30 Best Restaurants in Lisbon for Crispy Suckling Pig, Pastel de Natas, and Bifana Sandwiches | Condé Nast Traveler

"Inside The Ivens hotel, the spectacle begins at a soaring central bar stacked to the ceiling with colorful bottles, then shifts through rooms that nod to 19th-century glamour, nautical stripes, and classic Italian trattorias. The food backs up the drama: veal carpaccio, truffled steak tartare, scarlet shrimp risotto, and rigatoni all’amatriciana, capped by a tiramisu whisked together tableside—fresh, creamy, and dangerously moreish. Negroni lovers will find a dedicated menu, though I’ll always choose the classic." - Abigail Malbon

Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Maximalist design meets delicious flavors at Rocco. Here, you’ll find a little Italian and a little Portuguese all mixed together, and it all works. It's a prime spot for seafood fans with plates like prawn risotto and lobster linguini and comes with fancy touches like oysters and caviar." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Exceptional Dining Experience at Rocco Lisbon! Rocco Lisbon is one of those places that instantly impresses you from the moment you walk in. The interior is absolutely stunning — elegant, modern, and full of vibrant energy. It’s the perfect mix of sophistication and comfort, ideal for both a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The food was outstanding — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The seafood pasta and beef carpaccio were especially delicious, and the desserts were simply irresistible. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the chef’s attention to detail in every bite. The service was top-notch — professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The staff made excellent recommendations and made us feel truly welcome. Rocco isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience — great music, amazing cocktails, and a lively yet classy vibe. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Lisbon!

Food wise. Hands down one of the better places in the city centre. I had seasonal menu of Grilled Hare. Was done not too bad. Not as tough as what I had elsewhere. Drinks are good. Nice local Portuguese wine. Haha special mention of the tiramisu done table side. Have a look at my photos. Special mention to the awesome toilet. Best toilet I been to in Europe! Hahaha please see video. Haha Thank you.

We had this dinner booked in for some time ahead of our holiday and it didn’t disappoint. We were originally booked for the restaurant but changed the booking to sit at the bar with a more casual menu. It was still very good. Oysters were first class and they had terrific vegetarian options. Drinks menu was extensive. They had their own sommelier and the cocktail menu was the highlight. There was a DJ in the corner, absolute vibe.

Food is amazing. Service and wine is very good. I prefer atmosphere, music and general vibe in the Gastrobar, rather than the restaurant (which is more private). Some notes to the restaurant: The restaurant sofa seats were too low, not very comfortable to eat. Blinis with caviar were lacking sour cream, too dry.

Coming from New York, we honestly didn’t expect much from an Italian restaurant abroad. We had heard here and there about Rocco being a bit of a hotspot, but after a long day of sightseeing and realizing we had no reservations anywhere, it ended up being one of the few places still open at 10pm — so we decided to give it a try. The food was good — not the best Italian of my life, but definitely enjoyable. Drinks were really good. What we loved the most, though, was the interior and the atmosphere: chilled, stylish, and filled with great energy and friendly people. Overall, it was a perfect “late night, no-stress” dinner. We’d definitely come back next time we’re in Lisbon.

I had seen a lot of reviews on Instagram and TikTok about Rocco’s so I knew that I had to check it out to see if it was really as good as the hype it was getting. It is difficult to get a reservation in the restaurant itself but it is worth it! Reservations in the bar are easy to book. All the staff are friendly, attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic! There is also an extensive wine list. The decor is beautiful and even the toilets are luxurious. I agree with everyone that this is definitely a place to try out while in Lisbon! For the food, drink and atmosphere! Loved it!

We made reservations at the bar for dinner here based on a recommendation from a friend, and the experience was fantastic! The service was absolutely excellent and the drinks were delicious. We had dinner at the bar and really enjoyed the food, and the relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful inside, and has plenty of seating options. Prices are moderate. I would highly recommend reservations as this is a hugely popular restaurant with tourists and locals alike.
