Afterward, head over to feed the tarpon, where over 100 large fish will grab bait almost from one’s hand." - Alona Martinez

"If you’ve ever wanted to come face to face with a fish twice your size, pay $2.50 to hand feed the tarpon at Robbie’s of Islamorada. It’s one of those thrilling, only-in-Florida activities sure to liven up your scrapbook. If you just want to eat lunch at the restaurant here, that's fine, too — you'll get a heaping side of entertainment." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"It would be a shame to come to “the sport fishing capital of the world” and not make at least one finned friend. In Islamorada, Robbie’s Marina is the place where all that fishing action goes down. If you’re game to cast a rod and see what happens, the collection of docks is home to a variety of fishing boat tours and charters, including tarpon and shark fishing, offshore sportfishing, and party boat fishing. Boats are captained and guided by total pros who know these waters like no one else. If fishing isn’t your thing, there’s also snorkeling, parasailing, and eco-sunset tours." - Jennifer M. Wood

"If Islamorada is the sport fishing capital of the world, then Robbie’s Marina is the one-stop venue you need to experience all the area has to offer. Whatever your preferred mode of water-based transportation, it’s here for you to rent: kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis, and fishing boats. If you’d rather let someone else be the captain of your ship, fishing charters and partyboats depart all day (when the sun begins to drop toward the water, sunset cruises with Sundance Watersports offer an epic end to the day). But even land-dwellers will find ways to keep themselves occupied, whether that means shopping (there’s an open-air market onsite with artwork, nautical-inspired signs and the like) or grabbing a cocktail and a bite to eat at the Hungry Tarpon (the tuna tacos, shrimp burrito, cracked conch, and Thai-style mahi fish fingers are among their signature dishes). But the most popular thing to do—as long as you don’t mind a giant fish lunging up out of the water toward you—is to fork over $4 for a bucket of bait and help feed the hungry tarpon (yep, that’s where the name comes from) that surround the deck and are always ready for a snack." - Jennifer M. A must stop at if driving through the keys! Absolutely must feed the tarpon, a really fun experience. Beware of the pelicans, have some play defense with the birds while you feed the fish;) the cost was very reasonable, $2.50 to go on the docks and $5 for a bucket of 4-5 fish to feed the tarpon with. Bartender was great and made a specialty drink that was not on the menu. Bring a $1 bill to sign your name and staple to the walls or ceiling. A really fun experience!

We had lunch at Robbie’s on a Thursday. We got a table for 2 right away. Luckily we were under cover. There was a rain shower and a lot of the seating is outdoors with no cover. It did take a long time to get our food. Our waitress did warn us about the wait for food and she was very attentive in the meantime. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and it was good. The line to feed the Tarpon does get very long. It’s $2.50 a person and then you pay for a bucket of fish. Watch out for the pelicans. They are aggressive and will take the fish from you or from your bucket if you set it down. It’s a great experience. The Tarpon are huge and sometimes there is other creatures. Today we saw a manatee getting a fresh water drink.

Definitely a must do. we got here early in the morning and it wasn't busy, we drove past later in the day and it was packed so I would advise going early. Was 2.50 a person to walk out on deck by the tarpon. 4.50 for a bucket of bait fish to feed the tarpon with have between 5 to 8 bait fish in it. Great experience. Bunch of little trinket shops to browse threw to.

Amazing! This place is truly unique and fun. You can pay a small fee and buy a bucket of fish to feed some huge tarpon. There was also a nurse shark swimming around. So cool. The food was super delicious. I highly recommend their lobster bisque! Omg! 😋😋 If you are heading down to Key West, you have to make a stop here. Kids will love this place. There is also kayak and jet ski rentals. Plenty of restrooms on site as well. All the staff was so polite and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

Nice & relaxing with people milling around. Hubby & I sat on the side of the water for hours resting in the shade. A great breeze with beautiful weather. We had snow cones & virgin icy drinks. People were chartering fishing trips with guides and returning with buckets of nice fish that the guides cleaned & fed the birds & tarpons the scraps. It was fun to watch. Kept us entertained for quite some time.

We loved visiting here with our dog, we always try to find pet friendly activities. We went onto the tarpon dock for 2.50$ a person we came at 7a.m. to avoid the crowds. It was amazing how big the tarpon are. Our dog was very curious about them and I'm sure our dog looked like dinner to them! Such a fun time we hope we can make it back again someday.

We had read Robbie’s was voted the number one place to eat in the Keys. Now we know why! The food & drinks were delicious & the atmosphere fun & family oriented. We had the awesome sweet potato waffle fries, blackened chicken sandwich & a Reuben. I love Ruebens & this one the best I ever had! Of course when you are in the Keys a key lime pie is a must. Spare room for their awesome desserts & get a slice of Key lime pie. We are it so fast I was too late for a picture! Delicious, reasonably price & a fun place!

A great place to feed tarpon & take a kayak out to see the wildlife in the ocean! We took a kayak out and it was like looking into an aquarium close up. On our 2 hour kayak trip, we saw 3 shark, 1 stingray, so many sea urchins and star fish. Over all a 5 star rating! We were in town from Ohio & have recommended this place to everyone!

Connor D.

Yelp
Great food and service we had natelie she was great would definitely recommend the mahi mahi tacos!

Sabrina D.

Yelp
Natalia is a very friendly server, the restaurant has beautiful view and a lot of activities. I would recommend to everyone to visit at least once if you are in the area.

Nathan B.

Yelp
Awesome white trash bloody Mary's!! I had the glazed donut French toast and it was so good!!! Our server was Natalie and she was awesome. We come here every years during the Christmas holidays and this is a must stop place.

Deborah S.

Yelp
We couldn't believe how busy this place was and they sat us right away. Such a pretty view too. The staff were all very pleasant. I thought maybe they would rush people to leave to get tables moving however they didn't and were just really efficient. Everything we had was very tasty. My spouse enjoys seafood, but I don't as much so often the non-seafood food is mediocre. This was not. The burger was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much we didn't have time for pics and made plans to come back.

Mojdeh S.

Yelp
While this place is really like a small village, with food and shopping options, the reason we came was to feed the tarpon, ward off hungry pelicans, and be amazed by the appearance of a manatee. Each person going out to the dock, must pay $2.50 and each container of fish (5-8 in each) costs $5. Tip: hold the bucket up, overhead to avoid constant pestering by pelicans trying to get at the fish. Dangle the fish through the holes in the netting, just inches above the surface of the water, and the tarpon will jump to grab it! It's surprising, fun and a novel way to spend 10 minutes of your time on the way from Miami to through the Keys.

Jaimie D.

Yelp
Robbie's is a fun tourist spot. Lots of little shops. Coffee truck. Full bar. Restaurant. They have tons of water sport activities available. You can feed the tarpon. (Watch out for the pelicans!!) Get the trailer trashed Bloody Mary!

Kim L.

Yelp
We had heard about Robbies from our Tiki Tour driver, and decided to give it a try. It was a total hoot! We went for breakfast - which was quite good, and to feed the tarpon. Well, we didn't actually FEED the tarpon - Wayne paid 2.50 to go onto the dock and watch, after seeing the pelicans go after anyone who the tried to feed them, and/or they stole the food from people who were there to feed the tarpons. Breakfast was great - cheddar cheese scallion hash browns were the star of the show - everything else was basic, but cooked perfect. After breakfast we wandered the grounds - and wow - so much to see and absorb. A fun time, nobody got hurt from pelicans and we successfully avoided the "White Trash Bloody Mary" - maybe another time!

Joe F.

Yelp
Robbie's is a fun experience. Lots going on, music, feeding the Tarpons, food - you name it. We had a nice lunch. Food was good enough. I had a Philly Cheesesteak and my wife had the Spicy Shrimp wrap. Not so spicy, but ok otherwise. Natalie was our server, and she was great! Very attentive! Place was kinda pricey, but what isn't here in the Keys. Overall good experience so give it a try and ask for Natalie!

Jazmin R.

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice water front lunch at Robbie's recently. We tried the burger-it was very good , shrimp platter- would not order again, ahi tuna- would not order again, and perhaps the best lobster bisque i've ever had... the lobster bisque was creamy, with chunks of lobster and was smoky/a little spicy. It hit the spot considering it was a chilly day. Not so confident on all other menu items, but I would most definitely drive 1 hr a d 40 minutes for that soup again! Robbies is not just lunch, theres plenty to see in the area, you can rent boats, feed tarpons, see manatees & we got to see a Goliat snapper, it was huge- def over 150 lbs! Theres also shopping, coffee, and dessert spots in the area. Really nice spot to spend an afternoon, have a drink & enjoy the sunset.

Barby S.

Yelp
Robbie's is definitely a staple in the community. It has a very large area with restaurant, bar, marina. and shops. The drinks are great! This time around I had the Key Lime Martini, which I mean you're in the Keys! Key lime is the way to go! We ordered quite a few things, fish dip, coconut shrimp, blackened tuna sandwich, maki fingers. They were all delicious! I love the food and ambiance here. Lunch a with ocean view and the kids really love feeding the fish as well! It is a great place to stop by and check out for lunch or drinks ñ!

Debi R.

Yelp
A Keys experience you can only get here! It's like a Walmart of fun experiences. Rentals, Charters, restaurant, bar, souvenirs and feeding tarpon while fighting off the pelicans. What a fun stop! Don't miss it!

Michelle H.

Yelp
Robbie's is an amazing spot that has it all! The waterfront location is stunning and creates the perfect vibe for a fun and relaxing day. Feeding the tarpons was such a unique and exciting experience--definitely a must-try! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was so friendly and attentive, making the meal even better. Afterward, we explored the shops and found some great treasures to take home. Robbie's is the perfect mix of adventure, great food, and fun--highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

Dalton L.

Yelp
Natalie was a great server. Get the trailer trash Bloody Mary. It's very good. The tarpon were cool as well.

Wesley G.

Yelp
I was advised that they do the nets to prevet pelicans from eating the fish that you are trying to feed the tarpon with.

Kylie P.

Yelp
Great way to spend an hour or two when passing through the Keys! It was VERY busy when I was here, but fortunately there are several activities to keep the crowds fairly scattered. We opted to pay the $2.50 entrance fee (per person) to feed the tarpons, plus $5 for a bucket of fish. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this activity, but ended up enjoying watching the huge tarpons jump from the water and pelicans sneaking around looking for unattended fish buckets! Even saw some small sharks and I heard they get the occasional manatee visitor. Unfortunately we didn't see one during our time, though. We also treated ourselves to shaved ice and perused through the many unique souvenir shops. Overall it was a nice, family friendly stop on our trip down to Key West. A bit touristy but it's clearly popular for a reason.

David Y.

Yelp
A unique attraction that's worth a visit, Robbie's has a bunch of huge fish called tarpon, which you can just watch or feed. It's a cool way to spend an hour or so to break up a long Florida road trip. It costs $2.50 to go out on the pier and see the tarpon. Additionally, for $4.50, you can buy a bucket of food and feed them. It's more thrilling than it sounds! The tarpon are really quick to grab any morsel that comes their way. And the pelicans! They'll snatch any bite that isn't presented directly to the tarpon. They are well-practiced, gigantic in size and not the least bit afraid of humans. It's quite the experience!

Rachel L.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Definitely a little pricey so be careful but worth the visit

Terra W.

Yelp
Came for the experience and loved the food! Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich and blackened Mahi Mahi Rueben hit the spot!

Holly K.

Yelp
Typical bar food, nothing special. I tried one of the local beers and the chicken quesadillas- weren't anything special. Very crowded place, it gets pretty hot if you're in the sun. The best part about this place used to be feeding the tarpon. You used to be able to just hang off the dock and feed the MASSIVE tarpon (you purchase fish at the entrance of the pier). NOW, they have installed nets (because of the pesky pelicans), and you have to stick your hand through a net to feed them. Just a different (not as cool, and definitely not as picturesque) experience. Huge crowds standing around (some feeding and some observing), seems to be no limit to how many people are on the dock. The pelicans are still aggressive, and WILL still steal your fish (they're fast and sneak up when you don't notice it). While eating lunch, we saw 3 seperate groups feed them, despite 100 signs not to- so it's not surprising they're still thinking they're there to eat.

Jose B.

Yelp
Super fast and friendly service. Eat right on the water, can't beat that. It has a island, village vibe. Very laid back. You can also feed the tarpons but be careful....you may het attacked by the seagulls Good food. Definitely coming back when im in the area

Roberta H.

Yelp
Robbie's really is an experience! You can shop for fun souvenirs. You can feed fish, see manatees, go on boat tours or deep sea fishing you can eat good food and be with the locals! Overall we absolutely love visiting Robbie's. Feeding the tarpon is sooo fun!! It's $2.50 per person to enter and $5.00 for a bucket of fish. You have to watch out for the pelicans, and don't feed the manatees but if you put the fish low enough into the water the tarpon will jump out and grab it directly from your hand. (It's not for the faint of heart!) lol eating at Robbie's is an experience in itself, if you take a charter they will Cook up Your fish for you and it is AMAZING! While seated take a look up as you may see some iguanas in the trees above. It's free to park and there's ice cream/ shaved ice available at a local food truck. If you bring a dollar bill you can sign it and they will display it on a space throughout Robbie's.

Christina V.

Yelp
This is a must. I LOVE the decor and vibe. Really cool place photos do not serve it justice. I thought feeding fish would be boring but it was fun! The battle with the birds stealing the fish , and baby sharks and the other fish. The drinks left a lot to be desired. My margarita was not good. Neither was my partners gin and tonic. The food was good though.

Lisa H.

Yelp
I've been to the Keys many times and can't believe I've never been to Robbie's. Someone mentioned this as a point of interest, and they were not lying. I'm so glad we stopped to see what it was about. It's hard to explain some of the places in the Keys. This is a marina with so much more going on. There is a restaurant which was very busy as well as a couple of bars. There are all kinds of decorations: pirates, motorcycles and dollar bills, again hard to explain. There are artists and photographers along with souvenir stands, crafts and an antique store. There is a quiet sitting area with a bbq and fire pits. But the most excitement was the fish feeding. For $2.50 a person you can go out onto the dock and observe or feed tarpon. A bucket with a few fish cost $5. There was also a hungry nurse shark and way too many hungry pelicans that you are not supposed to feed, and can be very aggressive as we found out. One took a fish right out of our hand when we weren't looking! The tarpon feeding was a bit intense. There was a huge crowd on the dock. Still we were glad we got to see this for ourselves. Parking was tough but we did get a spot. This is definitely a place to stop and see for yourself

Janet H.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast-Steak/Eggs and Ham Benedict. Natalie provided amazing service-friendly and witty.

Ellery S.

Yelp
Bloody Mary was delish, 10/10 would recommend. And our waitress Natalie was phenomenal!!!!!!!!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
You have to visit Robbie's!! Watch out for the pelicans. Make sure to take off your sun glasses before you feed the tarpon!!

Craig W.

Yelp
I got bit by a pelican and lived to tell the tale. Robbie's is a weird but plenty fun tourist trap that you just have to experience. Parking is free but it might be a little tough to find a spot at times. The primary attraction here is feeding sardines to tarpons which, if you don't know, are enormously long fish with mouths that open like giant raptors. The tarpons won't bite you but I can tell you first-hand that the pelicans will, if they can. You pay for the sardines to feed the tarpons and you also pay, per person, for the privilege of walking out onto the short dock where the feeding takes place. Just bite the bullet and pay the fees. To their credit, above the water, Robbie's has installed netting with holes in it so you can place your hand to feed the tarpons hopefully without interference from the pelicans. The pelicans--which are, by nature, mean birds--aren't entirely stupid and they swarm the dock trying to snag the fish you purchased before you feed the tarpons. Hold onto your fish well because the pelicans are very aggressive. I covered my sardine with my hand and dropped my hand below the netting. However, at the same time the tarpon grabbed my fish, a nasty pelican tried to take a bite out of my forearm. In fact, his whole nasty beak closed down on my forearm. Fortunately, it didn't hurt whatsoever and the crazy bird only left some scratches. My biggest complaint was that the dumb bird's beak was nowhere near the fish I gave to the tarpon. He never came close to grabbing the yummy sardine. Robbie's also has souvenirs galore, a restaurant, a bar (which made me a very strong pina colada, believe it or not), and opportunities to take you fishing or engage in other water activities. I guess scratches from a pelican bite can be considered a souvenir, right?

Aubrey H.

Yelp
What an amazing experience at Robbie's! Natalie was such great server, attentive and fun. Come feed the fish and have. Great drink.

Gabriella G.

Yelp
We came for the tarpon!! And had some wicked piña coladas at the bar: goodie good! This time we did not have food. This was a rest-stop on the way to Key West, and what fun we had! Turns out you can buy a $5 bucket of fish and feed these huge tarpon! What an experience! The pelicans are fun too but they will Snatch the fish from your hand (and could hurt you) so Robbie's has an employee with a mop scaring them away (lol). Then we walked to the bar cause their beachside bar was closed, and purchased some of the best frozen Pina coladas we have had, and I got an island girl that was sweet and punchy- good stuff, as we sat by a little beachside area watching the pelicans and the boats dock and fight over fish. Relaxing, entertaining and tasty ! Enjoy! PS they have clean restrooms for all as well!

V B.

Yelp
Great breakfast as usual and our server Natalie was outstanding! Pancake tacos were out of this world'

Sarah C.

Yelp
Robbie's was great food, great service, and a highly recommended place to visit when traveling through the keys. Robbie's has water activities and tarpon feeding. It's a great place to get information for day trips and activities and a great place for souvenirs as there are shops connected to the restaurant and bar areas Well worth the stop!

Helen W.

Yelp
Beautiful Sunday brunch at Robbie's. Food was delicious, weather was perfect, & service was great. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict & my son had the kids Pancake w bacon. The pancake was delicious!!! Our server Ricky was sweet and attentive. We had fun feeding the Tarpon too. We'll be back again.

Jesika K.

Yelp
Overall we enjoyed our time in this little compound. Feeding the tarpon was super fun even with having to deal with some greedy pelicans. The price for this was really reasonable, definitely worth doing. The food at hungry tarpon was good nut not great. We really liked the coconut shrimp, wings and the stone crab claw. Fried conch was a little overdone and the Bloody Mary was lacking essential flavors, felt very watered down from the beginning but all the toppings were fun. They are quick to take your order and the food comes out quickly too. We would for sure come back again.

Yvonne C.

Yelp
Looking for something to do or something to eat? This is the place. As you walk in there are some stalls where you can buy some touristy things. The main attraction is the tarpon feeding- it's $2.50 per person and $5 for a bucket of fish to feed the tarpons. Be careful though, there are a bunch of pelicans on the dock just waiting to snap up those fish! The food at the restaurant is good, lots of fried, blackened, and broiled seafood, I had the grouper sandwich and it was quite tasty.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Natile was and still is tge best server. She was excellent and attentive to our order. We love Robbies and will ask for Natile

Eric Z.

Yelp
Pretty cool experience of hand feeding the tarpons. They are huge and pack a punch when they strike. Watch out for the snappy seaguls and pelicans though, they cut when they bite. Dock staff could have been more friendly to the little girl who got bit/cut but the hostess cleaned her wound quickly. Shops around the area are cool. I'd suggest stopping here for sure on a trip to Key West.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Visited Robbie's on a weekend afternoon with family and friends. We didn't have to wait to be seated for our party of 6. The drinks came out quickly and the waitress promptly put in our order. I ordered the blackened mahi tacos. They were delicious and fresh. It was a good serving of fish and the sauce was tasty. My little one ordered the kids' cheeseburger & fries and she enjoyed it as well! It was a fun time and we also went to feed the tarpon afterwards!

Kevin S.

Yelp
WOW! Our large extended family has been out multiple times over the past several years with crews of Captain Michael's and have never had a bad day. Captain Romero has always been great! On this most recent trip, Gina called us to re schedule our trip with bad weather / poor fishing conditions on our planned date. On our rescheduled date this past Sunday we had one of our best days. After a few bad weather days, Captain Thomas and First Mate Rusty got us out on to the reef and we were right on a favorite spot that had too many fish to count. We got keepers of yellow tail, yellow jack, and various other snapper. After that we rigged for deeper fish, and had several hits and landed some keeper trigger fish and a large barracuda. Overall, from scheduling for the most fun, to the crew helping our grand kids have the time of their lives we had a super special trip! I could not recommend them highly enough. THANK YOU !

Hugo O.

Yelp
What a fun experience at Robbie's a very quirky place with interesting sales stalls and a great Bar full of memorabilia. The highlight was purchasing a bucket of fish to feed the Tarpon . Do not miss this place ! Highly recommended. This is my getaway go to ride when I need a quick day to get away from the city. Great place for lunch with friends, family, and hangout

Maddy B.

Yelp
We love robbies food!!! It's a must if you go to the keys. The mahi fish fingers I could just eat a whole bucket. This burger was amazingggg but we do wish it was spicier! It was a hot day and the servers were killing it. Absolutely beautiful view. The only downside is the crazy parking lot and that you cant launch ur own SUPs or kayaks/canoes. They only have one sign saying its prohibited at the front and nothing else so be aware. They were NOT NICE when we tried to enter the water with our device. We wouldnt have tried if we knew. They should have more signage and also tell security to not block the sign at the entrance I understand for non-customers but we had just eaten there, oh well rules are rules. Oh also try the key lime pie ans feed the tarpon if you never have! They have great snorkel charters too.

MaryAnn B.

Yelp
Huts full of open air shops and bars . Can book almost any sea island experience here. Convenient to Marathon Key. Booked a glass-bottomed boat experience and it didn't disappoint. Amazing views of coral reefs, fish and beautiful waters. Good tour guide. Weather cut us about 15 minutes short but still had the whole tour. Well worth the price. Kids under 5 free. Buy a bucket of fish and feed the tarpons!

Eli A.

Yelp
The food is really good. We went for breakfast though so I don't know about lunch or dinner. I had the pancake tacos, and they were amazing.

Ethan K.

Yelp
Great food, views and amazing service by Natalie! This was the exact breakfast I was craving.

Samuel E.

Yelp
Truly a great place to visit. They have chartered fishing boats, cool shops, kayak rental, and also have an area to feed the live tarpon. Everybody is friendly and pleasant that works there and allows you to get a true experience of what islamorada has to offer. 10/10

Nathan D.

Yelp
Good food great vibe. I kept hearing about this place from friends the entire time we were in the keys so we planned to check it out. service was great and the food was decent. There was plenty of seating and the the views were awesome. Another cool feature is that you can also get a bucket of fish for $5 and hand feed the tarpon in the marina behind the restaurant, For food we got the korean sliders, grilled salmon, chicken sandwich. everyone liked their meals!

Casey G.

Yelp
We had a great breakfast today. Everything was large and delicious! The cheddar scallion hash browns were awesome. Everyone loved their meals. French toast donuts, pancakes and fried egg/bacon sandwich. We had a great seat by the water to watch the tarpon. The boys loved feeding the Tarpon, although one did get a cut on his finger from one.... they had a blast!

Naihely G.

Yelp
Robbie's was a great pitstop on the way to the Keys! There is an activity for everyone of all ages, from feeding the tarpons to getting a drink at the bar. As our destination was Key West, we didn't stay long enough to fully enjoy all the available activities. However, we did take the opportunity to feed the tarpons, which cost us an entrance fee of $2.50 each, along with an additional $5 for a bucket of fish. The most entertaining part of the experience was the devious pelicans. At every opportunity, they stepped in to snatch fishes from the buckets or hands of unsuspecting visitors Despite the brief stop, this unique experience gave us a glimpse of the marine life and a great spot for pictures!

Jocelyn D.

Yelp
Love Robbie's. Have only kayaked and fed the tarpons. Have not dined or the other sports. Great location to kayak The people that work there are always friendly and helpful

Stephen L.

Yelp
A very pleasant and cool place, starting point for sea trips or just the drive down to Key West. You can admire pelicans up close, have a drink or eat there. Feeding the tarpons is also an experience.
