Sample From Southern Maryland’s Rising Crop of Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries | Eater DC

"The Robin Hill plot has been a farm since 1829, and owner Susan Watson-White’s family has been working it since 1955. As part of a settlement funded by the state, the owners stopped growing that cash crop and used the government funds to turn their attention to grapes. Watson-White, a “Miss Maryland Tobacco Queen” in 1985, serves wines that have won more than 50 medals in various competitions in the past few years, including an award for Maryland Winery of the Year in 2019 in the New York International Wine Competition. Before taking a seat on the tasting room’s expansive porch, ask to see the bottling room and kegs of rare port. Then try the Pi’Goat Blanc, a sweet rosé with hints of strawberries and cherries."

The wine was amazing with so many options. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating on a peak Saturday afternoon for a huge group. The Mexican food truck was AMAZING, and we really enjoyed the live music. The service was really nice too. It was my first solo outing with my baby, and we just felt so welcomed. 10/10 worth the drive from northern VA!

Beautiful property, wonderful live music, great wine selection (locally made), & an amazing family-owned business. I'll definitely be back soon!

Take a step back in time as you enjoy the beautiful farm scenery. Robin Hill Winery is the place to spend your weekend. We enjoyed a bottle of Heritage red wine. Their wines are award winning. We sat outside enjoying the sound of country music playing in the pavilion and the view of the vineyard. The atmosphere is so peaceful. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Bob stopped by our table to check in and to see if we were enjoying ourselves. We brought a tablecloth and some snacks to enjoy with the wine. It was such a lovely afternoon.

Today, we went to Robin Hill Farm and Vineyards for the first time during a picture perfect October Sunday afternoon. Leaves are just starting to change and they had an absolutely phenomenal duo, Nightcap, with a guitarist and a singer who played the most epic ballads from the past several decades. They truly set the vibe and provided the backdrop for a spectacularly chill wine tasting opportunity. It was cool to learn the history of the farm that has been open since 1955. Interestingly, they have evolved with times and transitioned from an agricultural history of tobacco, hogs, nursery, pumpkins, agritourism, and now an award winning vineyard. My husband and I got started with personalized flights selected according to our tastes— he prefers a dry red and I prefer for a semi sweet red— at least for today.😃 For about $18, they provide generous pours of 2 ounces per selection of four wines. They throw in complementary oyster crackers to neutralize your pallet in between sips. After the self-guided tasting, we purchased a glass of red and their harvest-themed caramel apple cider wine sangria that same with a crisp apple slice garnish. Before coming, I read that they were dog friendly, and they certainly were as we brought our two Yorkies to hang out with us for the day. We will definitely will be back on a weekend soon when they have live music, which certainly added to the ambience in the fun factor. The crowd was a diverse one with groups of ladies sitting down to catch up, an Instagram duo and solo sippers camped out at nearby tables . A customer worked on her laptop quietly in the corner and large groups of families and friends laughed over assorted bottles and tinkling glasses. What an easy way to celebrate the day! We will definitely be back. ****My only recommendation is that Robin Hill considers offering offer flights of four OR six tastings.****

Robin Hill is a true gem in PG County! The rose is one of the best I have ever tasted! I made sure to purchase a bottle to enjoy at home:) I'm not a fan of frozen drinks but the Wine-a-Rita was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. The grounds are so beautiful and the staff is very warm and welcoming. My friends and I sat on the porch and listened to the awesome cover band that performed that day. It was so comfortable, it felt like we were chilling at a neighbors house. There was a food truck on-site but you are also permitted to bring in food and enjoy on the grounds. The wine menu is also reasonably priced. Looking forward to the weather warming up, as I intend to visit Robin Hill multiple times over the next few months. Check it out, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful place, friendly people to help pick good wines to try! We came up from Arkansas visiting and absolutely loved visiting here and the wine is excellent!!!! Great place for many occasions.

Google
You'll find wine to fit most palates, dry and sweet. There's even wine slushies for the really hot summer days. They have live, local music that you can enjoy from the shade of the porch with fans. This is a great visit for a friend and family outing. Kids and dogs can enjoy fresh air and green grass. Adults can enjoy affordable, great wine. No wonder this is a popular wedding venue. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few proposals here too.

Yelp
We went this past weekend- the weather was PERFECT! I think people are still easing into winery season, because it wasn't crowded at all. We had an entire covered section to ourselves for a party of ~15. I arrived at 12:55 and we stayed until closing. Thoroughly enjoyed the slushies and a few people got bottles as well. I thought there might be a few more non-alcoholic options for my pregnant friend, but she still had a good time!

Yelp
Okay, this is a cute place! I went for my cousin's wine tasting birthday event. I don't drink but I wanted to check the place out and hang out. Overall, the staff members were really friendly and accommodating. It's very picturesque. There's even a place for barn weddings. Theres an enclosed space where you can hang out on the patio and listen to the live music. I didn't particularly go for the food so I didn't eat anything there. They did have two food trucks but it didn't seem like there was much for me to eat there. The wine tasting set up was lovely. They have many wines to choose from. They also have sparkling ciders for those who can't or dont drink. They accommodated us bringing in a cake. They gave us a knife and paper plates. The gift shop is small and cute. The bathrooms are clean! They also have animals there although you can't pet them.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to host a fall winery Saturday funday with our friends and this was the final stop on our tour. It was easy to contact the vineyard via email and coordinate our large group's visit. This venue was pretty large and had a lot of seating which I didn't even expect from just looking at the pictures online. The indoor seating was very cozy but we decided to chill on the patio near the headlamps so we could enjoy the landscape. I love how they did their wine tasting. The had everything packaged and labeled into super convenient kits. The 12 samples were good hearty pours and included oyster crackers. We also ordered all of their specials - Frozen apple wine cider slushy, wine infused hot chocolate, apple cider mimosa & the hot mulled wine. Our crew loved the mimosas and slushy the most. We had several rounds! We had such a great time with our crew and the staff was so friendly that we ended up staying till the vineyard closed! It was a great end to our vineyard hopping Saturday funday!

Yelp
This is the second vineyard i've ever been to and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They have an assortment of attractions and a great outdoors environment which made me feel welcomed. There's not only a ton of different wines and drinks to try/taste, there's also snacks to eat along with your wine and a food truck. Even though this is a vineyard, it is very family friendly with live music, open fields and different activities for everyone to enjoy of all ages. I love that this vineyard is near my house so whenever the weather breaks, I have a place I can go and hangout for the day and relax with a few glasses of wine if I choose to. Which would be rare but that's not the point. This is an awesome place and so recommend it for any kind of family events, there was a graduation party here for God's sake. Seating is first come first serve, so I recommend trying to get there as early as possible so you can get choice seating. Also, I love how the wine tasting is presented in half an egg carton.

Yelp
This was an amazing experience! Beautiful outdoor seating, and the staff was very friendly. Great customer service. The wine kit was $15 for the twelve wines. We also tried the sweet wine kit. This was a very different idea and I like it! It comes with a sheet that explains the wines, what the ingredients are, and what foods they're best paired with. You choose the ones you like and purchase the glass or bottle. On the day that we went, there was a good truck there (Aunt Titty's). Yes, you read it right. The story behind the name goes back to a woman's battle with breast cancer. The food was good. Simple fare but very good. The chicken wings come with various sauces. I tried the Jack Daniel's sauce, and it was a combination of sweet and spicy. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!!!

Yelp
I learned of Robin Hill in 2020. My first visit was in November 2020 with some friends. Now, I've been several times and really enjoy the winery. It's located in Prince George's County in Brandywine. They are only open on the weekends from 12-6. They usually have food trucks on the property. They have a variety of wines and the frose makes a nice touch in the summer. This is a great place for a picnic as you can bring you own food. I love the swing they have in front of the porch. Parking is plentiful. When it rains or is cold, the porch is heated and they can put a cover on it. My only complaints is that the music is usually rock and roll. They need some genres of music to include r&b , jazz or reggae night. It's also only one restroom. I'll be back several times this summer!

Yelp
Love this winery!! They have food trucks, goats, benches and lawn area to sit, chill, sip,and enjoy the vibes! You can even pay around $20 to sample a bunch of the different red and white wines they offer to see which one you like best! The wine slushies were okay. I wish the music was better and then it would really be a vibe!

Yelp
Pretty chill, remote spot in the middle of Maryland farmland. I was invited to spend the day with work colleagues and found Robin Hill to be beautiful, well maintained acreage with friendly and well informed staff and plenty of parking for it's varied guests and activities. I wouldn't call myself a wine connoisseur, but the wines on offer seemed to be appropriately priced and were popular with our group. Among the positives were: Free WiFi as cellphones can struggle to receive a signal at this remote location Well maintained grounds...green as far as the eye can see. Quality food options...essential with all of the alcohol on hand. Attentive staff always making sure that guests are enjoying their time and that random trash is not floating around. Live music all day that is varied enough to keep things interesting and not so loud that conversations with your group are difficult. A note for guests, there are two entrances, one with a large sign, and the second with a smaller sign (which my GPS directed me to). So, if you miss one, there is another. A few notes for Robin Hill staff for potential improvements: As this is a remote location, every cell phone provider will lose signal as you get close to the Robin Hill location. This could potentially leave you without directions in the last couple of miles of the trip where there are a few turns that will get you there...or not. It would be a good idea to warn people on the website of that possibility. On parking, there is plenty of it, but some signs as to where to park and where to not park are confusing. Maybe adding some staff parking only signs in certain areas would help to avoid any unintentional parking conflicts. Lastly, I suggest beefing up the Yelp presence and tying it in better with your website. Everyone should check it out if they want to have a relaxed and fun get together with friends or family or both!

Yelp
Mount Airy, Poolesville and VA aren't the only areas with wineries! Brandywine has been on the come up for a while now, and I think it's only going to get better from here! I've been two years in a row around this time -- though, last year was definitely no way as cold. Overall, they offer wine tastings -- either individually or sets -- and you can buy bottles to drink there and bring your own food. If you don't bring your own food there's usually a food truck to make purchases from. If you're lucky the weather is nice enough for the live music to be outside, and that the goats will be wandering around in their fenced area for petting. If the weather isn't as pleasant, the music moves to a covered area. It's always been such a pleasant experience! Robin Hill's wine choices are quite abundant, with plenty of options ranging from the drys to the sweets for both reds and whites. I personally haven't found a wine from there that I LOVE, but that's just my personal tastes. It's an awesome winery, and I recommend everyone to give them a visit. I find their prices quite reasonable too.

Yelp
What took me so long to get there?! I've had them on my winery/vineyard tour list forever!! Yesterday was my first time visiting this family-owned winery and farm and it was amazing. First of all, it was a 55-degree day in November! Who won't enjoy that?! The place is huge! That was not something I was expecting at all! They have signs for the wedding barn! It's definitely gorgeous for a wedding! My friend and I were warmly greeted. There's plenty of parking. They have outdoor seats as well as a covered and heated patio that wraps around! With this, they're able to be open year-round! By the way, they're only open on weekends. They had live music and a food truck. Yesterday's truck was a bbq truck and they were amazing. I was craving bbq so this was perfect! They have some snacks available for purchase. The staff here are all very engaging and friendly. We had a great time chatting with Susanne and Rob! Learned that they can ship their wines to 38 states!! Now onto the wine! They have a variety! They offer pre-made tastings (13 for $15). Not bad at all. My favorite wine was the Pier Pleasures, a red wine. The bottle prices are very fair! I also enjoyed the mango/peach slushie. I had heard about these slushies and so glad I got to try it for myself. Also loved their sangria! This was a Sunday Funday well spent! I can't wait to come back. I definitely recommend checking out this local winery - you won't be disappointed! Be sure to follow their social media for updates!

Yelp
Okay Gorgeous Prince George's, you've been holding out on me...a cute family owned vineyard and farm right here in my very own backyard? And in BrandyWINE, no less. I mean, wine is in the city's name. It's a no brainer to give it a try! I've heard about this spot, but never visited. I finally tried out Robin Hill Farm and Vineyard for a little wine tasting and chill time with the ladies and we had a wonderful time! If you're planning to visit, a few things I learned on my visit to bring and or think about prior to coming: 1.Bring a seat cushion because if you're staying for a lengthy timeframe and you don't plan on bringing your own chair or not being seated at one of the covered decks - the picnic tables will have your rumps feeling some type of way! It's the next day, and mine is still suffering. 2. Wear and bring some bug repellent and if citronella candles are allowed, bring those too! (Check their list of things you can and cannot bring) The flies are relentless! 3. You have to walk through gravel to get from the car to the winery and you'll be on the grass for the most part, so plan your footwear accordingly. When we arrived, we went to the main building and informed the staff we were doing a tasting. The tasting consisted of 12 different wines, a glass, and a small bag of oyster crackers. They offered us an additional 3 summer wines, so in total each person had a total of 15 wines for the tasting. Cleverly, they were placed in small plastic cups with lids and labeled with a description sheet. Those wines were all placed in a small egg carton. Check out my pics for all that cuteness! Not sure about the prices for the tasting because I didn't pay for mine, but I do know the actual bottles of wine are a bit pricey....but delish, nonetheless. All of the staff we encountered were very cheerful and eager to assist! I must say, I was rather impressed! The wines were really delicious! My personal favorites were Blueberry Thrill, Hogs Head, and Home Sweet Home. You can purchase bottles to drink onsite or to take home, wine slushies are available, and other nibbles can be purchased. They also have a food truck, Aunt Titty's on-site that day. Yeah, you read that name right. I can't vouch for any of the food onsite because we brought our own spread, but a steady flow of people were purchasing food from the food truck. They even had live music being played this day, Kevin Lee. He was great!!! All this fun and great wine right in our own backyard. We made an entire day of this relaxing fun filled winery and enjoyed every moment of it! Looking for a great winery that you don't have to travel 3 hours to get to, give Robin Hill a try. It will NOT disappoint!

Yelp
This place is amazing! I came here for my birthday last year and I have always come back. The outside and inside of the building are clean and the staff is very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. If you ever go please get the wine kit and the cheese plate.

Yelp
Overall, I'd say this Robin Hill should be a 3.5; I'll round up to 4 since a 3 is too low. I visited with a friend on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00pm. We immediately noticed how huge the winery and property is. They have a large vineyard on the property, a main building with a large porch with seating, a second covered porch with seating, and 2 large open areas with picnic tables. Love all the views and seating options. The winery was BUSY; despite the plethora of options, most of the tables were full. We also noted that the vibe was very upbeat, not the usually relaxed feel of other wineries we've been to. The Robin Hill live music was nice; other visitors also brought speakers to play music. There were also a number of birthday parties which got a little lively at times. I thought the upbeat vibe was fun, but we definitely moved tables a time or two to get away from some of the guests who were being a bit rowdy. The vibe settled down around 5pm after some of the party guests headed out -- much more relaxing towards closing time. To start, we tried the wine tasting kit: 12 wines to taste, crackers, and a nice Robin Hill wine glass (to keep) for $15. A great deal! I'm not a fan of many dry wines, but the dry red options were nice; I could envision myself having one with with BBQ or steak. The other wines were just okay - wasn't overly impressed by the sweet reds or whites. After the tastings we tried the the wine slushies and the sangria, now these were GOOD! For $9, we got about 12 oz of slushie and sangria which were perfectly refreshing on a warm day. We ended up getting two round of drinks because they were so good. Overall, a good afternoon at the winery; I would come back preferably with a larger group to help feed into that upbeat, social vibe. If you check it out, do yourself a favor and get the sangria!

Yelp
Robin Hill was a 10/10 experience. The first vineyard we arrived at, which we had been to before, had some disappointing news. Unfortunately, their truck had to cancel and that was a bummer because my mom and I were starving. The workers mentioned going down the road to another vineyard for food that we could bring back to their vineyard...yep you read that right. Well, when my mom and I arrived to Robin Hill we were very impressed, so there was no need for us to leave lol. Robin Hill is a larger winery, plenty of seating for folks, super cozy even on that hot summer day. We purchased a $15 wine tasting cart, all we delicious, then we ordered a bottle to share. The food truck food was also very good and there was band onsite. It was such a vibe. I know I won't be able to visit again until next Spring and I can't wait.

Yelp
My visit resulted in a great afternoon hanging out at a real vineyard in Maryland! Beautiful farm state growing both white and red grape varieties, and making multiple wines for every taste . I did go through a somewhat strange wine tasting out of tiny cups (I was told it was due to COVID-19 precautions) but found the experience underwhelming since all the wines were at best, lukewarm. , and ended up not buying any of the wines (maybe a return to pre-covid wine tastings (glass, pours, etc) will help me to find the wines more appealing... I was the first to go in when they opened at noon, and took pictures before it was absolutely mobbed! I can see why it is very popular!

Yelp
First time at Robin Hill winery, and I must say it will not be my last . I came to the winery to celebrate my birthday with a few friends and family and we had an amazing time. The customer service was top-notch. The wine was great, and they even had Calvert crabs food truck available for food. Due to a rainy day, there was not many people at the winery, which in my favor was great. I was able to have the indoor tasting room to celebrate. The vibe was just amazing! I highly recommend this Vineyard and will definitely be returning in the spring.

Yelp
Thanks to COVID, it seems everyone is trying to find things to do outdoors while we still have a little bit of good weather. One Saturday afternoon, some friends and I decided to visit Robin Hill. Actually, Robin Hill wasn't our first choice of winery that day but the other place we visited was packed and parking was pretty much impossible. Not wanting to throw our day away, a friend suggested Robin Hill which was pretty much up the street from the winery we attempted to go to. Robin Hill has a good amount of space for parking and I found out that it's actually a popular wedding venue. The grounds were spacious and there were many tables scattered around. When we checked in, we were asked if we had a reservation which we did not. They require reservations but they were accommodating and allowed us to stay. We only had to sit at one of the tables that was out on the grass. No problem. My friends and I ended up doing the fruit wine tasting and getting wine slushies. We also partook in the taco truck that was onsite that day. It was a great day despite the off/on drizzly rain. Robin Hill seems to be a popular spot for celebrations as well. There were a few groups celebrating birthdays that day. We ended up purchasing bottles of wine to go before we left and I can't wait to crack mine open. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Today's "Sunday FUNday" was just what I needed to unwind from a fun, long weekend. It was a good day to be outdoors and enjoy the crisp, fall weather. There's wine sold by the bottle, wine sample kits, mulled wine, sangria, and slushy booze...all of which can be taken "TO GO"! Reminder/FYI: Your 2020 MD Wine Pass can be used to score a free wine kit (wine kit purchase required)! There's also live music, a food truck (varies according to date/event) and winery merchandise for purchase every weekend. Leashed pets are welcome. __ IG: @f.hux Keep reading... https://linktr.ee/f.hux #foodieHUX #yelpelite #yelpeatsdc #yelpdc

Wonderful wine. Great service. Highly recommend the tour. Reasonably priced. Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
I do not recommend it for a wedding venue especially if you have handicap folks attending. The bathrooms were not accommodating on a rainy day especially for the handicap. When asked if the port-o-potty could be relocated closer to the barn I was told yes but this never happened, even after asking a second and third time the day of the wedding. Very disappointing to have watch the grandmother and elderly aunt of the bride (both in a wheelchairs) have to navigate in pouring rain across pea gravel to use the facilities. Definitely not worth the amount that pay for a barn.
google avatar

Chris O.

Yelp
Nice place. I covered a wedding here the barn was really nice. Amazing view of different barns and landscape. The wedding barn have many ways you can custom it. These images were taken with my cell phone. The wedding results will not shared but samples are on my website. Also the ground is uneven in many places and if you drive fast, your car will not stay clean.

Yelp
Beautiful property, unremarkable wine. Of all the ones we tried during the tasting, the Legacy and Home Sweet Home we're the only bottles that I found remotely palatable. Even so, they weren't palatable enough for us to hang out in the beautiful tasting room and enjoy a glass. In addition to light snacks being offered, the winery also invites a food truck onto the property, for those craving something a little hartier than just crackers and cheese. In addition to snacks, the winery also sells apparel, including t-shirts and even a wine coloring book. Never to early to prepare the kids for an introduction to the ways of the grape!

Yelp
Great wines We only had the dry ones Clean Handicap accessible Organized Owners. Very engaged Good live music Food truck was very good Pier pleasures was delicious

Yelp
This place never disappoints. It's such a lovely venue for an afternoon picnic with wine. Bring your own food or enjoy one of the popular food trucks. The frozen sangria is the best way to cool down on a hot summer afternoon, while listening to the band play from noon until 6pm. The wines are delightful and the atmosphere is second to none.
google avatar

Honey B.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Due to COVID, they are using a reservation system. Make sure to set your reservation at least a week in advance. The tickets on eventbrite tend to sell out very quickly! Susan is extremely accommodating and professional. I've spoken to her on at least 3 occasions, and she has always been very cordial and mannerly. They offer live music from 2:30-4pm and 4:30-6pm. We both ordered a wine tasting kit: 12 of their wines placed in an egg crate 1 pack of oyster crackers (to cleanse your pallet) & Your very own wine glass. I decided to buy a sangria, and I also snagged bottle of their Home Sweet Home, as it was velvety and had a lot of body. (The sangria was BOMB) They have an instructional video on their website and they offer tips for Winery/Vineyard Newbie's. In my opinion, this is the perfect vineyard to get those Winery training wheels off. They also have tons of parking space for the most crowded of days (People were celebrating a birthday party when we attended). The only bad thing I have to say is about the Dona Tona Food Truck. Don't patronize the Food Truck! TRUST ME. It was absolutely the worst food I ever put in my mouth. This review would have been 5 stars! I absolutely adore this vineyard. Remember to Bring Your Own Food and Water!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Why does this place have so few reviews? I visited yesterday and it was packed! Even with the number of visitors, customer service was great and the place was large enough to fit everyone comfortably. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I can't speak to the quality, only the taste. I ordered their peach mango strawberry wine slushy which was delicious!! Also did a wine tasting with 9 different wines. They were a variety of red, wine, dry, slightly sweet and even spicy. I preferred the sweet wine with a combination of chocolate and blueberry. I think it was called home sweet home. This is a great place to visit not too far away from the DMV. TIP: dogs are allowed if they are on a leash.

Yelp
This was such a lovely destination for a Christmassy Saturday. Being my first time at a winery, I had no idea what to expect. The tasting was great and we got a lot of history and explanations behind labels and names, which was interesting to hear. The ambiance inside and on the porch was very festive and the live music and food truck were very nice touches. Although we missed the food trucks last call, we were able to order a kind of DIY cheese board from the winery that included an entire box of crackers, 2 blocks of cheese (smoked and pepper jack) and a board and knives to put it all together. The cheese was local amish stuff and worth every penny. I'd 100% recommend going for a full tasting if you're in the area. The October glory is a fantastic red and the fruit wines are a fun alternative. Also, the staff is so welcoming and friendly it just adds to the experience.

Yelp
Our wedding at Robin Hill couldn't have gone any better. Susan was always on top of things and keeping track of all the important details, both leading up to the day and on the day itself. Very easy to work with her and with the venue -- they were very flexible when we had to change our date (twice) due to COVID, and even accommodated our rehearsal dinner at the last minute. Beautiful venue with a reasonable price point, lots of outdoor space, great wine selections -- we couldn't have picked a better spot for our wedding!

Yelp
Really great experience today at Robin Hill. Because of the cold weather we left the dog at home and went inside the tasting room. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they have arranged a "do it yourself" tasting kit that lets you taste all 12 wines while seated in the tasting room (I believe poured tastings are not permitted with COVID). We had a glass after the tasting and then bought bottles to go. Plan to come back in the warmer weather so we can take advantage of their expansive and beautiful lawns!

Yelp
My first time at Robin Hill. I didn't even know this place existed, but a friend suggested we give it a try and I'm glad we did. We started out in the tasting room. I believe it cost $12 to try all 9 of the wines - not too bad. We decided on Red Barn and Bliss and grabbed a table on the porch. There was a food truck onsite - Myra's Cajun Cuisine (hope I got that right!). My wife got a catfish Po' boy and my friend got a half dozen fried oysters. Great job on the food Myra! We also got a meat and cheese plate, offered by the winery, for $20. Not a bad price for what you get - a salami, a block of cheese, and 2 types of crackers - all decent quality. They had live music and a great vibe throughout. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. The grounds and buildings were beautiful with plenty of parking. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Amazing vineyard!! Came here by accident as another vineyard was closed and road signs pointed us here. I'm glad that I found this place. Upon arrival your greeted by beautiful rolling hills of vines. Parking sits off the right of the vines besides the nice tasting room. You could clearly tell the tasting room was relatively new and decorated very nicely. I believe the employee mentioned this vineyard is less than a year old. The wines here steal the show. Robin Hill offers a standout selection of sweet and dry wines named after relatives who own the farm. My favorite wine is bliss a semi sweet white wine that is extremely versatile. Overall Robin Hill is amazing vineyard with amazing wine and excellent customer service. I would definitely return!!!

Yelp
I'm in love! This is the cutest place and so peaceful. My friend and I had the pleasure of doing a tasting with the wine maker, Bob. He was very nice, provided so much info, and answered all of our questions. We learned where the name of the farm came from and the stories behind the labels. The wines were amazing! This is the first tasting that I've been to where I actually enjoyed pretty much all of the wines. Loved, loved, loved the sangria! For the first time ever, I enjoyed a desert wine...actually, I think it may be my favorite one. They also have slushees, they were good, but I prefer the sangria. They don't provide food at the farm itself but I believe they have a food truck(s) every Saturday. There's plenty of seating so no need to bring your chairs. Can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
Love that pretty much all the employees are family or have married into the family and work there. Our girl giving us the tasting was awesome! Atmosphere was perfect, I didn't want to leave. Wine is great too!!! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday at Robin Hill Vineyard. It was my first visit but I will be back for many more. I am so happy to find a local winery in MD. The staff was great, wine was tasty and there is a food truck onsite. I love the reservation system to reserve a table. There is plenty of space so that everyone can be social distant. Dogs and kids are welcomed! Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
We had a horrible experience at Robin Hill Farm and Vineyard. It started out as a really enjoyable time until our group was approached by a staff person. First of all, we were a group of 11 African American adults enjoying a tasting. Two people in our group brought additional bottles of wine to take home, so we spent a good deal of money there. As friends do, we were all laughing and talking. The staffer walked over to us and asked us to quiet down because they have a tin roof and our voices carried. Then she proceeded to ask us if we wanted anything else. The tasting room was not crowded. One group was enthusiastically enjoying a game of Jenga (which can be loud) and another group (the group closest to us) asked if we'd watch their bags while they stepped outside to take photos. Clearly, we weren't bothering either of those groups. Her request made us feel uncomfortable and it was quite disturbing. It should be expected in a place where alcohol is sold that people might get a little loud. It should actually be encouraged. One member of the party got up and left immediately. The rest of us packed up our belongings and left. One friend went to the staff person who brought the complaint and explained how disrespected we felt and that none of us would EVER return to their establishment again. She tried to say that they'd received a complaint from others, but as I said, it wasn't crowded. The staff of Robin Hill need to show some respect to all of their guests and think twice about how they treat paying customers. This was very disheartening and disappointing. Stay away if you're trying to have a good time with friends! They'll never see another dime of my money. Update- In response to the Robin Hill feedback. Our group was reasonable and we would completely understand the request, but the whole thing seemed disingenuous. The staff person first told us that we needed to keep our voices down because of the tin roof. When my friend approached her and told her it was because of "customer complaints". Two totally different reasons for the request. Whether Robin Hill Farm and Vineyard understands the embarrassment and the optics of their actions is besides the point. All I know for sure is that I nor any of my friends will EVER visit the Vineyard again. We were having an awesome day and we were very excited to visit a vineyard so close to home. It was extremely troublesome and put a damper on that part of the day.

Yelp
My girls and I were looking for a nice winery nearby and ran across this gem with great reviews and nice views. So glad we did! The atmosphere was truly amazing. Live music, great crowd, and the staff? PHENOMENAL! I loved that it was family owned, grandma was even behind the bar starting conversations and sharing a smile. We had the pleasure of having Shelby for our tasting. She really knew her stuff. She explained everything so throughly, and had a story behind every wine and design of the bottle. The tastings I've been to never went that in depth so I really appreciated it. We loved ALL of the wines I mean seriously they were so good! We ended up buying the bliss there and to go. After the tasting we sat and listened to the live music & sipped our new wine until our tour began with Susan, she was great too! She showed us the old Tabacoo room and where the wine is made. Sharing all the family history, it was great! We got to take a wine glass home too! I really enjoyed my genuine experience here and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is such a cute little quaint place located on a farm. We had the pleasure of Bob the wine maker hosting our tasting. He explained that it is a family run business and that even the labels were drawn by the family. I appreciated that although the majority of their wines would be considered dry they still possessed a lot of flavor while being very mellow and subtle fruit notes in everyone. The sangria was delicious and I have finally found my dessert wine here. It is rich and flavorful but not overbearing. Will be back, this is a hidden treasure. Lastly, I like that you do not have to worry about bringing a blanket or chair as their is plenty of seating both inside and out. The cutest place!

Yelp
Absolutely love Robin Hill...everyone is so friendly and the wine is top notch! Love how they plug into the community with a lot of fun events and support small businesses. Definitely check them out next time you're in town, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Robin Hill Farm and Vineyards made our dream of a rustic barn wedding come to life. We stumbled across this gem and instantly fell in love after receiving a tour from Susan. We decided right then and there (without having seen any other venues) to have our wedding there. Susan is amazing! She is very down to earth, knows the property inside and out, and was extremely helpful in the planning and execution of our wedding. Your wedding day goes by so fast and craziness is always bound to happen, but Susan was there every step of the way to make sure things were seamless. I highly recommend Robin Hill Farm and Vineyards.

Yelp
This winery has a very cute, cozy , inviting & relaxing setup. Right in the front they have goats that are so cute and friendly. If you have kids they will love it . They also had a gazebo with a guitarist & live singer which is so nice if you like music you can vibe to. There were covered tables to sit at right in front of the gazebo so that it feels like a outdoor concert almost :) . There is a food truck if you have a taste for some bbq . We had the pulled chicken sandwich, pulled pork sand which & 1/2 slab of ribs . All were delicious. We didn't do the wine tasting but we bought a bottle of Home Sweet Home which is like a sweet red (blackberry/chocolate flavored) it was pretty delicious with the food. (If you do the tasting they will let you keep your wine glass) We even had their frozen mango drink . It wasn't as delicious as the wine but good if you need something cold for a hot day. They also had a section for weddings that I would like to go back and check out. The space overall to host anything is great & well kept. Definitely think I'd go back on another date here.

Yelp
My Wife and I hosted a gathering and wine tasting at Robin Hill in July. The event was a tremendous success as our guest were captivated by the beautiful scenery, good wine, and great customer service rendered by the owners and staff of the vineyard. Susan and Bob (the owners) were tremendous to work with in terms of planning the event, and then presenting during the wine tasting. What a jewell of a business for Southern Maryland. The farm house where the wine tasting is hosting is a work of art, as it preserves the old farm house decor with a bit of modern finesse. Plenty of seating and very comfortable.
