An example of brutalist socialised housing. Interesting to look at and there was a long hard fight over getting the buildings listed but probably horrible to live in. They’re about to be demolished so if you want to see them visit soon.

Happy to see Robin Hood Gardens to enjoy the history and architecture before it is torn down. There is a lot of redevelopment in the neighborhood, unfortunately the Gardens hasn't been well maintained.

beautiful imposing lump of concrete sculpture, soon to succumb to the jaws of a machine, because its face doesnt fit the area any more....but it could if its was loved. Goodbye robin hood gardens.

Robin Hood Gardens presents a unique architectural concept with its brutalist design. While it holds historical value, the complex's deteriorating condition is evident. It's an intriguing visit for architecture enthusiasts, but improvements are needed for a better experience.

Unfortunately the building is not accessible to the public now & will now be demolished (except for a small bit being preserved)

Was a landmark but has now been demolished and replaced by new blocks of flats. The Victoria & Albert museum had a section removed and stored for future study.

Lived here for a small amount of years, my house in the building was something else, weirdly designed but very cosy and suitable for large families. The building brought many family and friends together. Many memories were created in this building, a part of peoples lives. It surely will be missed when the council demolishes it. ☹️

Most of the gardens are now a building site - all that is left is a mound between the building site and the remaining derelict building from the former estate.
