Google
This place was absolutely amazing. I got the daily special haddock rueben and everything on it just worked. Definitely my favorite rueben I've ever had. The fried clams were also really good, and I'm told the lobster roll was delicious as well. I definitely recommend getting the Maine cheese curds as an appetizer, you won't be disappointed. Past the food itself, the service itself was also extremely good and the restaurant had an really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying this stop if you're in the area.

Google
Delicious oysters, our favorite were the unicorn variety- they had a great selection to choose from. The lobster roll was delicious! Fresh lobster, nice soft bread! The clam chowder was divine! We ordered one bowl to share and then ordered a second bowl to each have our own. It was seasoned so perfectly. The waitress was so friendly, and very helpful in her recommendations. We had a delicious drink called Apple crush- so delicious and smooth! Great experience here, lovely New England atmosphere.

Google
Went all in on the New England classic at Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery— lobster roll with mayo, a side of warm butter for dipping, & a few Bloody Marys to wash it down. Simple, rich, & perfect. Also pictured: the shrimp gambas & lobster cobb salad — both just as delicious as they look 🦞🍤

Google
The maine fried cheese were really good starters if you like cheese curds. The accompanying sauce was slightly acidic to balance the richness of the cheese. We had the whole steamed lobster which was good and grilled scallops as our mains. The grilled scallops were rich and decadent in the corn cream sauce while the lobster was luscious especially dipped in butter.

Google
Roberts is one of my must-visit spots whenever I’m in the area. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The view from the upper level is amazing, especially on a nice day. Some of my favorites are the raw oysters, lobster roll, lobster mac & cheese, and the fish & chips — all consistently delicious. It’s definitely worth the wait if there’s a crowd. The vibe is always great, relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Google
The wife wanted to have a Maine Lobster from Maine so we made it happen. The waitress, Savannah was extremely helpful with the menu and was great with the kids. I'm not sure we will be back in Maine but if we do return we will definitely make another stop here.

Google
Absolutely exceeded our expectations! I can recommend this place without any hesitation. Really great food. The kitchen made a dairy adjustment without any problems. Service by "Carter" was excellent. We left it to him to pick out our oysters and we're not disappointed. I look forward to eating here again.

Google
First time here. Got reservations for early dinner on Saturday. At 445pm there was plenty of seats available. Had the oysters and calamari for appetizers and they were delicious. For mains we got NY strip and Ribeye med rare with garlic herb butter. They were cooked to perfection. Added a crab cake and the breading and flavor were terrific and even had a small kick at the end. The Mac and cheese was worth fighting over. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Quick trip from NH

John W.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. We had the chance to compare lobsters from MS and ME. Maine lobsters definitely were tastier as well as a better value. Other notable menu choices included the fried calamari and cornbread (in fact we had two helpings!). Finally the blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream was a perfect way to end the meal. The service was top notch. Would recommend making a reservation since they do a steady business all day (the factory outlets are nearby).

Norma P.

Yelp
The food is outstanding especially the clam chowder. The ambience is not so great because when it is crowded, it is so noisy that is impossible to hear conversation at the table. I guess that is why everyone seems to be shouting!

Yelp
Returned after a good experience and not so great. We worked hard to overcome the appalling service we received on arrival from the older lady at the front. She handled their mistake like it was ours...they had the wrong reservation time from Resy. And anyhow she should be trained in customer service. We were so close to walking out. After that the food was lovely. Risotto and lobster club. The rest of the service was good, especially the lady bringing out our food who was on her 1st night. Nice selection of beers. Several reviews say resting on laurels and I'd be worried if it was my business.
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
Sadly, this place has been resting on it's laurels for far too long. The restaurant has seriously gone downhill. The staff lacks menu knowledge and is often rude...especially the host staff & bartenders. The food is overpriced & just OK. Roberts is lucky the restaurant is in such a busy location, because of it we're near any kind of real competition it would fold like a cheap suit. Go to the Weathervane and get your money's worth.

Yelp
Adrienne was a great server. My husband wasn't sure if he would like a particular beer on tap so she bought him a small sample as well as a taste of the mashed potatoes to see if they were to my husband's liking prior to placing his order. I ordered the grilled scallops served with corn, spinach, crispy potatoes, and a light bacon cream sauce. It was very good. My husband ordered the buttermilk chicken special served with mashed potatoes. The cutlet was thin and crisp. It was an enjoyable dinner. Give Robert's a try if you are in the area.
google avatar

Toni N.

Yelp
Food amazing! Our waitress awesome! Missing one star because of the way we saw the bartender treat the waitress when she asked for a drink remake. Not necessary.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Really cool spot! It had a casual relaxing vibe located on the water. We ordered a chocolate martini and brewed unsweet tea with The hot Lobster Roll buttered & Cole slaw. I ordered the Chicken scampi. The grilled chicken was great but the pasta was just ok. Hubby said the lobster roll was great but the Cole slaw was not good at all.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. The food was excellent. This salad was perfect. Crunchy, perfect dressing and the grill chicken was excellent. My husband ordered a hamburger, and he loved it. Beautiful setting, overlooking the ocean. Service was great too.
google avatar

Jayne H.

Yelp
My husband has a severe shellfish allergy, and it was my birthday, so I placed my order online. It was super easy and fast. I ordered the lobster cobb salad for me and a hot pastrami sandwich for him. We figured that since the lobster is already cooked and in a salad, he should be fine. I was able to customize my salad a bit - taking out onion and going light on the croutons. I really liked being able to customize it. I went to pick up my order at the appointed time and suddenly the windows downstairs were being flung open and a hostess propped open the front door. Apparently something burned in the kitchen - I jokingly texted my husband it was his sandwich haha. It was a short wait in line and the hostess was very attentive. The bar was near the hostess stand and the atmosphere was very nice. She came back with a large paper bag with handles and I peeked inside, then headed home. I was not disappointed. The salad was HUGE! Of course, I ate the lobster first - generous portion of that and it was cooked perfectly. I ended up finishing off the salad the next day because it was so big. My husband said his sandwich was amazing and the fries were crisp and very tasty. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Yelp
Robert's is officially our place to stop for a meal between Cape Elizabeth ME and home outside Boston. Coming home from vacation mid day we had lunch. Fresh oysters, shrimp cocktail were delicious and the cocktail sauce was home made good. The service is always with a smile and also with the kinds of details you are wondering about with the food and the decor. Sitting right on the water it is a lovely spot.

Yelp
Stopped on for dinner on a Friday and didn't have to wait. Got seated upstairs and it was probably less than 1/2 full. Very nice waitress but did feel like they were short staffed. Started with oysters and mussels then got dinner. The mussels tasted fabulous but honestly they were not hot, you had to mix them around so I feel like they just didn't have the staff to keep on top of everyone. The oysters were good too, tried a couple I hadn't had before. Ended up with fish & chips and s seafood newburgh no complains. Really enjoyed
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
We love Roberts. But we went today and ordered steamed clams. They were huge. We couldn't eat them. We won't order them again.
google avatar

Eunice B.

Yelp
I enjoyed a delightful birthday dinner here. The ambience is really lovely, especially given its location right off the highway and among a major outlet mall area. If you sit in the main dining room, you have a nice view of the pond our back. All of their food is sourced locally where possible, so it was really fresh and delicious. I appreciate that the menu is fairly simple, and I don't think you could go wrong. I enjoyed a few selections from the raw bar as well as the Seafood Newberg. Dessert was so delicious, I ordered one to go.

Yelp
When in Kittery, Maine, you MUST go to Robert's Maine Grill! This is a restaurant that I absolutely have to hit every time I go to Maine. Every time. You seriously will not regret it! The seafood is SO fresh here and every dish is literally amazing. I love getting the lobster Mac & cheese, sometimes the lobster risotto for an entree and for apps, the clam chowder for sure & mussels. I've been coming here since I was a kid and they just don't disappoint. It's very cold here in the summer though, so definitely bring a jacket or sweater if you get cold easily like me.
google avatar

Sally A.

Yelp
The restaurant is very nicely decorated, think coastal vibe, elegant and not kitshy. We were promptly seated and given menus. At 5pm on a Sunday they were out of lobster!!!!! That was shocking! They had dishes that had lobster pieces, but you couldn't order whole or tails. The onion rings look better than they taste, they're just average. The Cesar Brussel sprouts were quite good, but took getting used to the combination of a lot of Cesar dressing...I would other them again. The lobster roll was full, but for a roll I thought quite pricey. The Mac and cheese is made with real cheese, which an 8 year old wouldn't approve off, but adults who are into cheese appreciate. I had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent! Oh, and the corn bread is solid.

Yelp
Lots and lots of reviews about Roberts; it's an understandably very popular stop for many hungry visitors to Kittery. To briefly update our thoughts: we enjoyed a mostly happy dining experience last week highlighted by some of the best oysters we've had away from Prince Edward Island: fresh, succulent, briny. Really good. Not cheap ($42 per dozen). Another of our favorites, the crab cake ($20), was tasty as well. We ordered a lobster roll ($34) and were less happy; not a lot of lobster for the price. But the fried scallops $28) were delicious and just right with the crispness outside. We had a short wait for dinner in spite of our reservation, but we were quickly served and attended to by our server Brittany. There's a busy bar scene. In all we enjoyed our visit here. Reservations are essential.

Yelp
Stopped for dinner while in area visiting friends. Great location with a comfortable feel. Menu has a wide selection of food and the location has a full bar. Service was quick and friendly. The price is worth the quality and service. Due to the fact the restaurant is located in close proximity to the various shopping outlets, access to the restaurant and parking can be a challenge depending on day of the week and time of day.

Yelp
We usually drive up from Boston once or twice a year to Portsmouth and then lunch at RMG. I remember the last time being a bit disappointed but this time we were really disappointed. We both ordered crab and avocado sandwiches and they were basically bread sandwiches with a touch of crab and avocado. Why skimp??
google avatar

Lara F.

Yelp
My daughter and I drove into Kittery because we were on a road trip in New England and we wanted to have Maine lobster in Maine. Our greeting was not very nice but our server did turn out to be lovely. We got one lobster tail and one lobster roll so that we could share both. The lobster roll was very good. The lobster tail was not cooked right and tasted somewhere in between undercooked and in parts rubbery like it was overcooked. It was very odd as if we got the lobster that half of it was poking out of the top of the lobster pot. Pretty disappointing for someone who went specifically to Maine to have the incredible lobster.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
I was shocked how busy it was for a wintry Sunday. Tables full just about 45 mins after opening. Sat at the high tops next to the bar, I like my back support so the no back seats was uncomfortable. I'm not one to get steamers at a restaurant, but they cook these in beer and it had so much flavor I didn't need the butter so I skipped it. I also enjoyed the crab cakes. The steamers was a large portion to price id say. The crab cakes smaller for the price but tasty. Service was friendly but we didn't see our server too much. It is a nice local place. I love the decor and the atmosphere makes me feel at home because it is very much the Maine vibe.

Yelp
Do you have any idea how tricky it is to find a decent restaurant for anniversary that's open the day before Independence Day? I sure as hell didn't until recently. But after blowing through 2 reservations, Robert's Maine Grill proved to be "third time's the charm". Before I start, major props to RMG for allowing their patrons to book reservations via their website. This is how us introverts rock it in the 21st century. Okay, onto the review. Ostensibly placed right along the strip of Kittery (as I like to call it), this place has ample parking all around the house-like building. The interior immediately boasts a beach house feel which really gets patrons in the mood for casual summer fine dining. The menu has quite the range - from your typical New England fried seafood platters to more refined dishes such as the lobster risotto. I decided to embark upon the latter on this day whilst wifey got the lobster cobb salad. Before we get to those, however, we must first discuss their infamous lobster sliders. Despite the menu listing these in the plural and what some of the guests' photos might have you think, the price is PER slider. So, you just order the amount you want (1 per person is recommended) and add up the total. Much like the lobster rolls, these are available either hot or cold with warm butter or mayo, respectively. We like ours warm. Wifey and I each got one and it was heaven in biscuit form. We didn't even care that the biscuits inevitably crumble apart because everything tastes the same going down anyway. The lobster was tender and blended perfectly with the homemade buttery biscuits. The lettuce was a nice touch, too. I have zero critiques for this appetizer. 10 out of 10, would recommend! Wifey also informed me her cobb salad was equally excellent. She wasn't sure if ordering a salad as a main course on anniversary night would be adequate enough for the occasion. But I assured her that it was *her* day, too...and to just...go with her heart's desire. As for the lobster risotto, it was mostly superb! I wish the spinach had been chopped up a bit smaller so the stems wouldn't wrap around the fork like spaghetti, but that's a minor footnote. The risotto was saucy with a slight bite as it should be. And naturally, we don't need to go over how awesome the lobster was again. I will note that I appreciate the copious amount of lobster meat that is included with this dish in addition to the prominent half-lobster tail used to garnish the risotto. True, it comes in its shell. But the meat was nearly effortless to deshell. Oh, there was a slight sweetness to the sauce coating the risotto, but nothing too out of place. 9 out 10, overall. By the way, a little caveat for folks who end up dining on the second floor as we did: there's no restroom up there. Which means - you guessed it! If you have to use the facilities for any reason, you must painstakingly walk down the flight of stairs, locate the restroom, then walk back upstairs when all is said and done. Have to admit...I almost died laughing when wifey asked the waiter if the place had an elevator. XD Perhaps this was a mere oversight or possible inconsideration on the architect's part when designing this lovely establishment. Still, it would have been nice to include a second bathroom option for the folks upstairs. After all, there's evidently a TON of older folks who reside and vacation throughout the New England area as well. At the time of visiting, it didn't seem overly busy. But we wanted to book a res just in case there was some pre-4th of July rush or something. We DID notice an uptick in cars parked in lot after we left though. It seems the place really starts to pick up between 6-8pm. Much like any other popular restaurant, I suppose. The waterfront view is a nice touch as well. I wouldn't mind eating here during the peak of sunset one evening. We certainly plan on returning here in the future. Got my eyes on either the fried sea scallops or fish n' chips next. For now though, I'm giving Robert's Maine Grill 4 buttery lobster sliders on biscuits bursting at the seams out of 5.

Yelp
Ordered a lobster roll, half butter, half mayo! It was amazing. Fries were also good!

Yelp
We stopped for lunch before proceeding to our summer rental in Harpswell. Although is was around 2 p.m., the restaurant was still quite busy with the lunch crowd. We were fortunate to find two seats at the bar and there was Heather presiding over it and mixing perfect libations. A year had passed plus a few months since our last visit but it was as if it were only last week. The oyster menu has expanded and choices included many new selections. We started with the "baker's dozen" of oysters and were not disappointed. The Mohegan Cliffs were quickly a favorite. The oysters were, as I mentioned to Heather, perfectly shucked with nary a speck of shell in any of them. My wife had the shrimp scampi and I had a favorite, the haddock Reuben which was excellent on grilled, seeded rye. Both were very good, well seasoned. Robert's never disappoints. Great ambiance, service and of course the food is consistently top notch.
google avatar

Carmen R.

Yelp
Ordered two lobster rolls for me and the wife...I can't complain about the taste, the lobster tasted great and I liked that I could do a half butter half mayo roll. However, the fries were super soggy, and there was probably way under a pound of meat in each roll. For $65 I expected a little more to be fair. Both me and my wife are still hungry after eating them! Also, I subbed the fries for coleslaw and only got a quarter of a cup which should have just been included in the meal not as a substitute if they don't have enough to sub in the meal. Overall disappointed, which is a shame because I've gone in here before and had some really good food from a great staff and have had a nice time at the bar.
google avatar

Fred L.

Yelp
Don't go here on a peak day or time if you're seeking to have nice low volume conversation. This restaurant gets extremely loud weather sitting on the first floor or on the second floor. With that being said, I would strongly recommend the second floor for a better chance at a quiet conversation. We started out by ordering 10 shrimp in a cocktail style fashion for the table, and they were very crunchy and delicious. Although it's a small pet peeve, it would've been nice for them to have brought out more than one little plastic cup of cocktail sauce in order to satisfy 10 shrimp. Pricing is fairly reasonable at this location in the heart of the Kittery outlets, but don't be deceived by its location as the food is terrific.
google avatar

Linda G.

Yelp
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. We loved our lunch and it was not cheap. I got the seared scallop which came with spinach, squash and a very light cream sauce that was so yummy. So yummy. Big scallops and many of them. Sauce taste was the star here. After I ordered it my server said it was one of her favorites, too. Definitely recommend this dish. SO good. Hubby got the fish Reuben sandwich. He really liked it. Fried fish dressed up as a Reuben. Really very good. He raved about the Cole slaw, too. The lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu. It is a really really big place. The room is large, high ceilings, and it isn't a quiet romantic place, which is fine. There is a central bar, lots of hustling and bustling and a great ocean vibe. Like lots of people on vacation and shopping looking for a rest and a great meal. Service was great, food was great only gripe is that is was not economical. Fancy restaurant prices for a place that is not fancy. We would go back and we both would order same dishes. To me that is 5 stars.

Yelp
We were visiting from New York and had such a wonderful experience at Robert's Maine Grill and Raw Bar! Our server Carter was absolutely amazing friendly, attentive, and made our family feel so welcome. The food was incredible the pasta dishes were delicious and the lobster rolls were out of this world! Thank you, Carter, for making our visit so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Maine!

Yelp
Robert's Maine Grill is good for what it is: A high volume, high turnover, crowded (in summer at least) tourist pit stop for good food, decent service, and decent drinks. I guessed what I was in for when we stopped here for an early dinner on our drive back to Massachusetts from Northern Maine. My expectations were pretty low. And, they exceed them. I enjoyed my Lobster Roll (hot buttered | add clam chowder | sub onion rings for fries) very much *except* for the clam chowder, which was potato forward and largley clamless. My partner enjoyed her Classic Caesar Salad (add Grilled Salmon), too. The facilities are newer (or recently remodeled) and well maintained; things were relatively clean for a busy place; but they could use tables with adjstable feet. We and lots of folks near us were stuffing napkins, etc., trying to keep them from rocking. Neither one of us were impressed with our choices, but neither were we disappointed (except for the aforementioned potato-forward clam chowder). And it's location was convenient: Easy off/on I-95. We're not going to hurry to go back, but nor will we avoid Robert's.

Yelp
The atmosphere and service here are both great! The food was fresh and very tasty. This was our third visit here and we left satisfied again! The steamers were great! We loved everything we ordered!
google avatar

Sanchita G.

Yelp
I came here with my friend for dinner and it was so nice. It was honestly one of the best places I've been to for lobsters. I got the stuffed lobster which was absolutely amazing and it was my first time eating lobster and they even gave you a little bib and a utensils to help you with it in a bucket to put the pieces. we got the crabcakes and the oysters and the blueberry pie as well which were all amazing. The food was very high-quality and the service was really fast and the ambience of the place was super cool because it seemed like it was modern but also old-school.
google avatar

Yelp
It's losing points for me because of service, not for the food. I love their oysters. The last two times I've come to Robert's, I make a reservation, I'm seated, and then 15-20 minutes goes by, and not one server will even make eye contact with us. That's to say after 20 minutes, I have to get up, go to the front table and ask for a server to give us some attention. It's like this. It's the responsibility of whoever takes us to our table to tell the server that they've got a new customer. It takes an hour to get there, I'm not gonna wait another half hour just to get a drink. There's often two or three hostesses behind that little table up front, (doing what?) maybe they should learn the service side to make the restaurant better. Wake up, Robert's.
google avatar

Yelp
We were staying the night in lodging located down the road and shortly after checking in went looking for someplace to eat and saw this restaurant. After reviewing the menu, my wife ordered blackened salmon that came with rice and a vegetable. I requested what was billed on the menu as the best fish and chips in Maine that turned out to be a generous portion, but less flavorful than advertised.
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
Stopped into Robert's Maine Grill and Raw Bar and started with the clam chowder--it was light, creamy, and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked potatoes that added great texture. For my main, I went with the fish and chips and opted for the Cajun sweet potato fries. The fries were tasty, though I would've loved a bit more seasoning to bring out that Cajun kick. The fish itself was fresh, but the breading wasn't quite my favorite--just a personal preference. That said, I'd absolutely go back to try more from their menu. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it's clear they take pride in what they serve.

Yelp
This eatery just across the New Hampshire/Maine border was a nice surprise and the seafood plus appetizers were stellar! We started off with the deep fried battered cauliflower Buffalo style and the Fried Brussels Sprouts with parmesan cheese, Caesar dressing, bacon, and scallions. Both were very good! For entrees we had two orders of the roasted garlic penne in a creamy white sauce, cherry tomatoes and spinach and one was plain and the other we added lobster. The lobster Cobb salad was huge, must have and came loaded with lots of lobster plus romaine, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, egg, red onion, and blue cheese crumble with a nice vinaigrette dressing. The last dish was six huge grilled scallops with squash, spinach, crispy potatoes, and a bacon cream sauce. I'd highly recommend this spot if you go! We really enjoyed the service and our server was constantly checking up on us too! The inside resembled and old but remodeled boathouse with wood floors and boating decor all around.

Yelp
My family and I visited for dinner on a Tuesday night and we had no issues getting a table with a great view of the water out back. Not the ocean but a big pond. We began our meal with a house salad and an order of the crispy calamari. My daughter enjoy her oversized portion of the house salad before her meal. The calamari was cooked fresh and was not greasy. Nice size portion. Added some salt and pepper for our liking. Our main meal consisted of the lobster cobb salad, the Maine's best fish and chip, and the grilled salmon. My wife loved her lobster cobb salad. My daughter believed her salmon was very dry and the best part of her meal was the vegetable medley. My fish and chips were cooked fresh and served hot. Needed some salt and pepper for my liking. The service was very good and friendly. The prices were reasonable and there is plenty of parking in their private parking lot.

Yelp
Way downhill... We went for my son's high school graduation because he loves the chicken sandwich. We were told that the sandwich could no longer be made after 4:00 because of some arbitrary rules developed by the geniuses running the menu here (this is despite the fact that fried chicken and other sandwiches ARE on the dinner menu). There was no flexibility. They would not make it. We weren't jerks about it. We thought about doing a Jack Nicholson a la The Last Detail and ordering everything separately to be put together but decided against it. The waitress also told us you can no longer order a side salad... On top of it the service was really bad. It took forever to get drinks and order but then everything came out in rapid succession. Dirty dishes were not being bussed and new things were coming out fast - there was nowhere to put anything. We had a party of 7 so it was pretty big. I had a reservation but they weren't ready for us when we got there. I've been to Robert's dozens of times over the years and I think this was the last one.

Tyler G.

Yelp
Heather my server is always the best. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Vibes are always good.
google avatar

WD S.

Yelp
We were seated earlier than our reservation which was nice. My wife thought it was similar vibe to upscale Cracker Barrel but it was more seaside to me. Prices are a little high but we knew that going in. Lobster Mac had plenty of lobster and the grilled scallops are excellent. A really good meal with a decent wine selection.
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
Our server, Krista A, was phenomenal. She was attentive, detailed, and kind. The food was amazing and really hit the spot. Would absolutely return here. Was not that pricey for two seafood dishes right near the outlet. We paid $50 total (and then added tip) So grateful for such a great experience and amazing server.
google avatar

Chuck D.

Yelp
Came in today for a good lunch but was over charged $4 I didn't question the charge and as I was leaving I confirmed with the hostess that $32 was price for Lobster Roll but was charged $34 Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation she never called a manager over and just said well we're going to be increasing our prices and the Menu doesn't have the updated prices. Just really unprofessional older hostess who couldn't be bothered
google avatar

Amy Y.

Yelp
The food here is awesome, the views are lovely, and the service is fast and friendly. You do not feel like you are on the outlet strip in Kittery but inside on the shores of a small coastal town. We make a point of stopping here whenever we are in the area. It can get very busy, so secure a reservation if you know when you will be dining. The wait moves fast if you do not have one, so do not despair. The seafood is the shining star here, so if you love it, get it. There is plenty for those who are not seafood fans. The beer battered chicken tenders on the appetizer menu were amazing! Crispy and flavorful with tender chicken inside. We have been pleased with all our choices over the years. It is nice to have a restaurant where you know you cannot go wrong.

Yelp
Back to leave another review of Robert's! We come every year and always have a delicious meal. We ALWAYS go for the steamers... they never disappoint. The beef and garlic they are steamed in is sooo good. This time we also tried the lobster sliders. YUM! A good amount of lobster on a homemade biscuit. The biscuit is insanely delicious-- but a little dense/filling. After splitting an order of steamers and each having one slider, both of us were full. Ambiance is always the same-- clean, well lit, always busy regardless of the time of day. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, but didn't receive the type of service this time that we are used to... we barely saw our waitress. Regardless-- the food is always so good that even if the service lacks a little it is well worth the visit!

Yelp
Favorite spot for fresh oysters and strong drinks. Service is quick, prices are fair.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. We went, like many others, during the "lunch rush" and were greeted by a very unfriendly hostess. The restaurant was busy but not insane and like many others we had children (well behaved mind you) who had been out shopping. We were told it was over a 30 minute wait, which is wasn't. We said we would wait and she seemed annoyed that we agreed to stay on the list and said "there are other 10 parties ahead of you". I said fine and asked to be put on the list. Maybe 15 minutes later, we get the text. We are seated upstairs which is empty, which is fine as I'm assuming they have a lack of staff. We are not visited by our server for about 15 minutes so I guess it really was a 30 minute wait. He seems absolutely shocked to see us so clearly the hostess never told him she sat his section. We order all at once to keep it simple. The ambiance is very cute, nautical and quintessential Maine which is what you want in a tourist location, however, the food was very blah. My son got the kids Mac and cheese and it was basically inedible. I don't know how one messes that up but it was gross, agreed to by myself and my daughter. After the server very honestly acknowledged he didn't love the crab and avocado melt when I inquired, I landed on the lobster roll and it was completely flavorless, the lobster clearly was frozen and not fresh. Very disappointing. Our server ran by to check on us, at which point we were almost done and didn't return. We had to flag down a runner to ask for our bill. There aren't a ton of "nicer" options in the area but would surely not return.

Yelp
We had a terrible experience here a couple of weeks ago. When we sat down upstairs there were about 5 flies on the window. We were swatting them away but when the food came, there were more flies and they were literally dive bombing the food and landing on our heads. The guy at next table killed two that we saw. We asked to pack Up the food. Don't know why as we threw it out as soon as we got home. Making the experience worse was the woman who came to explain that they had opened windows that day and flies got in. She just kept repeating this story but it didn't make up for a ruined meal. She took the check and returned with it. Took 25% off! Should have apologized and comped the bill. We barely ate our meals before having to leave. No response to follow-up call or two emails. Terrible customer service. Will never go back.

Yelp
One of my favorite meeting spots with family and friends! The word is out so be sure to book a reservation online before heading to RMG. As a Mainer I use this as a meeting spot for my MA family. The lot is spacious so plenty of parking and the food and service is stellar. This Cobb salad caught my eye on the menu and with fresh lobster meat chucks ontop... it did not disappoint! I would give RMG 10 stars if that was an option.

Yelp
The Seafood Newburg is excellent. It is my go to for seafood there. My sister enjoyed one of their steaks

Yelp
Service is was mediocre at best. We visited the bar while waiting for our table. Bar service was slow, the bartender rang up the wrong check on my card. Once we finally got seated, we got the outdoor table we requested but our waitress acted as if she was barely interested in being there. Our Appetizer was overcooked and the Food took way too long to arrive at the table. The table next to us sat down 15 min after us but had eaten and paid before our food even made it to the table. Once the food got here, it was good, but the overall unacceptable level of service doesn't make me want to return.
