60 years in business and still in the same family. Love it! Friendly service, good flavors, and competitive prices. I love snowballs and enjoyed my visit here today.

Ever since I was a kid they never missed. The prices are great and the quality is even better. The service is always very friendly and fast. This is a great spot for cheap treats.

They have the most flavorful flavors ever! Not stingy with the syrup or the toppings! The soft serve is amazing as well. I love Ro-Bear’s they’re the best!

Robears was amazing! Great place to get snowballs! While they do sell ice cream we only had snowballs. I had a mix of passion fruit and orchid vanilla. My wife had cherry and lemonade. At this point, I have to make a confession. As a local, we are a bit obsessed with snowballs. We tend to get them at least one per week and make an effort to try various locations throughout the city. With that said, Robears have my FAV orchard vanilla in the city. Cherry, lemonade, and passion fruit are all good as well and on par with other locations. The orchard vanilla is amazing! Highly recommend! The cost is also great! For two large snowballs, one with a cream flavor, it was $5.75. That is hard to top.

Excellent "Stuffed Sno-Ball" as someone had recommended at the local KOA to try. Customer service was super friendly and top notch. The gentleman explained the machine and process to my 10 y.o son and I being "out of towners". Ice machines are made by a local company and recommended we stop by and see their displays while visiting.

Robears is a great snowball place to get malts, milkshakes, sundaes, soft-serve ice cream, and of course, snowballs. The snowballs are really tasty, and a great treat to eat and drink to cool down during the hot summer. They have quite a great variety of different flavors, and their service is always friendly. :) (Apologies on behalf of my poorly-taken photo of my snowball.)

So many flavors! Made me happy to get a snowball. Easy parking appreciated. Was my first time and I will be back when I am next in Harahan.

The ice is always perfect!!! The flavors are so delicious. Chocolate with condensed milk, blue hawaiian with condensed milk and rainbow were our choices tonight but we have tried so many in the past few years! Definitely a great place with nice workers to get a snowball or soft serve. No seating but overall friendly ambiance!

Whats really sad is that the legacy this snowball stand has is now gone. The chocolate which stood out above any other stand is now gone. The chocolate has been altered. The flavor is not rich and creamy as it once .was. I ordered a chocolate snowball with evaporated milk. When she poured the milk on, i could see it too had been altered. Both watered down. Big change for the main staple. Why change the iconic taste to make ends meet. Raise the price on the flavor .35 and sizes .25 on the sizes. You are destroying what was your gold mine. Wont be back to the grapevine says it been corrected.

This is my family's go to snowball place. The ice is always super smooth, all the flavors are delicious, and it has the best chocolate snowball syrup.

I LOVE this place! So much that I will drive 15 out my way to go get my favorite treat here. It's a neighborhood establishment, with a neighbory feel at a very reasonable price. I absolutely love that I can put strawberries and other fruit in my Oreo Crunch (that's not on the menu, but they make it happen and I can't get enough of it!) My fiance also loves the chocolate shake, which is on the menu. Definitely consider giving this place a try!

Desperately needed a Snowball. I mean it's 93° and feels like 104°. This was almost an emergency if it wasn't for the strawberry, watermelon that saved my life. Oh and who gets their life saved for $2

Recently, a friend told me about Ro-bear's snowballs and that I absolutely had to try them. Not venturing too often to the City of Harahan, I told her I'd "get around to it". So while shopping at Babies R Us in Metairie one day, we decided to shoot down David Drive and head to Ro-Bear's. What a tremendous surprise it turned out to be. As we sat in our car and pondered the flavors on the posted menu, we noticed 4 or 5 cars pulling in behind us. I immediately knew we were on to something special, so we hurried out the car and got in line before the masses arrived. Every good snowball worth mentioning begins with the ice. If it's too coarse, I'm probably not going to like it, no matter how good the syrup is. But Ro-Bear's has got the best ice I've had in 2013, maybe the best ever, and that's a pretty bold statement. It is the most velvety smooth, melt in your mouth ice that you can fathom. Try to imagine a combination of fresh snow, powdered sugar and pixie dust. Yeah, it's that smooth! I opted for the creole cream cheese, as I guess I'm just a "cheesy" guy. There was the obligatory ice cream flavored sweetness that I expected, with just a small hint of tangy cream cheese yummy aftertaste. However, my wife hit the jackpot by ordering the orchid cream vanilla, and I'm glad I took a taste. Aesthetically, the pale lavender hue already had me hooked. The taste......divine. Words are failing me as I try to describe this perfect treat, as no adjectives seem worthy. It was the creamiest yet lightest vanilla with a subtle, almost imperceptible berry taste. Just drop what you're doing and go get one. Seriously, go get one right now. It's that good. The lines moved quickly and the employees were superfriendly. In fact, even the customers in line were friendly, and actively engaged me in converation when they overheard that this was my 1st visit to Ro-Bear's. They were absolutely right when they stated that I was in for a treat. A second visit and updated review is defnitely pending as I would like to try a nectar flavor, and perhaps stuff it with their allgedly delicious soft serve ice cream. I can hardly wait!

Honestly, i tried a few different flavors and they were all sooo good. The ice was good, the soft serve was great. The overall snowball was 10/10. Even the experience was amazing. The lady at the window talked to us and suggested things and was just so sweet and personable. I'm definitely going back. Best snowballs in the area!!!!!

One of the best places to get a snowball if not the best. The staff is always friendly and the service much better than Plum street. Not the mention the snowballs are so much better! But, most importantly they NEVER skimp on the syrup. Tons of flavors, stuffed snowballs, shakes, malts, and soft serve, oh and plenty of diet flavor choices also. I think they also have stuffed artichokes and tamales. My personal absolute fave, is coconut with condensed milk! I've been enjoying these deliciously snowballs for over 25 years now and they've only gotten better. I'm such a fan of this place I bought a t-shirt, which I proudly sport. Worth a trip to Harahan, or if you're in the hood worth stopping by. I think April - Halloween(def). One last thing, Very affordable treat as opposed to any of the ice cream parlors.

The line is scary - you must brave out the heat and the bugs nipping at your legs, b/c the tasty treat that awaits you is ( in a high-pitched voice) AY- MAYZINGGGGG! This is my first time ever experiencing this type of dessert and I must say - it was worth every bite - my God! I couldn't even leave the parking lot - my cravings took over - I was stuck devouring the stuffed snowball I ordered. The prices are low and the customer service is great! I do recommend that as you stand in line check out the menu on the wall to your left. It is a huge menu so you will be able to see it. There are only 2 windows that are open, but you get your order on the spot- there are no numbers being called here. Also they only serve VANILLA AND CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM with their desserts. The chocolate will cost you a little more than vanilla but not by much. *This is NOT an ice cream and burger joint*.... only Sno-Balls and the ice cream I listed above. # I ordered the STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE SNOB-ALL STUFFED WITH VANILLA ICE CREAM, TOPPED WITH CONDENSED MILK. # I WILL BE BACK

They have the best soft serve ice cream! When I compared it to 2 other local snoball stands(caseys on w esplanade and another random one) I realized the difference! My fav is strawberry cheesecake flavor stuffed with condensed milk on top. My family gets choc soft serve with oreo mixed in and magic shell on top--can you tell they are choc lovers? Big pieces of oreo are mixed in too. They are generous with the syrup for the snoballs. We tried the hot tamales that were advertised and they were good too( you take them home and heat them yourself) Im curious about their stuffed artichoke next. I just wish they had places to sit outside

Best stuffed snowballs in town! Chocolate with condensed milk is a family favorite. If you know anything about snowballs, you KNOW it's all about the ICE...and Robear's has the smoothest!

My friend and I came here spontaneously one day in the summer looking for some soft serve ice cream; I couldn't be happier we found this place! Friendly staff, amazing soft serve and great prices. I get the twisted soft serve (with chocolate and vanilla ice cream) oreo crunch; I love that they incorporate the oreo's throughout the ice cream rather than just sprinkling some on top. Amazingly creamy ice cream and some of the best in the New Orleans area!

The snowballs are fantastic!!! But you know what makes this snowball stand one of the best? The excellent service! I decided to try a new flavor because I always go for Nectar. So this time I tried Orchid vanilla cream ... it was so good !!! If you love snowballs like I do give this place a try!

Great stuffed snowballs at great prices. The line always looks intimidating but it usually goes by pretty quickly. The small is a good size and the snowballs are perfectly juicy. I highly recommend the coconut stuffed snowball, though I've tried many of the flavors and have never been disappointed. My only complaint is that there isn't anywhere to sit and enjoy your snowball, but that isn't a problem if you are from the area.

Tiger's blood. Stuffed with vanilla ice cream. Fantastic. Sometimes I drive from the Westbank to Ro-Bear's to fulfill this craving. It's heaven. BUT... if you haven't been here before, DON'T GO - it will RUIN all other snowball stands! Forever!

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The prices are extremely reasonable. The snowballs are everything a snowBALL should be! Light snowy type ice. Delicious flavors. The ice cream is also delicious!! Service was VERY fast and consistent! I highly highly recommend Ro-Bears!!

I think Ro-Bear's, for me, is comparable to Plum Street (my favorite snoball stand before trying Ro-Bear's). They are probably both and equal distance from my home over on the Westbank, but Ro-Bear's has a slight advantage being in the suburbs and not requiring me to drive through as much crazy traffic, plus I work on the Eastbank so it's sometimes close by. The customer service is WAY better at Ro-Bear's. You don't get that incredibly rushed feeling like you do at Plum Street. In fact, the one older lady was super nice and joked about how the snoball would keep my kid up all night on a sugar high. She was correct. It was worthwhile though... their Orchid Vanilla Cream is amazing. I can't wait to try some other flavors, like the Nectar Cream that other Yelpers have mentioned in their reviews. If the heat index remains in the 100s for much longer, I may start making this a daily stop on my way back home. It's kind of refreshing to enjoy a snoball while stuck in non-moving traffic on the Huey P Long bridge.

This may be the best place to get a snowball in Jefferson Parish! I don't think there is a single snowball flavor you could crave and not find on their plywood listing. Sizes vary and the menu offers more than snowballs: ice cream (with or without a snowball); hot tamales; nachos; stuffed artichokes; etc. This is a snack shack that offers something salty if you're not in the mood for a cold, tasty New Orleans' favorite. You never know, you might want to make a meal of your visit, right? I'm amazed by the amount of people that stop in, as there is no where to eat, however, there is always a line and the parking lot is jam-packed with cars and people every day of the week. Despite the constant crowds, the employees quickly take orders with a smile. On this particular visit, I tried the sugar-free nectar (nectar is the greatest flavor ever) and it was really good, so you might want to give it a try if you have dietary restrictions or need to make the sugary delight a little healthier. Ro-Bear's will not disappoint, so don't waste your time stopping at another snowball stand. Trust me.

One of my favorite snowball stands and one of the best around in my opinion. Their ice is velvety smooth and their flavors really pop! You have not had a chocolate snowball until you have had it at Ro-bear's. Even people who normally aren't chocolate fans are impressed with the dark color and rich flavor. It's the real deal! Still not a chocolate fan? That's ok because they have more flavors than you can shake a stick at.

Busy joint w/ friendly folks running it! Small is a decent size already and runs a buck! Cheap! Whole boatload of flavors and probably 3 are sugar free. They do serve yummy looking soft served icecream, but that you can get anywhere! Snowballs are distinctly New Orleans! Brought my three cousins all under 10 yrs and the lady was super sweet to them. We were patient and she was a bit slow, but she made the effort seemed worth it. Parking is scary though -- so much traffic and ppl literally parking in the turning driveway BLOCKING entrance/exits! I guess it's so freakin hot that only a snowball can cure.

We were so happy when ro bears reopened this summer after being closed for a year. Their snoballs are the best in town. The grandkids love to go. See you next year

Best sno-balls around! I get the creole cream cheese stuffed with chocolate soft serve... my boyfriend typically gets the chocolate.. it is the thickest, richest chocolate I've ever tried. It's the best and please DON'T FORGET TO TIP!

The best cream flavors in the GNO. Chocolate is amazing. Cheap, reliably good, and they have malts and soft serve, etc. This is my favorite snowball place. It's been my favorite since I was a kid. Just as good now as it was then.

The staff is so friendly. This place is a well known staple of Harahan. So many flavors and options! Make sure to bring cash! They're open late, so drop by day or early night.

Ro-Bear's has been one my favorite's for years - I grew up in Harahan and lived there most of my adult life. It's still fairly close, so I visit often. The prices are great and my favorite flavor's always available - wedding cake with cream and condensed milk! Only one suggestion: fill the cup halfway with ice and put some of the preferred flavor before filling it completely. Then, top it off with the rest of the flavor! That way, no stirring necessary and no chance of spilling part of it - which I've done many times!! The service is always great and the people are always friendly!

I have been going here since I was little girl. I truly believe that they started the stuffed s no ball. When I was about 11 dang that was A long time ago) anyway I use to order a large rainbow stuffed with mix ice cream and condensed milk. I have taken my kids there and I hope that one day they can take theres. I don't live in Harahan any longer but when I want an amazing s no ball guess where I am taking a ride to.

Really love this place! So friendly and the prices are great! They have a wonderful selection of flavors and they are all delicious. My personal favorite is a half pink lemonade, half raspberry snowball.

Inevitably, if you ask any New Orleanian which is his favorite snowball stand, the answer is going to be the one closest to his house. As this is the closest to ma hood, its without a doubt the winner. They make sure the give me enough syrup on my nectar snowball to put an elephant into a diabetic coma. mmmm.

Ro-Bear's is probably one of my favorite places to get snow balls. I have been going here for years and my dad used to go there before he started taking me. Their chocolate is the best I've had, rich and yummy. They also have delicious ice cream and shakes (my brother always got the banana shake) and their sundaes are to die for. The staff is always friendly and have lived in the area for years so they know most of the neighbors and their kids and grandkids.
