We stopped in here as it was right by our hotel. It was a quiet weekend morning, so it wasn't super busy. The staff was nice, but wow, everything was really overpriced. The food was not great. The yogurt parfait had a tiny portion of granola, which was mostly raisins. The avocado toast was fine, but overpriced for what you get. Overall, we'd have opted for something different but there weren't a lot of options since it was the weekend. There are a few tables outside, and the inside aesthetic is cute. And inclusive!

Really cool coffee shop! Only stopped in for a coffee so I can’t speak to the food. I love the uniqueness of being able to pick whatever type of beans you want (every cup is brewed to order), but it can also be a bit overwhelming. The space is super cool. I love all of the plants as well.

4--stars because: == ESPRESSO == $4.15 -- average pricing for DC. Cashless, unfortunately. Thank you to the manager on duty for taking the time to explain the reasons why the business is cashless. It's unfortunate the marginalization of several populations by this choice, but it was an eye-opening conversation to understand the growing options for the unbanked & international visitors/students & disabled, etc to use for cash transactions. Although there are several bean options, the light roast Mexico was not a light roast at all. Like another reviewer commented, it is more a full-bodied, darker medium. Not my jam, but would recommend to others who enjoy quality darker roasts. Espresso was well served, not burnt. == ATMOSPHERE == * Quiet on a weekday afternoon. * Lighting is more pleasant than bright, blue, hormone-disrupting light. * Music was weird 80s/90s rock music, not fitting for a coffee shop, but at least not loud. Grateful it's not like the coffeeshops that seem to be wannabe dance clubs w the blasting music. * Seating area is top-notch. Great spot for meetups, indoor & outdoor, and laptop sitting.

This place has really good coffee and a great selection. The almond croissant was the best I've ever had. I'm giving three stars for now, with a couple of things that could definitely be improved. First, the customer service: the person with long hair working the morning shift on April 19 didn’t seem very happy to be there. A gloomy expression and attitude aren't the most welcoming when you're grabbing your morning coffee. Second, cleanliness: since there's an access code for the bathroom, I expected it to be better maintained. The toilet and sink were quite dirty, and considering I came in around 8 a.m. on a Saturday, it didn’t feel like they had been recently cleaned. The mat at the main café entrance also looked quite neglected. I’d love to come back, especially for the pastries. hope these details can be addressed.

I really like this coffee shop! The place is comfortable. I also love that you can choose your favorite type of coffee beans for your drink – such a nice touch!

I like to travel a lot and try coffee and pastries everywhere I go, and we Saudis are known for our love of coffee, desserts, and pastries. Every time I go to cafe them, specially morning, my first choice of pastries is a butter croissant, as I don't like other flavors or for stuffed croissants, but I didn't find what I wanted, so the beautiful girl (sorry, I don't know her name) told me that they have only chocolate and almond croissants, and that both are good, so I chose almond croissant. I would like to say that despite these experiences I have, this croissant is the most delicious croissant I have ever tasted in my life. The filling was very delicious, I don't know what it was, but I I felt in love with it. I advise you to try it. I also ordered a cappuccino, and it was good as well. There is also a water tap to drink with cups for free, of course. This café is integrated. The atmosphere of the café was also calm, and the staff were wonderful. Thank you.

INSANE. I WISH THEY HAD MORE LOCATIONS. I get the roasted honey peanut latte. It's delicious. These staff are amazingly nice. If you are an LGBTQ+ individual, that's a plus. Don't pass this place up in DC. It's worth the stop. It's a neat set up to look like an oil field unit with coffee beans and uses physics to make coffee.
