"Roc South became an instant success when it opened on Buford Highway in 2019. The honey lemon pepper wings here are great, but it’s the jasmine rice seafood gumbo, which also includes chicken and beef sausage, that steals the appetizer show. Diners at Roc South justifiably rave about the whole fried snapper and the lamb chop. The “southern fried”, hot-honey-glazed chicken stands out as a prime example of how to treat plated institutions of soul food with modern reverence through its beautifully stacked presentation." - Mike Jordan, Eater Staff

"Likely best known for more popular dishes like honey lemon pepper wings, jasmine rice seafood gumbo, Southern fried, and hot-honey-glazed chicken, start off a meal at soul food restaurant Roc South Cuisine with the seafood egg rolls. The egg rolls come stuffed with cheese and a mixture of salmon, shrimp, and crab meat and are then tossed in lemon butter." - Beth McKibben

"Opened in 2019 on Buford Highway, Roc South Cuisine serves a number of stand-out Southern and soul food dishes on the menu, like jasmine rice seafood gumbo with chicken and beef sausages and fried snapper glazed in Cajun sauce. But make sure to order the fried chicken here, which is tossed in honey hot sauce. It comes served with a choice of two sides, including collards, yams, mac and cheese, and French fries. There’s also a hot honey fried chicken sandwich on the menu." - Eater Staff

Okay let me start off by saying my wife and I have been flirting with Roc South since the pandemic first started. We both used to do UberEats and we'd pick up orders from here. Those orders would smell so freaking good on the trips to customer homes so we always imagined eating here. Well fast forward 5 years to Valentine's Day 25 and I'm proud to admit it was very much worth the wait! We pulled up to find valet that only worked off tips, no official charge. Then we get in and the ambience and service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely a delight to look at but it tasted even better. I had the blacked salmon while my wife enjoyed the roasted red snapper. For an app, we had the seafood rolls and they were A1 as well. 10/10... Definitely recommend you try this place. And I believe they're black-owned, which means something to me and mine. ♥️

Google
The food was great. The seafood rolls especially were really good. I had the lamb chops cooked to perfection. The drink was excellent as well. The service was okay, it seemed pretty busy at the time with limited staff. With that in mind it wasn't bad but it did take some time to get service after being seated.

Google
I had an amazing experience at Roc South Cuisine! I ordered the turkey wings, and let me tell you....they were huge, juicy, and full of flavor. I paired them with double cabbage, and it was the perfect combo. The menu options were incredible — there’s something for everyone, whether you're craving soul food classics or looking to try something new. We went during the weeknight (my friend made reservations), and the vibe was just right. Parking was super easy, and I noticed they also offer bar seating for a more casual experience. I will most definitely be going back. Highly recommend for a relaxed yet flavorful night out! Be safe and enjoy!

Google
Nice new look. Fancy inside. R&B music outside and inside. Nice and clean restrooms. Greeted immediately and served fast. Not super large but well paid out & very adequate seating and free parking. Entrees are about $30 per and apps are around $11 per. With a drink, app and food your at $65 per after tax and tip. Maybe you can get an entree, tip and tax for $45 but their desserts and apps are likable so it’s hard to turn them down. Half off appetizers mid day. Wings-Honey Lemon Pepper 10/10 fresh and hot. Great flavor. I can taste the honey & lemon pepper. Brussels- 10/10great flavor and portion for only $10. I like the small Brussels. Crispy and flavorful. Fried chicken entree- 10/10 great sauce, it takes away some crispy but still crispy. Greens perfect and yams A1. The flavor penetrates without being too sweet. No complaints. A restaurant $28 for this ain’t bad. Maybe it could’ve come with corn muffin. $3 extra for muffin. Turkey Wings- 9.3/10 zucchini spirals fine, I thought they’d be sliced instead of julienned. They had much butter in the bottom. Black eyed peas well cooked and flavorful. Good meal value. The turkey has a thin gravy and I think a thicker smothered gravy would up this. Muffin- nice from scratch taste with honey Overall I had no issues and glad I stopped. I’d highly recommend this place and refer my people. I was full and left with leftovers. Strong plates and forks. Great Job ROC South! I’m very critical and I think you did a great job. Wish you had the peach cobbler cake-sounds so good Carrot Cake-8/10 looks great. The flavors could be stronger in it. Cream cheese/cheesecake like icing and I prefer a traditional type of icing. It’s light. It’s tasty but not a wow. Lamb chops most expensive at $44 and they could be $40 frfr Music a little loud but manageable.

Google
Omg my server was amazing 🥰. Thank you Mia for your smile and great energy. I had the seafood egg roll it was really good and cheesy. I had shrimp and grits as well the first plate came out salty but Mia handled that and it was good the second go round. The atmosphere was great will come again.

Google
When I say go….go!!! Our server name was Nia very beautiful person inside and out. She took very good care of us. The food was super delicious and freshly made. My husband and I had the fried lobster tail with macaroni, yams, and greens (husband had the greens). We also ordered a side of Hot Honey chicken. 10/10 highly recommend.

Google
first experience for a birthday dinner. it was cool. lydarius was so sweet and attentive i would love him as my server everytime. good music , i wish they had a little more entertainment like tvs but the food was good appetizers didn’t really care for

Google
This establishment offers modern decor and upbeat music. The hosts sat us as prompt as they could. They were not sticking to the 90- min dining limits so the wait was long. The bar is the spot that needed the most improvement during our visit. My Friend and I went to the bar where they looked like they were confused about customers ordering. Took tooooo long to acknowledge and then did tedious stuff instead of just serving us.. Took 20 mins to get 3 drinks and sister girl was back there leading get he’d on the dreaded dudes shoulder while he came and dumped a bottle of champagne in a carafe and killed all that customers bubbles on their mimosa carafe…. I would like to see better attitudes and the establishment’s workers. Note the bill came with a service fee and then they left rooom for an additional tip like they didn’t Just add 39$ to our bill already. Very deceptive And karma does come around

Yelp
how can one explain food that was sent by the heavens?? seriously though, this place was amazing. the food came out hot and quick. and everything was 10/10. even the macaroni. we got seated fast with no reservation. our waitress was attentive and kind. one of a kind experience especially in Atlanta

Sandra F.

Yelp
I know everyone loves it. I thought it was ok, just mediocre. Service was also just okay.

Tyler C.

Yelp
Could the best creamy grits in Atlanta come from a transplant from Queens (Roc) who moved South? Yes. This place has some amazing dishes that could be best in Atlanta. I had the short rib and grits which had enough grits for the dish and was amazing. A side order of grits undressed of anything but the grits, wasn't at the same level. French toast was top notch. Sausage wasn't. Coffee was cold, and a refill granted but not offered. Peach Bellini was ok. The vibe was strong with balloons And a festive atmosphere. And two people sitting next to me at the bar were food bloggers. Worth a visit! Order cautiously for a great experience.

Yelp
Hate that I have to update my review & it's not positive. So I recently revisited Roc South on 9/20/24. I initially was trying to go to Toast but the wait was too long, so I came here thinking it's the same food. It definitely wasn't, I proceeded to ask if it was still owned by the same owners of toast and was told it is Not. For food we ordered the strawberry French toast, my cousin got some type of cocktail, & I ordered chicken and waffles. The French toast was ok. The chicken and waffle was 0/10. My waffles were very cold, chicken was room temperature, the glaze was thick and lumpy. I sent it back , and the manager came and apologized she said she felt it & it was indeed cold. That was great customer service. It came back out 1 minute later, as though the chicken was warmed but waffle was the same. I didn't eat the waffles, ate some of the chicken. I didn't bother saying anything again, just asked for the check. Paid & left. The vibe is chill. Our server hardly checked on us, but they had other people bringing the food down no wait there. Managers response to initial complaint of food bring cold was great.

Yelp
The way we cleaned our plates here! Our server was amazing. She helped with recommendations and was honest about what to order. We went on a Sunday for brunch. It wasn't too busy when we got there which was great. As time went on it began to fill up. The service was great and the music was on point. I got the turkey wings with rice and veggies. I was licking my fingers. We didn't get a picture of the appetizers but those were all good too. We had crab fingers, lemon pepper shrimp and seafood dip. Every plate was clean. Can't wait to go back.

Maleka H.

Yelp
Love the food here was very much deliciously Southern. Staff were friendly, space was clean, decor is simple. The menu has a great variety and the price point was reasonable. The gumbo was so delicious and honestly everything we ordered was perfectly seasoned, temperature was great and food came out super quick.

Brandon W.

Yelp
This spot became one of my favorite spots in ATL off one visit! I will say the wait time was ridiculous (should be expected one certain days). However, the staff/service and food was amazing. Simple design/layout with a nice vibe. I had the Seafood Dip which was top notch and the Blackened Salmon Alfredo was flavor packed!

Kimberly F.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Friday. Was able to be seated right away without reservations. Service was fast and food was even better. We got the Spiced Garlic Crab Fingers as appetizers to share and the Chicken & Strawberry Cheesecake Waffle to share. Both were just enough for 2 people to have us satisfied and with some crab fingers leftovers. I rated these Crab fingers as the runner up behind Pappadeaux's crab fingers. Keep in mind when you're paying that there's already an 18% service charge to your bill no matter the party count. It is Valet only although we saw some people get by self-parking when the Valet guy was parking other cars.

Treana A.

Yelp
Came in for a birthday brunch. They have free valet parking which is a great thing! Making the reservation was pretty easy as well and I had to last minute add a guest which they allowed. The service itself though was rather slow. Not sure if it was because we were first to sit outside or what. The food overall was good. I think I was the only one that didn't care for my food just what I picked. Everyone else was fairly happy. I would come back and sit inside and see if the service is different. Overall a Good spot.

Jai B.

Yelp
My review is based on the fact, this was a brunch for a group of women. All the tables sit 4. It was not a comfortable meal for a group of five. Someone had to sit in the aisle. Our waiter was really nice and provided us with informed information about the food. My least favorite thing I ate or the wings. They were not seasoned well and the sweet savory hot sauce was kind of gross. On a positive note I sampled others food and loved the fried lobster, catfish and seafood dip. I would recommend this restaurant, especially because based on its business model I'm not sure how long it will last. I'm not sure why it has valet parking based on the fact that it's not that kind of spot. My reading is based on the waiter, other people's food and the quickness of service.

Terry S.

Yelp
Everything about this experience was superb! I am not into the brunch craze cuz to me it seems like a lot of young people overspending on bacon and eggs. However, I am willing to admit when I'm wrong. You have to check this place out! Everything we ordered was delicious! Our server Marquis delivered impeccable service too..

Joycee W.

Yelp
Met a friend for brunch and I like this spot. Upon entry into the parking lot, your vehicle is valet parked. I normally don't choose this option because they can head crack you with the fees. Not here, you can tip to your preference and they accept cash or PayPal. We did have to wait a couple minutes even though we had reservations but the wait wasn't too long. We were sat and our waitress came almost immediately to take our drink order and gave us an appropriate amount of time to look over the menu. We had the fried shrimp as our appetizer. They were jumbo and fried to perfection. I believe they are battered in cornmeal-not my favorite BUT these were delicious and well-seasoned with a butter sauce drizzled on top. My entree was the fried chicken breast and wing, macaroni and cheese & sweet potatoes. The Mac and cheese was so good and creamy & my chicken was juicy and the skin had a fantastic crunch to it. The sweet potatoes seemed to come from a can but were okay. My friend had the fried whole wings, Mac & cheese with greens. The chicken and Mac were perfect but her greens were a bit too vinegary. Nonetheless, we had a really good time. I was unable to finish all of my food and took the rest to go. I had the leftovers for breakfast and it was sooooo good even reheated!

Yelp
10/10 simply put just go don't think about it don't hesitate. Don't ask around. I'm here to tell you just go and do yourself a favor and try this place out ASAP. I love this place so much. I can't even explain the joy I have typing this message right now. The food is so good. I mean it is absolutely delicious. The flavors, the crispiness of the fish and the chicken the sauces that come with everything everything is crafted perfectly. I honestly cannot put into words how good this establishment is. We sat at the bar just to make it quick, and the server was absolutely amazing. She took her time. She explained things to us. She gave us suggestion. She even gave us a taste test of some of the side dishes. Like other places in Atlanta, this restaurant is kind of small however, the aggravation of being overly crowded with table goes away as soon as your dish is handed to you. One good thing I like about this place is that they do have an outside patio to sit down so during the spring and summer months it opens up just a little bit more because seating is available outside. We went during the evening so it was pretty dark outside and I have to tell you the ambience in this place was absolutely amazing. It was well lit, but not overly in the music was just right so that you're not yelling to speak to the person next to you. I love this food so much. I'll be back tomorrow.

Yelp
We hosted our team building brunch on Juneteenth and decided to support a black-owned restaurant on that day. We decided on Roc South. I have been a patron since they opened and have always had a great dining experience. This time was no different. My colleagues and I enjoyed our food and the service was outstanding. Even with our large party, there was no wait on food and all the orders came out correctly. They all commented on the vibe of the restaurant and many said they would come back. Thank you to the manager who was so professional and accommodating in booking our reservation and the entire staff on that day. Again, I highly recommend dining here. Favorites: Seafood dip, Gumbo, Fried chicken and waffles, Lobster & grits (I'm sure the catfish or shrimp and grits are good too), Steak and eggs

Kevin W.

Yelp
This place only has valet parking. I got here a few minutes before they opened and other cars just parked so I decided to park too. Valet attendant came to the front and was asking for folks keys. I think everyone ignored him. People come before a venue open so you need to be ready. I sat at the bar and the stools are comfortable and I like the TV that is upfront. The bartender is nice and the staff are good. I ordered the braised turkey wings with collard greens and yams. The turkey wings are large and messy. They are sitting in a broth/juice. The wings, greens, and yams are all cooked to perfection and taste amazing. I did add for some hot sauce which wasn't that hot. I really like the food. I noticed that my bill had an 18% service charge. I am curious to what this is since they also ask for a tip and suggest 20% for tip. I assumed the service charge was not for the staff that waited on me and I gave a tip. What is the service charge for? Why not increase all menu prices by 20% and get rid of that line on the bill?

Chelsey L.

Yelp
Decided to try this place while visiting ATL and was not disappointed. Upon arrival they were very busy but the service was great and host was so nice she seated us with little wait. Good R&B music was playing inside and outside for us to enjoy. The food was DELICIOUS. The Mac & Cheese was 10/10 wish I would have taken some back to NY with me.

Shanita B.

Yelp
Food was excellent make a reservation before hand they have the best Arnold Palmers and the lamb chops and Mac and cheese was good

Laveda P.

Yelp
I've visited this location several times, and the food has consistently been excellent! The quality and flavor never disappoint. Highly recommend!

Micaela R.

Yelp
10/10 Happy hour was great and the drinks were strong! Our server Nia was so wonderful and checked on us especially when it was very busy. We ordered the wings and the salmon bites, the wings were good and the salmon bites were just okay. I definitely will be back. The DJ was a mixture of old and new school and it was absolutely perfect.

Shaeyla D.

Yelp
Phenomenal! That's the one word I'd use to sum up my experience. I had heard great things over the years but had never been here. Well while back visiting I happened to be staying very close by so asked my sister if she wanted to go. SO glad we did! They only have valet parking which wasn't a problem and also was free. We made reservations online since we were going at noon on a Saturday when they opened. It didn't seem like we needed them after the fact but who knows. Our service was great. I had the seafood egg rolls which were sooooo good. I'm still thinking about them. My sister had the lamb chop breakfast so it came with breakfast potatoes and Gouda cheese grits. Yummy! It's your typical black brunch place so the ambiance was as expected, not bad though. I absolutely recommend and can't wait to come back!

Jacinta J.

Yelp
This place is so cute! It's located in a strange location, but I appreciate the fact that I don't have to deal with the typical Atlanta business experience to eat here. We had lunch Thursday at 12 PM and the place wasn't too busy. We were quickly set at a table and the waiter came very quickly. Our food and drink orders were quick and we thoroughly enjoyed our options. You have to try the seafood dip, while it's a smaller portion, the dip and bread were fantastic. We also had the wings and honey pepper shrimp. I wouldn't recommend the wings, overall they lacked flavor - the shrimp were really good. We ordered salmon pasta, the grits and braised ribs, and a crab cake. All of our food was great.

Samaria R.

Yelp
I visited roc south for the third time and everything was delicious. I will definitely be back for the crab claws.

LaDreena W.

Yelp
Yep! Nailed it! The best soul food I've had since moving to the area. Perfectly seasoned and balanced. Music was a vibe. Happy hour margarita was on point!

Shari A.

Yelp
Great food! I had the fried lobster. It was nicely fried in a lightly batter. The lunch menu is terrific.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town, so glad this place was open. The staff is polite, the hostess and my waiter were both very welcoming. My waitress helped me select a few options that she recommended. I ordered the seafood dip, honey lemon pepper wings,Mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. It was all freshly prepared, the portions are good, it was all delicious. If you enjoy fresh food , you'll enjoy Roc South Cuisine.

Carissa E.

Yelp
It was good. I was too happy with the server. He wasn't bad just he didn't have that southern hospitality (he said he was from NY, so I'm not surprised but so am I ) Anyway, the food was decent but I believe I need to come again and try a few things off the menu Maybe on a weekday

Mary M.

Yelp
Roc South has been around for a while and I've been during every season (weather wise) and each time has been different. I haven't had a bad experience but they're just all different. Let me explain.. One time I came with a big party and we had a great experience. The menu had changed from the previous time but the food was still good. Oxtails aren't on the menu at all times, but when they have them - GET THEM! They're extremely delicious and decadent. The mac and cheese is ALWAYS on the menu and it is always spectacular. I came and sat at the bar with my cousin and we met another couple of girls next to us and made some friends. We had the seafood egg rolls and they're always great! Sitting outside when the weather is nice is beautiful. You'll see beautiful people, nice cars, celebs and stars but the best thing about this black-owned business is that everyone is always so pleasant. I haven't had any bad experiences with their staff. Plus, the bar is on point! Try them out ASAP!

Ericka-Denise N.

Yelp
Mos. Def. will be going back here! My bday brunch (11-26) was a GREAT one! I made reservations for a party of 6 for (what I thought was 2pm) 2:30. We of course got there for the time that I had in my mind and was seated at 2:25! The ambiance of this restaurant is very chill! The decor is very nice! The blue velvet is a nice touch. I ordered the salmon patties (haven't had these since I was a little girl), scrambled eggs and potatoes. The patties were off the chain good! I mean, I had forgotten the taste, but when I did, my taste buds went CRAZY!! My husband ordered the catfish, collards, and mac n cheese, which he said was delicious! Oh, I almost forgot that my appetizer, the seafood dip and garlic bread was BUSS'N!! Marquise, the waiter was very attentive and patient! I highly recommend trying to restaurant...I doubt you'll be disappointed! P.S. Valet Parking is complimentary!

Dannier M.

Yelp
This is hands down the best southern cuisine restaurant I've ever been to. I highly suggest the Candied Yams, it was the best side our party had, and the Lamb Chops were unmatched. The waiters came to check up on us 5-6 times in our one hour dinner and always made sure our drinks were refilled, really great service. The restaurant is super lively and has a live DJ up until closing.

Victoria S.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! The blackened salmon and greens are my fav! I tried the macaroni and cheese for the first time and it was really good! Everyone is really professional and organized, which was great on a busy Sunday afternoon. The music is such a vibe. I always come to Roc South when I'm visiting Atlanta.

Ebony R.

Yelp
Per my visit, Sunday morning. Food : solid 10/10. Ambiance: 10/10. Service: 6/10. I am just going to assume people were not in the best mood that morning...

Abby S.

Yelp
We loved eating at Roc South Cuisine. Service was great. Very delicious food. Our party of 11 were seated and served promptly. We ordered all the great appetizers salmon bites were my favorite. Greens were excellent and so was all of our other main dishes. Everyone was pleasant and atmosphere was very happy and friendly.

Cassandra K.

Yelp
Our group had a variety of dishes! Everyone enjoyed the food and ambience! Outside added to the experience!

Tanisha K.

Yelp
I have been trying to come here for a few months now and I finally made it. We were able to sit at a bar table since we were working it was more room. The waitress was there to get us water but we were still getting adjusted and she asked our drink order. Of course we weren't ready. 20 min later she come back and takes our drink order and food. It was kind of funny cause we were like did she ever come back and here she comes. She takes our order and it wasn't a long wait to get the food or drinks. The long waits is the service. I was reading reviews as I sat waiting and it's disappointing how consistent it is. I would love to come back. Definitely an added touch and I love seeing more when management comes to help out.. but next time I would rather have it to go. The chicken batter is really good. The Mac and cheese has so far been the best I had in Georgia. The greens were seasoned and meaty but the candied yams. I prefer mine soft. These safe close to candied yams that are in a can but still good flavor. Also it's no dress code . I watched so many people come with t shirts and denim cut up jeans.

Sasha S.

Yelp
I've come to Roc South a few times. I've dined in, sat at the bar and have ordered out and have been happy with my experience every time. Roc South is an elevated Soul Food experience. A higher price point, but the service, ambiance and food are on par with the increase. The food has been excellent every time I've been. I normally get a cup of the Seafood Gumbo which is so good, and they don't skimp on the seafood. The cup is also a nice sized portion for one person. I've also tried the Southern Fried Chicken with the greens and Mac and cheese (which is prob one of the best Mac and cheeses I've had in a while) and the Salmon Pasta both which were excellent. Perfectly seasoned and big enough portions. It's been hard finding really good Soul Food in Atlanta which baffles me, but Roc South definitely delivers.

Yelp
Came in for my monthly Sunday brunch date w/ my mom. The flow of service and atmosphere is nice, but the food could use a lot of work! I'll start w: food because that's the most important. Drinks: I got the Georgia Peach. This was sweet and tasted pretty good, nothing to write home about though. My mom had a pineapple mimosa and she said she wished it was sweeter/more juice flavor. Food: For an appetizer we had the short rib egg rolls. For our meals I had the oxtail & grits, a special for the day and their first time having it (I was skeptical). My mom had the hot honey wings, Mac & cheese, and yams. We also ordered a piece of caramel cake to go for my dad. - Short rib egg rolls (4/5): Pretty good. The wrapper is flaky and cooked well and the provolone cheese made it creamy. The meat was well seasoned and overall it was good. The dipping sauce seems to be the same one they serve with the seafood egg rolls and while the sauce is good by itself it simply doesn't work for this. I would recommend a sweet chili or even gravy or something to dip these in. - Oxtail & Grits (3/5): I've had this before at another restaurant and loved it, so I was a little scared of trying it here with it being their first time offering it. Unfortunately, this wasn't bad but it missed the mark for me. The Gouda grits are deliciously creamy, these I did enjoy but I was not impressed by the oxtails. They were meaty, but overall it was lacking salt and didn't give me the Caribbean oxtail gravy flavor I was expecting. It tasted more like a pot roast over grits. In fact, it tasted a lot like the short rib from the short rib egg rolls. - Hot Honey Wings (4/5): I had to rate these hot honey lemon pepper wings separately from their sides because this was the best thing we ate while we were here! These wings were delicious.. crispy and that sauce was to die for. I would literally come in just to get those breaded wings in that sauce! I only knocked off a star because the whole wings seemed tiny. - Mac & cheese and yams (3/5): The mac & cheese was creamy and I enjoyed the cheese crust. Definitely could've used more salt to wake up the flavor. The yams were sweet and soft (just how I like them) but I definitely think they come out of a can. - Caramel cake (4/5): Definitely not like an authentic caramel cake as far as the icing goes but it was still pretty good. Very sweet with moist cake. Parking: Complimentary valet was nice and quick! Reservations: I was easily able to make reservations through Resy and was seated promptly upon arrival! I was scared they wouldn't honor it because I forgot to respond to the confirmation email the night before, oops. Service: Our waitress was nice enough and helped us quickly. She was able to answer any questions regarding the menu and make suggestions. The food came out quickly. Ambiance: It was pretty standard brunch decor, however we couldn't help but notice the lack of artwork on the walls. A few murals or art pieces on the walls would definitely elevate the space. The music was at a tolerable level and it was overall a very casual vibe.

Yelp
Tonight was the most disgusting service. Sitting at the bar , ordering drinks and we noticed the bartender (Tim) eating with his bare hand and making drinks without gloves and or washing his hands. He was literally standing in sight hand to mouth eating shrimp. Totally poor customer service. do better!

I loved everything about this restaurant, from the food to the music to the decor/ambiance. Our waitress was very friendly and patient with us! I would definitely recommend getting ANY version of the catfish and the grits, whether it's together or separate. (You MUST get try the crawfish sauce on the side too.) My only criticism is the size of the table. Not very spacious for a party of 5 or more.. Other than that, it was amazing!

Yelp
It was pretty busy for a Saturday night and we were able to be seated quickly. Those spicy garlic crab fingers were truly special. They had the perfect amount of heat and an even better flavor, I wish I ordered more. The mac could have used more seasoning or a stronger cheese as it tasted very dairy like.

Yelp
This is my second time eating here and it did not disappoint. My mother and I stopped in for dinner before heading to see Usher. We made reservations online and we were seated as soon as we walked in, which was great. The host was very nice. The decor is very nice. Very cute for a date night, a girls night out, or to celebrate a birthday. We started with the seafood dip appetizer which was on their happy hour menu. It was served with garlic bread and was definitely 10 out of 10! It was so good nice and creamy. I had the southern fried chicken meal and my mother had the lamb chops. We had absolutely no complaints about our visit. Our server, Erica W was great. She was knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be back because I need that seafood dip again.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place, but was very disappointed. The restaurant it self has a nice look even though they force you to pay for valet parking. I ordered the appetizer, Honey hot lemon pepper wings and a side of mac and cheese. Such an epic failure! The wings had absolutely no flavor and were hard and over cooked. The ranch sauce that they serve with it is very watered down. The Mac and cheese, again absolutely no flavor and the cheese crust was so hard and dry. Needless to say we sent back 3 dishes because they were so bad. It was sad because the price was over $80+ for a couple of side dishes and 3 drinks that we ended up being charged for along with a minimum of 18% gratuity automatically charged! WAY OVER PRICED AND DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT!! The only nice thing was the staff was very hospitable, so thank you for that. 1 out of 10 would not recommend!

Yelp
I went here with one of my friends for lunch. Once entered, we were automatically welcomed, which is always a good sign for me. We were seated and ordered mimosas while we waited for our meals. It didn't seem like a long wait, maybe around 15 minutes. I got a platter with catfish, mac & cheese, and yams. The catfish was my absolute favorite part of the dish, although everything tasted great. The atmosphere reminds me of a classic brunch spot in Atlanta and the decor made it relaxing.

Yelp
I came on a Sunday. I sat at the bar and ordered a drink as well as food. Strawberry Champagne Margarita - 7/10 - i'm not really into sweet drinks. But if i'm judging strictly on flavor and presentation it's a solid drink. Southern chicken with greens and man n cheese -7/10 The chicken was cooked well and the sauce was cool. it's a sweet hot sauce. you can get it on the chicken or on the side. You also get a choice of white, dark or 3 wings for the chicken. The sides were great!! The greens were very flavorful, the mac was cheesy as well with a nice flavor. Now they do charge you a service charge... Mine was 7.56 - This is 18% gratuity. All in all, is definitely visit again. The playlist is the bomb! I was singing the whole time. They have a tv by the bar as well.

Yelp
The service was great, and the music was nice! The food was meh at very best! $62 before tip. Pricing would have been okay if the food had been a 4 vs. a 2. Turkey wings, you get two. The woman dining next to me ordered them, and they looked delicious. My order had very few peppers and onions, which was disappointing, flavors were okay, but the skin was inedible Cabbage was bland White rice was, well, white rice, lol, but it went great with the wings Cornbread was meh, and it was not included in the meal, which I felt was odd Collard greens - I was excited because they don't use pork, but they replaced the pork with vinegar! This side was disgusting! Would not recommend Yams were yummy Iced tea was awful. It had a bitter taste, and the mint was brown and wilted Honey pepper wings were good but they gave us 1 flat in the entire order!

Yelp
We had a great experience at this restaurant. The waiting area is spacious, and the patio looked nice, but we chose to sit inside due to the heat. It was a bit chilly, but the hostess was pleasant, and the ambiance with 90s R&B music was perfect for this upscale Black-owned restaurant. Our server was attentive, and the drinks were fantastic--I had the Georgia Peach with Crown, served in a little wine glass, and it was just right. For appetizers, we had the Cornbread (3 pieces for $7) and the Honey Lemon Pepper Shrimp (6 pieces for $12). The shrimp had a sweet honey glaze that paired well with the hot sauce and ranch, and the cornbread had a nice cake-like sweetness with a homemade texture. Everything came out hot and fresh. We all had the Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce ($26 + $2), and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were just as impressive. I had collard greens and julienne vegetables--both flavorful, with the greens having a slight vinegar tang and the veggies seasoned in garlic butter. My brother's mac & cheese had a toasted cheesy crust with creamy noodles, and the mashed potatoes, made with red skin, were smooth and well-seasoned. This was our first time here, but it definitely won't be our last! We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice but the food was only ok. We went as our office Thanksgiving outing. I must admit they like things sweet. I'm a collard green girl, but they were sweet, we all left them there. However the chicken gets a 10/10. The whole wings were fried perfect and they tasted good. The honey lemon pepper wings were good and also fried perfectly. They did not miss with the chicken. My colleagues enjoyed the catfish but they weren't pleased with the turkey wings, they needed to cook longer. My cup portion of the gumbo was on point, but the bowl did not have enough fixings. Overall it was ok, not in a rush to return. The service was good, I think her name was Jay. She was nice and attentive.

Yelp
The waitress was a doll, she knew the menu well, was funny and honest about options. I can't recall the name, but I ordered one of their peach cocktails with gin- game changer! Yams were my favorite so sweet and soft. Lastly, my friends were not a fan of the cornbread...

Yelp
3.8/5 I came twice in one weekend. I will combine the experience for this review. Service: Had a reservation both times, yet still had to wait an additional 15-20 mins to be seated. Not too much of a problem because it beats having to wait 1-2hrs w/o one. It also takes them a while to make it back over to the table for periodic check-ins. Other than that, the service was decent but they are extremely slow. The first night our drinks came out after we had already finished our food. I wanted to tell the server to forget about it and take it off the bill; but by the next I was able to flag here down she came to the table with the drinks in her hand. Food: Both nights I went, the food took at least 20-35 mins to come out. I can say that the food is always spot on. The flavors and seasoning are always consistent. I highly recommend the fried chicken wings or the fried catfish with the honey hot sauce and the Mac and cheese. I will say since the food is consistent, I do plan to try more options. Ambiance: Always really nice inside, good for a bday dinner, date, or just because. They do have valet parking, which I think is tips only. Overall: I will be back, but I'll always make a reservation before coming. The food is always good, but I do hope they brush up on their wait times; which goes for seating, food/drinks, and service.

Yelp
It's been 4 years since I last been here and fell in love with the food. Although salty, I was still a fan. Having recently been back, the food is still salty! How is this even possible?? Sigh. So check it, I took my friend here who was visiting from Florida to celebrate Juneteenth by supporting a black owned business. They did some renovations to the front end of the restaurant by adding more seating which I like cause this place can get busy, especially on the weekend. I ordered Blue Lychee Breeze which is a mocktail. For the record, I'm a fan of anything Lychee. It was a a heavy pour on the lychee syrup which made it toooooo sweet for me so I asked the bartender to balance it out with club soda. That helped a little. As far as service, it was lax honestly. After we were seated, our waiter took a while to come over and take our drink and food orders. Oh and she forgot our cornbread which boggles me since so much of her time was spent chatting and kiki-ing with staff. We also came around 2pm on a weekday and it wasn't busy; just for reference. For food, I ordered the short rib n grits and my friend got the catfish n grits. Salty but not to be eaten in one setting. Both are filling. Would I be back? I honestly don't know. Oh yeah and 20% is automatically added to your bill. Frankly, the service we received was 15% worthy.
