Yelp
This is a solid spot. I don't have any complaints. The menu has fan favorites that can please a crowd; burger, fried chicken sandwich, street dog, basket of fries, and fish 'n chips. There are some interesting choices too such as fried mushrooms served a la calamari style, deviled eggs, clever salad options, flatbreads, etc.
We ordered and split the mushrooms, Mexican corn salad, and the Mac daddy burger. Everything tasted good. The salad is served on hearts of romaine like a wedge salad and we found that to be a bit of a failed execution. The hearts for our salad were like rocks, so 1/2 the salad felt inedible. The goodies on top were slim when comparing the serving overall, that was a bit disappointing, but taste was there.
Burger was delicious! Cooked perfectly at medium-rare which is sometimes challenging to actually get. Fries are delicious!
The mushrooms were probably my favorite bite but that's because I love mushrooms and these were rather perfectly fried with crunch on the outside but still some chew to the bite. I loved the play on the serving, if you don't know better it could be mistaken for calamari as I mentioned previously.
We arrived right as they opened so we didn't battle a crowd. I love Boone so I think this is a nice addition to the downtown stretch. It's not shining on its own, in my humble opinion like Boone, but we felt it was a solid and delicious meal.
