attempt to "steal and mimic" delicious food items associated with other restaurants scattered throughout Guerneville and surrounding towns is a complete failure. overpriced and extremely underwhelming food leaves you wondering why did you waste money on "basic" when there's so much better at any other restaurant right next door (i.e. Trillium, which is magnificent; Pat's, which is fantastic; and on and on). I wonder if the "Road Trip" was nothing more than walking the neighborhood thinking it could do better with specialty items notably unique to other restaurants and jacking up the prices to make you feel less than special as everything is meh, and everyone I know who ventured here left without any satisfaction. maybe, a real road trip is needed and something else open up in its place letting this die in peace.

What would we do in Guerneville without Christa Luedtke? It is a troubling question that I hope I never have to answer. Road trip is such a fun concept, made more delightful by the surprising touches (DIY Deviled Eggs!, side bottle of hot sauce with my chicken sandwich) and the warm service. So far we have eaten too much to have room for dessert, but I imagine that is incredible too, based on every boon dessert I have ever had. As to the bad reviews here, I guess haters gonna hate. I am sure some restaurant operators here in town are understandably envious.

What a wonderful addition to Guerneville. The food is delicious and the staff are great! And the space is modern and comfortable. I LOVE their chairs. We can wait to return!

It's just not good. I came in from Windsor for dinner. I've eaten here several times and it's just sooooo underwhelming. The service was good but the food just isn't. The pretzel was hard and served with unsalted butter The elote salad has potential but please cut it up!!! You have these tiny share plates and by the time I've tried to cut up the HEAD of romaine most of it lands on the table The flat bread had almost no flavor and the amount of flour that was on the bottom just ruined what little taste there was. There is no way this is a Chef owned restaurant. Any chef that's actually trained and experienced would know better (he's probably a bad tipper as well)!! The "make your own" deviled eggs is it supposed to be comical?? Everytime I go back I'm just hoping it will be better...and it's just not.

We went for lunch today - it was AMAZING! We started with the jumbo pretzel - it was hot with just the right amount of salt. The beer cheese was awesome! We then shared the Mexican Street corn Salad with chicken. It was fresh and summery and absolutely delicious. We then shared The Mack Daddy burger with fries. The burger was an explosion of amazing flavors in each juicy bite. The atmosphere has a wonderful and warm relaxing vibe. Our server Douglas was the best; friendly, welcoming and had great suggestions. All while being super busy. He never made us feel rushed or that he was too busy to serve us. We can't wait to go back. Which will be soon!

Chef Crista Luedtke does it again! Amazing, yummy food and fabulous design are her hallmarks, but the staff & drinks were wonderful, too. I wanted to try everything but couldn't fit it all in my gob, so we'll be back soon! What is the spice in the slaw? Cardamon? It's something you wouldn't expect and yet it completely works. I love it when a beloved classic is reinvented like this! Yes, I called cabbage, vinegar, and mayo "beloved" :). PS Don't sleep on the T-shirts! They are totally retro-cute.

We had the best experience tonight! The food was absolutely amazing. The poutine was one of the best things I've ever eaten! The schnitzel was so crispy and light. My husband had the halibut special with the most delicious in house made pasta. Our server Douglas was so kind and attentive. We can't wait to come back again!

Love this place. Warm, inviting interior - great staff- exceptional food. We were greeted and seated immediately at 6 pm on a Monday night. About 4 other tables were occupied. The servers were really great, really knowledgeable and pleasant. Let's get to the food. Oh my! I order the pork schnitzel with the mushroom gravy. The dish is gluten-free - a total bonus. Breading on the well-pounded pork was crispy and seasoned. The pork was great. The gravy needs its parade and the mashed potatoes (I don't love mashed potatoes) were great. It is served with Rotkohl - a red cabbage dish - wilted, vinegar'd and served with apples. Perfect. My dining companion had the fish and chips - she cleaned her plate! So good. Don't miss the Napa Reisling! Thanks.

Such a great addition to Downtown Guerneville. Delicious comfort food with an elevated flare! The servers are so kind and the ambiance is relaxed yet elegant enough for a cute date night. The DIY deviled eggs and the street style dog were personal favorites but can't wait to try more items next time I visit.

The food is good and fun! A variety of fun items with freshly locally sourced ingredients and appeals to all sorts of palettes. Service is always kind, even when busy they'll get to you with a smile. Ambience is lovely and lively, especially on a Monday night when everyone seems to want a table here. Fun place to have with a fun menu and great beer on tap selections!

Super fun ambiance, delicious variety of food, great wine - we highly recommend! The waitstaff is super friendly and we've thoroughly enjoyed our meal here 3 times since it opened just a month or two ago. Crista and her team have done it again!

We were hoping that the food would be a new place to eat in Guerneville. Unfortunately, it was horrible! The burger was so over cooked I could not even cut it with a knife. The meat was processed as well and not worth reordering as my fiend also ordered a burger and it was barely edible. No chef would be proud of this basic fare especially at the very high prices! We had one burger, one fish and chips and one empanada appetizer for $65 without drinks. Why is it so difficult to make this simple menu food edible. The staff seemed nice enough but they cannot control the food. I would strongly suggest eating elsewhere in Guerneville.

Chef owner Crista Luedtke knocked it out of the park with this one. This is not to say her other ventures haven't been top notch; they are. But I'm in love with Road Trip right now. First, get the deviled eggs. Just do it. I haven't tried the caviar add but I want to. The Mexican corn salad is everything you'd want in eloté plus refreshing and light romaine crunch. The Mac Daddy burger is perfection. Timing and coursing is spot on and the FOH staff bring just the right amount of attentiveness to their table service. The energy of the dining area is bustling and full of the sounds of happy, well-fed customers. I love it and I'll bet that you will, too.

This establishment has quite Amazing food. Will go here many more times. My daughter loves the burgers.

New favorite spot in town. Had the burger on the first go and the fried chicken sandwich on the second. Both were superb - oh and the mushrooms!

Ugh!! So disappointing. Our main dishes were just not good. My husband had the fish tacos which he says were gross and made with frozen fish. I had the green curry with very little taste and super mushy and overcooked veggies. We should have stuck with the burger. The appetizers were pretty good. I hope they take some of the energy they use to be delish, hip, and happening and use that to improve the food.

The food was very fresh involving a versatile menu and pleasant staff however, I wasn't excited about anything we ordered. The flatbread crust was dark, dry and too floury, w/ the BBQ Texas pork topping too sweet (for me.) I ordered my burger med. rare, w/o the secret sauce, but it was served well-done, and although our nice waitress offered to send it back, I didn't want to wait the extra time. We tried the Mexican street corn w/ added chicken, which was good but not worth 19 bucks, and although I've never had egg whites topping a b/c wedge, the addition only made it look like there was plenty of blue cheese topping, when there wasn't. A few diners mentioned the fried chicken sandwich was "ok", but no raves. I was hoping this place would rate, but it's just mediocre for the $$$. Hope things improve, as we need a good local restaurant here in this neck of the woods!

Very disappointing! The food was overpriced and pretty tasteless (the fries were good though). The "Calabrian" ketchup) that came with the fries had no Calabrian spice in it, and tasted more of hoisin and honey than anything. It took 45 minutes for our second of two entrees to arrive at the table despite ordering them at the same time. The first, Banh Mi Salad lacked flavor and the chicken was quite dry. The second, the pricey Gnudi was nothing like gnudi should be. They tasted overly of lemon, and the veggies that were to accompany them were almost non existent (4-5 very small pieces of zucchini only). The waiter seldom bothered to check in with us. Very noisy interior! All in all a very lackluster waste of money.

Looking for a place to eat after visiting the area. This place was amazing! We had friendly and knowledgeable staff, and asked lots of questions about the menu. The fish and chips were delicious, including the handcrafted sauces, coleslaw and fries. My friend got the Mexican Corn salad and lived it. Their beers were tasty, and my bottle of craft soda was wonderful. It has a fun vibe for casual dining. Definitely a didn't miss place when you are in town.

It's so difficult to describe how awful the service is. The servers and the management have no idea what they are doing. You are offered a table, so you expect that the kitchen is ready to prepare your order. However, that is not what happens. Even though they are not ready, they still sit you. You only get part of your order and someone else on your table will NOT get the order until 45 minutes lates. Meanwhile, you see the servers running around, completely ignoring you. You ask for the rest of your order and you don't even get a plausible excuse or an apology. The kitchen is a mess, mixing up orders. The management is not even present and you are in the middle of a chaos that ruins your dinner. On top of it, the menu is disappointing and the food not so good. You can have a better experience in a cheaper restaurant. About the ambience, so it's chaotic, unpleasant and very noisy. This is not a place to be if you want to have good food, good service and good experience. This place certainly does not represent at all the beautiful vibe of Guerneville.

fried mushrooms, Mexican street corn salad and their version of an Aperol spritz are what dreams are made of! super attentive staff too. Nice lighting and fun music with Lampoon family vacation playing on the film projector. great addition to the guerneville restaurant scene!

I took a mini road trip to come here after reading about Road Trip Restaurant in Sonoma Magazine and I was NOT disappointed. My husband had the secret sauce hamburger which was delicious. My friend had the chicken sandwich and was pleased. I ordered the Thai dish and it was beyond delicious! I am a big foodie enjoying anything from Cyrus 20 course meal to taco trucks and have to say I will be returning. We finished off our meal with the chocolate pudding and enjoyed a few beers along the way. I was pleasantly surprised with the price point of the tab, and even committed to my husband how reasonable it was for the delicious food and service we received. Our waiter was very attentive and very friendly. This is a must try!

I got the gluten free fish and chips . They are so good ! I ordered them again the next night. Gluten free can be such a drag I am so grateful to be able to eat something that tastes like it NOT gluten free. The French fries are crispy and the coleslaw is not to sweet it's just right.
