Roc-N-Ramen Review - Belmont - New York - The Infatuation

"Not only is Roc-N-Ramen the first ramen restaurant to open in The Bronx’s Little Italy neighborhood, it’s one of just a handful of Black-owned restaurants in the area. All the Japanese food here is influenced by Caribbean ingredients and flavors, like oxtail buns, jerk chicken ramen or a BBQ rib noodle bowl with a mix of tonkatsu and BBQ broth.Roc-N-Ramen already has a location in New Rochelle, but their 187th Street location marks their first NYC-based restaurant." - Hannah Albertine

Nicholas helped me and he was very nice. Super attentive and catered to my needs. Got my order correct and asked if there was anything else I needed. The ambiance was excellent. Nice music and the space was clean. I had the oxtail Ramen, super good! You won’t be disappointed. I will be coming back next time I’m in town !

I went here with my daughter and my husband for lunch. We had to wait a little while before we were seated. Unfortunately the restaurant is small and they have heavy traffic so you may have to wait to be seated. The ambiance is nice. The restaurant is very cozy and the staff is courteous. The food is very delicious. Everything we order came hot and delicious. The cuisine is a fusion of the Caribbean and Asian. I definitely recommend this place.

Google
The ordering system is entirely QR code-based—no servers taking your order, and the menu is quite limited. That said, the ramen is an absolute 10/10! The portions are massive, and the extra noodles I ordered came with the beautiful bowl in the photo. The place is small, but the quality of the ramen makes it totally worth it. Highly recommended for any ramen lover! I’ve been there twice but definitely will go more often!

Roc N Ramen is a hole in the wall with great food, and relaxed vibes. The staff are courteous and the food come out hot and delicious. I recommend the curry chicken ramen. Mild spice packed with great flavors.

Ordered 2 orders of Bao buns one shrimp and one of pork and took so long to receive the order. Shrimp Bao brings one shrimp. The pork bun which took over 30 mins to receive was horrible sauce was bad and hot and cold. Don't recommend getting the Bao didn't try the ramen but not likely to go back again.

First timer here 1. The place is very intimate not much room 2. On cold days I would suggest getting a seat in the back because in the front u gonna feel the draft everytime the door opens 3. You scan a bar code and pay before getting your food 4. I waited over an hour for my food however I didn’t notice only because me and my man was vibing to the music . Music 10/10 they played dancehall 5. My man got the bbq chicken ramen which he loved !!! 8/10 he also got the pork buns and he said it was a 7/10 . I got the jerk chicken ramen and I wasn’t a huge fan the flavor was there but I don’t think I’m a ramen person 😂 so I’m not even gonna try and rate it cause it would be bias of me 6. No sauce available at your table I would suggest you ask them instead of paying $2 for it cause they are nice enough to give it to u 7. We payed a total of $65 including tip for 2 bowls of ramen & the buns - we didn’t get any drinks All in all if I didn’t have to pay before I got my food I would of LEFT .

Google
Place is very homey with a cute bar, but the food.... I'm upset to say that I'm greatly disappointed. For starters, only ramen place I've ever seen not have any sauce available at the tables. The egg arrived cold and overcooked and the yolk was black. We asked an employee to swap the eggs for us, and be was kind enough to take our eggs and replace them, but it was for more cold, overcooked, black eggs. Apparently they're all cooked in one batch... The meat was also very rough and was practically half fat. It feels like someone got frozen food and eggs, boiled water, and heated them up in the water, not making it freshly. Presentation was cute at least.

Google
This place never seems to disappoint. We’ve been here over seven times with the first being our second date and the last visit being this past Saturday. When I tell you, it gets better and better every time believe me. Every time we visit her place is packed. But regardless to how busy the restaurant is, the staff is always kind attentive, and professional. They do a very good job of keeping the customers happy. During this visit, we ordered the pork dumplings, the pork bun, spicy curry, chicken, Ramen and the jerk chicken Ramen. The food was fresh and delicious everything at this restaurant is made to order so it’s always hot and super fresh. The restaurant is small so be prepared for that. I prefer to sit at the bar I feel that sitting at the bar makes you feel like you have more space. Between the delicious fresh food and amazing friendly staff this is a great place to visit on a Saturday night or for any night if it matters

Yelp
Food came quickly once we figured out how to order. I didn't love the electronic ordering experience, had to put my order in a few times and it doesn't let you go back. Not elderly friendly at all. I asked for a regular menu but they didn't have any. They didn't check on us during this process. However music was nice, vibe was good and food was delicious. Very interesting mix of options and we all liked our food. Warning- they bring the heat so if you like spicy you will love it. If not choose mild options :) Great plating/ delivery of food the kitchen is great! Thanks for a yummy experience once we figured out the tech.

Yelp
I never had Jamaican infused Japanese food, and I couldn't try this restaurant. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The place was small and cozy. I ordered with Nico, and he was great. I ordered: Merlot Rock n Punch Oxtail bao buns Curry shrimp ramen Curry chicken don bowl The food was delicious, especially the bao buns! I had a really good experience!

Yelp
Your team needs to be retrained, their customer service is terrible! We were greeted when we walked in but after that no interaction, typically when you walk in a restaurant the common questions they ask is this your first time eating here ? Do you need help with the menu etc They did none of that just sat on their phones until our order went through! Didn't check on us the entire time . The only reason your restaurant is getting two stars is because the food was good . Another tip I'd like to add is maybe put a buzzer on your door to avoid mentally ill ppl running in acting crazy Also tell your team to learn how to change their gloves , we saw them touching everything and not once washing their hands or at bare minimum swapping out their gloves! I'm very disappointed, I've been looking at this restaurant for months just to finally come and be let down.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times over the years, they never disappoint. My favorite thing to get is their jerk chicken ramen, even their bbq chicken ramen is really good. The bao buns are sooo good, the sauce and the cucumber with the meat just set it off for me. It gets pretty packed in here & the space is not that big so go on an off day or even order takeout. But the flavors are definitely worth it!

Yelp
Ambiance: 8/10 When I first walked into the restaurant, it was very crowded. Off the bat, I knew the food would be good if a restaurant of this caliber had that many customers. The only thing I will say about the restaurant is that I wish it was bigger. There are not that many tables and chairs, in my opinion, to accommodate a decent size. I am sure that anything is possible. As familiar as I am with New Rochelle, I am not in that area every day. I'd say I am in that area roughly once if not twice a month. Roc and Ramen are not out there like that to where you'd know that the restaurant is present. You could walk past it and you wouldn't have known its presence. As far as wait time goes, I wish the restaurant was big enough to accommodate the people who are waiting to be seated. Service: I find their service to be rather interesting. Depending on the time you go and how many people you have with you, you may have to wait a little while. But once you are seated, it's not your average service where a waiter or a waitress approaches you asking you if you like to order. They have a QR code. You'd scan it, scroll on the menu, pick what you want, and pay for it accordingly. As far as I know, this is one of the few restaurants that does not take cash. I could be mistaken. Feel free to correct me. But it does make paying for your meal a lot easier. Food: I ordered their oxtail Ramen. They did not disappoint. It was just amazing. To think that a cuisine like the Caribbean and for something like Ramen to go together. It's unique. I like that they give you the option to make the Ramen either spicy or mild. I like how they still made the ramen the traditional way but added their twist to the dish. The dish is not as expensive as other places I know. You can easily spend about $25 for a bowl and you'll have a full stomach. Overall 9/10 I would come back, this is a nice secluded area in my opinion.

Yelp
We wanted to get a new place and decided to try this place storming and all we went and we enjoyed every bite .. of course we all got the oxtail ramen which is a hit here. I like how you can order from your phone and then come and serve you when the food or drinks are done. The ambiance was chill and the serve was great. Is a place I would def try again

Yelp
The jerk rip top ramen had me in a choke hold for a straight month in a half...couldn't get enough of it. Perfection every time

Yelp
What a fun, unique menu! YUM! Glad to be able to try this establishment. They were busy and I can see why!

Yelp
Sat at the bar. Ambiance is like any ramen place. Service was great. Gave me a glass of water without asking. Staff was polite. Food. This is ok...too much garnish. The curry broth was too heavy with onions. It is a nice innovation, fusion with Jamaican and Japanese. I was so thirsty 1/2 way in my meal.
google avatar

Yelp
The food will be delicious for sure. I recommend the oxtail Ramen with the spicy broth not the curry broth. The pork buns are also quite yummy. The service when you're at the restaurant it's the area is very small, but Service is OK. There's not much ambience to speak of. However, when ordering for delivery, be prepared to wait it will take some time for you to get your food - and communicating with the restaurant won't prove to be successful as You won't get anyone on the phone and using the link they restaurant provides also don't work. I think those are areas should be worked on. I would like to see vast improvement. Other than that the food is quite delicious.

Yelp
Is this the very best ramen I've ever had? No. But I've eaten a ton of ramen all over NYC and the surrounding area. But it's pretty good ramen right here in New Rochelle, and the staff are great! This is a small, dimly lit place with a few tables and a bar that backs right up to the kitchen/grills. We had the gyoza dumplings with veggies. Very crispy and good flavors. I had the jerk chicken ramen, made with noodles, shiitake mushrooms, scallions, carrots, corn, egg, edible flowers, sesame seeds, fried onions, nori seaweed, tonkatsu/jerk broth. I also purchased broccoli for 2 dollars extra. The broccoli was good, but a pretty small portion for two bucks. But then again, inflation is killing us all. Anyway, this dish came with the disclaimer, "Jerk chicken is meant to be spicy, mild is not possible if you want a true Jerk experience." I got the extra spicy, and it was very pleasant heat, not overbearing. While I loved this dish packed with veggies and tender chicken, I could have done without the seaweed. It wasn't a huge part of the dish, but it didn't add anything for me, and I felt it maybe added a bit of musty flavor to the dish. My husband had the veggie curry ramen, with noodles, scallions, carrots, corn, egg, edible flowers, sesame seeds, fried onions, seaweed, and tonkatsu/curry broth. He really enjoyed his. He got mild, but said the dish still had flavor. They also have ramen dishes made with curry bbq tips, bbq chicken, curried shrimp, curried oxtail, pineapple jerk chicken (which is what I would like to try next), and more. They also have rice bowls and a kids menu. They have some fun Japanese sodas to try as well as some basic cocktails. You have a server, but you order and pay directly on a QR menu. Some people might not be fans, but we didn't mind this and thought it was efficient. Despite that, our server checked on us often. There is a bell on the table that tells you to ring if you are enjoying your meal. The chef stopped by to make sure we were enjoying everything. We rang the bell!

Yelp
Please fix your payment methods. I used the toast app, paid but the then restaurant wouldn't let me leave because the payment didn't show up on their end despite that the fact that I showed my phone that it went through. I had to pay again, so I was double charged. I'm not going back.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm. Most items on the menu were sold out, that's a bad sign, it means poor management. If you have a restaurant and you see that you're running low on your most popular menu items you find a way to get those items. The ordering system is annoying, you download the QR code, order on your phone, pay on your phone and they then bring your order to your table when it's done. Our particular waitress was not attentive, didn't bring the correct amount of water glasses, the Shirley Temple was not a Shirley Temple, she never came to ask how we were doing until the very end, we had to get her attention several times. We never received some items ordered. A dish was described as chicken and bok choy but they served it with no bok choy... just too many negative things happening in one visit. Even if the food is delicious, it takes away from the entire experience and that's what dinning out includes, the entire experience, food, service, ambience etc... Not for me

Yelp
Well, I want to give this 3.5, but I'll round up. Ordered to go. Tasty food, interesting fusion idea. Ramen had more noodles and ingredients than many other places I've gone, but at the expense of the tasty broth. (Many other places I've visited give a 2/3-filled quart container of broth, this place underfilled a pint container.) The price is a little on the high side, especially for a pork bun that had less meat than a McDonald's hamburger, but the flavor and presentation was excellent. Meat in the ramen was also very tasty, but way too many bones in the meat, which meant not enough meat. Glad I ordered takeout -- I would have felt claustrophobic dining in. It's like a Manhattan restaurant, with way too many tables crammed into an undersized room, too much noise and not enough privacy.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
This place gets a lot of flack for things but me personally, I haven't had a bad experience here. The ramen is always good and the customer service is pretty cool. To me this is the tastiest ramen locally in Westchester. But Manhattan still has the best ramen spots

Ashley Y.

Yelp
The food looked appetizing, however it was disappointing once I took a bite. I ordered gluten-free BBQ chicken ramen. The noodles were undercooked, the chicken tasted like sweet rubber, the egg... THE EGG WAS SO BAD. It tasted like Lysol and there was a pink spot on the egg. After 10 bites, my stomach started twisting and turning. Horrible food, mid service. Wait time was like 10-20 min. The worker there didn't even wash the wok... they just sprayed some water and called it a day. Nice bathroom though.

Yelp
This is my third visit here, and I really want to love this place. The servers are friendly, and the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious, and I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for one recurring issue. Every time I've eaten here, I've ended up with stomach issues, specifically diarrhea, a few hours later. I'm not sure if it's related to the busboy/server using the same gloves for clearing tables and serving food, or perhaps the large garbage bags I saw piled up in the back. While the food and service are good, I do think the cleanliness could be improved. Unfortunately, due to this, I won't be returning.

Yelp
Walked into a very trendy ramen house and greeted by a very friendly employee who instructed me to scan the QR code to place my takeout order. Everybody in the restaurant seem to be enjoying their meals and the aromas throughout the place where incredible. As an added bonus to the ambiance, the chef would flame up what he's cooking for patrons to enjoy the scene. Couldn't wait to try the food and it was everything I had expected. Extremely flavorful and visually appealing even in a takeout container.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything in there is like from a anime scene especially Naruto love the tonkatsu Ramen. And I ring that bell before and after I eat the service is amazing and ppl love to go there

Yelp
I came here for lunch and it was delicious. I loved it and I will definitely be back. I ordered the rum punch which was very tasty and had the right balance of liquor to juice. I ordered the pork dumplings and the bao buns, a pork and oxtail. The oxtail bao bun was really good it had a sweet plantain inside it and I enjoyed how soft the oxtail was and the flavor. The ramen was so good, we ordered the jerk chicken ramen. The ramen was hot and the flavor fo the ramen was smooth with a nice kick of the jerk flavor. The noodles were well cooked and the items in the ramen were really good. The broth of the ramen jerk was so good. She also gave me a slice of egg which was really nice. The lady Patrice was so nice and she split all the bao bun because we were sharing. The dishes were also decorated very nicely. You can tell they take pride in their food. Also they have the table ordering but she was nice enough to order for me because my phone froze. This place is worth a trip to New Rochelle.
google avatar

Morenike Williams B.

Yelp
Ambiance was excellent. Service - not the delay because we went during their rush, so it's to be expected. Wait staff were a bit curt and dismissive. Order was wrong- paid for extra stuff and did not get it. A bit of a shame because I had just learned it was BIPOC owned and was showing my son our need to support.
google avatar

Yelp
I've ordered once and ate in one time, parking isn't too bad at all in the area and the food came pretty quick when we ordered from the Bronx. The food is so flavorful and Ioveee the fusion. Food comes quick when dining in as well, and it's a cute date spot for sure! Great service.
google avatar

Alisa H.

Yelp
While the food was good ,paying $25 for a bowl of Ramen is a little bit overpriced. I would say and while I sat with a friend of mine for dinner. We were freezing. There was no heat in the restaurant on one of the coldest nights of the year so far. Also to pay an extra two dollars for bok choy when they put two pieces in is a little overpriced. I would say it was definitely worth a first try but won't be going back.
google avatar

Erickson R.

Yelp
The food here is a must try. I've tried almost everything here and love it. If you like Caribbean flavors, you will like their ramen their ramen which is mix of both Japanese and Caribbean flavors. My favorite options are their BBQ curried rib tips and their curry chicken ramen. The food comes out quick and their customer service is on point. The appearance of the restaurant is cozy and reflects a Japanese traditional look. You would like it and must try

Yelp
I will say I did not step foot into the establishment so I cannot speak on waitstaff or ambiance. I ordered online and had it picked up. The good arrived nicely packed. I was surprised when the kids dish was almost as large as mine. I got the jerk shrimp ramen minus corn and my daughter the kids tonkotsu ramen. I was disappointed mine did not come with crispy onions or any nori and my daughter was disappointed she also didn't get nori, bean sprouts or a flower. However this was made up in flavor. These ramen were super flavorful and delicious. The jerk was still spicy for advertised as a mild option. I can take the heat...I'm Jamaican. But for let's say a child or someone spice adverse, that could've been a problem. The pork belly was good, crispy but tender. The eggs were cooked perfect as well, with a soft yolk. My only disappointment was the lack of advertised items in the dishes. Also I ordered a side of pork belly for myself which I did not see. I assumed they just added extra to the kids (comes with 1 piece but had 3 smallish pieces) which is a disappointment if that were the extra.

Rhoda C.

Yelp
The ambiance is very lively and the food did nice ! The music is great and this is a true Jamaican. Nico welcomed us in and was extremely helpful with handling our dietary restrictions. You can smell that they season their food here. Again, the food was so good and very worth the trip!

Yelp
My friend wanted to celebrate her birthday at a rock climbing studio nearby. We were looking for somewhere to eat for everyone's food preferences mainly vegan and somewhere that served alcohol. It was also raining and cold so this was the perfect place. I love the fusion of ramen with soul food/Caribbean style dishes. I don't think I have a picture but i did get the oxtail bao bun which was so good. I chose the jerk bbq ramen for my dish and it did not disappoint. I believe this was the smaller bowl size and the portions was amazing. Although I didn't get a vegan option I loved the vegetable portion size. I think because the restaurant was packed there w as a few issues with our orders. One person from our table got their order pretty late. However everything was delicious with no complaints about the food. It was a tight fit in the restaurant but felt cozy and kind of homey. If I lived nearby I could see myself frequenting this place oft

Yelp
Ordering - you have to scan a QR code and order on an app and pay first. I even asked can we please have a physical menu and order with a person. They said we could not. Appetizers- gyoza seemed like it was from the frozen Costco section. Not good. The seaweed salad was fine. Ramen- I got the tankotsu ramen. It was so sweet and they put teriyaki chicken in the ramen, which I think should be illegal. There is virtually no Japanese influence in this food. Very bad ramen. Unfortunately this was just a waste of calories and a meal. I think they're trying to make it like a Jamaican version of ramen. So if you like Jamaican food maybe you'll like this, but if you're expecting classic Japanese ramen, this is not it. My boyfriend got the ox tail ramen. The ox tail was 99% fat. So was the pork that he added on. He said it tasted like they just took a bunch of salt, sugar, and hot sauce, and mixed it in a bowl.
google avatar

Marisela S.

Yelp
Not a fan of having to order & pay through phone. But the food was great. Want to go back & try the oxtail boa buns. Smaller than expected but nice vibe, good music as well
google avatar

Duane G.

Yelp
Before we moved, we frequented this place fairly often, and for good reason. Their ramen is great, with a lot of variety for type and for add-ons, including some nice spins like Curried Oxtail (which was unfortunately sold out this time...a testament to how good it is). Their service is quite accommodating, and the atmosphere tends to be bustling with activity. It's unfortunate that we don't live as close as we used to (ordering their ramen for takeout isn't as good as in-person), because we'd likely be going more often-it's worth it.

Yelp
What a wonderful Resturant!! I loveeeeeed the flavor they put into everything!!! We had Gyoza Dumplings w/ Vegetable (5) Shrimp Buns ( very VERY tasty ) BBQ Shrimp Ramen (Mild) best ramen I ever had lol Vegetable Ramen - wonderful I just love the food, it came out hot and ready! Everything was full of flavor We got exactly what we asked for! I notice there's a bell on every table and customers get to ring it to compliment the Chef, so cool. We will definitely be back
google avatar

Yelp
Such a unique spot and menu. I'll be coming back! Jennifer S. and I came on a Friday afternoon. We must have just missed a wave of people, because the restaurant was packed when we came in but empty by the time we left around 7:30 on a Friday. The menu is large! It has a lot of traditional Japanese dishes and flavors but also some fusion with Caribbean flavors. I got the jerk rib tip ramen ($19): lots of goods and definitely spicy. They didn't skimp on any ingredients. The presentation was busy but fancy. At times is was a little difficult to get servers' attention. I assume because of covid, you order on the phone. Getting the covid checkin deal takes a bit of work, but it's obviously worth it. Someone will explain it to you if you ask. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow the best fusion of Jamaican food and ramen that you never knew you needed! I find myself craving their food way TOO often. Their oxtail ramen is insanely flavorful and has a good amount of fall-off-the-bone oxtail. Their oxtail bao buns are also to die for ! Try their jerk chicken ramen if you're not a fan of oxtail and you won't be disappointed. Their Rib tip Ramen is also one of my favorites. Their restaurant is small but quaint and the wait staff is super friendly. If I'm ever in the New Rochelle area, this is my number one pick of where I want to eat.

allison

Yelp
Service was not there at all, they just greet you. You have to put your order in on the app and pay right away. The ramen is a bit overpriced for it's quality and I have had better at places that are cheaper. The last time I went, the ramen was in chunks, i guess they didn't thaw it enough- Much rather prefer fresh ramen ..which is how they're pricing their food. So you're just paying for frozen never fresh ramen for 19-23 bucks. I tried giving it 3 tries but I never leave satisfied.

Yelp
Love the name of this place. I think they may have some issues to work out, though. I sat down at table 2B today at about 1230pm, and it was only me and a couple sitting at the bar (not including whatever take-out I couldn't see). I ordered and paid by phone using the scannable code on the table. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen and a seaweed salad. Because the seaweed salad was an add-on that the service offered after I ordered the Ramen, it showed up on my check on the second line, after the Ramen. After 10 or 15 minutes, I got the Ramen, and asked for the seaweed salad (which would generally be delivered to a table almost immediately). Not 5 minutes passed and my salad came out, and I'm glad I had it, as I couldn't eat the Ramen... it was too spicy! I rang the bell on the table, the waiter came and I told him I had chosen "mild" for the Ramen. Like... I hit "mild" and I saw the bubble next to it light up... but on my check, it doesn't indicate that. The waiter said I had chosen "Extreme spice". Yikes. No wonder I was crying! No problem though, he fixed it up and 5 minutes later, the mild Ramen was in front of me. The seaweed salad I found to be high quality and very crunchy... loved it. The Ramen was decent, but I didn't love it the way I expected to. If they had tonkatsu base in stock, I'd have ordered that, but all they had was curry base, and that might be what made the difference for me. I won't be back since I don't live close by, but it's an interesting concept (oxtail Ramen!) And if they can improve service a bit, it's going to be worth a visit!

Yelp
Stopped here while visiting the area for an overnighter basketball trip. With us getting there with some time to kill, I ended up walking across the street and trying this. Walking in I just say at the bar, and scanned the QR code to order. Not a fan of that. Ordered gyoza, a couple buns, and a tonkotsu ramen. Without asking a girl brought out a water and utensils. But no chopsticks. I guess they were out. In ramen houses Vog almost has me trained to use chopsticks. So not having them when the gyoza came out I almost felt underprepared. The gyoza was OK. Reminded me of the kid you get in bags in the freezer section. The buns were good but the meat inside was tougher than staring at the massive vat of liquid that sat on the counter across from me. Was like a dark motor oil and had separated. The ramen was large - but flavorless. The photo shows that the shoots they gave me was about 10 times larger than the protein - which also was over cooked and tough to chew. Also the ambiance was tough - I mentioned the large liquid container on the bar - to my right was a guy cutting meat parts into a large food box. Really appetizing, Made my stomach turn. Overall - would recommend trying it, just sit with your back to the open kitchen, and ask them to season your ramen.

Yelp
This spot is awesome! Growing up in a Jamaican neighborhood and not living there anymore has had me struggling with cravings for good jerk spice and this place definitely hit the spot. Food is great and novel. You can tell they care about their food with the portion sizes and quality. Love the fact that you order off the app, and the seats bar side were very reminiscent of my time eating ramen in Tokyo.

Yelp
Is a must Ramen place My son go me hook to this. The place it self is lovely & they even have outside dinning. We got there 10min early and they let us sit & chill before we started out ordering. Waitress was always on point and checked up on us. And the food is A1.

Yelp
I have eaten in and have had my food delivered, the food is always amazing. This is my go to Ramen spot!! I have tasted others but is by far the best in flavor and portions.

Yelp
I naturally had my doubts about whether ramen and curry could be combined, but f**k my meal was delicious. The curry ramen I had was bursting with flavor, and the jerk chicken rice bowl was great as well. I really loved how thoroughly they were able to accommodate allergies including gluten and sesame. I'm just sad they don't have any outposts in LA because I can't wait for another chance to eat there again.

Yelp
I blame management! Waited forever for my cold clumpy noodle soup. Strangely on the menu you they call this Ramen. Waited over half an hour for my food and watched people come in and get served before me. The kids that work here work hard and I don't blame them. Leadership is atrocious. The fact that I had to eat with a winter coat on because the heating is insufficient is nasty work. Needless to say this is my last time dining here and paying $75 for lame service and subpar food I work to hard for my money.

Yelp
This place was an amazing find for me and I'm so excited to back again! I had heard about this place on the radio a bunch and finally decided to try it with a friend. We went at 5pm right after work and the place was empty but the music was lively and the staff were so friendly. The ordering and payment system is contactless and all via online ordering. Great for these COVID times. We sat at the bar and got a front row seat to the chef making the ramen. The ambiance is very casual and laid back with the music to match. We ordered the oxtail guabao with added plantain and OH MY GOODNESS they were to die for! The oxtail was so tender and juicy. You have to get the added plantain! It adds so much more to the sweet and savory pairing. I had to order an extra serving to go. We got the curry chicken ramen with added side of beef tips and the curry shrimp ramen. All the proteins are cooked so well and so tender. The broth was on the thicker side which I appreciate because some places have very watery broth that I don't like. The mild spicy which is the normal has a kick to it but tolerable. The flavors are intense and a tad on the saltier side for the normal person but I'm pretty heavy handed with salt so it was still good. It made for a great pairing with the beer selection. They don't have made to order cocktails here but they have a small selection of canned cocktails. The servers were very nice but the restaurant is pretty self serve. The utensils and napkins are found at the front of the restaurant and are taken as needed. As it got closer to 7pm, a few more tables of people started coming in and the food took a little longer to come out as there's one chef. I would definitely return and I'm glad to have found a great local casual food spot.

Yelp
Love the food and the staff. Waitress was so friendly and always had a smile on her face. The mobile ordering feature was a pleasant surprise for someone who has social anxiety when it comes to ordering food. Sometimes I feel rushed, or just need extra time trying to decide what I want. But at Roc N Ramen I had the most stress-free experience ordering at my own pace without having to speak to a waiter/waitress and paying all at once. You pay, receive your food, then leave whenever you're done without having to wait for the check. The ramen was amazing. Highly recommend the bbq chicken ramen! The bao buns were not as squishy and fresh that i'm used to but still tasty. There's a bell on every table that you ring if you like the food, and the kitchen staff yells Thank You everytime put a smile on my face cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
I'd never even heard of Caribbean ramen. I have to say I was surprised at how good the jerk broth was. I'll be back! They play good tunes too :)

Yelp
That's so amazing! So sad we discovered it right before we had to move. Place is absolutely amazing. So tasty! Food is really good. We had taken and rice bowls and both were great. We had edamame which every time was good as well. You order and pay with your phone, so the process is very easy. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Yelp
Service was great and the ramen was better. I loved the curried oxtail ramen and my husband really enjoyed the chashu-don. Now that I think about it, I think we shouldn't have ordered the oxtail buns and ordered a different type of meat bun ... oxtail ramen and oxtail buns .. too much oxtail. The restaurant isn't a big place but the decor is nice and it fills pretty homey. Looking forward to going back ...

Yelp
Great Ramen! The flavors were excellent. Very nice fusion of Asian and Caribbean flavors. The shrimp and oxtail buns were delicious. The ambiance is cool. Very laid back, but a bit tight. The service is not a traditional waitress taking your orders. You place your order via QR code. The server was alone and working hard to make sure take out orders, and customers at tables were taken care of. I'm going back for sure for those oxtail buns.

Yelp
Flavors very reminiscent of soup, especially oxtail Ramen i expected a more caribbean taste. It was delicious nonetheless. I appreciate the fusion on Japanese culture and Caribbean feel. Service is more of on your own, expect little wait service. Beverages not bought to the table.
