Erika was our cashier today. It has been the worst customer service I have ever had. My husband is a regular customer and says that he has never had a terrible service like Erika gave us today. The food was good, the size of the burrito was a little smaller than usual though, but food is good.

Went in to order some breakfast burritos. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. I also enjoyed the sweet tasting Horchata. The salsa bar was a plus too. Green salsa was fire. Great tasting Mexican food with chilly weather is the way to go. Fast service and great authentic taste!

This definitely hit the spot! We gorged on some great food! We were on the way to In-N-Out, but my wife caught the out of the corner of her eye. It's worth a stop!!

People have varied options of Roberto's, but I've always loved it. The food quality and prep is solid, well priced, and the people working there are always pleasant. Is it in the best part of town? Maybe not, but this isn't the kind of place you go to expecting a Michigan star meal. This is the kind of place that reliably serves tasty food to all kinds of people 24h a day, and that's pretty awesome if I say so.

The shredded beef burrito was delicious! (Carne asada was pretty bland) Now the service was an absolute -☆ lady at the counter must have just been overwhelmed. The speedy line cook was much more friendly and helpful.

Their fish taco is the gold standard to which all other fish tacos fail to aspire to. The fish is crispy to perfection, with a generous mix of fresh veggies and a secret sauce all wrapped in the perfect sized tortilla.

Read a great review by Tara T on this restaurant. So I decided to swing by and have lunch. What an odd set up. Four parking spots and a drive thru. I parked and went inside. Tight quarters, but clean and well organized. Decent sized seating area. Easy ordering, classic menu. I ordered carne asada tacos and Tara was right, these are street tacos (I opted to leave off the guac) but double the normal street tacos size. These came with a larger single corn tortilla that was cooked in some fashion as it held together really well. Meat has a great flavor, onions and cilantro are fresh. I ate these as served with no sauce, and they were delicious. Good quality beef, well seasoned and thoroughly cooked. They have bottled drinks, a soda dispenser (Pepsi products) and a condiment bar. I'll be back. Will probably drive through next time. Thanks Tara T!

About the only thing going for this place is the fact that they are usually open 24/7 and it's next to a college. I ordered a burrito from here on a Friday when they had a line going all the way to the door with drunken 20 somethings. I would describe the ambiance as loud and gross, the food is also gross. The filling of my burrito tasted like the microwave kind and had a similar texture. The service is stressed and probably underpaid for what they deal with in there. Almost anywhere else in town does food better.

This Roberto's Taco Shop is easy to find just South of the UNR Campus at Virginia Street & I-80. Parking is tight on their small lot. Locally run, friendly service, and really decent fast food. Always worth the drive. Some really tasty seasonings. Local dive style place that is clean and consistent,.

I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was well cooked and plenty of it. I also witnessed the counter person give a burrito to a homeless man. This is something you don't see a lot of. I highly recommend this location.

Wild how you walk into a 24/7 establishment and they tell you they can't serve you because they're closed. Terrible customer service, and rude employees.

I was so disappointed in this place. I had heard such great things. I went to the drive thru (because I've sick and didn't want to expose people). I ordered 2 cheese enchiladas and specifically asked for no sour cream. 3 times just to be sure. I drove all the way home just to unpack it and it is literally filled with sour cream. I decided to drive all the back and explain, I was very nice about it. But they refused to make another dish. Said it was my fault. I had to just throw it in the trash.. The drive thru girl was so rude to me. There are other great mexican places in town. I will go there from now on. I don't like to write bad reviews, honestly, but they clearly could not have cared less about the issue.

Very upset! This Robertos tacos shop is by Atlantais casino. We came a very long way to get tacos frome here. We usually live them, however...we got stale tacos, a tiny bit if meat, and it was nothing like we have got un the past 3 years. Sad how people change things, then they wonder why they aren't making as much money. Wecame 2 different days hoping it was just a one time thing, but nopeI terrible

What a crappy experience. I should have listened to the reviews. Shredded chicken burrito? It's supposed to be grilled. Carnitas taco was wet and fell apart first bite, no moistness whatsoever. Hard shell beef taco was cold. So disappointing. Never again. Took a chance, lost.

Today I used the online ordering system again. This time I had an idea to make sure the order was ready when I arrived: since yelp shows their phone number, after ordering online, I called them and let them know I was on my way and asked them to start my order as soon as possible. The girl located my order and said that she had the order and she would tell the cook. What we ordered: Two Carnitas tacos Two shredded beef burritos Shredded beef chimichanga, no beans It took me about 25 minutes to get here. The food still was not finished, but it was only a couple of minutes waiting. It seems strange that The online ordering system allows you to choose to have your food made ASAP, or pick a later time to have it prepared. This doesn't seem to work. Not sure if they don't get notifications there is an online order or if they just don't give it a priority and tell you arrive. I mean, I do pay online, so the food is paid for. I wish that they would start the order as soon as they got it. But yes, calling in after making the online order send to speed up the process.

I have to tell you I absolutely love this place. Their tacos are amazing probably the best in town fast food or restaurant. They're ingredients are fresh and I'm never unhappy with the quality of the food that I received. Now to get to why I'm giving this location for stars. I am a creature of habit and I go to this location every Wednesday night and take food home for my family. It's kind of a tradition. You go to the same place often enough you start to recognize the people and the cars. Mostly because this location only has five parking spots. Today is the first time in many weeks that there wasn't a black shiny car with a California license plate parked in the handicap zone. Mind you this car is there every time I go to this location, very clearly they work there. The car was there tonight, but for some reason, not parked in the handicap zone probably because Hot August nights is in town, and there's cops everywhere. I went in and there was not a single customer in the place yet. There was only one available parking spot. I know that it sucks to walk, but if your job to keep paying customers to come in and spend their money. Stop parking illegally, leave some spots for the people that make sure your boss has income.

The part that is OK are the beef tacos. My brother got the Carne Asada burrito and it looked like a mixture of chicken and beef and nothing else. He was completely full. The salsa bar looks kind of watered down and the jalapeños and carrots were marinated, but looked homemade and I kind of liked the canned better. Tables were a little dirty. Food was really reasonable. The area of town is kind of rough, but all in all if you can handle all that I think the food was decent.

Whenever Me and my wife have a craving for Mexican food, we usually go here for their rolled tacos, Burritos and Quesadillas! One time they mistakenly gave us an order of Carne Asada Tacos and those were great too. We usually end up going there in the evening. Try not to go there at midnight, because the drive thru will be closed for 15 minutes. Their food is great, but one time they put the Hot food into the styrofoam container and the hot food burnt a hole in it. I may have had another post with pics.

Ana and Hilda They were excellent. Anna was excellent at customer service and she helped us we come up here quite often from Northern California and it was a great experience. The food was delicious. . We ordered chili Reno rice and beans and taco with rice and beans and it all was delicious. We also had an enchilada a cheese enchilada was phenomenal buttery the rice was delicious. The beans were creamy just yummy. We will definitely be back

My go-to is the breakfast burrito, either sausage or bacon. I buy two so I'm covered for the next day. The prices adjusted recently due to ongoing egg shortage with 'U.S. Hens Avian Influenza' and I was a little surprised but know a carton of eggs at Trader Joes are north of $6. I want to give a shout out to the Roberto's team and workers at this 801 N Virginia location. Keep on rocking in the free world! You guys are the best and the burrito always hits right!

Been to this chain in San Diego and remember the food being good. This location boxed up burnt and overcooked fish tacos. Double check your food when you order to go

I ordered menudo and a pastor super burrito. Bother menu items were delicious. Probably the best menudo I've had in a long time. I just don't like how they didn't add hominy and I notice most places don't. But overall, the dishes were good.

Never going again, I was waiting for 30 min for my order then saw the lady Erika delete my order off the screen. Didn't get my order for another 10 minutes when I told her.

how am I supposed to eat this with sour cream squirted all over it except the inside. I asked for it on the side. It's a gross mess.

I gave the cashier $25 for an $18 order, and she refused to give me my $5 back. She put the money halfway into the register, then said the extra $5 was from the register. I used to come here at least once a week. Not anymore. Or maybe I just won't tip when she's working, since she already got plenty from me.

Came here on NYE after counting down under the Reno arch and it was poppin'! Which meant it must be good. Cashier seemed overwhelmed but I don't blame him with how crowded and hectic it was. The kitchen staff were friendly though and cranked out the orders as quickly as possible and with a smile. Carne asada fries and beef rolled tacos were good and they had a salsa bar with hot carrots. Was just bummed they were out of horchata.

This is a dive taco shop with pretty huge servings that's most popular on weekends at 2am. Don't forget to hit the salsa bar!

I used to love this place. However lately it's gone downhill. Chips and guacamole became a container of chips covered in guacamole and cheese. When you scan the whole menu for something vegan, I find it weird they would cover your guacamole and rice in cheese. It was $7.15 for premade guacamole on premade chips and another $3.70 each for a side of rice and beans. $15.75 for chips I had to send back, bland beans, and bland beans. The server was super rude. Super rude. I asked if they had any milder salsa than what was out (usually I get pico or enchilada offered). Nope. It's hot and hotter. I watched the server be continuously rude to the next five customers to come in, and I'm kind of dismayed because this used to be a favorite of mine. Hopefully the other locations are still decent because this is a sad showing of the Roberto's name.

small little restaurant opened 24/7 the cashier man was nice and friendly it does get a little busy ordered the fish burrito and shrimp fries the fish burrito was decent while the shrimp fries was huge and decent as well the best part were the unlimited amount of carrots and onions and the carrots were good the green sauce was great not spicy the red sauce has a kick at the end and is spicy its great that its opened late, good place to get late night food

Great burritos i had the Carne Asada and the Carnitas burritos both were very delicious. What were the price? The people were very friendly definitely will be returning.

I don't know why I always keep giving this place chances One out of every five times it's perfect other times something uncooked or nasty... forgot to add that I tried calling several times and you cannot leave a message. Nobody would pick up.

It's been a while since we've been in, but we love Roberto's! My husband always gets the chorizo breakfast burrito and I shared the carne asada nachos with my kids. Their portions, as you can see, are very generous. Good good, good prices, and service is quick!

The employees here get LAZY and CLOSE online orders AT NIGHT along with Doordash orders. You might as well close down the store during the night time. Please make it make sense!!

I just ordered from Roberto's for the first time. I ordered bean tostada and cheese enchilada to go. Got home within 8 minutes and found everything cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. Beans ice cold. I won't go there again and I had heard good things. They weren't busy so there is no excuse to not have cooked my food.

The Bean & Cheese burritos are on point I get them every time we come our here from the Bay Area

Great spot for a late night grab for some Mexican food, in general it's a good grab and go spot, even if you want to sit down. Large portions and kind of sloppy, which is one of the ways I like to eat lol.

2nd time to enjoy and first review. My colleagues rave over their breakfast burritos and I agree. I had the egg, potato, bacon burrito with green verde sauce. This is great for breakfast but I would try at night for a late night snack after a beer. Yummy I'll be back!

Roberto's is a solid taco shop. I've been to both the Reno and Carson city locations. Recently went to this one by the convention center. My wife ordered beef chimichanga combo. I had a veggie burrito and an order of chips. We dined in, which is the way to go if you have time. They have a nice salsa bar inside with fresh salsas, pickled jalapeños with escobeche, and sliced radishes & cucumbers, and fresh lemon. With two of us sharing a drink, it was still a little over $30 for lunch. Their prices are a little on the high side, but the quality is consistent and the portions are generous so it's still a decent value. Staff is nice. (Edited to remove drive thru reference. Don't remember if this one has drive thru or not. )

This crap can't possibly be considered real Mexican food! The crap I ordered had so much oil and grease that I wanted to take it to Jiffy lube for an oil change! Oil and grease aside, it tasted like they were trying to get even for something. Do yourself and stomach a big favor, AVOID this dump. Hell, even Taco Bell is better than this dump. And I can't believe I'm saying that! If you decide to eat at this dump, bring plenty of Pepto with you, you'll need it!

If you're in search authentic mexican food, run don't walk AWAY from this place, garbage. My order: a torta, a Chilli Relleno meal, asada fries, and rolled tacos. 1. Torta - cold, chopped flavorless meat, chopped lettuce and salsa, soggy bread. No tomato, avo, sour cream. I ate half. 2. Chili Relleno - canned beans, bland rice, disgusting canned sauce.....all cold. I ate a bite of each. 3. Asada Fries - again, cold. Same flavorless chopped meat, and cheese. 4. Rolled Tacos - I love going to a Mexican food place and getting frozen rolled tacos. I bagged it, and left it on the ground outside. To be clear, the one star is attributed to the service, the food gets zero stars.

Delicious food for the right price. Salsa bar is meh, salsa very watery but great flavor. Parking is not the best so it's best to just get takeout.

Came to eat breakfast. We were in the mood of eating Menudo and we made a good selection of coming to Robertos in Reno, Nevada. My sister and i are from Texas and in Texas they make the Menudo with hominy and serve toasted bolillos with the menudo.. So were assuming in California and Nevada they dont make it with hominy seeing they serve an all meat menudo with corn tortillas. The menudo here was very, very good. It had great flavor and the spices were perfect. The customer service at Robertos was good, they spoke both English and Spanish which is great when serving the non english speaking customers.

Our "go to" place for rolled tacos (prefer the beef) and carne asada burritos in Reno. It's So Cal style and the best in region for that style. Haven't really tried much else there because those are the items we can't really get anywhere else like this and taste like the ones we had when we lived there.

There's fast food and there's the appearance of a fast food joint. This falls in the later. They are not fast. Again. They are not fast. You sacrifice speed for quality. I wouldn't know top shelf Mexican cuisine if it walked up and kicked me. I do know what I like. To me this is great food. It's also consistent food. I bet I've eaten here 70-80 times and each time I can rely on it being the same. I appreciate that. I first started coming here a few years back on my 2:00am lunch break. Open 24 hours is nice. Considering their location and the fact that the building is beat to hell, the place is clean. The menu is massive. Great choices and the prices range from $8 to $14. Portions are large making the price a better value. The crew is friendly and they provide top notch service. At least at 2am. I understand they are very busy during the day. I would pick an off time, like overnight, or deal with the wait. I think you'll agree it's well worth it. 09/21

OMG!! Save your money at this dive! The worst food and even worse staff. The food is salty and greasy, and the place is so dirty even the cockroaches don't go there. The male owner cooking or the female ringing your items up has the graciousness of a knat and could care less if you are there to make a purchase. I don't have one redeeming thing to say about this place. When we went there, I feared for my and my daughter's safety, and the clientele was sketchy too. I am concerned about the quality of the food because there doesn't seem to be a health department that patrols these kinds of restaurants. Therefore, Roberto's has carte blanch in losing the basic meaning of restaurant cleanliness, and food safety. The so-called refrigerated case for the condiments was so gross I told my daughter we would open up a jar of salsa at home. we are waiting for tomorrow to come and see if we get a food-born illness from this establishment. Again, I suggest you find another place to go for Mexican Food, and you'll be glad you did.

After a long day of work.... Then a drive to Reno, NV. No restaurants had updated their hours. My family and I had gone to 3 different casinos looking for food. Granted it was 12AM. But. This small city didn't used to sleep. Apparently it does now! Now to the food. Again, no other options meaning this was our last shot. I ordered the taco salad. Which I thought would have ground beef. It had more of a stewed beef. Which threw me for a loop! The nacho fries were standard. They were plentiful. But nothing too amazing. Just your standard fries and meat. I think it might've needed either more crema or more of something... it was just missing. The WOW. not bad. But not good. Just standard. Thank you Roberto's for being open! For a hungry guy like me. Thank you. It just doesn't hold over in a Reno hotel room.

Their website states they deliver, once I placed my order I called to confirm if they did and they stated they don't? Then why have that option on the website?! Now I have to wait for my money back... they really need to update the site and remove that ASAP!

I loved the carne asada tacos. The meat was top notch. Will come back again. I'm picky with the meat quality.
