Roberto’s Taco Shop Review - Southeast - Las Vegas - The Infatuation

"You’re at that in-between point where you have an equal need for your bed and for food. Roberto’s is the perfect place to stop by and get takeout to bring back to your hotel, because the food is great and their burritos can stand up to a little travel time. There are also a ton of locations around town, which means you’re usually never very far from one. One thing you should definitely order and then eat immediately in the car, though, are the carne asada fries that we’ve considered taking to the next drive-through chapel, or at least serving at our wedding. Make sure you take advantage of the salsa bar before you leave and definitely don’t miss the escabeche." - Milena DiFiore

Great food! We used to eat at Roberto’s in San Diego, so we were delighted when they opened here in Lubbock for whatever reason! Their carne asada is the best, their California burrito is the real thing, and their rolled tacos are a SoCal treat, we haven’t found any place in town that makes them the way Roberto’s does. So glad they’re here!

Ordered rolled tacos that were gross. The avacado for the guacamole was definitely not ripe and had a funny flavor to it and the rolled tacos were extremely cold in the middle. Taste horrible. For the price it was not worth it! I will never go back. I decided to check one of the other rolled tacos and there was some kind of brown liquid on the bottom 🤢

Stumbled across this Taco shop with San Diego style super burritos!! I tried the fish Tacos, they were good, could of used more sauce and a little more seasoning on the fish but nice n fresh and a good fish Taco overall! The salsa could have used a little more heat but it was ok. The real star was the surf n turf burrito with French fries! Great size, steak was good and shrimp was cooked right! It was filling and fresh I'd definitely recommend trying them out!! 😋😁😉🌯🌯 OH Yea and the Carne Asada fries were a great size and enough for two people!! Pretty good!!

Chips and salsa were good, had the #1 combo and the rolled avocado that was made fresh, asked a lot of questions and the young lady was able to answer everything without guessing.

Excellent breakfast burritos and just as amazing customer service! Called ahead once we saw the line at the drive thru. Friendly staff over the phone to take our order. Got to the window and only had to wait a few moments. They give you your choice of red or green salsa. We got a bacon burrito and a chorizo burrito. To say they were big and delicious is an understatement! I don’t think I’d go anywhere else in Lubbock for a breakfast burrito again! Absolutely incredible! Great price for the size and stuffed full. Can’t wait to go back and try their lunch/dinner items.

I don't know whether we visited on a bad day or what, but I am floored that this place's average rating is over a 4. It smelled funny when we walked in and the whole floor in the side indoor seating area was sticky, so we chose to sit outside. The soft taco options were carne asada, fish, and shrimp, so I expected the only meat option to be good. It was not. The meat was tough, chewy, and lacked flavor. There were chunks I had to spit out they were so tough. At least the tortillas tasted good. The beans and rice were just okay. I was quite disappointed.

Here for late breakfast burritos. Although a little pricey, the burritos are very large! Good quality ingredients and very delicious.

Love this place! Im very picky when it comes to Mexican food. Everything that we have tried from here has been good! We got an asada plate which came with two flour tortillas.... these are not just any tortillas, they are huge!! The asada fries have now become one of my favorites. I asked if they had hot sauce that was a bit hotter, which they didn't but he did say that they were working on getting one on the menu. Go check them out!
