Roaring Social Decatur - Review - Decatur - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Roaring Social is bringing its Prohibition-era party to Decatur, with boutique bowling, live music, a dance floor, and a secret speakeasy hidden behind a bank vault. They’re going big–the space is 7,500 square feet. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Jacinta Howard

This was an amazing experience! I had a great birthday 🎉 celebration with Roaring Social and the ambience of the historic banking treasury story behind this venue ~ everything was so nice well put together and very inviting! 10/10 definitely will be back!!! We had a blast doing karaoke 🎤 and bowling 🎳 ~ food was delicious and drinks 🍸 were great! The band was so fun and I really appreciate the staff and Ric for taking amazing care of us! This place is a great spot to hang out with friends, grab drinks, and eat. The service was okay, as it’s still a new establishment and they’re working out the kinks. There was an amazing band playing, but when they weren’t on stage, the speakers played music that was a bit too loud, making it difficult to have conversations with my friends. Despite this, I would definitely visit again. :)

I went to this spot for the first time this weekend and wow! 10 out of 10 recommend from the staff to the food to the fun it was amazing! I will definitely be planning my next event here. The staff was absolutely incredible! Very attentive and helpful with Whatever, especially Rick! Several times, Rick was there to answer all my questions and help me with whatever I needed! Rick is the guy to Go to if you need anything for sure!

My new favorite Thursday night Karoake spot. The band is great and so is every single person working here. They're all super warm and attentive. I always have a good time and the food is really tasty. I look forward to trying them out on a weekend.

I saw an instagram reel about the opening of the new Roaring Social Decatur location and wanted to check it out. I needed to reserve seating for 5 and there was nothing available on their website for the date we wanted but there was a button to “submit a request” which I did. I received an email response a few hours later confirming my reservation. What I loved most about the place is the old school decor leading up to the safe deposit boxes where you enter. Once inside, it was dimly lit with a bar to the left and tables/booths and a dance floor to the right. We were seated right up near the stage. We were greeted not too long after by our waitress and ordered drinks while the band set up. Pretty typical drink menu with a few house specials. It took a little longer than expected for our drinks to arrive but everyone seemed to enjoy them. We ordered apps once we received our drinks. Menu was also pretty typical but at least they had entrees available. Again, a little too long to get the food. It was lukewarm at best. Also it was hard to have a convo so close to the speakers so I wouldn’t recommend being seated that close to the stage if it can be helped. Besides that, the band that was playing kept us entertained the whole night and the dance floor would fill up on and off. There’s a bowling alley somewhere but we did not get to see it. Overall the experience was lovely. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the service could use some improvement as well as the food being served once it’s done. Other than that I do plan to go back. I loved the whole speakeasy experience, from the “secret entrance” to the decor and the atmosphere.

My husband and I went on opening night and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was fantastic, lively, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the space is beautiful with plenty of room for mingling. The bowling area added a unique and fun element to the evening. Even without a bowling reservation, we were able to play a round after dinner, which was a nice bonus. The drinks were excellent (The Beekeeper was my favorite), and the food hit the spot. We had the Parmesan truffle fries, Caesar salad, and garlic aioli smash burger, all were delicious. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of small reasons. First, our dinner overlapped with the transition from the piano player to the band (this started around 7pm), which meant we had to sit through a long sound check while eating. It took away from the otherwise fantastic vibe. Second, while everything we ordered was tasty, I would have loved to see a few more elevated entrée options beyond the lineup of burgers and sandwiches. Overall, though, it was a wonderful night out, and we’ll definitely be back!

The first time I visited, the gentleman was full in character for my group. Said the bank was close, how can I help you? It was so fun for the group and entertaining. Downstairs is great with live music. The cocktails are great.Rick was awesome and us so much information without breaking character. The second time, another person was checking IDs and less in character. The entrance was less fun and entertaining. Downstairs was still great with good cocktails and dance. Highly recommend.

Roaring Social Club in Decatur is a hidden gem! Our party of three was seated immediately on a busy Saturday night—no wait at all. The 1920s bank-themed speakeasy vibe is spot-on, with gorgeous decor and a lively atmosphere. Easton, our waiter, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made the night extra special. We loved the steak quesadillas, Philly steak with crispy fries, and the shrimp with lime crema sauce. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Drinks were well-crafted and priced as expected. Live music added energy to the night, even if it wasn’t quite our taste. Bonus points for the wide-screen TVs in the bar and the mini 3-lane bowling alley in the ante room. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
