A Chi Spacca Alum Opens a Charming California Bistro in Westlake | Eater LA

"In the same comparison by the Los Angeles Times’ Jenn Harris, Robowok was evaluated alongside Tigawok but was not named the superior option, and like its counterpart it does not achieve the distinctive wok hei flavor." - Rebecca Roland

I’ve been a loyal customer since this place opened, and it just keeps getting better. The portions are generous, packed with vibrant vegetables and hearty protein. The flavours are spot-on—perfectly balanced between spicy, salty, and sweet. This time, I ordered the orange chicken, fried rice, and rice noodles with beef and vegetables. Each dish was cooked to perfection—aromatic, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. The orange chicken was especially memorable: tender on the inside, crisp on the outside, with a bright, zesty glaze. The fried rice was rich and savory, and the noodles were silky with tender beef and crisp veggies. Tonight’s special was a steal: buy one bowl, get the second for just $7. Incredible value for such high-quality food! I will definitely be coming back. ☺️

We just ordered 3 containers of teriyaki noodles, lemon chicken, sweet n sour chicken with an order of beef and broccoli tonight. We originally ordered on the kiosk, but whoever was working the counter noticed we missed the discount deal they had going on so he made sure we got that. All that food for $46, they were very kind, very clean, food was fast! The food is amazing, best noodles too, love love, love. Great first time experience, definitely will be back. Thank you!!!

Delicious food and it's fun to watch the robotic wok do all the cooking work! Probably the best value restaurant in town. We had a dinner for 4 and it was under $50. And they give you complimentary miso soup which is also delicious!

We had never been here before but we’ll definitely be back! Food was fresh and delicious and a great price for the quantity. The complimentary miso soup was a great touch and the gentleman that served us at the counter was extremely nice and helpful. Thank you! We will spread the word!

Always love stopping in at this place for lunch. We picked up some ramen noodles with mixed veggies and general Tao’s chicken. The food was great and the workers are always so friendly and welcoming.

First time here, I came because I saw the reviews so I wanted to give it a try. Atmosphere: The place seems to be minimalistic (and that's fine). It has two tables, two self serve kiosks and one cook. No set theme or real atmosphere, it's very bare bones. Food: I ordered my own noodles & vegetables mix & won ton soup. The noodles had several sauce options, I chose the soy blend (I did notice there was a light soy sauce option). Waited approximately 8-13 minutes for the food; given that there was only one chef that's totally acceptable but it's good to note that it's not fast food. Portions were good, generous even for the price. The taste however, was not what I expected. I wasn't very impressed, and food is subjective so maybe it just wasn't for me but something stood out to me and that it was too salty. My tongue is particularly tuned to salt, meaning I enjoy lots of salt and when I cook food others often tell me that it's too salty; so if I found the food too salty then it's way too salty (Perhaps I should've tried the light soy option). The won ton soup broth didn't taste like won ton broth, it was missing something I couldn't quite put my finger on, but the dumplings were fine & delicious. (Maybe lack of sesame oil? I don't know). Service: Fine, the chef/receptionist was nice and cordial no issues there. Overall: I think it's edible, and if I was really hungry I'd eat it but the taste is jarring and not somewhere I'd bring my vietnamese/chinese family to eat. I'm the only critical review here so far, so maybe my tastebuds are just bad. Thanks for the food.
