Yelp
Known for their Pinots and Marie Sinskeys food pairings their base Pinot Noir and the Three Amigos Pinot ( from their southern vineyards in the Valley). A winery based on their biological vineyard farming system the vineyard also sells knitting materials from their animals on their properties. Went back on a weekend. They still serve meals but on a scheduled basis. Good to call ahead and make a meal tasting reservation. You can still go for a regular wine tasting. Robert and Marie are actively revitalizing their winery post Covid and making sure their wines are available in your favorite restaurants and wine stores Now of course if you are visiting Napa along the Silverado trail and want some great Pinots or are entertaining guests, this is a great place to get educated, buy a couple bottles you might not find ln your local store or restaurant. While many staff have moved on the winemakers are around to answer your questions and make you feel right at home during tastings. Highly recommend you join their glutton club

Yelp
Our group had a wonderful visit at RSV. The winery is beautiful with flower and vegetables gardens right outside their main house. There is also a koi pond and some benches. We arrived a little early for our tasting reservation, so we enjoyed visiting the grounds and snapping pictures. We got the Root to Glass tasting and it was well worth it. We got to try so many wines and even some that weren't on their tasting list. The food (snacks) is all made in-house from their own gardens. We had a great time chatting and tasting, and we never felt rushed. They have some great discounts if you purchase 12 or more bottles, so of course we did. It was a great time and the staff was awesome!

Yelp
True to my previous review (almost 10 years ago) we made it back here for the Root to table tasting. The experience was the best out of the 8 or so wineries we visited on our trip to Sonoma/Napa. You get a private table (my assumption was we'd be seated family style with other groups). Each wine was better than the next, and you get to sample a fair amount of both reds and white, and at the end of the tasting they ask if there is anything else you'd like to try. The food was just as good as the wine. We used this as our lunch for the day, and it was the perfect amount of food. The grazing board they bring you had so many unique and delicious bites that paired amazingly with the wine being served. Was such a nice relaxing and different wine tasting experience. Service for the entire food and wine tasting was great. Each wine was explained to us, all of our questions were answered and we didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely recommend the root to table tasting.

Yelp
They were able to take us in as a walk in so that's a plus and rare in Napa. Was recommended here by another winery. Was not in love with the wine and the gravel was difficult to walk on (may have changed from a year ago). I would say visit at least once, staff was pretty nice in my visit. Wine - 3/5 Presentation - 4/5

Yelp
this trip to napa. also visited twice. day 1 we did the RSV eat drink food pairing (3 courses) at $125. yes that's a bit pricey but i really enjoyed it. my friends did not love the wines...they mostly love big bold Napa Cabs (who doesn't!?!) so this was not their "cup of tea" per se.... I love my big cabs but my other red of choice is Pinot and that's what Sinskey does well. We did a regular tasting on another day and that was done inside at the bar vs outside =( i normally love the bar and we did have very attentive service from Antwaun but i miss the patio with the views. They said the tasting was inside b/c of the rainy weather earlier in the day. that makes sense. i'll likely be back!

Yelp
Went for a wine tasting and curated lunch experience. Was a beautiful experience. The food was really good and the wine was even better. Our attendant was very personable and knowledgeable

Yelp
This was our 2nd stop of the tour. It was a small wine tasting area. But the taste did not disappoint. We ended up buying 3 of the 4 we've tasted. This place is worth a multiple visit for sure.

Yelp
Great wines at a beautiful location. Sinskey leaves a lasting impression and it's always lovely to come visit. The wines are all super solid. I'm not a regular Pinot Noir drinker myself (and this is the estate's specialty of sorts) but this winery serves the best Pinot I've ever had. I became a member because of their Zin and Cab Franc + Cab Franc blends. Service is top notch and the small bites are an awesome way to push things over the top. We always enjoy being helped by Otavio. He's truly great at his job and a great conversationalist. We were helped by someone else today which... was fine... but your wine educator can really make or break an experience.

Yelp
This place offers food/meals and tastings, so much yes! Food is organic and mostly grown on the estate, which means you can actually taste the wow in the flavor. Everything was honestly amazing, no complaints on the food. Wine - tasting includes 6 wines which was a great value to try the different types. They doubled up on some grapes, but made sure they were different, which was nice. Overall we loved the wines. We loved the lack of structure with the food and wines and encouraged you to just try everything in different combinations to make it fun. While some might prefer more structure - this place is just more loose in that regard. Staff was very knowledge but also probably a pathological liar. He made it interesting and a great story, but it was a bit awkward with the outlandish stories he'd tell about himself that were very far from the truth. He sat down with us like we were friends and made the experience very fun. Wine cave - off limits to guests at this time, I guess the fire dept shut it down. Though that might have been another lie, that's what our server told us. No worries, we didn't book a tour just the food and wine. This place is small batch so they didn't let us buy bottles to waive the tasting fee, which we didn't' like. I think buying an $85 bottle to waive the fee would have made us each purchase one, but in the end we left with 0 and spent over $125 each. Not complaining, just providing my review. I would definitely go back and try the full meal, maybe they will have changed the policies on tasting fees by then!

Yelp
I visited RSV during Valentine's Weekend February 2022. I've been to this winery a few times and it continues to produce wines we like. Our host, Octavio, was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was enthusiastic about the wines and proud of the whole farm philosophy. We reserved the Flight of Five Tasting for $50/person and it came with snacks prepared in their kitchen. The snacks were delicious so I'm sure their food and wine pairing will be even better. We purchased the Pinot Noir Los Carneros 2017 which we will drink for Valentine's. We also got our favorite, the 2016 Pinot Noir Three Amigos Vineyard, which we will save for later. Overall RSV is on my favorite list. Cheers!

Yelp
This was one of the most unfriendly experiences I have ever experienced in Napa. While we didn't care for the wine either, I have never given such a low rating for a winery. First off, we arrive on a rainy Saturday and they tell us we can't have our pup in there because they serve food. The room where they serve food is completely separate from the bar area where they do not. After trying to explain that to them, we had to leave our dog in the car. Wine country is always been super dog friendly so this was already not off to a good start. There were four of us, so we asked if we could sit at one of the bar tables since sitting at the bar makes conversation hard. They told us those were reserved for some other type of tastings. Again, no accommodation or focus on the customer. Btw, the winery was only about 30% full so they could have tried harder. Next, they do the whole we give you wine for a self-guided tasting, which to me translates to we don't provide the service and pour the wines, but will still charge you for it later. I will say the guy that poured our wines was nice and knowledgeable but perhaps we were stuck with the rules of this winery. They gave us little plates with nuts, mini quiche, and some crackers. Since they actually give you quite a bit of wine, we were hungry so I asked if we could order some of the food. The answer was NO! That was only for pairings. I mean a kitchen can't make extra something so we can enjoy our wine. I have never heard of something so ridiculous. I asked for more nuts and crackers, and even that they could not do. This was beyond RIDICULOUS! Finally, when the bill came, the suggested tip was 20%, 25%, and 30%. My husband gave them 15%, if I was paying I would give them nothing. There are way better places and better wines in Napa. For $50 per person, this was truly a waste of our time and money.

Yelp
The wine was pretty good, and the best part was the house-made snacks. Tastings came with 5 glasses and a small plate of crackers and biscuits. The winery itself was pretty small, but the views were gorgeous. There is a small garden area as you walk into the building, and you can see the grape vines as you drive in.

Yelp
Yes! The food and wine pairing at Robert Sinskey are on point! We came here on a Monday, you know because that is the only way to do Napa these days! There was no line no wait but reservations are required. The lamb and gnocchi was to die for, seriously I could bath in this stuff. And it perfectly paired with their cab! We wanted to the cave experience but it was booked out for the next month. So next time! But the food OMG, yes 100% come for the food, portions are kind of small but the quality is 100% The wine is also on point, it was good, it was a great spread between your whites to reds. I am not much a of a fan of the white wines, but I really enjoyed their whites.

Yelp
Jame is an absolute treasure. Knowledgeable, funny, sweet, unpretentious. 5 stars for Jame. Wine was yummy, really enjoyed their Zin's and Bordeaux. Farm to table tasting was one of the best tastings/pairings I have been to. Almost joined the club, but their whites and Pinot's weren't to my taste.
google avatar

Kathy V.

Yelp
Note: reservation suggested if you have a party of 5 or more. Walk ins are available to smaller groups. Tucked in Napa in the boonies, but intimate. 5 tastings for $40.00 and comes with a snack. We could of ordered food but requires 24hrs in advance that comes with wine tasting. 1 host serving us drinks. I thought there should be at least 2 people with 25 people at the bar. It's hard to entertain and explain the history behind the wine. Host was nice and had lots of patience.
google avatar

Tammy O.

Yelp
We have been here before and enjoyed our visit. We thought while passing through this morning we would stop by with family. The sign says "reservations recommended. It does not say required". When approached by the hostess she was very dismissive, with only three other cars in the parking lot she said we could not have a tasting because our party of six was too large to accommodate. When we said we would split into separate tables she said that would not work either since they didn't have enough staff to serve us. She wasn't friendly about it either. Did not offer the bar or to buy a bottle or anything further. On a Sunday afternoon if you can't handle four cars of visitors, you shouldn't be open. In the very least, she could have at least been more gracious about it. We frequent Napa Valley for wine, however we will no longer recommend nor return here!

Yelp
Quite possibly the first winery I've been to in the area that had an overall awesome experience. Justin was both knowledgeable and personable as he allowed us to enjoy our tastings and also provide insight when he would check in. There wasn't a single tasting in the flight we were disappointed with, but the Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and POV were my 3 favorite. My brother and sister-in-law walked away with a membership, and if I frequented the Napa area more, I likely would have done the same. Not to mention the small plate you receive with your tastings... Everything was delicious! The grounds are beautiful and I'd be very interested to experience their Chef's Table. Tastings are $40 for 5 and well worth the experience. I'll certainly be back.

Yelp
This was our favorite stop during our trip to the Napa Valley. I would highly recommend the tasting. It was unique and well paired with our food. We had two hosts and both were really great at helping us learn more about the winery and the philosophy. We really enjoyed the wine and the grounds were also gorgeous. I was amazed at how unpretentious it was.

Yelp
I've enjoyed their wine club for years because they have the best wines in Napa Valley, in my opinion - and because they provide a wonderful experience at the winery when you visit. They have always thought about pairing food with wine and offer great dishes as well as recipes and advice to their customers. The beautiful facility is located on the Silverado Trail and offers both inside and outside experiences facilitated by their engaged, friendly, happy team. Highly recommended for both their wines and the terrific experiences they offer.

Yelp
We had the best visit here on a Friday. Alex was very informative and personable. Actually everyone was informative and personable but I didnt catch everyone's name. If you want to avoid the crowds, avoid Saturday. We tried the $40 & $125 flight. They were both great and interesting. We would absolutely comeback for the tasting menus. The food looked amazing. I think it was Erwin who was making the most detailed and delicious looking treats. We got the large rosè. It is going to be the most amazing gift. So impressive. Got a bottle of the pinot. Also got a couple of jars of the fig cardamon jam. We also got the Sinskey cookbook. It looks super yummy. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Beautiful space, beautiful views and comfortable outdoor seating. For $50 you get to taste 5 wines, which is more than the usual 3-4 at other vineyards. You get 2 whites and 3 reds, 2 oz each. You get a complimentary snack plate and a box of water. Antoine was knowledgeable about the wine, and very funny. We made an appointment 10 minutes before we walked in, so this is a good last minute option if you're having trouble getting into some of the bigger name vineyards.

Yelp
A beautiful winery! This was our first time visiting and we joined the wine club. I felt safe visiting during covid, we sat outside and watched a beautiful sunset while enjoying our tasting. Our host was very helpful and gave us a history of how the winery came to be and walked us thru each wine. I love that the ingredients used in our food pairing came from the property. Doesn't get fresher than that. Every wine was great, and I love that it's smaller production and you won't find their wines in the big box stores.

Yelp
I'll fully admit this was the first Napa winery we visited that stood out and stated strongly - this is why Napa is wine country. Before RSV all the tasting rooms visited were reminiscent of tasting rooms throughout the country. If you plucked the venue out of Napa and placed it anywhere in U.S. wine producing areas it wouldn't stand out, that had been my experience. But RSV was simply cool. I'm fond of little details and RSV had them all - the architecture is stunning. The bright parking lot, the large entrance, the vaulted ceilings with chandeliers adorned with wine corks made the venue entrancing. They took every opportunity to cover any free space with merchandise from jams to books they were a one stop venue for merch, drink, and coolness. We were able to walk in and take a large table toward the back. They gave us little snacks to munch on as we looked over their tasting menu. No options were given - it was a daily tasting menu. The wines were very lovely and we walked away with many bottles in tow. I appreciated that they gave us a discount for the tasting for that. My only complaint is that they were rather slow in going from pour to pour. It may have simply been an off-day for them as we never had the same person pour twice in a row and they seemed confused. There was one time they even were about to repeat a pour because they just couldn't remember where they were in the order. By far it was the slowest experience, but the place was so charming it was fine.

Yelp
Wow! Gorgeous views in the heart of California wine country! My good friend brought me there for a food pairing and it was delightful! The service was outstanding and the the view! It's what wine tasting in Napa should be. I will definitely be back and I'm not really into the touristy side of Napa but this felt like a very comfortable leisurely experience. Loved that the chef came out and grabbed some herbs from the free standing pots in the yard. Talk about fresh!

Yelp
Had an amazing day at Robert Sinskey Vineyards on August 8. We were in St. Helena for a wedding and were looking for a super last minute reservation for a food and wine pairing at a local vineyard. Called around a bunch and everyone said it was too last minute and they could not accommodate us. Except for Robert Sinskey! They usually require 24 hour advance notice for a food pairing but they opened the kitchen and were able to serve us even though it was the day of. While we expected a standard charcuterie plate, this was anything but. A consciously crafted board of all sorts of locally sourced mini dishes were presented for each pair at our 6 person seating, served alongside a wonderful fresh flatbread with creme fraiche, zucchini, and herbs on it. They surprised us afterwards with a delicious pasta dish to top things off. The wine was also delicious - their version of a rose, a white, two pinot noirs, their marcien, and their limited quantity cab. The wine was all so delicious, I bought a couple bottles of the Rose and a bottle of their SLD Cab. The server we had was very helpful and told us the story of the vineyard and a background to all the food and wine we ate. They made my buddy's wedding day just that much more special.

Yelp
You are paying for the free view! I know, I know. Tasting in Napa is pricey. But as we were driving down the Silverado Trail, we had to turn around to go back to where we saw lovely patio and gorgeous building. Everything about this tasting location is ideal - gorgeous patio and beautiful building from the outside, but the inside is nice too. We parked in their lot, thank goodness for actual parking here. We made our way up the stairs and opened the grand doors to be greeted by a nice young gal. She told us tasting was $40/person, but it did come with a small snack of cheese and almonds. We didn't have a reservation, but that didn't seem to be a problem. Again, we decided to buy a bottle instead of paying $120 for all three of us to have small tastings. We told her our plan and made our way to the tasting bar. One employee aggressively told us someone was still tasting where I went to look at the menu. I know his bad day shouldn't have affected me, but geeze, he could have been a little nicer. He left a bad taste in my mouth. Then, a nice young man came over and made up for his a-hole counterpart. He was really nice and chatted with us. We told him our plan and he poured us a few tastings so we could decide on which red we'd buy to enjoy on the patio. We ended up with a bottle of the Robert Sinskey Vineyards Pinot Noir, Los Carneros. He handed us our glasses and we made our way out to the patio. We passed chefs working hard on flat breads with their fire oven, which looked awesome. We enjoyed that you could see it all happening. Then we walked through another doorway of more seating, which looked more like a restaurant style seating. Through there we made our way to the outdoor patio. They had a set-up for a large party and the employee happily said hi to us as she was setting up. Then we made our way to the real deal, the patio with the gorgeous outlook -- which we saw from the Silverado Trail and why we decided to come here. They had a variety of seating from regular patio seating, to comfy loungers, and tables with an umbrella covering. It was such a gorgeous day, this was the perfect place for the back drop. Don't get me wrong, the wine was good, but really the view and backdrop is what made this place amazing for me. Even with that guys stanky attitude, I was happy to be there. Wine and a view, that's what Napa is made for!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our 32 anniversary... we had terrible service and the wine was unremarkable. Perhaps the service tainted our impression of the wine... if you read my other reviews you know I'm actually usually delighted when I'm inspired to review. This is exactly the opposite. We were given a set of 5 small tasking vessels and some promo material. We were so happy going in and excited about your day and this was THE downer. Every other table got attention. We were warehoused. After 45 minutes I went to pay for the tastings. We were inclined to buy to commemorate our anniversary and instead we left knowing we'd NEVER return to this place. They missed tips and an opportunity to sell us in bottles and subscriptilns
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
Not at all what we expected. We signed up for the five wine tasting along with three course food pairing. No welcome. No education about Sinskey wines or winery. Used the same two glasses for all five wines - whites and reds. Pour your own from a small flask. 1/2 of the food bites were well done. 1/2 were fairly tasteless. The wines were just ok. Hamel Family and Far Niente experiences were MUCH better (five star & 4.5 star, respectively).
google avatar

Brynn J.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this winery- but unfortunately the service ruined the experience. We were a party of 2 with reservations for the Root to Glass tasting. The host was pre occupied with another couple and seemed very distracted and unengaged- almost annoyed that we were sitting there.

Yelp
This was the first winery we visited when we got to Napa Valley. My friend took us here because they do wine pairing tastings! Upon entering, we were given a complimentary glass of pinot blanco and headed straight to the bar. I'm not much of a drinker, so we shared the flight of five, which came with seasonal tastes from the Vineyard Kitchen. We received a small plate of cheese, crackers, almonds, fig, and bread to try with the wines. It was fun seeing which items paired well with the wine I was tasting. We also got a small piece of roasted duck to pair with the pinot noir. I liked that we were given an extra tasting of a sweet wine at the end- I think it was called Pinot Gris Late (from 2012). It was really yummy and tasted like juice LOL. Afterwards, we went outside and took some photos in the pretty vineyard. There were actually some really cute strawberries growing here that were very sweet (so I was told.) I forgot to mention that there is a small koi pond and a little fountain in front of the winery that are perfect photo ops.

Yelp
We went to six wineries in two days and this was simply the best winery we went to. Yes five stars because we had the best experience out of the 6 wineries we visited. They had the best pairing of wines and some amazing food. Non of the other wineries had fresh food grown on the winery property. Just amazing selection of food with the wine. No other winery came close. . The description of the history and the wines were not like any other winery we experienced.

Yelp
Relax tasting. Beautiful story about the winery and how it started. Antoine was our tasting associate and he was amazing.

Yelp
Awesome winery and first stop for a Napa newbie! We were greeted at the front (with no reservation) and were brought through a tasting of all different kinds of wines. They even offer free snacks - made on premises and specifically chosen to pair with each of the wines. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to offer information on their wines, process, and the Napa area in general. The winery is beautiful and view outside isn't bad either! We purchased the Pinot Gris here - my boyfriend doesn't usually like white wine but this one was so different and delicious!

Yelp
We've been stopping in to taste the wines at Robert Sinskey for over 15 years now and fondly remember them from many years ago as one of the first vineyards in the valley focused on food-wine pairings. Even back then they insisted on tasting their wines with olives, seasoned nuts or other treats. In fact I still regularly make one of these at home, the grougheres, based on the recipe I got from our very first visit in the early 1990s. With their most recent expansion, they have gone even further into the realm of food and wine, so on our recent April visit to Napa we booked a private seated tasting. Reservations required. We checked in with the hostess and as we were a bit early she gave us some of their Pinot Grigio and we chose to sit outside and bask in the warm sunshine by the koi pond. She came out and found us when it was time for our tasting to begin. We were seated at a table for four and another couple joined us (note to winery - this was billed as a PRIVATE seated tasting - in the end we had a great time meeting the other couple but I think this needs to clarified to people up front). Over the course of an hour we tasted their Abraxas (white blend), 2 pinots (very good), merlot and Bordeaux blend (excellent) and enjoyed a small plate of tasty bites including the gougheres. We had a great time and really enjoyed the wine and the new snazzy digs. It's nice to see the growth and progress at this gem in Napa. Highly recommended

Yelp
Robert Sinskey was a beautiful place to stop by. The property was gorgeous and the building was unique inside and out. But the praises stop there. When we walked into the tasting hall, nothing. No greeting. No acknowledgement. There were only 2 other visitors in the building. We made a point to stop right in front of the bar. Then something worse than nothing happened. The lady behind the bar proceeded to look at us, then looked away. Apparently we were not good enough for her attention or service. Wow. We walked once around the tasting hall out of courtesy then practically ran our way out. No wonder it was empty. I know this review is biased given that we didn't even taste their wines or food. But we were so turned off by their hospitality that we didn't care to be there. What a waste!

Yelp
A Really Nice Above Average Winery On The Silverado Trail SITREP After a day of winetasting and lunching in the Calistoga and Yountville areas, this was our last stop before heading back to Sacramento. I say this because perhaps by comparison with Vincent Arroyo Winery and Chateau Boswell - which are outstanding wineries and full-on 5-Star establishments rated by my experience - I can't see Sinskey on the same level as them. If my day had been only taken in, Robert Sinskey and Mumm's, then perhaps I would have given these two establishments 5-Stars. But any winery is going to suffer by comparison to Chateau Boswell especially, so there is my full disclosure. There was (for us anyways), no touring, no docent explanation of the wine-making process, no self-guided walk, no real examination of the winery itself. It was purely a structured tasting-experience with some nice chill time to sit and look at the scenery. THE SETUP Since I was with my friend Jennifer H. who is a member of Robert Sinskey's wine club, we were able to do a "full flight" of winetasting with them waiving the $25 per person charge - another consideration for the amateur wine-taster: it really DOES matter who you go wine-tasting with. THE WINES I tend to focus on white wines, but interestingly enough, in my personal visit to this place, the whites took a back seat: * I found their Pinot Blanc to be a bit too much on the tart and very dry side. Perhaps good qualities for most wine drinkers, but a bit too dry for me in this instance. * Unfortunately, I had really wanted to try was the Muscat Blanc, the more sweet white wine, but I was told that was not an option available on our particular flight of wines, so maybe next time. [Though to be honest when a winery tells me "no" to anything, I tend not to return nor give the establishment a recommendation to a friend.] What was interesting is that I was actually very taken with their reds which I normally do NOT like (reds period, not just their reds). * Their Cabernet Savignon "SLD 2008" was rich and full-bodied and did not overpower my pallet with the tannins (which is my personal problem with red wine) - quite the opposite it was well-balanced or actually "imbalanced" in favor of a less tanniny flavor. I loved it. Jennifer purchased several bottles of this wine which retails for $242 a bottle (there is a discount for Sinskey wine club members). * But my absolute favorite was their proprietary red "Marcien 2007 - this was very accessible for my tastebuds and a nice blend, with the hints of blackberry and dark chocolate instantly making it one I want to have again. Jennifer purchases several bottles of this wine as well which retails for $212 a bottle (there is a discount for Sinskey wine club members). CUSTOMER SERVICE Full on props for the wine ambassadors at Sinskey. They were exceptional, attentive and provided quality customer service. Since Jennifer was a member of their wine club, there were some exclusive privileges for our group. We got to sit on the side patio with our own private docents serving us wine, sip after sip after sip. We asked for more, they gave it to us. "Membership has it's privileges." PHYSICAL PLANT The Sinskey winery main building is a beautiful structure, very elegant in design, and very lavish with the stone work that marks this unique place. It has a plethora of different patios, some with absolutely beautiful views over the interior of the Napa Valley. The interior wine bar is well-laid out and the set-up permits wine tastings for several groups simultaneously. It just means you need to have sufficient staff to man the tastings, and the slow service (because of a lack of manpower) helped make the decision to in fact move to the patio once Jennifer discovered she had this privilege, and so the tastings went more smoothly after our move. THE BITES Sinskey brought out a delicious food bite platter for each flight tasting for each individual. There were: * Olives * Roasted Nuts * A largish sliver of muenster cheese on a toasted cracker * A delicious cheesy poof (I really don't how else to describe this pastry treat other than a smaller more airy version of those great cheese rolls one gets at Red Lobster - sorry to be so pedestrian in my description *hangs head in shame*) * And a delicious mini-quiche! Oh my god this was so good. All dam delicious! Take a look! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/robert-sinskey-vineyards-napa?select=3bWzoJjr-z9GYpsOTVepGA#XRneBO7MRpCslGB4op39TQ THE LOWDOWN Though my WHITE wine experience here was mediocre at best, I took great delight in the delicious RED wine experience - which was exceptional - and an exquisite view on the Silverado Trail.

Yelp
This was recommended by the guys over at Silverado Wineries and it was really close so we decided to give it a shot. It's not the biggest winery, but they included some food with your tasting so that really made us decide to give this spot a hit on the wine tasting journey. The wines were simple about average, but the customer service was much more surprising as the dude who helped us really went above and beyond and even gave our designated driver some free food which was very nice and respectful. The grounds aren't the biggest, but they do have a nice entrance as well as koi fish was was rather nice. I wouldn't say this is a classic Napa winery to visit, but it's worth a least one visit. I'll give it a thumbs up.

Yelp
Located in Napa Valley - Robert Sinskey Vineyards (RSV) is definitely a gem. This vineyard also has several associate vineyards in the area to harvest grapes - and some in the lower region where the climate is cooler for the cooler varieties such as Merlot. RSV uses the whole farm technique of biodiversity to develop its organic wines. Located on a hillside it has many caverns filled with aging barrels. The result are a wide selection of expertly crafted wines from whites to reds with differing bodies and complexities. The main building offers and area for reserved tastings and food pairings and an outdoor terrace to kick back and enjoy food sampling's with a glass of your favorite wine. The staff is friendly and helpful - always glad to tell you about their process and the great wines they produce. For a real treat - schedule a food pairing and tasting - the food is organic and absolutely amazing , prepared by top chefs !! The host and/or hostess help to keep the event moving and provide knowledge to the great foods and wines you will be sampling. All together - whether you stop for a quick tasting or reserve for a full food pairing -I am sure this place will exceed your expectations. Definitely a favorite of mine. Put this place on your list of Must Do wineries in Napa !!

Yelp
Despite all the COVID restrictions, a very enjoyable experience. Beautiful outdoor tasting area and Sabrina was the best. She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the best of our experience. She answered all of our questions and had a very chill vibe, making our visit extremely memorable. Make sure you check out the grounds and the Pinot Noir here. A great stop on your day in Napa.

Yelp
RSV is a very nice boutique winery on the Silverado Trail. This is a smaller but very interesting Organic winery known for its reds. The founder (Robert Sinskey) is a famous ophthalmologist from Santa Monica, CA After 20 years, Robert Sinskey's philosophy is that "Wine is not an athletic event" holds true to this day. His goal has always been to make "pure wines of character that pair well with cuisine". Was pleasantly surprised at how warm and inviting this place was. It was easy to find, easy to make a reservation at, and the staff was friendly and warm.

Yelp
One of the best tasting experiences I've had in a long while. My husband and I had a reservation for the Chef's Table tasting and we enjoyed every moment. Each bite the chef prepared was perfectly paired with one of their fabulous wines. The food was tapas style small bites. Just enough to taste all the flavors and not overfill on food alone. Our server was very knowledgeable about each wine poured. He also made recommendations of what foods to pair the wines with when at home. We will definitely return for another visit!

Yelp
Skip this winery. Wine is awful and "root to table" tasting was a joke! Food was minuscule and bland.

Yelp
Robert Sinskey Pinot Noir rocks! Also, Robert Sinskey's wine tasting and kitchen facilities where they make their own snacks in-house rocks, too! I found Robert Sinskey's wine being served in New York City's 5-star restaurants such as The Waterfront Crabhouse: http://wfcrabhouse.com/photogallery.html . Incidentally, the Pinot Noir wine I purchased throughout the past two decades always and consistently tastes deep and very rich.

Yelp
This is my new favorite winery in Napa. We came here for my best friend's birthday. We made a reservation a day before. We have a patio table with a great view. It was wine and french tapas pairing. It was fancy! The French tapas were sooooo delicious. With wine, even better! A serving guy was nice and knowledgeable and we enjoyed his explanation and taste. He even recommended other wineries we should visit next. Wine quality here was good. I got a white one and a friend of mine got some expensive red wines This place made a great birthday outing memory. Thank you! I would love to come visit here again.

Yelp
Nice and beautiful place and off the beaten path. I would stick to the wine tasting only and skip the root-to-table dining experience. The food was average and it was more a wine tasting sales session. I wished they describe the food and their origins more. They're wines were nothing special but you should try as you may find their wines great. As a side note Chase marks this vendor as entertainment for their credit card transactions.

Yelp
Non existent service for the most part. We enjoyed the white wine that we started with, but then service ended.

Yelp
I have to say we were really looking forward to this winery, a root to glass experience. It was the worst experience on our four day Napa/Sonoma weekend, and one of the most expensive. There were six in our group. The wine expert didn't even crack a smile the entire time she hosted us. She told us twice that she was not suppose to have our table but the guy who was assigned never even came to our table to say hello. She never told us any history of the vineyard, about the owners, didn't mention anything really informative. She simply poured the 5 or so wines told us what they were and walked away - left us far too long until the next bottle. Never even asked if we wanted to order food. For $70 each, we thought "food pairings mentioned in description" were suppose to come with the experience, but that was not the case. The food provided was a couple crackers a couple peanuts and a couple teeny tiny puffs. Not the description from the website/tour company at all. Way too expensive for the few sips of wine they gave us, not to mention the incredibly horrible and unfriendly service. We bought wine and had fabulous conversations filled with knowledge, facts, laughter, and fun at every other place we went to in our four days. This place was so uninterested in us, we couldn't wait to leave and did not purchase one thing. The grounds & building were nice. A complete waste of time and money. I would NOT recommend to anyone.

Yelp
It's a nice property with a beautiful outdoor seating area. If you do the wine tasting for 25 dollars you also get a small plate of "snacks." The wine is pretty good but nothing really stands out at this winery and with so many other choices it's tough to really recommend this place over another.
