Absolutely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I have been eating at Roaming Rooster at their other locations for the past few years, this was my first time at this location and it is by far our favorite. We came in New Year's Eve with a party of 8 around 1 PM. We were able to order and find seats immediately. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The woman running the front was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The facility was very clean and well put together. The only issue we had was that there was no soap in the bathroom. I highly recommend and will return.

I ordered food through Uber Eats and Roaming Rooster basically gave me anything they wanted… And then the phone number on Google is just an automated voicemail number. I ordered a Bacon, egg, cheese, biscuit with no cheese. They gave me one strip of bacon broken into three pieces… I also ordered a Chicken biscuit add bacon and they did the same with the bacon, and put American cheese instead of Cheddar cheese that’s listed on the ingredients on the sandwich. Never again!! Just an update, I have them a shot again and my sandwich looks as though I asked for light chicken! Eat here at your own risk! The cost of the sandwich isn’t worth what they’re giving you. I ordered a medium heat honey butter sandwich on a potato bun with no cheese and this is what I got! New picture added!

So my uber eats order was stolen so I come to the store to see if they can assist me and both managers aren’t black one is Hispanic and the other middle eastern they refuse to help me all they could say was call uber so I had to pay for me and my kids food twice which was so messed up these managers don’t belong in this community they belong uptown somewhere. This is my first and last time at this location I’m not gone count the business out as a whole because I know if my people was here I would’ve been assisted the way I know I should’ve never again

Just left this place for lunch, - Cashier Jada C cashier gives FREE refills to UPS, Amazon basically any BODY IN A UNIFORM GETS free REFILLS OF BEVERAGE. Cant get a regular cup of ice, my daughter could not get the same free refill that you gave UPS? refund me my money customer service is HORRIBLE

Roaming Rooster is an excellent choice to have when it comes to eating out, their flavor full, sweet and spicy honey butter sandwich is a standout, The coleslaw and spicy pieces of chicken on top of it, makes a delicious yet tasty combination of a unique and authentic recipe. I would definitely recommend it and I will absolutely come back to buy it again. The food is good, the service is awesome and the prices are even better.

First time visiting Roaming Rooster. The food was excellent, customer service was great, and surprisingly, they were playing old school hip-hop (The Bridge Is Over by BDP). The fries were boardwalk style. The additional sauces were a pleasant surprise. I ordered the honey butter with medium heat with oreo milkshake and the buffalo mild with half-and-half. The ice machine was broken, but the owner or manager mentioned going next door to accommodate us. Needless to say, we'll be back to try other selections.

This was my second time visiting this location my wife and I really enjoyed our evening together, Everything was good to go. It’s better if you can dine in.

I love a breakfast biscuit sandwich and Roaming Rooster always hits the spot! I placed my order online for pick up. The inside of the restaurant is small with little seating but always feels welcoming. The sandwich is always a bit. Breakfast is only available until around 11:00. I always order the honey butter biscuit (medium or hot heat) with a side of tator tots. I don't care for the rooster sauce but I get it for the tots because why not? The biscuit is always soft and the chicken is always fried perfectly. Their honey butter isn't overpowering either. I haven't had the lunch/dinner menu at this location yet but Roaming Rooster's menu is consistent at all their locations, so I'm sure they won't disappoint. The worst part about this location can be parking.

I highly recommend this chicken joint. The medium flavor of chicken nuggets and a sandwich is "KICKIN" hot and very tasty. I'm glad I had a bottle of water with me. We may have to get a lower level of flavor next time-but the medium hot is mighty good. The establishment is clean (floors and tables) and the inside bright. There were tables outside but it was too hot on the day we went to sit outside. We were looking for a good place to eat on our way to the Entertainment and Sports Arena(ESA) to watch the WNBA Mystics. This place is about 1.5 miles away. I found parking in the neighborhood about a block away. It was a Sunday so finding a parking space was easy. During rush hour and mid-week parking has to be very challenging as the place in near a major intersection. You could order ahead though. There were several orders waiting for pickup. Note: I just saw a photo posted by someone else saying 2 hours of free parking available. I didn't see this sign the day I was there. Ask, I suppose. This review is for 2710 Good Hope Rd SE.

The food here is quite good, with flavors that are enjoyable and satisfying, and we appreciated the efforts of some genuinely nice and friendly staff members. We even drove three hours to try this place, eager to experience the food and ambiance we had heard about. While the overall experience had its highlights, such as the quality of the food and the warm interactions with certain team members, giving food recommendations, Despite the long journey, the positive aspects made the visit worthwhile,

So flavorful. Can't really go wrong with anything in the menu. The Nashville hit is actually hot so be mindful if you aren't a spicy person. The medium is iré than enough for me. Oh and the lemonade is very flavorful.

Food is always consistent and good! I order from here majority through Postmates or Uber eats but the quality never changes and I love it! I did visit this location twice and the customer service was good and the inside is very clean.

The food is sooooooo......YUMMY!!! nom...nom...nom...nom.... The chicken sandwich is really everything, BUT I will try a different location. The sandwich is sooo good - mouthwatering here BUT it just does not come off as other pictures I have seen. They can do much better!!! But even at their worst - sandwich is still 8.5/10!!!! Try this chicken!!!! Popeyes has nothing on them. I tried both the Honey Butter sandwich and the OG sandwich (which has slaw on top). The slaw is more of a pickled slaw/onion combination. I definitely enjoyed both sandwiches and was full FULL. I added Honey Butter to the OG because I really like it. I opted to add the pickles on the side. The fries run about $5 bucks and are not needed. I have found them not to be as crispy as I would like - and although it is a full bag - it is just not needed (the sandwich is quite enough of a powerhouse).

This is a new location, and the service is horrible! The staff is racist and rude! having more diversity on their internal and lead team may be helpful. Also, having someone onsite on can communicate in English would be more effective. I arrived at this location on November 5th, just just before 3pm. I entered their lobby and waited about 15 minutes until some came to take my order. soon after having my order taken, I needed to rush out, and asked for a refund. The staff was confused and did not know how to handle this request. after offering my a cash refund on a credit card payment, they soon real that ooffering cash was incorrect. After, they offered me a recipt of a void transaction; instead of handing my a receipt showing a refund/credit. The store manager and crew were completely confused and unwilling to offer a prop refund. I highly recommend that corporate get involved to avoid a potential lawsuit.

I'm so glad these guys are in S.E., D.C. The food is delicious! The hand cut fries are crispy but not too crispy. I love the Honey Butter Biscuit w/ hot chicken breast. If I worked near by I'd probably frequent for lunch. A little Pricey but Quality. Recommendations; I would train some of the cashiers on etiquette & professionalism though. You don't wanna chase off guest because of rudeness or unwillingness to satisfy the customers.

Best chicken sandwiches hands down!!! I know this sounds sooooo fat, but the honey butter melting off that 3 pieces of chicken sandwich is sooooo good. The white dipping sauce is a plus. I've dipped both my sandwich and fries in the white sauce. If you're with a groups of people, only 1 person needs to order fries, they give you a bag of fries to be able to feed 4 people. Parking at this location is not very convenient. You have to park in the parking garage or across the street at the McDonald's. If you try to park in front of the location you will stop flowing traffic . Also posted in my review is the $5 ginger juice. It will not disappoint!!!! My friends always orders the milkshakes and swears by them, try one of you have a sweet tooth. Oh, and the staff is ALWAYS nice and helpful!!!! And this location is SUPER clean!!!

Nashville hot chicken in DC, I had to try it. Not quite as hot as in Nashville but I didn't mind not having to wake up the next morning and rehydrate from sweating the night before. They use a good system for online orders. The messages were accurate and when I walked in to pick up take out it was ready. The surroundings are nice, new building and all, free parking. The restaurant was kind of small and it was packed with people sitting down and eating or waiting for their order, all of them black. There was definitely the vibe of we can't have anything for ourselves being directed at me. They even asked my daughter, who is black, for her order even though she clearly walked in with me. So I put out the vibe "can't I have a nice dinner with my daughter," right back.

Roaming Rooster is a must-visit when in Washington, D.C. Starting out as a popular food truck, this Black-owned, immigrant-owned fast casual fried chicken spot now has six locations around the D.C. area and this one is the first East of the River. Here's what you should know: 1) Food: They have four fried chicken sandwiches made with free-range chicken. (That means the chicken had regular access to sunshine, the outdoors and vegetation.) Each sandwich comes with two large chicken breasts and the pick from four different spice levels (from mild to extra spicy). Their Honey Butter Sandwich is my go-to. They also have wings, tenders and salads. Fries and coleslaw are sides and they sell lemonade, iced tea, water and soda. At this location only, they sell milkshakes. The chocolate one is very creamy and worth the calories! 2) Service: The owners are very kind and they train their staff to be the same. 3) Parking: Located inside the Skyland Town Center, there's free two-hour parking in the garage. 4) Neighborhood: Skyland Town Center is on a hill overlooking the city skyline, which is breathtaking with a clear shot of the Washington Monument. Nearby is a drive-thru Starbucks, Safeway, Subway, Capital One Bank and other businesses.

Too expensive for the taste, but it's okay to try once. Service was pretty bad but it's in the city, wouldn't expect anything better. Inside was pretty trash too but again, in the city, and who sits down anymore, grab and go.

Restaurant was clean, food was great, and although I didn't get the name of the person who helped us they gave great service too. Even tried leaving a tip, although he couldn't take it, so that's how I know everything was even more genuine.

Me and my kids LOVE Roaming Rooster and was so happy that they opened a location closer to us. We frequent this spot a lot. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is my go to. I love Nashville Hot Chicken and they do it justice! My son enjoys the Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich and my daughter, enjoys the Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich. Last week, I stepped out of the box and ordered wings. And I ordered them hot and darn it if these things were not fire!! I'm talking bout hot. I did not enjoy them. They were too hot BUT if SPICY if your thing, you will enjoy them. Two days later, I ordered the wings in medium and they were the right amount of hot for me. My only gripe (insert eye roll) is that the wings are not fried hard! Don't nobody want no soggy wing. The coleslaw is always good.

Service was great very pleasant and professional. Followed up with order will be out in a few while waiting. Had the mushroom sandwich. Mild was HOT. Store was clean and tidy. Neighborhood is growing and they offered free parking.

Have loved this place since they were just a food truck and have watched them grow. I'm so glad they put one on this side of town. The food here is always fresh and one of the best chicken sandwiches in the DMV. The fries are food and milkshakes as well.

The chicken was made with love. The sandwich was crispy and tinder. I got a mild spice and it was just right for me who only likes a hint of spicy. And the sauce was that came with it went so well with the course. 10/10 recommend for those who want a really good chicken sandwich.

Great food, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Not sure if it's because this location is new but I had the worst customer service experience I've had in a long time this evening at this location. Ordered multiple sandwiches and sides of fries for my family for dinner online. A total of 6 items (4 sandwiches and 2 fries). Was handed a bag after AWHILE and walked out of the door but felt the bag seemed light with all of the food I was suppose to have. Looked in the bag and was missing a sandwich, fries, and the sauces I requested. Walked back in and told them the issue. The employee then went to the back to check that it was okay to make the items I was missing. Ten minutes later I finally received the missing sandwich and fries. When I ask for the requested "Rooster sauces" the employee simply told me "no" and walked away. The food is definitely amazing and I would give 5 stars if it was based on that alone. I will no longer be going to location to enjoy Roaming Rooster and I would highly suggest others drive to one of the many others to try them out!

First Roaming Rooster on the southside and I must say i was not disappointed with service or food. I ordered online, but when i picked up everything went smooth and fast. Food was delicious will return again

Roaming Roosters is definitely a great establishment. I'm so happy they placed one in ward 8. During my first visit the line was out the door. The staff remained professional and continued to take orders. I will admit some of the prices seem extremely high. However, the food is good good! The honey butter chicken sandwich is

10/10 recommend!!! First time coming here, the ambiance was nice and so was the cashier. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD. Although the wait is a bit long it's worth it. The fries are definitely a good deal-$3.99 for largeeeee fries. I love how their meat is halal and the difference flavors are intriguing.

Visited the roaming rooster in skyland tower center! I got the OG nashville and side of fries. I have been to the one in NE. It was a lot of food for your buck!

A surprisingly good chicken sandwich. Well kept and decent to eat at. If you are in the mood for a substantial upgrade from chik-fil-a sometime try this place out. I had a big lunch and liked it enough to take extra home.

Just placed a large catering order and a couple of smaller to-go orders, all needed within their first 30 minutes of opening. The staff was super helpful and managed to get everything out on time without a lot of notice. The lunch was a huge hit! Thank you!!

Where do I start?! First off amazing service energy was warm, and inviting. Special shout-out to Courtney! The music was actually something that was entertaining and up to date. This place is so delicious and the service is great. I love the buffalo chicken sandwich! The chicken is crispy and juicy and full of flavor. I'm so happy that this spot is in my neighborhood now. What a treat!

I order through the app and my food is always hot and waiting when I pick it up. The young ppl working there are always nice and that refreshing as the service nearby is not the same. Will definitely return.

They open at 11 and I am here on the dot at least 2x a week. The owner is nice and very respectful. The food mmmm mmmm let me tell you it is AMAZING. Always made fresh for you so you know it's nice and hot. IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED THE CUSTARD HERE YOU ARE MISSING OUT. It is made fresh daily. It is sooooo good it's better than Rita's custard. I had chocolate custard, fried, and a mild honey butter chicken sandwich. Everything is I RECOMMEND

Never been just had to say that at those prices there had better be valuable gems hidden inside each piece of chicken (dirtiest type of meat just saying).... Man Id like to know who's spend $9-10 on a (one!) fried chicken breast. I'll give you free cooing lessons if you're that desperate.
