Roberto's Taco Shop - Ocean Beach

Holy smokes, I’m still stuffed some 5 hours later. Outrageously delicious. What you’re looking at here is the California surf n Turf burrito. 🌯 Madonn!

Gotta love Roberto's if you are a local. This spot only has outdoor seating but has a drive thru on either side of the building. My tacos were so good ($8 for 3 big tacos). Guacamole was plentiful and so yummy. They recommended the carnival tacos and they did not disappoint. The Hawaiian Burrito was huge and also delicious. Lots of veggies, cheese, carne asada, ham and pineapple. Green and red salsa rock.

Ordered 2 big burritos . Shrimp and fish. We love the green sauce and specifically asked for it only. Hot home and there was 1 green sauce. The green sauce was open so we mopped our burritos in the little container. Not the best night to remember as we always get our order somewhat right . Is there an expectancy one would have to at least expect 2 green sauce ? Especially with 2. Big burritos . I think I like Chula Vista better

Ordered a carne asada and fries burrito. The burrito came with no fries or cheese as listed on the menu; However did contain pico de Gallo which was not listed on the menu. I loathe tomatoes so I complained. The staff refused to correct it stating that there was no manager on duty, so I called Jose Roberto who was such an upstanding guy that he hung up the phone and refused to answer when I called back. They got me for $14 with some inedible trash. Read this review, don't let it happen to you.

Bertos burritos are always good...I will have to try them another time with guac on the side. Ordered a carne asada and a carnitas burrito. I think the guacamole and pico, which were good, made the burritos a bit soggy. It's possible if we ate there it wouldn't have been an issue, but we drove a few a minutes to the OB dog park to eat them. I like carne that's a little chared and I couldn't tell that with the moisture...so it could just be my tastes.

Soooo good!!!! The burritos were crazy big and worth the price, this is one of the biggest burritos we have gotten. The rolled tacos were delicious and the beans and rice had an amazing flavor. I highly recommend this place, we found it by going to a gas station we were hungry and seen the taco shop right next door. Fast and friendly service as well so don't hesitate to try.

San Diego native and OB local for 20+ years... This place is a hit or miss, more misses than hits! Whenever I don't feel like driving to Nico's on Morena or I'm too drunk to go anywhere else, then this place is my last resort. They'll get your order wrong and be stingy with the salsas. Yet, I still go there out of convenience. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT AND OPEN YOUR FOOD CONTAINER TO DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU GOT WHAT YOU PAID FOR! Shouldn't have to be that way but if no one is checking on their job than why would they care!? They used to be open 24-Hours also. Minus another star for changing that. But hey, I'm just a local, what do I know. The inexperienced white folk around here love this spot!

Just not consistant- Red salsa tasted like a slighty warm tomatoe soup. Usually it lights my scalp on fire. Ordered a Been and cheese burrito- Tortia was burnt and way more cheese than beans which where not hot... lukewarm at best. Also, ordered beef enchilada's - no real flavor- the sauce was so bland- God.... so disappointing. I pitched the second enchilada---- Burnt tortilla, just nasty--- Ortiz's is so superior...
