Roaring Social Decatur - Review - Decatur - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Roaring Social is bringing its Prohibition-era party to Decatur, with boutique bowling, live music, a dance floor, and a secret speakeasy hidden behind a bank vault. They’re going big–the space is 7,500 square feet. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Jacinta Howard

Roaring Social was such a fun and lively experience, the perfect spot for after-dinner activities. Whether you’re looking to bowl, enjoy live music or DJs, or catch a game, there’s something happening that keeps the energy up. I visited on a Sunday, which I believe was one of their first Sundays open, and the reception was great. The staff was welcoming, and everything felt well-organized despite it being a newer night for them. Didn’t rate the food, because I didn’t ordered anything to eat, just went for the drinks. However, the food and portion size looked good base of nearby guests order. One of the most intriguing parts of Roaring Social is the setting itself. I’m not entirely sure of the building’s history, but it has a true hidden-in-plain-sight vibe. The entrance is styled like an old bank, complete with vintage teller signs, and the vault door serves as the actual entrance to the lounge, such a clever and memorable detail. Overall, I loved the experience. Roaring Social is perfect for groups of all sizes and offers a unique atmosphere that makes a night out feel a little more special. Definitely worth checking out.

My friends and I visited as a group—four couples total—and had an amazing time. The live band was great, the food was delicious, and the aesthetic was chic and beautiful. The overall vibe was cozy and inviting. Our server, Rick, was phenomenal—super attentive, fun, and made the experience even better. My fiancé and I can’t wait to bring our parents back. Such a wonderful spot for a night out!

This was an amazing experience! I had a great birthday 🎉 celebration with Roaring Social and the ambience of the historic banking treasury story behind this venue ~ everything was so nice well put together and very inviting! 10/10 definitely will be back!!! We had pleasantly surprising fabulous time. They don't have a full menu but the food is really good. Had crab cakes, smash burgers and Chicken Philly. Drinks were amazing and the bad brought the Good ole Vibes. We loved everything about it even the boutique bowling was fun.

Omg, honest review. I love everything about this place except the music. I’m really torn because the food is amazing, and Chef Q is thorough, he even came out to check on our food. I didn’t see steak on the menu, but I was reassured they could make it, and Chef Q personally came out to confirm it was cooked correctly. My bartender, Hakeem, is as cool as the other side of the pillow, and his drinks are truly top tier. But the “band” in the background? It’s blasting on level 10 and absolutely killing the vibe. I’ve been here the last four Wednesdays because of my schedule, and every time it’s the same. At this point, I’d almost rather hear a dying cat. I’m not sure if this happens on other days, but it’s incredibly conflicting to have such great service paired with… whatever that noise is. Great spot overall, but the music situation definitely needs help.

My friends and I had a great experience at Roaring Social! Ric was very nice and personable, and we loved the fun “password” concept to enter. Our server, Easton, was fantastic—very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great drink and food recommendations. The band was amazing, and the atmosphere was lively and unique. We’ll definitely be back and will be bringing more friends next time!

My wife and I are in the hospitality industry. We owned several nightclubs in Texas. The space is very impressive. Decatur needed a venue like this so this is really cool. I like the huge screen on the stage. Big bar with great staff. R1 complaint is the bar lighting is way too bright. It was so bright that to see the performer was difficult. I would strongly suggest turning those lights down. The lights that are on the right side of the room look kind of Deco they're very nice looking lamps I would suggest putting those on very low dim to highlight the space better. Well done!

This place is a great spot to hang out with friends, grab drinks, and eat. The service was okay, as it’s still a new establishment and they’re working out the kinks. There was an amazing band playing, but when they weren’t on stage, the speakers played music that was a bit too loud, making it difficult to have conversations with my friends. Despite this, I would definitely visit again. :)
