There’s a reason Rocco’s has been in business since 1951…. Quality, value, service! Supreme pizza, Margarita Pizza and lasagna all amazing. Something special about the house Italian dressing on the side salad turns iceberg lettuce into something special. Our server Danielle was the best!

Authentic food, nice atmosphere and reasonable priced. I had the meatball sandwich and my wife had the mostaccioli with meatballs, both were very good. Give it a try, you won’t regret your decision.

Ordered carryout large combination pizza. First ye trying th8s restaurant after living in SB for 30 years. I was really surprised at how heavy the pizza was when I picked it up. It smelled delicious in the car on the ride home. Absolutely fantastic pizza... toppings wise anyway... The dough was a bit on the soggy and chewy side but it still tasted good. Even better the next day. Will definitely be back for more.

The BEST, MOST FRIENDLY, and lovely place I have been to in South Bend! :) :) I INSTANTLY felt like I had returned home when I stepped in - the owner, Warren, and his lovely family deserve every bit of success they get! There were families laughing, hugging and kissing each other, and having a ball of a time! The food is so nice, amazing portion sizes, and is very rustic and healthy - the pizza tastes just like we are in Italy, and it doesn't make me feel unhealthy like in Dominoes etc

Delicious. I did a google search on best pizza in South Bend. Rocco's was the top result. It did not disappoint. I don't have anything to compare it against but it would certainly be a challenge to top it and probably won't waste time or money looking. Once I find something good, I tend to stick with it.

My love of Rocco's began in 2016 and grows stronger each time I am fortunate enough to frequent the establishment. This was the first place my family grabbed a meal when I was dropped off at Notre Dame as a freshman, and has consistently provided 5-star food, service, and atmosphere at every visit since. Most recently, I misplaced a receipt for reimbursement from dinner at Rocco's from a month prior. After a quick call (outside of business hours even), they ardently searched for a reprint of the receipt and sent a photo of it to me (saving me a trip back in the middle of the work day). Safe to say I will remain a loyal customer of the best pizza place in South Bend, period.

The character alone makes this 5 stars. Amazing staff, owners, history, charm... experience was already made when we walked in the place. Pizza itself is best in South Bend, thanks to the crust primarily. It's especially good if you have a big, hungry group of people looking to eat well close to ND. I'll be coming again, God willing.

We had pizza. We could definitely tell it was homemade. It was really good. We would definitely order from there again.

I felt the family vibe as soon as we entered the building. It's so charming. The tables are packed tightly together and it can get LOUD. I was a bit worried as I had a headache, but everyone was so friendly and the food was so good that I was able to tune out all the noise. Do yourself a favor and try the pizza.

This is an Italian food icon for South Bend. It looks like it hasn't changed in 40 years. And the food is made with the same love as it was back then (probably). The servers are extremely knowledgeable and the owner(?) comes to your table to see how your meal went.

Best meal in South Bend. Great food, great service, and such a great environment. We were traveling from Southern California and ate here twice on our short vacation to visit Notre Dame. As soon as my teenage daughter walked in- she said she knew it was going to be good because of how good it smelled as soon as we walked in. We can't wait to come back! If you're in town- eat here. Highly recommend!

What a popular place this is! Such friendly service from this family owned restaurant and the pizza is delicious! The Rocco's combo pizza was a hit for us. A true hometown restaurant!

Another great dinner at Rocco's! The construction made it a challenge to get here but it was worth it! Hubby's ice-cold beer hit the spot for him. One of these days we really should order something other than pizza. But the pizza is sooo good! Whether you prefer regular or thin crust, that tomato sauce is perfectly tangy!!

I ordered the linguine with clam sauce. The sauce was a bit thick and without flavor. The clams tasted as if the open a can of minced clams and just poured it on top.

Want to try a classic mom and pop staple in South Bend? Look no further than Rocco's which was about a 10 minute drive from Notre Dame campus. Our group shared the salad, combo pizza, and cannoli. Everything was delicious and highly recommend for those wanting pizza from an Indiana gem. Excellent service and loved the classic cozy restaurant.

My family has been going here for years and my grandmother is a good friend of the owner. The restaurant gets pretty loud, but the food and service are both sigma. I love coming here whenever I visit.

This place features Notre Dame, Italy and family with a huge dose of outstanding Italian food. Come here hungry because portions are large. We had pizza tonight and it was wonderful. They have a good selection of beer and wine. It's not fancy but it is good. Not a large place and don't take reservations so come early. First time here for me was in 1985 and I enjoy coming every time I can.

Food at this location seems to be really good, my first impression was the ambiance and service, so professional.

The legend of Rocco's Pizza! My boy and I love the history and amazing pizza. No bells and whistles, just excellent homemade crust and amazing pie. We haven't tried anything else, because we love the pizza. The service team is so friendly and welcoming. It adds to the charm. The restaurant is just that, an old school restaurant that makes you feel like family! Go Irish!

The owners were at the hostess station welcoming everyone like family. Locals and Domers filled both sections of the dining room, but service was prompt and food was delicious. We were going to order 2 salads for our group of 8, but our server said they could just bring out enough for those who wanted (everyone!) The salad was very cheesy with crisp veggies and olives (with pits). We tried the mushroom and olive oil spaghetti and fettuccini alfredo. Both were cooked perfectly, but we should have ordered a side of chicken or meatballs for more protein. The pizzas were all excellent - we got a half hawaiian and half margarita as well as a whole Rocco's Combo. My favorite was the Rocco's Combo - thin, crispy crust with generous toppings and a great cheese pull. We forgot to order the cheesy garlic bread, so that's yet another reason to come back!

Takeout was fast and on time even for a saturday night. Loved the vibe. The pasta dishes were good, not great. The Cannolis were great. We would go back.

Be prepared to wait- but it is def worth it. This place was recommended and rated well online. They are old school- name written on a list and the hostess will announce your table overhead or outside. No text messages to let know your table is ready. That being said- the Pizza was great. Crust and sauce tasted homemade. Even the cheese tasted good! Julia salad was okay-nothing unexpected. Hubby said the cannoli was great!

A friend recommended Rocco's and we're so glad we finally visited. Came in a busy Friday night, despite the line the owners were very friendly and seated us within 5 minutes. A little place in a south bend neighborhood not too far from Notre Dame. Clearly the locals know how good this place is. Our server was friendly and despite the fact the dining room was full she gave us great service and took our order quickly. We started with their meatballs in sauce and also ordered the Rocco's special pizza. This place is legit!! Our appetizers and pizza were delicious! Crust was perfect with the right chew and crisp, sauce was delicious and toppings were perfect. Can't wait to go back!

Service is great! Five stars! Food was so so. The thing that I was not happy was that they didn't honor their menu price and told me they did update the menu. I ordered Linguine with Mushrooms, the menu listed $14.75, but when I got the billed, it's $16.95. I asked the sever, she told me they didn't update their menu, and didn't honor what their menu offered. To me this is false advertising!

My favorite Italian restaurant in South Bend. Their homemade Italian salad dressing is outstanding (and they sell it for you to take home!). I love their cheese ravioli with marinara sauce and the freshly baked bread. Friendly, kind staff and great value.

The service and food are outstanding. We had a salad, meatball and small pizza. Everything was very good at a reasonable price. The only thing better than the food was the service. We will be back

Another disappearing revoew. Roccos is blocks away in my neighborhood. I have had great pizza from Roccos..but not when they are busy. When they are busy I get an undercooked ( as in raw dough in the center) pizza. Have dined in once or twice, service was good, food took a long time.

I understand that they are very busy and it's family owned. The owners were very very nice. I was just not satisfied with my food when I got at home it did not live up to my expectations and everybody was ranting over It's obviously very good because they were very busy. I will probably go back, but I'm just gonna try something else other than their pizza.

We had a great meal after a long day of seeing the sights around South Bend. My kids had pasta with butter and the rest of us had a pizza pie. Delicious!!!! The waitress was friendly and the crowd was lively.

What a delicious meal. Definitely a family owned business with fresh pasta. The lasagna, tortellini, and fettuccine alfredo were delicious and a large portions. And the gluten-free spaghetti was surprisingly good. I hope we can visit again.

This is my family's "go to" pizza place when we are in town. The owners are delightful and the ambiance is energetic. My husband went to Roccos when he was an ND student, and now we are taking my son, who is also an ND student here. The daughter of Rocco and her husband now run the restaurant, and the quality of the food has not changed. They consistently make the best pizza and it shows by how packed this place is every time we are there.

My son and I drove to ND where our daughter attends ND Law School. We have always wanted to check this Rocco's Restaurant out; however, a lot of the time we arrive on Sunday and they are not open on Sunday. The first thing that I noticed is the availability of parking near the front door. Being young and able to walk, we parked in the cyclone fenced parking lot right next door. We were immediately given a booth seat on the far side of the room. Our waited greeted us before I had my overcoat off and offered us a drink. Cecilia was very special and worked diligently for the next hour taking care of our needs. She brought us the drinks promptly and asked if we were going to dine in or take an order to go. We told her both and proceeded to order a cheese pizza for dining at Rocco's and then we placed a large order to go. The medium size cheese pizza. We received it in about 12 minutes. It was placed on an elevated stand and made it a lot easier for everyone to grab a slice of this delicious pizza from Rocco's Restaurant. Alexis ordered a side of Marinara Sauce for her dinner on Sunday night that she was going to have with Pasta. We ordered for Geri; Penne Pasta and side of two meatballs. We also ordered some garlic toast and a slice of cheese cake. I ordered Julia's .Salad; it was a great salad. I also ordered Baked Lasagna. The food met our expectations and exceeded our anticipation. I would highly recommend this very cleaned and friendly place to eat. They thanked us for visiting as we walked out.

MASSIVE delicious pizzas!! their pasta is also SOOOO good!! quick service, casual dining, nothing fancy just the knowledge of a really solid meal in a local and iconic restaurant. be sure to get a t shirt, i regret that i didn't!

Was so looking forward to dinner here. We drove 4 hours to take our sons out for their bday dinner here, they live in Elkhart. The service was ok, the kitchen and management not so much. Our food came out in waves. My son and husband received their food and were almost done before my other son and the 2 grandchildren received their pizzas. EVERYONE was fed and enjoying desert before I received my dinner, a hoagie sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!! The waitress was apologetic and said she'd send the manager for a refund or discount , His solution was to tell us ... "Do you see how busy we are in here tonight". No apology even let alone any kind of discount. Our waitress was ok, the food that the others got was great. I ended up taking mine to go as everyone else was done and fed it to some pigeons. It was cold and no good then. Was so disappointed in the lack of caring by management.

It's a Notre Dame staple with pretty good pizza. Great service and the place hasn't been updated in probably 50 years but in this case, it actually adds to the charm. For pizza places, it's top notch. I won't give it 5 stars only because it isn't what I would ever consider a 5 star restaurant should be, such as some of the expensive steakhouses in the country. Then owners are delightful and treat everyone as family.

Great neighborhood Italian Restaurant. I always get a sausage pizza. Great thin crust. Sausage made on site. Very flavorful. You're treated like family here. Pics on the wall of various celebrities who were regulars when in town for Notre Dame events. Can get noisy, but that's part of its charm.

Great pizza - super yummy. Cozy older Italian environment with good wait staff. Would definitely go again. Crust is a good balance between thick and thin crust.

Old school family Italian. Everything we had was great. The pizza, spaghetti, salad, all good! Go sit and have a meal in a place that has been open since the 50's!

Old school Italian restaurant. Very nostalgic. Pizza was good, and the Spumoni was a great way to cap off a solid meal. I would highly recommend when in South Bend cheering on the Irish.

I am a student nearby, and I cannot recommend Roccos enough. Wow! Originally from another Midwestern town, I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The servers and employees are all so friendly, service is speedy, and the prices are great. AND, the food is outstanding! Roccos is a timeless place and a must have while in South Bend!!!!!

This is the cutest little Italian place in South Bend. It's been there for forever and honestly probably the best pizza you'll find in south bend! Other items on the menu are just okay (such as the bread, just ok) but the pizza is the real star. Honestly, I've never even ordered anything else cause it just didn't seem worth it to skip out on the pizza! The place is small, or just consists of smaller tables and booths, so just keep that in mind for larger parties and busy football weekends.

Stepping into Rocco's feels like stepping into a bit of South Bend and Notre Dame history. Old framed newspaper cutouts are all over the walls. The atmosphere feeds off of this. The pizza is delicious. I had been craving a good pizza for a while and Rocco's had it. I just wish I hard ordered more because before I knew it, everything was gone. Be sure to show up early or be prepared to wait. Rocco's is an extremely popular restaurant and space is limited inside.

Well absolutely get you some pizza from here. Crispy crust and tons of toppings. It was the perfect pre-bbgame dinner!
